it had been a few weeks since it happened. he knew it had happened but he couldn’t even admit it to himself that he’d been manipulated, tricked. he’d spent so many years with just himself and of course the second he met someone, the second he let someone in, he was betrayed. he’d let the fjerdan, saint djel, in and fell for him, like an idiot. he shouldn’t have gone to begin with, he should never had left that little camp of his, that precious dog he’d found one day and he never managed to shake him off. daisy was all alone. he’d left him behind with the thought that he’d be right back.

he’d flinched when he heard a man’s voice near him, he was currently trying to tie a rope in order to tie up whatever he’d found of his belongings after the months of him being gone. the only thing left behind of daisy was the collar he’d made for him, but he’d assumed someone had found him and brought him home. he’d hoped.

“sorry?”

the rope kept falling from his hands, he couldn’t hold them long enough in order to tie them up right. he was a ghost. he wasn’t alive any longer and he was going to have to live. . . die? he didn’t know anymore, time didn’t exist for him anymore but he couldn’t help it. his laugh was suddenly halted, he burned at a stake they’d blessed especially for him. by their saint. by his love.

the man in front of him was older than him, he’d say. quite tall with handsome features. he seemed to have power about him that felt daunting, fearful almost but what had adam to fear? he was already dead.

congrats netflix for giving another reason for audiences to never become invested in their shows bc we know they'll 100% get cancelled before being finished.

cancelling good shows is now netflix's model. the writers saw this coming (throwing so much of kaz's backstory into S2, completely dropping slow burn wylan/jesper, etc) - and the show suffered for it!

im glad to have gotten my scraps even though i didn't love how rushed it was. what i really hate is that rushing it WAS ACTUALLY THE RIGHT CALL by the writers bc netflix did fucking cancel it!

tv is a fantastic storytelling medium but netflix has really butchered it and is starting to dance on its grave. we've already seen the effects of the SoB writers suspecting that netflix will cancel them - that's only going to become an even bigger fear impacting the work of writers. why bother setting up plotlines that will take several seasons to resolve when you know you'll get cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons?

sometimes cancelling something is the right call (e.g. dont think any1 cried over the 2nd half of the last Divergent movie being cancelled). sometimes a show genuinely sucks & doesnt have an audience.

but that WAS NOT THE CASE here. it's such a fucking joke. when will streaming services learn to respect the books that they're adapting and the hard work that cast, crew, writers, producers, etc put in to the adaptation? you'd think they'd have learnt after seeing HBO's dumpster fire with the end of Game of Thrones...

but nah. they're just gonna continue buying incredible IPs & obliterating them for some quick attention & subscribers. fantastic.

Hii! I am currently searching for some new rp partners! I am semi lit-lit and craving a good Wesper rp. After seeing the show I am currently reading six of crows, though I am aware of pretty mucch all wesper storylines in the books ongoing :))

As of plots, there are a few I have:

1. End of s2 and just continue from there

2. [If you read the books] Kuwei storyline but after the show, so some jealous Wylan

3. [If you read the books] Add in Wylan's backstory, we could have his father either work with Rollins against the crows or give them their new job (then if we'd go after the show we could have more drama since yk 'no more secrets' but Wylan pretty much kept his whole life a secret from Jesper?)

4. Start from the start of s2 and add in our own stuff

5. What if aftrer their first meeting Wylan would not have left Jesper in the morning? What if Jesper had returned another day to see Wylan again at the tannery?
