Dazai, in Fifteen, described the act of living as "we breathe, eat, fall in love and die". Through that statement and a few subsequent incidents, like telling Oda planning someone's death was romantic, flirting with nearly every girl he sees, and his fixation with finding someone to commit a lover's suicide with, we can conclude Dazai is a deeply romantic man. I was rewatching the first season of Bungou Stray Dogs with a friend when I noticed something about Dazai from episode 1.

We all know that Dazai isn't really a fighter, but when he's getting chased by Atsushi in his tiger form...

skk au where they actually develop telepathy but it happens after Dazai leaves and during the four years they don't see each other. Chuuya is washing dishes one night and Dazai's voice pops up in his head. "I wonder what the slug is doing right now? Judging by the time maybe he's washing dishes." I think it's cute that Chuuya only chokes Dazai by digging his fingers into Dazai's carotid arteries, since that's generally considered "safer" (insofar as any strangulation can be safe) than applying pressure to the trachea, which risks crushing it.

(In 55 Minutes, Atsushi similarly chokes someone via their carotid arteries to knock them unconscious without damaging their throat— so we can assume it's intentional here too. Asagiri clearly knows the difference.)

its kinda funny how despite all the speculation and worries about fyodor, my main takeaway from chapter 114 is that soukoku is even cuter than i originally thought, and that's saying something because I already found them to be absolutely adorable instead of the angsty type

dazai being comfy around chuuya and using him as a sounding board for ideas and chuuya subtly trying to make dazai calm down because dazai worrying is making him worry too

its just really nice to see more about how they act around each other, ya know?
