Finally we could go to DCC again. We decided to do an original cosplay.
Inspired by the game Cyberpunk, we made our own costume versions.
To be honest, I didn’t have time to make anything new, so I threw some things together that I already owned. My robotarm from my Dorgmal snow Kiva Cosplay. Unfortunatelly it is yellow, cause pink would have suited this outfit much better, but I didn’t want to f*ck up the design. The rest came from earlier outfits that I made. And it was a very cold day, so I improvised something on my belly to make it a bit warmer.
Linda Mechanika went for a black and orange aesthetic with lots of EL lighting in her costume. We both mixed it up with our wasteland aesthetic, to make the whole thing a bit more grimmy.
The event itself was big, so big we got lost sometimes :’) And there were a lot of the same kind of vendors. And also a lot of the same cosplayers, we counted 9 jinxes already at the entrance hall. It quickly became very boring, not sure we will attend next year. It was just to much of the same.
When I hung my own artwork on the wall, that moment was pure emotion. At the same time,a thought echoed in my mind:Even if AI drawing technology becomes more advanced and can create better art than me, it can never stop the passion I feel to pick up a pen and draw, and the satisfaction that the process of drawing brings, along with a sense of accomplishment.
There's something deeply satisfying about the process of drawing.
Getting back into the flow of things. I wanted to try a new shading style using only 1 colour to shade. Heres my Rebecca picture, I really like her design and Edgerunners is really pretty #cyberpunkedgerunner
