It was forbidden to step foot on these grounds, to enter passed the ring made of salt and enchantments. He knew the lengths they went to, to keep him hidden, to keep him prisoner. The level of energy, the level of magic used to detain him, to objectify him. How many others, had lost their lives, to the dedication of his containment.
The thought in itself, was enough to put a smile on his face. Over a decade he spent, trapped within the confines of the celestial graveyard. Unable to leave, unable to remain how he once was. They condemned him, trapped him in the form of a beast, the only extent they could manage. They were scared. So terrified that the grounds he was forced to walk, the birthright of the entire coven, was closed off. Isolated, for the remainder of his life. They cursed him.
Only because they lacked the power to do anything else.
It was the auburn hair that caught his attention first, the perfected framework of her facial features. He could feel the strength vibrating from her, and it called to him, like a moth to a flame. Intoxicating, more so than any drink he had ever experienced. She was walking a dangerous path, crossing over the intricate lines drawn against the dirt, her heels echoing against the vacant pad of the dirt. Her voice called again, but he found the beat of her blood, was what he clung onto. Like the subtle tick of a clock. It was mesmerizing.
Had it been any other night, he would have tore her apart without a second thought. The beast taking over, and the hunger for blood would have without a doubt won over. However, this night, the night of the full moon. When his own magic was amplified, not even their subjugation was strong enough to suppress him.
“Two visitors in one night, my, isn’t this a treat,” his voice was dark, an echo in the night. He heard her steps coming to a halt, the hitch in her voice as she grew nearer. “I must admit, you are rather easier on the eyes then the one prior.” He chose to remain in the darkness, instead to watch her from beyond the stone confines of the various tombs. The energy pulsed beneath his feet, the moon only furthering to hold high in the sky.
“Pretty little doll, you are a rather far way from home,” his voice, growling low with amusement, the scent of her blood, doing nothing but intoxicating his nature. He was curious to say the least. Curious as to what brought her into such a sacred place. It was a sin, to cross into this plain without permission from the council. What reason did this little beauty have to risk it all?
