dog teeth by nicole dollanganger. i like this one bc it's from the pov of being the one loved BY the dog motif character, not from the pov of the dog motif character, and it shows how negative that behaviour can really be. he handed me a pair of pliers and he told me to pull out his teeth, because as long as he had them he'd use them to do bad things.

this whole discussion around rap is a reminder for me how silly the concept of loving/hating and ENTIRE GENRE of music is to me.
Like. Do y'all have any idea how much music there is in the world. I can Guarantee you every genre has AT LEAST ONE song that clicks with you, you just gotta find it

Jonny D'ville is the reason I'm lowkey bopping to some country music now because Tiktok keeps feeding me country songs that remind me of him and it got me thinking: country music and theater music are practically the same. Hear me out. A lot of good country songs tell a story just like theater songs do but I feel like people hate on it more because A. They found the toxic side of country music and/or B. They don't like the yeehaw accents in the songs. But like there's some fun country bops if you go digging for them and I'm beginning to think the massive hate is unjustified in the same way theater geek music gets a lot of hate.
