It was a bright day at Disneyworld. The sun shining so high it hurt a little. It was hot and Joe’s arms looked a little sunburnt, but you had too much fun to care about that. He said there would be aloe vera later. What mattered now was how much fun you were having, especially with your little girl on your side.
Already she was one year old, and the trip was made for all of you to have fun as a family. Would she not remember this? Maybe not, but you would! Even as you rolled her in on the stroller, she was smiling, and her big eyes were looking everywhere. So many bright, pastel sights, caramel smells, and loud, joyful music caused her to kick her chubby legs in delight.
“Hey look there!” Joe pointed out.
There was a ride full of bright pastel teacups spinning around on a wheel as the riders inside made the teacup itself spin. It played the colorful, whimsical opening of “Very Merry Unbirthday” delightfully as the riders cheered.
“This looks fun, doesn’t it! And the Disney Adult blog I read has it listed as safe for her age- she can go!” Joe insisted.
Before the trip, Joe researched Disney World religiously. He wrote down and planned every detail to the hour of your trip. He insisted Disney was different from your average run-of-the-mill amusement park. You had to plan and secure Fast Passes for any of the Good Stuff ™ and even figure out which characters would be there that day. Any baby could take a cute picture with one of them and your phone was full of your daughter with smiling princesses and button-nosed animals.
Rides were different.  But with a little one year old girl, the Mountain Roller Coasters were out of the question. He made a list of rides that she could go on with you and you tackled them all, braving lines that were only forty minutes as opposed to the usual two hours from Joe’s Machiavellian Fast Pass and hour strategy. You went on Small World, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Country Bear Jamboree, Winnie The Pooh (your daughter’s personal favorite so far!), Jungle Cruise, and Peter Pan. Now you were tired of rides for the moment, but Joe wanted your daughter to experience every ride she could- and The Teacups were next on the list. You had all just braved long lines to get some refreshing lemonade on this hot day. Joe’s dole whip was already devoured and discarded in the trash bin nearby.
“You go on ahead, I just would like my drink.”
“Are you sure, Y/N?” Joe asked.
“Yes, I am! Go have fun with your daughter!” you said.
All of you were wearing matching shirts with your own color-coded Mickey ears, sunglasses, shorts, and comfy walking shoes. Joe scooped the girl in his arms.
There’s a kiddie ride and you’re in that section. Yes, it was tiring, but it was fun and bright. Above all were two things: one, your daughter got to experience it and have fun. And secondly, Joe, who’s a giant kid himself got to experience it and have fun.
You sat there, sipping the Lemonade. It was so sweet it took everything in you not to just chug it down in a second. You watched as Joe, carrying your little girl, was progressing closer and closer to the ride. Indeed, he found way to keep her entertained. He even pointed to where you were sitting with the stroller. He waved with his hand and your daughter followed suit, smiling. She was indeed a wonderful combination. The best of Joe and the best of You all rolled up into one person. She was a miracle and the love of your lives.
It still took a little while. Looking through the photos taken so far today, there was so much genuine love it beamed off of Joe’s smile. The way you looked at each other like you were good enough to eat as you took photos in front of Cinderella’s Castle. Then when your daughter was with Daddy to meet her favorite characters, she was either beaming with her big eyes or shyly cuddling dad for comfort.
He made his way up and the Cast Member secured both dad and baby were secure onto the ride. Even the cast member seemed to smile and fall under your daughter’s cute smile.
You glanced to your right, seeing one parkgoer, dressed in the purple and yellow colors quoting Rapunzel with Flower crown ears watching the ride while snacking on a Giant, Mickey Shaped Pretzel. You struggled not to laugh at the irony, considering how you and Joe met.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
They were serving giant, soft pretzels at the cafeteria and you were excited. After a hard, long morning of classes you were starving and it sounded amazing to you. It was one of the few cafeteria foods that wasn’t absolute shit.
So you got over there, ready for that pretzelly goodness. Facing another line that was too damn long. When you finally got to the promised land of that area…there was only one.
You reached to get it when you saw a white hand meet yours to touch the pretzel. It grazed against your own instead.
Who on earth would want your pretzel! They had some nerve! You turned to them only to find the cutest boy you had ever laid eyes on. Yes, there were ripped, hot guys. Yes, there were suave, tall-dark-and-handsome types. But this guy was…approachable. Human. Yet divine all the same. He was a  red-haired boy with hazel eyes, a sharp nose, and of medium height.
His eyes widened, looking right back at you, piercing into you. For a second you just stared at each other. Then, snapped back to reality, you turned your head to the single pretzel. His own followed yours.
Sweeping with your hand to present it, you said  “you should have the pretzel”
He shook his head.
“No- you, should get it!”
 “No, you!”
Your heart picked up as the words flew out.
“How about we split it?”
You couldn’t let such a cute, seemingly single guy get away from you!
He let out a little laugh and a smile. “Why, sure thing! Doesn’t bug me at all!”
Using tongs, you got the pretzel on your plate. Then taking a silver knife, you cut it in half and gave it to him.
“Here you go,” you said.
“Are you…are you sitting with anyone?”
“No” you replied.
“Well, neither am I…”
“I don’t even know your name!” you insisted.
“Name’s Joe.”
“I’m Y/N.”
Both of you found a spot and were chatting, getting to know each other. Joe was easy to talk to and always listened to what you had to say. He was studying film. Oh God, please not a film bro, you prayed quietly as you chewed on your soft pretzel. Thankfully, his tastes were not full of four-hour slogs or hour-long exploitation films trying to pass sexual violence as art. No, not at all! He was very sweet and bright with excellent taste. In fact, he was an actor!
“No way, what were you in?” you asked.
“The biggest one was when I was a kid…I was Tim in Jurassic Park!”
“No! Shut up! With Laura Dern and Jeff Golblum??”
“Yup! He even gave me a Beatles album!”
“Wow!”
You had gotten up to go get some dessert to continue the conversation, but your foot caught onto a puddle of slippery Coca Cola spilled onto the floor. Your foot lost its stability and you started to trip.
That is, until Joe reached down to catch you with his arms.
Just from that look, feeling safe in his arms- his eyes piercing yours and yours piercing his, you knew you found someone truly different.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Joe cried.
His voice cut you back to the present day. Joe was cheering on the teacups as happily and passionately as any roller coaster. Your daughter let out a laugh and in her security seat, even she was lifting her chubby arms to enjoy the ride. The wind whipped through them as they spiraled in their purple teacup.
Thank God for the soft pretzel. Thank God for the soda on the floor. Such small things, yet they led you to such indescribable happiness and the two people who loved you and who you loved in turn more than anything.

REQUEST
@borhapgirlforlife19 - Can I request a fluffy Joe Mazzello x fem. reader long oneshot where reader wakes up and hears laughter and finds Joe in their daughter’s room having a tea party with their 2 year old daughter and as she watches her adorable family, reader remembers how she met Joe at college when she accidentally bumped into him and he helped her pick up her books and when she looked up at him it was love at first sight?
Y/N stirred from sleep. She was halfway into slumber when another faint tinkle of laughter rang through to her pulling her awake. She pushed herself up and rubbed her eyes before looking around the room to find that she was alone. Joe who should’ve been sleeping beside her was gone and as another laugh rang out from down the hall she figured she knew where he was. Slipping out of bed she padded gently out of the room and down the hall. As she peered into her daughter's room through the slightly ajar door she could see Joe and her daughter sitting at the small table and chairs inside.
Joe was sipping a cup of air, his pinkie extended, as Eliza shrieked in laughter.
‘Oh my lady,’ Joe said in a high nasal voice, ‘this tea is delightful. It’s a shame our dear Eliza cannot have any.’
‘Daddy,’ Eliza said reaching for the cup out of Joe’s hand. He raised it above his head as he continued to tease her, ‘no this tea is for Daddy’s only.’
She stood now, her big hazel eyes now narrow, and her face scrunched up in concentration as she reached a pudgy hand out trying to pull it from his grasp, ‘now, blue bear and I suppose she could have some if…’
‘What?!’ Eliza said with frustration.
‘She gives Daddy a big kiss,’ he said. Eliza reached her hands up to either side of Joe’s face as he leaned down so she could place a sloppy kiss on his lips. Joe chuckled and offered his cup down to her and she grabbed at it. Pushing it up to her lips and sucking on the air inside with excitement.
Y/N smiled at the pair of them who had seemingly not noticed that she was standing in the doorway as they were far too enamoured in each other. As Eliza offered the cup to her teddy, blue bear, Y/N’s mind travelled back to a familiar memory.
She had been on her way to a lecture. Autumn had well and truly landed on campus, bringing torrential rain and winds that threatened to blow all students away should they need to go outside to get around campus. Unfortunately, this was Y/N’s circumstance. Her psychology lecture had just ended and she needed to get practically a mile away to get to her next one. She stood at the door of the psychology building watching as the rain bounced down so hard it ricocheted upwards making even men of 6ft wet from the ground up. People were running in and out beside her but she didn’t want to take the risk. She liked being warm. And dry.
As she checked her watch she noticed that the lecture was going to start any minute. She needed to make a decision. Finally, she decided to brave the cold and launched herself out of the doors but as she did she ran straight into someone who knocked her bag and books flying. Brand new textbooks clattered out of her hands and into a puddle at her feet and her bag fell off her shoulder spilling its contents all over the sidewalk.
‘Oh my god,’ she shrieked as she bent down and started throwing things back into her bag.
‘Sorry about that,’ the man said.
‘Sorry!?’ she said irately. She shoved everything into her bag and he grabbed her textbooks before the pair of them darted inside back under the cover of the building.
‘I didn’t see you there,’ he said as he handed her back her sodden textbooks. Y/N’s face fell as she took in the state of her brand new very expensive books.
‘Well you didn’t look very well did you,’ she grumbled.
‘Honestly, I was just trying to avoid the rain,’ he said nervously.
As she looked up she took him in properly. He was cute she had to admit. His hazel eyes were watching her worriedly though his mouth was turned up in a slight smirk that made a funny feeling rise in her stomach. She was sure that his hair was light brown but it was wet making it look darker. He was a little way taller than her but of average build, though he had an air of boyish charm she could feel luring her in. She was cold from the draft the door was making and her now wet outfit but she was slowly and surely warming up from the inside out the more he smiled at her.
‘Well I guess I can’t blame you for that,’ she said offering a small smile.
‘No you can’t,’ he said, ‘but me knocking you flying you can blame me for.’
‘Oh I one hundred per cent do blame you for that,’ she chuckled, ‘and I can blame you that I’m now nearly ten minutes late for my next lecture.’
‘Oh yeah?’ he asked.
‘Yeah, I mean me not leaving absolutely no time to get myself across campus because I didn’t want to go outside is nothing to do with it,’ she chuckled.
‘Of course,’ he said, ‘I’m sure that’s my fault somehow too.’
‘Well we can always stick to that story if my professor asks,’ she giggled.
‘Well in that case I suppose I’m going to have to make it up to you,’ he said with a smile.
‘Oh definitely,’ she said.
‘And how would a guy like me do such a thing,’ he replied.
‘Well you could tell me your name?’ she said.
‘Joe,’ he said, ‘and you are?’
‘Y/N,’ she said.
‘Am I off the hook yet?’ he asked.
‘Not a chance,’ she giggled.
As Y/N looked back on her memory she smirked. She had loved Joe from the moment the pair of them had met. She could never quite get over how a random wet autumn day could impact someone’s life so much. She and Joe had gone on a coffee date instead of her lecture. A proper date just two days later and were an item by the end of that month. He had proposed to her in just over a year of being a couple and they’d married a few years back. Eliza had blitzed into their lives not long after.
She was pulled back into reality as she heard her daughter squeal, ‘Mommy!’
Joe whipped around and smiled at her nervously. She didn’t know why, seeing them playing together had melted her heart.
‘Sorry babe,’ he said, ‘did we wake you?’
‘No,’ Y/N said, ‘I was already stirring.’
‘Eliza demanded we play tea party so,’ he said gesturing to the table in front of him which was laid out for tea with her stuffed animals. Y/N moved into the room and stood beside her husband who now seemed altogether too big for the chair he was sitting in, not that she had noticed before now.
‘Oh yeah I’m sure it was her who wanted it,’ Y/N jibed jutting her hip out so it nudged the back of him. Joe looked up at her with a smile as she added, ‘was it also her idea to get all of her toys out this early?’
‘What can I say? I’m a sucker for a pretty girl.’

Can I request a fluffy Joe Mazzello x fem. reader oneshot where Joe x reader are at his mother’s house for a family gathering and reader sees Joe being all cute and adorable with his nieces and nephews and it has reader excited for the surprise she has for Joe and when they get back to their house later that night, reader gives Joe a present and it’s a Yankee onesie that says Mazzello on the back and a sonagram picture and reader tells Joe he’s going to be a father?
A/N This is so cute omg. I feel like this is the perfect way to announce this kind of news to Joe. I also couldn't resist with the title.
Daddy Yankee
Masterlist
Joe Mazzello x fem! Reader
Warnings: Fluff. Pregnancy announcement.
"Leah! Ow that's my foot!" Joe cried out as his niece used him as her personal jungle gym.
Joe and his wife Y/n were currently at Mary's house for a family gathering and your nieces and nephews were no short of thrilled to see their favourite uncle. They'd jumped him almost the second the two of them walked through the door and had pulled him away to go kick a ball around with them.
Y/n loved watching her husband interact with the kids and it warmed her heart to know he would be such a great dad. That's right. She was expecting and planned to tell him that night. She couldn't stop looking at the sonogram she'd brought back home from an 'errand' trip she'd run earlier in the week. It sat in her bedside table drawer and when Joe wasn't there she'd pull it out and stare at their baby.
Y/n was pulled from her thoughts as she became aware of the unusual quietness coming from the living room. She walked in to find Joe sitting on the couch with the children surrounding him or snuggled into his sides, listening intently as he read them a storybook. Two of their nephews had buried themselves into his chest and were fast asleep, lulled to rest by his steady breathing.
As she stood in the doorway silently, the rest of the kids dropped off to sleep until noise was devoid from the room. Joe finally noticed her presence and she walked around to lean down and hug him from behind.
"You almost sent me to sleep my love. Think it's time for us to head home?" she whispered.
Joe smiled and nodded, shifting off of the couch carefully as so not to disturb the sleeping lions.
He popped his head 'round the kitchen door, where the rest of the family was gathered and let them know they were off and that their, "little Rugrats were out cold on the couch." The adults chuckled quietly and waved the couple off.
Tumblr media
Y/n stood at the bathroom sink, trying to calm her nerves. Joe noticed her quiet stance and walked in, wrapping his arms around her from behind and trailing gentle kisses down her neck.
"Are you okay darling?"
She turned around to face him and spoke,
"I have something to show you."
She led him into their bedroom and pulled a delicately wrapped box from the wardrobe shelf. She handed it to her husband wordlessly. He looked down at her worriedly but proceeded to set it on the bed and begin to unwrap it. He undid the ribbon and pulled off the paper before lifting the lid, his brow furrowing in confusion.
Inside there was a tiny Yankees onesie and he picked it up, realisation setting in. Turning it around he found 'Mazzello' embroidered on the back and he gasped. He looked at Y/n with wide eyes and found her holding a sonogram she'd pulled from the box. He took it from her and his eyes filled with tears.
"Are we really..?"
He trailed off, too excited to speak.
Y/n nodded.
"You're gonna be a daddy, baby."
Joe gazed at his wife, filled with so much love he though he would burst. Pulling her in for a searing kiss, hand placed on her stomach before pulling away and kneeling down until he was face to face with his unborn baby.
"Hey honey. I'm your dad. I don't know if you can hear me, I think I read somewhere that you can but anyway. Even if you can't I just wanna let you know that your mom and I can't wait to meet you. We can't wait to hold you and dress you up in cute little onesies and bunny rabbit boots. I'll teach you to play bass and take you to every Yankees game and your mom can teach you how to bake and play football. You're gonna be the best loved baby on planet Earth. Hell I love you so much already."
Joe leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on her stomach before standing up to kiss his wife.
"How are you feeling Daddy Yankee?"
"Like you're the most amazing woman I've ever met."

“Wow! Look at those ones, Jess!” Joe Mazzello said in aw, holding his one year old daughter, Jessie Virginia Mazzello in his arms. The toddler giggled and cooed, clapping and pointing up at the rollercoasters that rode up the tracks at a steep incline, then descended with the joyful yet terrified screams of the people riding it. You giggled lightly, standing next to your husband and daughter.
“I do think that one may be a little too big and scary for Jessie, though.” You said, smiling at Joe. Joe looked at you, smiling. He then nodded.
“Yeah, exactly what I was thinking,” he looked over at the one year old, who was currently sucking on her thumb, looking around in innocent curiosity. Joe smiled and kissed her head. “Don’t worry, Jessie. When you’re older, probably about, hmm, 13, maybe 14, I’ll bring you back here. Then you and I can ride that roller coaster together!” Joe said, blowing a raspberry on her cheek. Jessie squealed and laughed, pressing her hands against Joe’s cheeks.
“Da!” She shouted happily. Jessie was just barley learning to speak. Her first work, much to your disappoint, was Da-Da. She definitely was a daddy’s girl. You smiled at the interaction. You leaned over and pressed a kiss against full head of brown, shoulder length locks. Jessie turned in her dad’s arms and smiled at you. She pressed her tiny hand against your cheek. “Da-Da!” She shouted. You pouted, while Joe tried his best to stifle his laughter. You were still working on trying to get Jessie to say Mama. You pressed your hand gently over her’s.
“Ma-ma,” you said each syllable carefully, trying to get Jessie to catch on. Seriously! She even has nicknames for Ben, Rami, Lucy, and, thankfully not Gwilym, yet. You looked at your husband. “Well, until she reaches the age of 13 or 14, which hopefully won’t be for a while, I suggest we stick close to the child friendly rides.” You said. Joe smiled and pressed a gentle kiss to your head.
“I think that’s a wonderful idea, babe. What do you think, Jess? That sound good to you?” Joe asked. Jessie just started babbling nonsense and clapping her hands together, laughing. You chuckled and shrugged at your husband.
“I take that as a yes.” You said, causing the two of you to laugh.
~~~
You giggled and waved your hand at your husband and daughter, who were currently going round and around on the carousel. Joe and Jessie were sitting in one of the benches, in front of another young couple and their eleven year old. Joe was sitting close to Jessie, making sure the ride wasn’t too much for her. But Jessie was all smiles! Laughing and clapping her hands, watching as the horses, lions, and other creatures spun and went up and down around them. You took a few good photos of both Joe and Jessie looking at you and smiling. Until Jessie went back into her own little world, that is.
You smiled softly, thinking about the first time you met Joe.
~Flashback~
It was your Sophomore year of College. You were studying [C/C]. You walked into class, brushing your [h/l] [h/c] behind your ears, holding your required textbooks in your arms. You looked at the assigned seating posted on the whiteboard. You were to sit next to someone named Joe Mazzello. Interesting name. You couldn’t help but feel like you had heard it somewhere, like the name should be familiar to you somehow. You walked over to the third row from the floor seats, sitting in the middle. The seat next to you was surprisingly empty. Just as the final bell to get to class rang, a body rushed into the classroom just as Professor Callahan was about to start his lesson. He looked over his glasses at Joe with a disapproving look.
“Nearly late again, Mr. Mazzello.” Professor Callahan said. Joe was breathing heavily, a smile on his face.
“Nearly, Professor Callahan. But, I wasn’t late.” He said. Professor Callahan nodded, no amusement on his older face.
“Yes,” he said. He then pointed a ruler at you. “Your assigned seat for this year is in the third from the bottom, middle row. Right next to Miss. [L/N]. [L/N], please raise your hand!” Professor Callahan requested. You did as asked, raising your hand high in the air for Joe to see. Nodding, and smiling even more, Joe made his way over to the third row, sitting next down next to you. With everyone there, Professor Callahan began his lesson for the day. While taking notes, Joe glanced at you.
“Hi, I’m Joe, Joe Mazzello.” He whispered, holding out his hand. You set down your pencil and smiled at him, taking his hand and shaking it in greeting.
“Nice to meet you, Joe. I’m [Y/N], [Y/N] [L/N].” You whispered back, introducing yourself. Your eyes then widened as it dawned on you. This wasn’t any ordinary Joe Mazzello. This was the Joe Mazzello! The child actor from Jurassic Park! “Wait, y-you’re Joe Mazzello!” You whisper shouted. “The Joe Mazzello from the Jurassic Park movie!” You whispered again. Joe chuckled and nodded.
“The one and only,” He said, flashing you a kind smile. God. That smile. That was what had set it in stone. This was what Love at First Sight must be like.
~~~
“Hey, babe, you okay?”
You started a bit, being brought back from your trip down Memory Lane. You looked at Joe and Jessie, not realizing that the ride had ended already. You smiled at Joe and pressed a kiss to his lips. You pulled back, smiling.
“I’m just fine, Joe. I was just thinking back to when we first met. To when I realized that I had experienced Love at First Sight.” You said, smiling at Joe. Joe smiled sweetly at you, pressing a kiss to your head. Then, something amazing happened.
“M-Mama!” Jessie shouted. Joe pulled away from the kiss to your head in shock and happiness. Your mouth dropped in shock as well as happiness. You took your daughter from your husband’s arms, holding her gently yet close to you, smiling. Jessie giggled as you pressed kisses to her cheeks, her forehead and her cheeks again. You chuckled and held your daughter against your hip. You pumped your free hand into the air.
“Yes! Finally! Take that, Gwilym! He owes twenty bucks now!” You said cheekily. You and Gwilym had bet on which word Jessie would say first, a nickname for Gwilym, or Mama. And you had won the bet. Then, Jessie whined and made grabby hands at Joe. You sighed and rolled your eyes playfully, handing Jessie over to Joe. Jessie then yawned and rested her head against her dad’s shoulder, struggling to keep her eyes open. Joe chuckled and pressed a gentle kiss to Jessie’s head.
“I think that’s enough excitement for our little Jess for one day.” Joe said, holding out his hand to you. Just like that day in your college class, you took Joe’s hand without hesitation. Yes. That day had truly, been Love at First Sight.
~~~
//@borhapgirlforlife19 I really hope you like this one. I made it long on purpose as to, hopefully, make up for all the requests I missed. I really do hope you like it and please don’t be afraid to request more.//
I don't accept requests for long shots, but I can write a blurb!
Tumblr media
You weren't dreaming of sugarplums dancing in your head. No, you were dreaming about flying to Austria and landing on one of the snowy mountains there when you felt a little tug.
You blinked awake, still processing you were on the ground in your house and you saw the little face of your daughter looking up at you.
"Mommy, mommy!" she whispered excitedly.
You leaned over and saw that it was 7 in the morning.
"Wha...what is it?" you asked groggily.
"It's Christmas! It's Christmas! And there's presents! Santa came! Santa came here!" she cheered.
"Oh...yes...he did!" you agree with a sleepy smile.
She went over to the other side to Joe. He was laying on his stomach, his red hair a mess on top of the pillow.
"Daddy...Daddy wake up! It's Christmas! Santa got me presents!" she cheered.
There was a cartoonishly loud snore. You knew Joe did not snore like that when genuinely asleep but your daughter didn't. She giggled in response.
Looking closer, you realized how much she did look like Joe. She had his face shape, his eyes, his nose, and his mouth. Though her skin and hair looked like yours, her father's influence was just as present if you looked very carefully.
"Daddyyyyyyyyyyy, wake up! Wake up!" she said.
She leaned closer, took one grubby finger, and began to poke him.
In a second, Joe turned over with an "HRUAGGH!"
He grabbed the little girl who let out a delighted squeal and began to tickle her profusely in his embrace. She began laughing and laughing so hard, that even Joe was laughing. Even you.
"Dad-dyyyy, stop!" she asked, taking in exhales between laughing.
"What's that? Spot?! Like tickle spot?! I'll get it!" he cried, tickling her more.
She was kicking her legs in delight. Then finally, he stopped and all of you finished laughing, catching your breaths. She was so cute- so spunky in spite of her smallness. Her face is alight with the joy of both Christmas morning and her family. You never saw a child cuter than her and it made your heart melt.
"C'mon, nugget," you say to your girl, leaning her in for a hug and a kiss on her head.
"Can we open the presents?!?" she asked.
"Of course! Let's see what Santa got you!" Joe said.
With a cheer, she ran into the living room. As you both got out of bed and put robes over your pajamas from the chill, you kissed his cheek.
"Merry Christmas, Joe."
"Merry Christmas, Y/N."
You walked over there and made coffee, taking sips as the sun was rising. There were presents under the tree with still that fresh, papery scent of wrapping paper on them and the stockings were so full, they had to be taken off the mantle. Joe's, as a tribute, a little dinosaur on it. The tree was alight and the fireplace was started with a crackling fire. Your daughter was wiggling with excitement, ready to open gifts and see the things she wanted so much.
Everything could not be more perfect.
Ahhh mine too! And yes Rami did!!!! That was the best acting I have ever seen for a rock group let alone someone who needs the perfect person to portray him! Oh and while we are kinda on the topic, have you seen the movie The Dirt? It's of Mötley Crüe!
Yes😭😭 and from that movie, I fell in love with Gwilym Lee, Joe Mazzello, and Ben Hardy. (Side note: my ukulele is actually named after Gwilym and I call him Gwil). I just absolutely adore it! And the fact that they did fairly well at matching Freddie’s heritage is amazing. Like, Rami isn’t *perfect*, but he’s Egyptian-American (born in America) and has a very similar skin tone and look to Freddie.
I have not seen that movie, actually! My dad tried to get me into Quadrophenia, which is about The Doors, but I’m not that into it😕😕
Also, another side note, sorry about my original list being all white/light skinned guys. A lot of the guys I like happen to be white/light skinned and I didn’t even realize
The Day My Life Changed Joe Mazzello x Reader
(In honor of Valentine’s Day, I thought I would finally try and write a Joe Mazzello fic. Hope you enjoy!)
Description: Reader comes home from work and finds Joe and their daughter in their daughter’s room and Joe is just being the cutest with his daughter. As reader is watching Joe interact with their daughter, reader reminisces on the day her and Joe met. (Y/N= your name)
I pull my car into the driveway of my house and get out of the car. Walking up to the front door and unlocking it with my keys, I slowly walk into my home. Work was exhausting, but coming home to Joe and my daughter is worth it.
The living room is deserted which means that Joe must be upstairs with our daughter. I walk upstairs and hear laughter coming from my daughter’s room.
Slowly opening the door a little, my heart melts at the sight before me. Our daughter is laying down in her bed attentively listening to Joe as he reads her a bedtime story.
“The prince kissed the princess and they got married and lived happily ever after!”
“Just like you and mommy!”
“Yes princess, just like me and mommy!”
Seeing the two of them together, I couldn’t help but think to myself how lucky I am! I had a wonderful, sweet, funny, caring husband and the most adorable little girl. I remembered the day Joe and I first met.
Flashback:
It was my first day working on the set of Bohemian Rhapsody and I had just gotten a coffee because it was very early in the morning and I needed the caffeine to help me stay awake for the long work day ahead.
Being the clumsy person I am, I wasn’t watching where I was going and bumped into someone and spilled my coffee all over them.
“Oh my gosh, I’m so sorry!”
“Don’t worry about it!”
That’s when I looked up and my eyes met a pair of the warmest color of hazel eyes I had ever seen! I immediately thought he was extremely cute! I was at a loss for words!
To break the awkward silence, the man stuck out his hand for me to shake. “I’m Joe”. I took his hand and told him my name. “Y/N”.
“Y/N. That’s a pretty name”. I immediately blushed and looked down nervously so he wouldn’t see me blushing.
“So Joe, as in Joe Mazzello? The Joe Mazzello who is playing John Deacon?”
“The one and only”. We talked for a couple more minutes and I found him to be very charming and funny. His jokes had me laughing like no one else had before! Sadly, my boss called me so I had to get to work. Before I went, he asked for my number and he gave his to me as well.
After that moment, the rest was history. Joe and I went on our first date shortly after that and spent every waking moment we could together. On our two year anniversary, he asked me to marry him and of course I said yes! Not long after we were married, I found out I was pregnant. Joe was ecstatic when I told him and we were so excited to become parents! When our daughter was born, it was the happiest day of our lives! She looked just like Joe. Seeing Joe hold our daughter for the first time made me fall in love with the man all over gain!
Flashback Ends
Back to reality, I watch as Joe kisses our daughter goodnight and tells her he loves her and I stick my head out of the door as I see Joe coming to the door. He quietly shuts our daughter’s door, and I wrap my arms around his waist. He jumps slightly but when he turns around and sees it’s me, he relaxes.
“Hey babe, I didn’t hear you come in!” He gives me a loving kiss.
“Sorry I scared you, but I came up here and saw you being the most adorable dad ever to our daughter and I just couldn’t help but watch you two together and I didn’t want to interrupt.”
“That’s okay honey. Do you want to go downstairs and watch a movie?”
“That sound great!”
Joe and I go to the living room and pick Bohemian Rhapsody to watch. I can’t resist watching movies with Joe in it! After he puts the movie on, he settles down next to me on the couch and he wraps his arm around my shoulder while I wrap my arms around him and rest my head on his chest. Halfway through the movie, I speak up.
“Joe, I think this is my favorite movie of all time! If it wasn’t for this movie, me and you would have probably never met, gotten to fall in love, get married, and have our beautiful daughter. I know the way we met may have not been the most romantic, with me spilling my coffee all over you, but I wouldn’t change anything for the world. I love you so much Joey!”
“Awww, I love you too Y/N, and I love our daughter and this beautiful life we have built together!” We kissed and we pulled apart a couple of seconds later and continued to watch the movie. Snuggled up in his arms, I looked up at Joe while his gaze remained on the TV thinking about how I had managed to get such a handsome and kindhearted man like him. My life truly changed for the better the day I met Joe and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
Pretty | Joe Mazzello
Summary: You finally visit Joe on set with your daughter.
Warnings: A poorly written toddler (let’s just say she’s shy I’m soory)
Requested: Yep by @borhapgirlforlife19
Word Count: 1000
A/N: I haven’t written for these guys in ages I missed them but anyways enjoy hope you like this.
Visiting Joe on set was a common thing in your relationship from the moment you both knew it was serious. You loved seeing him work and he loved having you around in between takes or during his breaks, it became such a special thing in your relationship that he proposed on one of your visits. He was lucky enough to be shooting on location that day, a beach to be exact, it was also a night shoot, and he took the opportunity during the first break. It wasn’t elaborate at all, but you didn’t see it coming and were genuinely surprised and, in your eyes, it was the perfect proposal.
However, once you had a baby you knew you had to stop visiting on set as often as you did, he always insisted that your daughter could go and be on set with him that you could stay at his trailer while he was busy, you on the other side didn’t feel comfortable with having your baby in an unknown environment surrounded by strangers, it would overwhelm her and you knew that a quiet set and colicky fussy baby wasn’t a good combination.
“Just let her grow up a bit” you told him “I promise you that once I feel sure enough that she won’t be a bother for the crew we’ll be there.”
“Fine” he huffed holding the six-month-old baby close to his chest.
Joe was about to start a new production, the first one since he took a break during your pregnancy and first few months of Grace’s life. He didn’t want to leave both of you he wasn’t ready but how could he ever be ready to leave his little family?
Time passed and your beautiful baby girl was now three, almost four, years old and she hadn’t seen her dad at work not once due to the agreement you had with Joe. From day one he was more than ready to have Grace on set with him, but he also knew that you had to be same page as him and, so far, you hadn’t changed your mind.
“Okay I gotta go” he said taking one last bite to his breakfast. He had been casted as John Deacon on the Queen biopic, and you had come with him this time before Grace started preschool.
He kissed you goodbye and kissed his daughter’s head quickly “Bye princess.”
“Bye daddy!” she replied with a giggle.
An idea crossed your mind, Grace was old enough to understand what being quiet meant and most of the time she was a well-behaved toddler. Yes, she threw tantrums, was an energetic ball hard and it was sometimes hard to keep up with her, but she wasn’t anything you couldn’t control if the situation needed it plus the most stressful shot of the whole movie had already been done so you wouldn’t be making Joe even more nervous.
“You wanna go see daddy?” you asked her with a smile. Her eyes lit up so quickly and she nodded.
You cleaned up the kitchen and got Grace ready to go. You took one of those set passes that Joe always get you and drove to where they would be shooting.
“Okay baby we have to be really quiet” you told her in a whisper “we want to keep this a surprise, okay?”
“Quiet” she giggled in the same tone as you with her index finger on her mouth.
They were shooting the first concert they ever had with Freddie as a front man and Deaky as bass player. It was a closed set so you couldn’t go in while the neon sign outside said that they were filming.
“And cut!” the director yelled “take a break everybody, I’ll let you know if need another shot.”
On your side the neon sign went off so it meant that you could go inside with your little girl in your arms.
“Do you see who’s there?” you asked Grace putting her down.
“Daddy!” she giggled running to him. Even with a long wig and 70’s clothing she recognized him. He was a daddy’s girl after all.
“Grace!” Joe exclaimed completely ignoring Ben, who was a having a conversation with him, he quickly picked her daughter up. “What are you doing here? Where’s your momma?”
“I thought she was old enough to visit you” you answered walking up to him.
“So, we finally get to meet little Mazzello today?” the blonde man asked. The whole cast had met you but not Grace though they had seen plenty of photos thanks to Joe.
“I-yeah I mean I guess” Joe was still processing the surprise. This is all he ever wanted a ’bring your child to work’ day “this is Grace”.
“Uncle Rami!” she exclaimed once he saw him.
“Want to stay with Uncle Rami?” Joe asked her to which she agreed.
Joe gave Grace to Rami and let him introduce her to Ben and Gwilym while he talked to you.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were coming?” he asked.
“If I had, then you wouldn’t be surprised” you smiled.
“Believe me I’m shocked” he sighed not trying to hide his smile “what made you change your mind?”
“I just thought why not” you shrugged “you’ve wanted her on a set with you for such a long time.”
“I think she likes it here” you said when you saw her play with Joe’s costars.
“Yeah” he smiled “after this scene I have an actual break so we can spend time in my trailer yeah?”
You nodded everyone seemed to be going back to their places, so you had to go fetch Grace.
“Sorry gentlemen but I think we’re not needed here” you said picking up your girl from Ben’s arms.
“Pretty” she squealed out of nowhere. You weren’t sure if it meant Ben or the wigs they were wearing.
“You think I’m pretty?” Ben spoke and she nodded making Joe eyes wide. Ben wouldn’t let Joe forget this one.
(Fluff)
Summary: Joe takes your daughter out grocery shopping when she doesn’t want him to leave without her
(I hope you enjoy:))
•It was around 2:30 in the afternoon and you had a list of things you had to get for the house because you ran out of them. You were already exhausted, you have a 4 year old daughter who is always full with energy, your husband Joe was busy , so you were kind of left to do most stuff by yourself but Joe tried his best to help you in anyway possible and you were always thankful for that . You were grabbing your bag and put on your shoes going upstairs to tell Joe that you were about to head out to go get some stuff from the grocery store. He was on his laptop probably responding too some emails he got but you weren’t too sure. You walked her and sat next to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
“I'm going to the store ill be back and Lilly is in her room playing”you said while sounding exhausted
Joe looked at you and he felt bad about you still going to do things, he knew you were stubborn so it would be hard for him to convince you to stay home but his being the husband that he is, he was going to do it for you. Wether you liked it or not he wasn't changing his mind.
‘how about I do it for’ he said with a smile on his face, he took his hand in yours and kissed you. Part of you wanted to tell him that it was alright and that you would do It but then again you needed the rest .
‘you would really do that, I mean if your busy I don't wanna be a bother too you’ you looked at him with a small tired smile.
“you have done enough love don't worry about it, and I already know where you put the list so you have nothing else to worry about other than too go rest “
He got up and went to go get his sweater since it was fall and it tends to get really chilly . You went to you and Joe’s shared bedroom and changed into9 some more comfy clothes, sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt. You then went to check on your daughter to make sure she was okay. When you got into her room you saw that she was playing with some dolls and stuff animals that were spreader out on the floor . You picked her up from behind and tickled her a little bit allowing small and happy giggles to come out of her mouth. When you sat her down on her bad she looked around the room.
‘Where's daddy mommy ‘? you couldn't help but smile at what she said because she looked super cute saying it
“Daddy's about to go to the store in a while, do you wanna go say bye” you said fixing her hair. Next thing you now your daughter is running downstairs to go find  her dad, you were right behind her mostly because you didn't want anything to happen to her while she was going down the stairs. She was saying “daddy” over and over again trying to look for him. When she found him he was about to head out the front door. He turned around and looked at her and she put her arms out running towards him and he picked her up. Joe looked at you and smiled causing you too smile back at him.
“Daddy I don't want you too leave” she said while pouting and putting her face in his neck. “I'm just going to the store love, I will come back im not leaving.” That’s not what she wanted to hear and she started crying. You were confused because she never acted like this went he went out.
“ How about you go with daddy will that be fun princess.” you said hoping that will make the poor girl feel better, Joe wiped away her tears and kissed her forehead. Her mood instantly changed and she was eager to get dressed.
“ I get to go the store with daddy”
she went upstairs to go get dressed and choose what she wanted to wear.
Joe came over too you and stood next too you while putting an arm around your waist “She’s too cute y/n”
“Well who is her father” you said sarcastically while laughing”
‘But I thought you and I were going to go?’ Joe said with a pout. Y/N had just hit him with the news that despite it being his birthday she was ducking out their plans. She had bought them tickets to the Yankee game and then booked a table for dinner afterwards. Yet, when the day came she couldn’t go. She had woke this morning incredibly nauseous and covered in sweat. She thought she knew why, in fact, she had thought she knew why for a few weeks but she had been too scared to take the test. She didn’t want to let Joe down, but she also didn’t want to get him excited if it was nothing. And a home pregnancy test wasn’t always certain, which is why she had rung her gynaecologist first thing this morning when she had woken feeling so crappy.
Her gynacologist had made her an emergency appointment but had told her she had to come in today. Or it would be another three weeks before she could squeeze her in. Y/N couldn’t hang on any longer and as soon as she had gotten off the phone with her doctor had rung for backups for Joe’s birthday plans.
‘I was, we were going to go but somethings come up at work,’ she lied.
‘Can’t someone else take care of it? I mean it’s a Saturday,’ he said.
‘If there was anyone else I swear I would make them but I can’t,’ she said as there was a knock on the door, ‘besides I’ve made other arrangements for you.’
‘It’s not your dad is it?’ Joe said with another pout.
‘No,’ Y/N chastised as she headed to the door.
‘Because I love the guy but I can’t go to a Yankees game with a Dodgers fan, bleurgh,’ he said following her to the door.
‘It’s not my dad. And I think you’re going to be in the minority at Dodger Stadium there Mazzello,’ she said as she yanked the door open to reveal a handsome blonde man standing there.
‘Ben?!’ Joe said with excitement as he moved past his girlfriend and engulfed his friend in a hug.
‘Hey mate,’ the other man said hugging his friend back.
‘What are you doing here?’ Joe said.
‘Well I was in town for your party tomorrow and Y/N told me you needed a babysitter so I thought to hell with jet lag eh?’
‘Gee I’m touched,’ Joe chuckled. The two started talking but Y/N started to panic. She could feel another round of nausea coming on. And she had managed to hide it this morning but she feared if they hung around much longer her cover would be blown.
‘Right you better get a move on,’ she said.
‘What’s the rush?’ Joe said, ‘Ben’s just got here.’                                                                                                                    ‘I know but there’s all that traffic on the freeway. You don’t want to miss anything,’ she rambled grabbing his wallet and keys off of the sideboard. They were barely out of the house before she was launching herself upstairs to the bathroom.
After that, it took her a good while to recover enough that she felt she could drive to the doctor. But soon enough she was laying on her doctor's table with jelly being rubbed across her belly as the sonographer ran the wand across. Her doctor had already made her do a urine test which had confirmed her suspicions. She was knocked up. But since they had the technology on hand and given how long Y/N had suspected her doctor had insisted they do a sonogram to confirm just how far along she was. Suddenly, a whirring thumping noise rang in her ears.
‘That’s baby's heartbeat. It’s good. Strong,’ the doctor said as Y/N turned to look at the screen which she was moving towards her, ‘and that is your baby. 11 weeks approximately.’
‘That’s it?’ Y/N said feeling tears sting her eyes.
‘I know. It's not always what you expect-’
‘No, no,’ she said, ‘it’s…well, I don’t know what it is.’
‘Don’t worry. You’re not the first woman to be a little confused about everything. I’ll give you a minute to think and get yourself cleaned up. I’ll get the nurse to do a few health checks, take some history and give you some pamphlets. I’ll write you up for a prescription for prenatal vitamins and leave it at the front desk, okay?’
Y/N didn’t have much time to respond as the doctor was already snapping off her gloves and washing her hands by the end of the sentence. And then she was gone. Leaving Y/N alone with her thoughts.
She was pregnant.
She was going to have a baby.
With Joe.
She didn’t know what to feel. Happy? Conflicted? Scared?
She loved Joe. She knew she wanted babies with him it was just that now seemed too soon. She was still in this fog when she left the doctor's office, so much so that she decided to go for a walk instead of heading back to her car. She walked until she was too hot and sweaty to continue but instead of turning back she ducked inside a store hoping that they would have someplace to sit down. It was a clothing store which she rejoiced at as she headed to the shoe section which had benches to sit down on.
She sat there for a while. Thinking about the little human that was growing inside of her. She was still conflicted. Unsure of what she wanted when she heard someone cough next to her. She found a man standing beside her with a pair of shoes in hand waiting to sit down but she was taking up all of the room.
‘Sorry,’ she mumbled as she got up and walked away wondering through the aisles mindlessly before she realised she was in the baby section. In front of her, she found a little onesie styled like a Dodger’s baseball uniform. She chuckled, ‘your daddy would hate that.’
She stopped.
She was talking to the baby.
Her baby.
She was going to be a mom. Joe was going to be a dad.
Why had she been worrying? Even if she wasn’t ready. Joe was. He had always wanted kids and that feeling had only gotten worse after his dad had died. He was ready enough for both of them. Even if it was sooner than she anticipated.
Y/N was in the lounge when she heard movement at the front door. She had been laying on the couch. Today had been long and rough. She’d been through a whirlwind of emotions, had barely eaten and vomited more times than she could count. Still, she pushed herself up into a sitting position excited to see how Joe’s day had gone.
He came in cheery as ever and came to sit next to her slinging his arm around her and pressing her kiss into her temple.
‘Good time?’ she chuckled.
‘Yep,’ Joe beamed.
‘Drunk?’ she said trying to fight the nausea that rumbled in her at the whiff of beer.
‘Buzzed,’ he corrected.
‘Did you and Ben enjoy the game?’ she asked and without warning, Joe burst into a full in depth explanation about the game, the car ride and the meal they had shared. All of which she had missed out on.
‘I’m glad you had fun,’ she said.
‘What about you?’ he sighed, ‘how was work?’
‘Fine,’ she lied, ‘actually, I managed to finish a little earlier than I thought and I went shopping.’
‘Oh yeah?’ he said.
‘Yeah, I even got you a little something,’ Y/N said leaning over to grab the small gift bag that she had slotted underneath the coffee table previously.
‘Ooh, another present,’ he said grabbing it off her somewhat heavy-handedly in his drunken state and tearing the top of it open.
He pulled the contents out unwrapping the small white garment from its tissue wrapping.
‘I think this is a little small for me babe,’ he chuckled.
‘That’s because it’s not for you,’ Y/N said. Joe frowned, confused. Y/N rolled her eyes and reached into the bag bringing out a small piece of paper.
‘I don’t,’ Joe started, ‘I mean is this?’
‘I didn’t go to work today,’ Y/N said.
‘You didn’t?’ he said still trying to piece together what was happening in his drunken state.
‘No, I went to the doctor,’ she said, ‘and-’
‘You’re pregnant?’ he whispered. Y/N nodded.
Before she could say anything Joe leapt towards her throwing his arms around her and kissing her profusely. They collided and fell back against the couch.
‘Joe,’ she giggled, ‘can’t breathe.’
‘Sorry,’ he chuckled pulling back, ‘I can’t believe it.’
‘Me either,’ she smiled. Joe started babbling once more, leaning his head down on her chest as he unleashed his excitement upon her. Y/N felt more content than she had all day. Curled up on the couch with Joe by her side she wondered why she had ever doubted them.
Joe was going to be a fantastic Dad.
Well, as long as the baby supported the Yankees
