Without humanity to reign, this Earth is ruled by animals alone. From the beginning of this planet animals began to evolve, some evolving faster than others. Many species decided to stay where they were only developing based on their environment while others began to build civilization, create technology, and slowly over time create a truly inhabitable planet.

A professor by the name of Marin Kelp created what is known as the A.S.A. —

The Animal Salvation Association.

An international organization that ensures the safety of every animal on Earth. And from this collective, branches were formed . . .

Safari Solutions - Nicknamed: The S.S. Jade

R.S.R. - Ranger Search and Recovery

S.O.S. - Safegaurding Our Society

Together these branches protect the world and anything that might harm it, hoping one day to create a peaceful planet with no war and no pollution. A place where everyone can be equal.

Of course not everyone wishes to be subjected to such a cause. Some believe that it is oppressive, and would rather cause harm than be safe from it.

So, many companies have begun to fight against the A.S.A., carrying on through secret gatherings and creating organizations. From there, gangs began to appear as well as Bounty Hunter administrations.

It’s now more important than ever that the branches of the A.S.A. protect not only the world’s animal populations and the environment, but themselves as well.

Summary:

Amy Rose is the famous author of "Whispers of Solaris" a popular fantasy book series. After her face reveal turns her from an unknown teenage author to an A-list celebrity in an affair known as "Rosemania" Her reputation must remain pristine and unassuming to protect herself from her antagonistic fanbase. But as she tries to move past her roots, they only anchor her deeper into the ground as her fans and agent demand her to continue writing "Whispers of Solaris." Her only escape is writing via her covert pen name, Athena Martel, as whom she is renowned for her steamy romance novels.

Shadow the Hedgehog is a local bookshop barista looking for a new job after being fired from his mysterious old position. He's a diehard fan of Amy's new novels but somehow knows nothing of "Whispers of Solaris" or even Rose herself. But, he is nothing short of devoted and terrified to meet the author of his favorite novel. After the two lock eyes at a book signing and are immediately hooked by each other's presence, Shadow is encouraged by his best friend Rouge, an Athena Martel fan, to unearth the many names of Amy Rose.

Hia! I love your AU you made! I wanted to draw some fanart but I'm not good at wings. Any tips as to how you draw your wings so amazingly?

I will probably do a longer tutorial later if people want me to, but here’s the quick version!

Use lots of references! Each type of bird has unique wings and it’s fun to play around with shapes and sizes! You can also see how the wings are devided into different parts (like the primaries, secondaries, coverts etc.) I used this swallow’s wing as a reference for this one.

Start out with really simple shapes! Nothing too detailed, just so you know where each part of the wing is.

Time to add the feathers! Don’t be afraid to use irregular shapes. I like to make the wings fluffy! Also important note is that the feathers cross over each other a bit!

And now color and shading! This one is pretty self explanatory! I like to add more layers of feathers with the shading, even though it’s not showed in the lineart.

Now the last thing is to color the lineart and you’re done! I hope that helped at least a bit, i’m not the best at explaining things haha.

HAHAHA omg and Rita Skeeter writes this exposé article about how The Chosen One and his Death Eater boyfriend have had a years-long secret passion for ice skating that got them both through the war, as evidenced by the fact that they were spotted last week kissing in between practicing quadruple axels on the frozen Great Lake.

And Ron literally has to go to the Hospital Wing because he laughs so much he pulls something. And literally none of their friends don’t find the situation absolutely hilarious.

And Harry and Draco end up having to hang out with each other if they want to grumble about all the rumors and how utterly ridiculous everyone is. And one day they decide that clearly they need to get drunk to forget about it all.

And after much alcohol and many covert glances, Harry’s like “but what if we were boyfriends?”

And Draco says “well I guess we would... kiss... or something”

“Like this?” Harry would reply.

And they would spend the rest of the night kissing in between, er, doing some horizontal quadruple axels, if you catch my drift.

And the rest is history and they loathe every second of having proved Rita Skeeter right on any count, but not enough to stop them kissing by the frozen Great Lake while they sit together watching Viktor and Yuri practice :)

Huh, you talked about the Nier: Automata fusion before (and it was great), but I don't recall the Evangelion one. Details, please, if you want to share and have the time, of course? If Rhea is Gendi is Byleth Shinji or Rei? XD Who are all the others, do we choose based on personality, role or both? I'm very interested!

This was more of a vague thought since there was already corresponding fanart.

Clearly there would be multiple ways to do that - Do you make Byleth basically Misato, or one of the pilots? The plot doesn’t work if the one in Misato’s role were too competent also shipping’s out the window if you age them up too much. (Imma go with fem Byleth just to 50/50 it out) It makes a lot of sense to make the church staff NERV, perhaps Hanneman and Manuela as Ritsuko and Misato? Fits naturally enough.

I don’t think I’d age everyone down but instead change the setting’s rules maybe tie it into some analogy with the crests etc. Just make the cover op an uni or military academy rather than a middle school, put the second-impact esque calamity further back.

Rhea!Gendo is pretty self-explanatory, she wants to revive someone whom she’s made an artificial duplicate of, she leads the protag’s organization but is secretly shady, she’s in conflict with another, even worse group of antagonists (SEELE would be the Agarthans) and she’s a bad quasi-parental figure who wants to use the protags for nefarious ends. Her outward leadership style is of course very different than Gendo’s, but that’s where the fun might be. I think that though he has no compunctions about using them and can barely be considered a parent in more than the genetic sense, Gendo still has a token level of care about Shinji and Rei, whereas Rhea kind of flat out admits that she was gleefully hoping for Byleth to be meat-puppeted though on a personal level she’s worse, though on a big-picture level, Gendo’s the one who wanted to destroy the whole world so he wins that one.

Byleth as Rei is already not soo far from what you typically get in “Byleth is raised by the Church” AUs, though in that level you’d lose her being drawn into a story as an outsider in part because they protected someone, which is rather Shinji’s role.

I saw one fanart with a clear Dimileth slant that had Byleth as Rei and Dimitri as Shinji, with Edelgard as Asuka.

Shinji!Dimitri is certainly a freeby. Cute, sensitive troubled, yet flawed protag driven to desperation by a harsh, unfair world? He’s even got his own three stooges! Or four stooges, as it were, but Sylvain Ingrid and Felix as Kensuke Hikari and Touji would be highly amusing. Instead of military nerdery, it’s skirt-chasing that gets Sylvain in trouble XD

Edelgard!Asuka, however... You’d conserve the hatecrush rivalry dynamic but it also feels like a shallowtake like “ooh she’s bossy, mean and ambitious, no former discernment necessary”. There’s a big difference between “Gotta prove im the best” ambition and “Big plan” ambition. Asuka’s ambition is something rather more immature, but then again she IS a great deal younger. 18 year old Asuka might be significantly different. There’s really no good Asuka candidate here. She’d be what you get if you mashed Felix and Ferdinand together, maybe. Or Lysithea. Lysithea would actually be pretty close when you think of it.

On the other hand I would pay good money to watch Dimitri and Edelgard in the Episode 9 setup with the double angel. Dance like you want to win! That opportunity should not be missed.

But then what’d we do with Edelgard? One possibility is Kaworu (for the parallelism - esp if we go with Byleth is Rei and the “already knowing stuff/ appearing as a potential antagonist but not ultimately evil“, and being nominally allies with the second faction of bad guys) - but we can’t just have her stroll in right before the end.

What about claude you ask? Claude is defs Mari. Loud yet standoffish, ultimately very heroic but also eccentric, knows and investigates a lots of secrets. Yes Im one of those people who actually likes Mari. Go on and shoot me. XD Plus Claude would totally hijack a mecha or make a covert entry in a parachute. In Q she’s even a ranged fighter.

Though if you wanted Byleth as Misato and the Lords as the main pilot trio, he might also be Asuka-material, as the token foreigner and the “normal human with somewhat less connection to the conspiracy”?

Ultimately you’d probably have to give up on a one-on-one correspondence, but I would definitely want the four MCs as the main EVa pilots, like split Shinji’s part between Dimitri and Byleth, give Edelgard a mix of Asuka’s and Kaworu’s parts etc. This being a deliberate choice and not an obvious conclusion because I’d want to focus on the four MCs. Otherwise, Lysithea would be the best Asuka hands down. Child prodigy? check. Pragmatic? Check. Driven to excell and prove herself by fucked up backstory? Check. Hides feelings by acting forceful? check.

Also the remaining cast? NERV employees or random classmates? Leaning towards the latter and maybe tweaking things so that more of them get to pilot as it has been done in various frachise iterations.

Also it might make sense to take some pointers from the greater frachise like maybe Gakuen Datenroku, or the Rebuild Continuity, just to have a timeskip after which everything is horrible. The world building/setting fusion alone would leave many open questions and be massively fun. There is after all in both places a “suspicious location” that’s the MCs base because of properties not known to the public involving ancient underground nonsense.

The Angels could be like, the vengeful spirits of the dragons?

Blade of Marmora AU - Part 1

Kolivan always put him on these boring backwater assignments.

He wasn't as big as the other Galrans. Not even the other hybrid children. He never would be. Whatever strange race his Dam had chosen when she gave birth to him, they had been small. Far smaller than Galrans, and those genetics apparently bred true. There had never been a possibility of blending in to be an agent placed within Zarkon's fleets. He stood out too much. Was too memorable. Drew too much suspicion by being so visibly non-Galran.

So he had been raised within the Blades of Marmora. Mostly growing up in in the main operations base. When his Dam never returned from a mission, the other Blades took up raising him. Although in hindsight, he supposed they had already been doing most of it anyways. There weren't many Galran women in the Blades, and their rarity often made them that much more in demand for certain missions. It meant his Dam had rarely been around. Duty and necessity to the cause. What little he could remember of her, was that she had loved him.

Mostly, it had been Thace caring for him until he was old enough to be on his own. Thace had been everything his Dam and non-Galran Sire had not been. He had gone silent for a week when Thace had accepted the assignment to infiltrate Zarkon's main fleet. Thace's paramour Ulaz was a hybrid himself, part Altean if rumor was to be believed. (It was rude to ask.) Ulaz had taught Keith puzzles and how to strategize. He'd tutored him in all his studies, especially science and medicine. Although, admittedly, he had little talent and less temperament for medicine. It had been painful when Ulaz had left to follow Thace to Zarkon's main fleet. Antok had sparred with him and groomed him, shown physical affection in the ways a growing Galran child needed to socialize properly, although he couldn't remember seeing his face on more than a handful of occasions. Like him, Antok was a hybrid Galran who looked notably different enough that he could never do the covert work of being a double agent in Zarkon's fleets. He wore his mask constantly. Kolivan had been the leader of the Blades of Marmora for as long as Keith could remember. He was necessarily aloof from the others, but he had given Keith his first blade, and passed him his Dam's blade once Keith was old enough to start taking his own missions.

Patrolling a largely uninhabited solar system on the edges of Zarkon's Empire, reporting back ship movements and the status of the civilizations here.

He snorted aloud, scrolling through the read-outs on Arus. The Arusians had yet to achieve spaceflight, and likely wouldn't for at least a half dozen centuries. The most interesting thing in the system was a derelict ship sitting near one of the larger villages on Arus, half-buried under who knew how many decades of dirt and dust. It didn't seem to be damaged, just as if it had landed and been abandoned.

He was starting to consider landing on the planet and checking it out. Maybe the ancient thing could be scavenged for something useful to the rebellion. He certainly didn't have much in the way of better prospects here.

He was prepping to enter orbit when the alarms on his ship started blaring, amaranth-colored lights flashing in a shade disturbingly close to fresh-spilled blood. He veered away, hiding his ship amongst some debris and silencing the alarms. A warp gate had opened. It didn't match any energy signature he had in his databases.

The ship that exited the warp gate was even stranger than the readings.

It looked like an older feline beast species.

What had Ulaz called them? Lions.

Why would anyone make a ship shaped like a Lion?

Why paint it blue?

It was making a direct line for Arus and the ancient ship on its surface.

He waited a few doboshes before landing his cloaked solo corvette-class ship behind the Lion ship. Four aliens stood outside of it, staring at the derelict when he touched down. They seemed to have been doing so for a while.

The Lion turned to stare at him.

He froze still inside his own ship, eyes wide and locked with a ship that should not be able to detect his.

Who was piloting it?

What were these aliens?

"Blue?" One of the aliens had clearly caught onto the Lion's gaze. "What are you looking at, my beautiful lady?"

His ship picked up the outside conversation easily.

He was exposed. They didn't look like any race he had ever encountered, and he was at the edge of Zarkon's control...

If they were so powerful their ships could detect his cloaked one...

What if they had never encountered Zarkon? What if they could be allies to the Blades of Marmora?

He de-cloaked the ship.

He was exposed anyways.

When he stepped out, the four aliens were waiting to meet him.

The tallest stepped forward, clearly putting himself in-between Keith and the others. They looked oddly familiar in a way Keith couldn't place. The leader probably thought he was intimidating. Keith might be small, but he'd spent his life surrounded by people that had at least 40 centimeters on this one. He wasn't impressed by that height.

He removed his helmet and bared his teeth in greeting.

The Blue Lion ship looming above made a sound he would have called amused if it were a living creature.

The aliens exchanged wary glances between them.

"Dude, is that supposed to be a smile?"

"Lance," The tall one chastised before turning back to him. "I'm First Lieutenant Takashi Shirogane of Galaxy Garrison. Are you who the Blue Lion was bringing us to?"

Keith took a step back from the alien's (Shirogane's) outstretched hand, tilting his head cautiously, "You do not command the ship that brought you here?"

"Blue's kinda doing her own thing. She brought us here," The 'Lance' from earlier stepped closer casually. "We had to jet after fighting those Galra jerks."

"You fought Zarkon's soldiers?"

"The Galra, yes." The smallest one adjusted some sort of two-piece visor.

"Zarkon's Empire," Keith spat out reflexively. "Not the Galra!"

Okay. Maybe there was a reason Kolivan never sent him on sensitive missions.

The broadly built man in yellow spoke up next, "There are good Galra?"

"...Yes."

"Wow, that's awesome!" He peered around Shirogane, even though he looked like he should be one of the primary warriors of the group. "Oh, sorry, I'm Hunk! And you are?"

Keith didn't answer that.

"So how do you know these good Galra?" The short one narrowed suspicious eyes at him, "What planet is this? You look Human. Mostly."

He hadn't heard the name of his Sire's species in more than a decade.

"This is Arus." He raised an eyebrow, "How do you know about Humans?"

"We're Human." The small one stepped closer, examining him, "Is Arus your home planet? What do we call you?"

"No!" He wasn't from some backwater... He shook his head, "I'm not from Arus. But you can't be Human. Humans don't have Warp Gate technology. They've never made it this far into space."

"It's complicated," Shirogane said. "But we are Human, and Blue must have brought us here for some reason."

"There is nothing of interest in this entire system."

"There's whatever this structure is," Shirogane gestured to the derelict. "...And there's you."

He couldn't help but preen a little to be judged as interesting. Then again, this Human also thought the derelict was interesting. This Human. These Humans. He'd never spoken to someone from his Sire's species before in his life.

The Lion ship chose then to move, drawing all of their attention. It roared at the derelict, making all of them cringe, and Keith covered his sensitive ears and glared up at the ship. The creature? The Humans talked as if the strange ship were alive.

Shirogane looked at him, "It seems like maybe Blue was waiting for you to get here. Coming in?"

The short human looked around as they all carefully stepped inside, "Do you think this leads to the rest of Voltron?"

Keith's eyes widened.

His head jerked back to the Lion ship.
