Undercrystal is an Undertale AU and a prequel of Crystaltale ( @crystaltale-official ). The story before Crystaltale happened, one of many believed of its origin! It will focus on each of the fallen human origins with Frisk as the main focus. It all started from a simple contract for happiness after many pacifist timelines. Frisk was not satisfied and they tried the genocide route but forfeited before killing Asgore, seeing Chara corrupted. Now, he was desperate to seek that true happiness.

Shatter Chapter 8: He Shatters

The eight and final chapter to my first multichaptered ffxiv fanfic.

Excerpt from chapter:

He looks to it in the distance, the crystalline blue spire as radiant as always as it pierces the very heavens. Today marks a new beginning, but also an end. An end to the chapter of the eternal legacy of Allag. The doors will close, and the Tower will resume its slumber, its secrets kept safe from those who would use its ingenuity for their own nefarious ends, and at the end of it all he will walk away with its master at his side.

The Warrior of Light and the last son of Allag. There is something strangely poetic to it he thinks, and fittingly so. He likes it.

A fond look on his face he continues enjoying his food. He has scarcely finished off the last bite and put his plate aside when a bedraggled-looking researcher comes storming into the camp. Already his arrival and the tension in the air his presence brings has Y'sato's hairs standing on end, his tail fluffing up. Something is wrong. Very wrong.

He can feel it in his Echo, the sensation akin to the tense twinge of a taut, drawn bowstring he does not at all like.

"What's the matter? Please speak to us!" Rammboes demands, already risen to his feet.

"It's G'raha, sir! He all but demanded us to not enter the Tower to resume our work. I think he means to seal it, and that right now."

Overall Story Summary:

Their shared hardships was the spark that forged their friendship. A true bond formed, a true connection. One Y'sato thought would last for life only for fate to tear them apart...

It is more than Y'sato's heart can bear.

He shatters.

“We seem in a pickle here right now. We don’t know our past nor what we are but pieces of it are still part of us. Like a glass holding on when it was shattered.”

The world of Crystalrune didn’t exist until a man and a child wanted to create a world for them to live in. They were “left” here for no specified reason. This place is called The Depths. A place where all matter that’s dead, forgotten nor deemed as a mistake fated to rot here. Spirits will die of exhaustion trying to cling onto life, things will be swallowed by the place itself as time goes on and they have no function to serve whatsoever. As long as you have the will to live and have a purpose or function in life, you will stay in this place. No need for food, drink nor magic to survive but the loneliness of the deep dark will soon crawl onto you. Will you survive in this place on your own?

Where were we again? Ah yes, the child and the man. They made a deal with each other to accommodate each other’s loss. One lost their children and one lost their servants. They made a seal where they could not betray each other and will share joy and pain together. Like father and son, like master and servant. Those seals are represented by a gear pattern circling their neck. However, this seal only works on what they agree upon with the intention in mind. Words may express your intention but are those words true?

They play along with their deal, taking the role as a father and a servant, then a child and a master until the day something will change their fate. When that comes, they will create the ideal world they want to live in.
