everyone kept bugging me about p/al w/orld, so I watched a trailer and went “wow, not a single element of this game is unique, this is literally just a shit ton of rip offs, from the gameplay to the crafting screens, there is nothing original”

and then I found out the CEO is pro generative AI “”art”” so looks like my intuition was correct!!!

"He or she" is such a pet peeve of mine. Inclusivity aside, "they" is fewer words, quicker and less awkward to say, and doesn't call attention to itself with how people always seem to vocally stress or add small pauses while saying "he or she" and disrupting the flow of their words.

#also like. it suggests gender as a factor matters to the topic #and is a small red warning flag to me to be wary of that person's thoughts on trans people and general gender diversity #obviously not a sign that someone is transpohobic. but like. makes me squint and slightly distrust them on the topic #unless proven otherwise #also as like. a copywriter. you always want to try to reduce your word counts for clarity #if 'they' would be confusing in sentence i would just reword the sentence #ramblings of a bystander

it's always funny to me seeing those ads for companies that promise to sell you a tiny scrap of land in scotland so you can "legitimately" call yourself a lord or lady

buddy, i can call myself a lord or lady right the fuck now. there is nothing stopping me. it's not a protected title.

me saying "I am now the Lord of Tumblr" is just as real and legitimate as some CEO saying "you are now the lord of this random patch of dirt that you don't even actually own"
