Oh, the Sawamura siblings. Better than anyone, they have trained Daichi to become a great captain and to just zen-mode in order to enjoy his food.
Daichi's notes on the four:
• Ayame (彩芽) is barely a year younger than Daichi and she seems to have been born with all the emotional perception he lacks, having always been his crutch to "undense", as she says. She got very comfortable on the middle sibling role and to an unknown can appear to be lazy and distant, repeating "not my problem" and minding her own business, usually accidentally napping where she shouldn't. She is actually the most perceptive of the five, even if she uses her powers to bribe and blackmail the others into doing her chores ("oh, mom wouldn't like to know you got into another fight, Fuu", "Dai will be so upset if he discovers your cats destroyed his socks, Nao", "DAIKI WHERE IS MY BAGPACK", "Ok, I'll make your bento today, Dai, but you'll make my bento for the entire next week, take it or starve") and to make snarky comments on the others. As amazingly as it might sound, Ayame is an excellent listener and at the cost of some favour she can even give incredibly touching insights to anyone's problems. She usually calls Daichi "Dai", or "Daichi" when it follows a disappointed note, or "Dainii" when she's using her most sarcastic superiority jokes. Though she rarely oversteps on those, Daichi is sure she does it more for the humour than to hurt anyone. She used to be in the pingpong club during Junior school and Daichi remembers she was really good at it. She changed into being part of her student's council when she entered high school, where she could sharpen even more her entrepreneur skills, never loosing an opportunity to make a good business out of anything. Probably better than any of the youngers, Daichi knows how hard working she is, choosing a competitive school, very driven by all that ambitious Sawamura soul inside of her, and even if she tries to deny it he knows she also does it to help their family and friends out. As a fact that she started to learn how taxes work right at the start of her high school to help their mother business, which both scares the hell out of him and makes him swell with pride. That being said, never let Ayame in possession of any of your secrets or you'll end up being her slave forever.
• Daiki (大輝) is the elder twin, even if everyone thinks he's the younger giving his very cheerful nature. He loves being the centre of attention and in general can be perceived as, well, a bit too much. Perfectly dramatic for the drama club he's part of since forever, with an incredible capacity to never shut up no matter how early or late, his theatre years helped him to develop a very charismatic and joyous personality, sweet words that lets him get away with almost anything, if you're not his family. Because at home everyone knows better than to fall for the smiles that try to cover his little sense of consequences. Daichi knows he's a good kid and is proud of him, even if he has to listen to him talking about all the newest school gossip. He might have given up to remember al his friends names because Daiki seems to know everyone and their mothers on his school, though opposite of Ayame, he just likes to know and passing the information forward. Daiki usually calls Daichi as just "Dai", and Daichi narrows his eyes when is called "Dainii" as it proceeds a headache. Typical human hurricane, usually gets in trouble for being impulsive and always ends up getting into bickering, specially with Ayame who has the most energy to spat back. Daichi learned to just zone out and let him talk, only bothering to do the older brother voice when he discovers Daiki overstepped himself (again). Too distractive, he can't be trusted around fire and knives, so he ends up having more laundry and cleaning chores to compensate his inability to contribute to everyone's bento. At the end of the day he just wants to connect to people, crack some funny jokes and entertain everyone. And 1k likes on his videos.
• Naoki (直樹) is the younger twin and the complete opposite of Daiki. Daichi actually thinks Naoki stands out for being very opposite of everyone in the house. Poor Naoki craves time alone and a bit of silence, doesn't have the Sawamura brand stamina, is very bad at being awake before lunch, stresses far to easily (to Daichi's worry) and actually finds joy in the slowness. Daichi thinks Naoki has the soul of those old Edo poets that spent the day admiring gardens and writing haikus about flowers. Even Daichi knows that's partially from having to be constantly besides his sun-storm twin, not finding the space to put his thoughts out and introspecting everything. Ayame keeps reminding him to spend some time alone with Naoki so he can feel cared about, she also does it but apparently the quiet Sawamura has Daichi as a role figure. The only sibling who calls him "Dainii" without second intentions, Naoki is the main reason why Daichi knows so much about fish. When younger used to read a lot about the ocean and constantly asked to go to the aquarium. Because of the intense contrast between him and the other four, people mistakenly assume Naoki is shy and helpless, and if Daichi knows something about him is that he's neither of those. The Sawamura in him hardly needs any protection, usually not caring for provocations nor being intimidated by brutality, Naoki has a low social battery but also has good friends. Is capable of mastering any skills his curious mind gets interest for, specially things that take their time and dedication like cooking or tea brewing. He can, nevertheless, get easily overwhelmed by time sensitive things and stresses when things go out of his control. He used to be part of the nap club on the school he attends with his twin, but lately he has decided to sacrifice his energy for the cooking activities, which Daichi selfishly always volunteer to try out his efforts. Needless to say that's a sibling competition and none of them hold back on compliments for the chef.
• Fuyumi (不由美) is Daichi's incognita. If Daiki is a sun storm, Fuyumi is a supernova. If Naoki has Daichi as his model, Fuyumi seems to have made Daichi her nemesis and he can't figure why or how. She just seems to be contrary to anything he does or try to do to get closer to her. Once he tried to give her all those colourful hair things her classmates all wear and he remembers Ayame also used to love, but Fuyumi just hated them and Daichi can't figure what he has done wrong. The youngest Sawamura is like a wild cat, a bakeneko herself. She has all those cute new clothes but she prefers to wear the twin's old rags, refuse to let her hair to be controlled by elastics, is in constant need of band-aids, seems to enjoy being called "little monster" by Daiki (which lets Daichi exasperated, why would she like that??) and is rarely found clean or not stinking something ominous. How can a child be so intensely against any sort of domestication? The provocations seems to be very directed at Daichi. She is actually capable of socialize (in a way too aggressive manner to Daichi's taste) and live with the other siblings, but the moment Daichi tries anything it's like a bomb explodes. Ayame says it's because Daichi has a dense and authoritative aura and that frustrates Daichi even more, neither of those are things he can turn on and off, he just is like that! The youngest has even managed to make their sibling dinner time silent for an entire awkward minute by announcing she thinks volleyball is stupid. Daichi buried his face on his hands, Naoki covered his mouth in exasperation, Daiki got miraculously wordless, Ayame simply raised an eyebrow but neither couldn't find words to fill the silence. Fuyumi looked self satisfied. She isn't a complete lost case, even tough the others have to remind him more than the other way around. Fuyumi helps taking very good care of Naoki's cats and even Kintaro. She doesn't neglect her house chores and doesn't let anyone take easy on her either, unless she is tasked to do anything near Daichi, a lesson they all already learned to avoid. She gets constant complaints from school about her aggressive behaviour, yes, but her fights are always good intended and coming from a very well adjusted moral compass considering her age. She learned all the low words reading Daiki's manga and isn't shy at all to use her arsenal of cocky offenses, but where her words fail, her actions always proves she's willing to help everyone and not let any unfairness pass by her. Unless it's Daichi related, that is. He has a feeling Fuyumi is going to grow into those unadjusted sukeban punks and fears for his life (his worries are very correct).

Tarot pt.2
Okay I got distracted playing Mount & Blade yesterday, but here's part 2 of the tarot associations.
B/Bertie is XV - The Devil. The Devil is a card of ambition, sensation and temptation, oppression, and corrupting figures. I think of all the characters, B plays into the dualism between the Reversed and Upright meanings the most. B is jealous of MC, and I wouldn't put it past them to stage a coup if they feel MC is dealing with the Liege poorly, hence the ambition and temptation readings. However, they're probably the member of the Council most against the Liege, and the Reversed meaning of The Devil is all about freeing oneself from oppression and divorcing oneself from corrupting figures. And if MC gets a high enough relation with B, then B is able to (mostly) let go of their jealousy, letting go of their own internal temptations.
A/Alb is XVIII - The Moon. The Moon is a card of trickery, illusion, imagination, and the messages that can be found in one's dreams. Alb is MC's chancellor and diplomatic advisor, responsible for hosting other rulers and communicating with them, hence the association with dream messages. However, they're almost a second spymaster - extremely underhanded and willing to go behind everyone's backs if it furthers their family's goals and/or the deposition of the Liege.
M/Mel is XII - The Hanged Man. The Hanged man is a card of sacrifice, martyrdom, and knowledge. Mel, due to their issues, works themselves to the bone as MC's spymaster, dealing with a spy network that feeds them information from as far away as the capital of the empire or the northern border of Sayland. However, The Hanged Man in its Reversed position is specifically a card of pointless sacrifice, leading back to how the rest of the family would prefer if Mel chilled out.
E is a mix of V - The Hierophant and XVII - The Star. The Hierophant is a card of spiritual authority, conformity, and occasionally mercy, compassion, and education. The Star, meanwhile, is a card of 'the light at the end of the tunnel', joy and hope during a dark time. E, as MC's religious and legal advisor, has a link to the church, especially through their mentor, Bishop Rosalie. Personally, they are a source of great comfort to their family, and a good source of interpersonal advice.
P/P'enfant is XI - Justice. Justice is a card of... well, I don't think you need me to tell you. Once MC decides how to depose the Liege, P begins to become one of the Liege's most vicious opponents, constantly demanding justice for all of their crimes, representing the Upright meanings of karma and justice; additionally, P, as Akize's highest tax official, is the one dealing with the brunt of the Liege's pettiness and abuse of authority (aside from MC), and they also were there to find out when the Liege attacked one of MC's siblings, both of which represent well the Reversed meanings of abuse and miscarriage of justice. Admittedly, this is one of the shakier associations.
The Liege is IV - The Emperor. The Emperor is a card of temporal authority (contrasting with V - The Hierophant, which is similar but more spiritual), leadership, and control. However, the Liege is more associated with the card's Reversed meaning than its Upright meaning: they're a tyrant, they're petty and immature, they're domineering, they're stubborn - all things associated with The Reversed Emperor. There's also minor associations with XVI - The Tower in that by destroying them and upending the old order, MC paves the way for something better... probably.

Rex had one time tried to tell Talia that every day on Kamino wasn’t rainy, that sometimes the sun peaked out behind the gray veil of clouds, but the past two days spent in Tipoca City felt shrouded in time, Talia’s internal clocked screwed up as she shuffled from briefing to briefing. She met with cadets, all of whom seemed in awe at the presence of a Jedi. It was sweet how they spoke with excitement, but Talia couldn’t ignore the twist in her gut as they vowed their unwavering support to the Republic. So young, yet that was the only life they were told about. At lunch she ate with Storm, who had attended his own sessions to assist training cadets as well, but Storm could sense something had been going on with Talia lately. He had been watching her closely since Turia, maybe just checking in on her as she recovered, but by now she was ready to snap at him, no longer wanting to deal with his probing gaze.
It was almost dinner time, and she knew he would be waiting again. But Talia wasn’t hungry, and didn’t feel the urge to risk him asking too many questions about why her mood was so downcast as of late. She debated heading to a training room again; she hadn’t gotten much further with her progress with force lightning. She really did rely on an output of rage to create it, so each burst seemed weaker than the last. She tried delving into her mind, finding fuel for the energy while she trained, but the dark place it took her was taxing. She was torn between the drive for the power, and the mental wall she had put up against it.  She knew it was risky even dabbling with it this much. But she wanted to try it more. There had to be good use for a power like this, the Council just didn’t see it yet.
She knew also  that she shouldn’t push herself, though; the process was physically and mentally draining. Her knuckles were raw and bruised already from not taking proper care in her earlier training. A residual ache lingered in her body from the exhaustion of pushing herself past her limits. Talia had enough sense to know she shouldn’t push it more for the day, but now found herself wandering the too-bright pathways of Tipoca City.
Pacing through the halls, Talia paused to watch the ever-storming weather outside, her gaze following a graceful aiwha as it flew out of the water, battling against the wind before diving back into the thrashing waters.
“General Riva!” A booming voice called from her side. Talia didn’t have time to turn but she didn’t need to see who it was; only one clone had such a presence, and quite honestly had the nerve to swoop her up in a wampa-hug that threatened to break her ribs.
“Wrecker!” Talia coughed out in laughter as her feet left the ground. Wrecker quickly placed her back on the ground – the man meant well, at times he just forgot his own strength. Talia grinned at him and took in the rest of Clone Force 99 behind him. She had met them about a year ago, when they had helped the 412th on a mission when the battalion was still in its rebuilding phase after the vicious attack from Maul.
Hunter stood to the side of Wrecker, a small smile of greeting on his tattooed face. Tech seemed more interested in something on his datapad, but mumbled his greetings, while Crosshair stood the furthest back, a signature toothpick in his mouth.
“Good to see you all! Nothing ever seems to change with you guys. Crosshair, your smile is as lovely as ever.”
The sniper rolled his eyes at that, but Talia caught the smallest flicker of a grin threatening to peek through. Hunter stepped forward and held his arm out, which Talia accepted to shake as he spoke, “Good to see you, General. What brings you to Kamino?”
“Just some repairs, picking up some new troops,” Talia shrugged. She tilted her head back, “You all heading to the mess? I guess I should finally head over and get some food.”
“We just got back from a mission-“ Hunter started
“-and don’t feel like dealing with that many regs,” Crosshair added under his breath.
“So, we were just going to head to our quarters,” Hunter finished, ignoring the statement from his brother. He glanced at Talia, back at his squad, then back to her “We actually have some…uh… contraband, if you’re looking for something to do tonight?”
“Offering alcohol to a General? That’s a bold move,” Talia scoffed, crossing her arms. For a moment Hunter looked flustered, as if he were worried she might actually reprimand them when Talia laughed, loosening her posture and slapping him on the shoulder. “You have no idea what I would do for a drink – I’m in.”
The Bad Batch were truly unlike any clones Talia worked with; besides their physical differences, they had their oddities that made them an interesting bunch to hang out with. What they had in common with their reg counterparts, was their bond with each other. The way they would nag and tease one another, a  flair for embellishment when recalling war stories. And for Talia it was a needed break, listening to them goof off after having a few beers.
Wrecker found a way to grow more boisterous under the influence of alcohol, Tech would fall into slightly slurred tangents that were loosely related to the topic of conversation which would prompt Crosshair to teasingly taunt him to ‘turn the page’ to the next topic, but Talia caught the way his normally stern face slipped into a smirk as he joked with his brother. Hunter leaned back in his chair, slowly nursing his drink, a light flush on his cheeks. He would occasionally toss Talia an apologetic glance when one of his brothers made a particularly crass joke, but Talia always waved it off with a smile.
The night quickly moved on, Talia and the Batch drinking more of the beer they had stashed away. It was cheap stuff, even more watered down than what Republic offered for free to clones at 79’s; but it worked to give Talia a light buzz. She leaned against the table, laughing and tossing out jokes once she felt more comfortable- Talia knew the Kaminoans would disapprove for so many reasons, but she didn’t care.
Talia thought back to herself at the beginning of the war, unsure and a bit uncomfortable in her new role as a General. Many nights she had secluded herself in her own quarters as the Venator drifted through space, reading into the late hours. Then one time as the ship was docking in Coruscant, Church, Storm and a few others had invited her to 79’s for the first time. She’d been hesitant, but she accepted.
It was nice, seeing her men more at ease; even if they were as unsure how to act with her off duty as she was with them. But they settled in, getting a bit drunk and enjoying each other’s company. For Talia, that was the moment it hit her how close she was in age to the men she served with, how normal hanging out with them in down time felt. She started to make a habit of going, or relaxing in the barracks after a long mission. Maybe it was unprofessional for her as their technical superior, but Talia grew to rely on the downtime.  She felt it from the men too: the longer they fought the more they needed these little moments where they could dull the stresses of war. And when soldiers passed on, she was able to look back on those nights as a way to remember them, remember the way they laughed or the dumb jokes told.
That’s why she felt at ease whenever she went out with the 501st, or even now drinking with the Batch. She didn’t know them as well as her own men, but it was easy to sit in and relax with them. The beer was hitting her head, how little food she had that day more obvious as she could feel herself getting drunk. But she didn’t care, she hadn’t laughed this hard in awhile. She felt like the weight that had been resting in her gut ever since Turia was slightly lessened, the laughter easing the tension that settled over her and the alcohol numbing the bitterness she felt. Maybe this was made easier by how different Rex was from the Batch. They didn’t look like the regular clones, their voices even sounded slightly different so she didn’t feel that jolt of pain she had been feeling any time she talked to a soldier since she had last seen Rex.
Shit. She’d done it again. She’d thought of Rex.
Talia glanced at the empty bottle in her hand; the drink was obviously not doing its job if she was still being reminded of him. She reached for another full bottle, cracked the lid open and gulped.
“How do you drink so much for someone so tiny?” Wrecker’s voice called out from across the table, a teasing grin on his face. Sure enough, about half a dozen empty bottles sat in front of him, and the large clone seemed barely buzzed.
“I handle my booze just fine,” Talia answered seriously, not realizing the evident slur that would lay in her voice nor predicting how when she waved her hand, she would knock over the empty bottles in front of her. The boys laughed at her clumsiness, and she grinned bashfully, reaching down to pick up the bottles. “In my defense, I would have done that sober.”
It turns out the Bad Batch had a decent beer supply, pulling out a new case and drinking more. Talia still more observed their conversation, her eyes being drawn to the waves outside the window once more. How they thrashed against the foundations for Tipoca City, the lights from the buildings reflecting against the surface before it faded into darkness, the waters a black void in the nighttime that would occasionally be illuminated by bolts of lightning.
Talia was vaguely aware of the boys getting into a brotherly argument, catching a glimpse of something that sounded vaguely like a plan to head into the shooting range. As the ranking officer present, she probably should have had the sense to say something along the lines of ‘alcohol and blasters don’t mix’ but she was more fascinated with the sight out the viewport. The door slammed shut, a silence settling in the room with the absence left from Tech, Crosshair and Wrecker. Hunter grabbed a few bottles, placing them together to slightly tidy up, his eye flicking to Talia as she sat with her thoughts. She held her bottle in her hand, the cool glass against her skin as she twisted it in her fingers, the ale sloshing inside, a poor mimicry of the waves outside.
“Everything ok?” Hunter asked, nudging Talia and breaking her from her silent periphery. Her head jerked to the side, glancing at him. Talia stilled her movements of the bottle, instead, tilting it back and swallowed the remaining booze.
“Yeah, I’m good,” Talia answered right after as Hunter raised a brow doubtingly. Talia sighed. “Just had a long training day, that’s all.”
Hunter huffed out a laugh. “I understand that; whenever we come back around the Kaminoans run us through every possible test and training routine.”
“Coming home isn’t just all fun?” Talia asked, already knowing the answer. Kamino might be home to the clones, and some had differing degrees of sentimentality to it, but there was nothing ‘homey’ about the aquatic world that she had witnessed these few days.
“It’s not all bad; don’t have to deal with clankers, but I guess we have to trade them in for the Kaminoans,” Hunter answered, earning a giggle from Talia.
“Not that I’m complaining, because it was nice to see a more relaxed side of you, but why did you spend your night with us? Surely you must have had more exciting things to do?” Hunter seemed sincere with his questioning, a curious glance in his eye.
“Not at all; I’m not a very exciting person.” Talia shrugged, earning a disbelieving huff of laughter from the clone next to her.
“I doubt that,” Hunter replied, leaning against the table to smirk at her. Talia rotated on the bench, swinging her legs over it so she sat facing him.  Maybe it was the influence of the cheap beer, but it really was hard to tell he was a clone. Hunter didn’t have the same sweet honeyed eyes of his brothers; his were smoky, like everything else about him from his long hair to the tattoo covering half his face. Talia always felt the tattoo acted as a mask half the time; imperceptible emotions hidden away under it. A fierceness that hid a layer of softness underneath. She couldn’t quell the curiosity in her mind that wondered how far the skeletal pattern went on the rest of his body.
“Oh, I mean it,”” Talia insisted, taking one last sip of the beer in her hands; she didn’t even realize she had been that close to finishing another one. Her cheeks were warm, the room slightly swaying but she contributed a part of that to the waves rocking outside. Talia pressed her arm against the table, leaning against it and mirroring Hunter’s pose facing her. “Don’t really get up to much. Unless you count that one time I was kidnapped by bounty hunters and held hostage by Count Dooku.”
Hunter looked taken aback for a second at Talia’s blunt delivery, but his face broke into a grin as he shook his head. Talia giggled, feeling a bit lighter by the minute. Maybe this was what she needed. A distraction, her head being somewhere else.
“Still, hanging out with me and my brothers probably isn’t up to your speed,” Hunter continued. “Hope the boys haven’t been driving you too crazy.”
“Hunter, I would be perfectly capable of leaving if I was bored,” Talia rolled her eyes. “Besides, you all are…refreshing. And I needed to unwind a little.”
“So did it help?” Hunter asked, spreading his arms wide on the edge of the table behind him. Talia’s eyes flicked to the way his biceps pressed against the tight material of his undersuit, quickly correcting herself to bring them back to his face. “Hanging out, do you feel less stressed?”
“A bit,” Talia nodded, ignoring the heat settling in her cheeks.
“Anything in particular bothering you?” Hunter asked once again, his voice filled with sincerity. The liquor loosening her lips tempted Talia to talk about everything on her mind; about her own insecurities with the Order and as a leader, how stuck she felt, about Rex. But her last shred of composure allowed her to keep it in, stoppering the bottle of emotions in her.
“Just had a lot of long campaigns in a row,” Talia answered vaguely. It wasn’t a lie. Just withholding the finer details.
“I understand,” Hunter sighed, leaning into the table. “Half the time we aren’t even finished with one mission before we’re getting our next assignments.”
“I just want it all to be over with,” Talia admitted. “No more fighting; I’m good at it, but I never wanted to be a soldier.”
“What did you want then?” It was the type of question that had run through Talia’s brain often these past few days. In theory, it should be simple to answer. But Talia felt a weight pressing on her chest every time she even tried to delve into it.
“I’m not sure, but I know this isn’t it.” Talia answered softly. Hunter’s brows cinched, searching for something comforting to say. If he knew her better, he probably would probe her more, trying to get out of Talia what was really troubling her, what left her in this limbo of doubt. His eyes met hers, soft and reassuring and Talia allowed a smile back, something to signal she was ok.
“I’m sure you’ll figure it out,” Hunter assured, “It’s a pretty wide galaxy out there. Besides, you’re an amazing woman, and I don’t think there’s much you can’t do.”
Talia resisted the urge to sarcastically laugh, thinking of all the things she failed at. But Hunter was being so sincere, something about his presence was so strangely calming. It was…nice having this sort of reassurance. Even if she didn’t want to talk more in depth about it, someone being there and seeming to care was comforting. And he was familiar. The way his face scrunched when he thought, the small smile he gave, even the sound of his voice; it was scratching the surface of what she knew. And maybe she had been wrong in secluding herself so much lately, because even just this moment of company was partially filling a vacancy that had been left within her. Or maybe it was the drunken haze settled into her, driving some innate need of hers to be with someone else, to feel something else than the loneliness that she allowed to seep in recently.
Talia wasn’t sure what propelled her to do it, whether it was just the beer or the way he smirked at her, or just how much she craved the touch of another person. But Talia leaned in, pressing her lips to Hunter’s, chasing him back as he mumbled something in surprise.
Hunter did not protest, instead his hands found purchase on her hips as Talia clumsily straddled his lap, his grip steadying her and pulling her tighter to him. Talia moaned into his mouth as her core grinded against the bulge forming in his pants, eliciting a curse from Hunter as he gripped her harder, encouraging her to keep moving against him. The kiss was needy, desperate, remnants of beer lingering on their lips. Talia slid a hand up Hunter’s neck, gripping his hair and tugging lightly. Hunter pulled back for air, and for a moment Talia was worried she had crossed a line but before she knew it aHunter’s hands were sliding lower to grip her ass as he stood.
Talia yelped as she was jolted up. Hunter picked her up and turned them around, just to place her at the edge of the table. He leaned down, kissing her again as Talia’s hand’s found purchase on the front of his shirt, tugging the fabric up.
“Are you sure?” Hunter asked breathily, pulling back to search for any hesitancy from Talia. She shook her head and tugged at his shirt once more. She bit her lip and met his eyes.
“I’ve always wanted to know how far down this tattoo went,” Talia smirked, pressing her hand to his face. Hunter returned the smirk and helped her remove his shirt. He was leaner than Rex, Talia observed, and the skeletal tattoo continued down his torso, black lines over his toned chest and disappearing beneath the waist line of his pants. Before Talia could reach to pull more off him, Hunter’s hands met the hem of her tunic, unwrapping her robes. His eyes glanced up to hers once more and she nodded, her hands meeting his to help speed up the process.
This was no flight of passion, not a moment of devotion and need for one another, where they were the only thing that could satisfy the other’s need; no, it was instinct, it was desperate and rushed.
It was craving the touch of someone else, almost pretending it was something more just to fill the void.
Talia quickly tossed off the last of her clothes, just for Hunter’s rough hands to meet her skin. She moaned as he cupped her breasts, arching herself to press into his touch. His head dipped and he took a nipple into his mouth, swiping over it with his tongue. Talia gasped at the tingling pleasure brought on by Hunter’s mouth, her hands once again landing on his head. Hunter seemed to like it when she tugged on his hair, because he started to suck on her breast, his hand roughly squeezing the other as she cried out.
Hunter pulled back and glanced over her body, the remnants of his spit still glistening over her chest, her legs spread wide and revealing herself completely to him. It suddenly struck Talia, the intimacy of it all, almost too much for what she wanted. She flipped herself over, resting her forearms on the table and sticking her ass out for him to see.
“Fuck me, Hunter,” she sighed, glancing gover her shoulder at him. His eyes were wide as they trained on her wiggling ass. “I want you inside me.”
“Are you sure?” Hunter asked once again as he slowly, hesitantly gripped his cock.
“Yes, just… fuck me already,” Talia ordered, facing forward once more.
Hunter’s hands gripped her waist, his thumbs massaging over her skin as the head of his cock nudged against the lips of her pussy. Her heart was pounding, a thud in her head that could be partially contributed to the ample amount of alcohol in her system. Hunter slowly pressed into her, groaning at the tightness around his cock. Talia winced slightly from the stretch with no foreplay, but relaxed into it, moaning as he settled all the way inside her. The fullness made her eyes roll back into her head, that satisfying relief of having that which she had been craving.
Hunter’s hips slowly rocked back and forth, his breath rugged and hoarse above her as he squeezed the flesh of her hips. His cock dragged along her walls, her cunt squeezing around him.
Talia’s body was still wound tight, a need for something still stirred in her gut and as good as it felt having him inside her she needed even more. Her palms pressed flat on the surface of the table for more leverage as Talia bounced her ass back to meet his strokes. Hunter cursed as Talia met his thrusts, his cock hitting deeper inside her. It ignited something in him, maybe knowing she wanted more was the right push he needed to give it his all.  He placed a hand between Talia’s shoulder blades, nudging her down against the table as he fucked into her harder.
Talia’s cheek rested against the cool surface, the edge of the table imprinting along her thighs. Talia squeezed her eyes shut, listening as the room was filled by the jostling of the table, slightly skidding on the floor with each thrust, the slap of Hunter’s hips meeting Talia’s ass, his grunts and her high-pitched gasps echoing along the walls. She felt his hand as it firmly held her back in place, his fingers spread wide against the smooth and now sweat dampened skin. Blood was rushing through her head, her mind numb as she succumbed to the feel of Hunter burying himself in her, each buck of his hips like a lightning strike of pleasure to her gut.
Even in her state, that prickling feeling in the back of her mind reminded Talia how the rest of the batch could walk back in at any moment, that they could see her naked and bent over the table they had all been drinking at moments ago, having all sense being fucked out of her by their Sergeant. But she couldn’t bring herself to care. She needed this, needed to feel him using her for his pleasure. Needed to feel the touch of someone else, get to that precipice of an orgasm that wasn’t from her own hand. Needed to feel something.
Talia’s legs were twitching as they hung off the side of the table, no longer able to rest on the ground as the hot waves of pleasure began to spread through her body. Hunter’s breath grew more frantic, his grunts getting louder as his pace grew sloppy. He lowered himself so his chest pressed into her back, their skin clinging to the other. Talia almost cursed at him for changing the angle when her orgasm was so close, but her words were lost to a cry of pleasure as he slammed himself into her deeper and harder. His head fell in the crook of her neck, his breath hot on her skin. His rasping voice in her ear telling her how good she felt, how hot she was, and grunting her name before he pulled out, spilling hot spurts of his cum on her ass.
Hunter stepped back, his breathing still heavy, his voice husky as he asked, “Did you finish?”
“Yeah,” Talia lied, her own breath still tense. She could feel Hunter’s gaze on her, his own doubt in her words palpable but he didn’t voice it.
Hunter stepped away, murmuring something about getting a towel as Talia slowly pressed herself up. Through the glass on the window she caught her reflection, her hair disheveled, her cheeks flushed, but mostly what she caught was the exhaustion in her face. Her heart rate slowed down, the orgasm  slowly fading away, and she was left wrung out. It had felt satisfying while it was happening, it had seemed like what she wanted. But an ache settled in her chest because it wasn’t enough, because it only scratched the surface of what she really wanted. Who she really wanted.
After considering the past few days a victory for having not cried, Talia couldn’t stop the flow of tears that suddenly cascaded down her face. It seemed as though her body was trying to release every bottle up emotion she had through her tears as she heaved out a sob and crouched to the ground.
“Shit, Talia?” Hunter’s called out, rushing back over to crouch where she huddled and hot flashes of mortification hit Talia. She didn’t want to be crying right now, but it felt like a dam had burst, and she could not stop herself.
“I’m so so-sorry,” Talia choked out, trying to stop the tears but all she managed to do was cry harder. Naked. On the floor. With Hunter staring at her as horrified as Talia truly felt.
“Don’t apologize, I should apologize!” Hunter hurried to grab the remnant of Talia’s clothes where they were scattered about. He brought them over to her, seemed like he was going to try and put them on her again but retracted his hands and just held out the clothes for Talia to shakily accept. “Please, what did I do? Did I hurt you?”
“No you didn’t, you were great. I’m just in love,” Talia’s voice cracked out in a sobbing drunken slur.
Hunter stared at her, his horror fading into confusion, then ran a hand through his hair. “Gen-Talia, I’m very flattered but uh-“
Talia actually managed to hiccup a laugh in between her sobs, as she loosely wrapped her tunic on. “No, n-not you. I’m not that drunk.”
“Let me get you some water,” Hunter stood up to grab a canteen as Talia redressed. He pulled his shirt over his head as she gulped it down, then kept a watchful eye on her until she finished it. “Listen, I’m so sorry if you felt I pushed you to do anything, I thought you were more aware and wanted-“
“Hunter, I wanted it,” Talia cut him off. “It’s just…I recently got out of a relationship and thought this would-.”
Talia couldn’t finish the sentence because she herself didn’t know the answer. Did she really think having sex with someone else would magically make her feelings for Rex go away? Did she just want to numb the pain she was feeling and used the first person she could find?
Hunter stared at her for a moment, understanding dawning on his features. He didn’t need Taia to explain further. He just nodded and sat next to her, “I didn’t think Jedi did the whole relationship thing.”
“We’re not supposed to, at least not fully,” Talia explained, still sniffling. “We’re encouraged to love, but are supposed to be able to let go. I’m struggling with the latter.”
“Who was the guy?” Hunter asked after a beat. As Talia bit her lip and looked down he quickly added, “You don’t have to-“
“He’s another clone,” Talia admitted softly. Her hand reflexively went to her neck, searching for the necklace she would usually fiddle with whenever she was thinking or nervous. In another jolt to the gut she remembered she didn’t have it anymore. “He ended it because things were too complicated.”
That was putting it too simply, Talia knew it. And she had a hunch Hunter knew it too by how he looked at her, but he didn’t question it.
“But you love him?”
Talia nodded, wiping her face with the back of her forearm. “Didn’t get to tell him that though.”
Hunter and Talia sat in silence after that. He offered her more water as tears still fell from her face. When she couldn’t cry anymore, she could barely keep her eyes open, the sweet temptation of sleep calling to her.
“You can crash here if you need to, I don’t mind sleeping on the floor,” Hunter offered as he stood up. He held out his hand to Talia, which she accepted while shaking her head.
“No, I shouldn’t. Besides the walk back to my quarters might do me some good,” Talia waved him off. Hunter looked doubtingly at her to which she just rolled her eyes, “I can message you when I get back, does that make you feel better?”
“Yes it does; you can barely stand straight and I don’t want to think you fell into the ocean,” Hunter nudged her with a smirk. Talia actually managed to giggle a laugh at that. She made a last attempt to make herself appear a little bit together in the event that she walked into anyone on her route back, but she accepted it was a lost cause.
The halls were empty, their white glow adding to her already forming headache. She didn’t rush her walk back; even though she wanted nothing more than to go to sleep she was already dreading the feelings that would come in the morning. The guilt she was feeling was gnawing at her, guilt for her own embarrassment, for how Hunter had to see her in that state, and that bit of guilt that made her feel like she had betrayed Rex.
Every bit of this planet reminded Talia of Rex. She should have known drinking would just make that worse. She didn’t expect it to make her admit the depth of her feelings for Rex. How much she missed him calling to check in on her, the thought that she could meet up with him on leave sometime soon, or that they even could have a mission that would bring them together. These empty white halls and the thousands of identical faces just made her ache for the one that now probably wanted nothing to do with her. If she had told him she loved him back on Turia, would he have still ended it? Or would he have fought to keep her, like how she wanted him too?
Talia found herself in her quarters, once again plunged into that darkness with nothing but the void of the sea outside her window. The rain had slowed, the waves lightly rocking instead of thrashing; she wondered if it would actually be a sunny day tomorrow. Her fading buzz tingled through her, her eyes growing heavy as she collapsed in the bed, holding her comm in her hand.
Tumblr media
Dawn on Coruscant felt timeless in parts of the city; the buildings rose so high that on certain platforms you couldn’t tell the sun was rising, a peculiar haze just settled into the city. There were remnants of bar goers still out from a few of the clubs that stayed open later, night and morning shift workers trading places in their commutes, freight vessels landing in the atmosphere carrying food, medical supplies, and all the miscellaneous supplies the people of the Republic’s capital needed.  It was a bit of a walk from Naobe’s apartment to the train station; Rex had stayed there longer than he should have, but he was still slipping out before she could wake up.
Rex needed to clear his head; he had done nothing wrong technically, but he couldn’t ignore the feeling in his gut, that guilt that made him feel like he had. Maybe Naobe would be upset to find her empty bed that morning, she had seemed fairly interested in him, but Rex wasn’t planning on seeing her again. It was a stupid distraction. One night with a random woman wasn’t going to make him forget how he was feeling. Wouldn’t make him forget Talia. He had known that, yet he still felt disappointed.
Still, he couldn’t dwell on it. He was Captain Rex of the 501st. He had a duty to the Republic, to the brothers who served under him; he couldn’t let his emotions get in the way of that. He would push through like he had pushed through everything else that had come his way.
Rex arrived at the train station; it was empty apart from a couple sitting on a bench near the ticket booth. It was a quick ride to the base, and the next train should only be a few minutes away. Rex glanced at the couple, a Twi’lek man and woman. The man held a bag in his hands, and the woman was leaning on his shoulder, eyes drifting closed as she fought to stay awake. Rex looked away, fiddling with his comm as he felt like he was invading on something too private.
He had muted his comm while at Naobe’s, and had a couple messages. Nothing urgent it seemed, mostly the chat he was in with a few of the CC’s going off. Flicking through them to clear the notification, something else caught his eye that punched him in the gut.
Talia had left him a voice message.
Rex stared at the screen, unsure of if he should wait until he got to base, play the message now, or just delete it and save himself the trouble. But his own desire to hear the sound of her voice won out, and Rex hit play, letting the message echo through his helmet.

Would it have been possible for Jon to marry a bastard girl, either lowborn or "highborn" such as Mya Stone (for example) and be given a keep and lands? Either in the North or someplace else? Or would that have been impossible, as Catelyn and Hoster would protest, because they would fear that Jon being granted a keep, lands and allowed to establish a house, would possibly endanger the succession of House Stark/possibly created conditions for Jon's children or grandchildren, to usurp Winterfell and the North from Robb or Robb's descendants? Even though both Jon and his wife would be bastards.
Jon certainly imagines a scenario somewhat like this in ASOS:
His lord father had once talked about raising new lords and settling them in the abandoned holdfasts as a shield against wildlings. The plan would have required the Watch to yield back a large part of the Gift, but his uncle Benjen believed the Lord Commander could be won around, so long as the new lordlings paid taxes to Castle Black rather than Winterfell. "It is a dream for spring, though," Lord Eddard had said. "Even the promise of land will not lure men north with a winter coming on."
If winter had come and gone more quickly and spring had followed in its turn, I might have been chosen to hold one of these towers in my father's name. Lord Eddard was dead, however, his brother Benjen lost; the shield they dreamt together would never be forged.
Nor is it entirely without precedent for a bastard to marry - and not even necessarily marry only another bastard - and have a formal position within his birth House/region. After all, Ser Walder Rivers married a woman of a House sworn to the Freys of the Crossing and functions as another knightly and (pseudo) dynastic representative of House Frey: attempting to bring Chett to justice in Lord Walder's name, commanding soldiers both in Lothar Frey's escort and at the Red Wedding, and participating in Jaime's military council to manage in the post-Red Wedding Riverlands.
However, I think there are three major obstacles to this line of thinking. Number one, as I mentioned in my post about Jeyne Poole potentially marrying Jon in an alternate universe, by AGOT Jon had very much internalized the bastard prejudice prevalent in much of aristocratic Westerosi society. Indeed, while Jon in AGOT acknowledged that "Robb would someday inherit Winterfell, would command great armies as the Warden of the North" and "Bran and Rickon would be Robb's bannermen and rule holdfasts in his name", he then questioned "what place … a bastard [could] hope to earn". While we don't know the exact moment Jon decided on joining the Night's Watch, the fact that Jon acknowledges that "[h]e had thought on it long and hard" by the time he was discussing the possibly with Benjen certainly suggests that this was not a spur of the moment decision, but one born from years of ruminating over his place as (ostensibly) Ned Stark's bastard. Therefore, in order for Jon to have sufficient motivation to want to both marry and have a role within the Stark regime of the North, he would have had to be a very different Jon from the Jon we see in the novels, and either Jon himself and/or the environment around him would have had to change dramatically.
Number two, we have virtually no idea what Ned imagined for Jon's future. This becomes a more complicated question than it might seem on surface (certainly to the characters in-universe), given the obviously unspoken factor of Jon's true biological parentage. We have no idea whether Ned ever wanted Jon to marry and have children, especially given the then-dormant political bombshell of his, Jon's, true origins, nor do we have any idea how whatever promise Ned made to Lyanna would or would not affect such a future. At most, Ned voiced a vague and undefined hope related to the closeness of Jon and Robb, but what this hope might have represented in Ned's mind is totally unclear - as simple as a mere expression of their (non-biological) fraternal bond or as formal as the advisory relationship seen between, say, Torrhen Stark and Brandon Snow. Given Jon's youth in AGOT - still only 14, at an age when Ned himself had been still happily living in the Vale with no expectations of future responsibilities - it's probable that Ned believed he still had at least two to four more years before he needed to start thinking about what to do
Number three, and somewhat related to number two, Catelyn would be not at all happy to have Jon marrying, much less receiving lands and a keep along with a marriage. No matter that I doubt Ned would have been formally petitioning for Jon to be legitimated (which would have been an absolutely terrible idea from Ned's perspective), and no matter that Jon would have been technically establishing his own line separate from House Stark (a la Walder Rivers' descendants, who still bear the surname "Rivers" rather than "Frey") - any marriage for Jon would only deepen the insult Catelyn has nursed for the better part of two decades. By giving Jon a semi-dynastic marriage, and especially by giving Jon lands and a keep, Ned might have (at least in Catelyn's view) been suggesting that Jon was an equal member of the Stark dynasty - dangerous fodder, perhaps (and again, certainly in Catelyn's mind) for future struggle between her descendants and Jon's. Catelyn would of course not have had the power to prevent Jon from getting lands, a keep, or a marriage from Ned (although obviously any Riverlands holding for Jon would be out of the question), but she could certainly protest as much to Ned.

minos, king of crete and judge of the dead (asteroid 6239)
Tumblr media
Minos was the son of Zeus and the Phoenician princess, Europa. It was with Poseidon's help that he was placed on the throne in Crete. Allegedly, when his successor died the council said that a sign would be sent by the gods to determine who ruled next - so Minos prayed to Poseidon for a sign and suitable sacrifice to give the gods. Soon after a white bull emerged from the sea - this left no room for questions that Minos was the rightful ruler (that makes... total sense lol). Minos thought that the bull was better than the ones he owned so instead of sacrificing Poseidon's gift to him, Minos kept the bull and sacrificed one of his others. Poseidon was enraged by this so he turned his gift into an angry, untamable creature. Minos later married Pasiphae (daughter of Helios) who bore him many children including Ariadne. Poseidon saw Pasiphae as an opportunity; asking Aphrodite for help with the task of punishing Minos, they made Pasiphae fall in love with the bull. Whenever she approached the bull it would grow violent. Pasiphae asked the architect and inventor Daedalus for help with seducing the bull (lol Daedalus must have really just loved creating or gold because he said ya sure). Daedalus created a fake cow with a compartment for Pasiphae to lie in - she then consummated her union with the bull, creating the minotaur. The minotaur only got older and angrier, so Daedalus was again tasked with crafting something - the labyrinth. It is seen in Athenian dramas that Minos is a tyrannical leader who enjoys feeding people to the Minotaur. This was a reaction to the death of his son Androgeos - Zeus allowed Minos to place a capital tax of seven boys and seven girls from Athens every nine years to be sent to Crete as a sacrifice to the Minotaur. Minos was later killed by the daughters of King Cocalus after going to Sicily in search of Daedalus. These daughters boiled him alive. Hades appreciated his ability to judge people - it also didn't hurt that Minos was a son of Zeus - so he made Minos one of the three judges in the Underworld. IN MY OPINION Minos in your chart represents a) where god/a god may answer your wishes for an exchange, b) where there appears to be a full circle made (Zeus seduced Europa in the form of a bull, Minos got a bull as his sign, his wife was then seduced by said bull…), c) where you are greedy, d) where you are seen as abusive with power, and/or e) where you have the power to decide what happens to others.

i encourage you to look into the aspects of minos along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of minos AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede minos!

Tumblr media
I stole from @pessimistics so steal it from me--
Tumblr media
these require explanation see under the cut--
So... to preface this, many of Katrina's crimes were done under her authority as a Council Spectre. What this essentially means is that during these times, she is considered above the law, therefore she is technically not committing a crime by the same standards as others. Key examples:
MURDER: Yes, she murdered the scientists responsible for Akuze that Toombs identified. However, they killed 50 of her fellow marines for the sake of experimentation, and tortured Toombs for years following the incident. Also, you know... crashing an asteroid into a mass relay that destroyed an entire star system, including a colony of 300,000 batarians.
B&E / THEFT: Yes, she broke into Donovan Hock's vault with Kasumi's help... but Hock was a notorious criminal who murdered Keiji Okuda for his greybox. Kat simply helped steal it back from Hock.
TRESPASSING: Again, trespassing on Hock's vault, sneaking into batarian space to rescue an Alliance operative... yeah.
TREASON: She did steal the Alliance's most advanced warship (the Normandy SR-1) from the Citadel when ordered by Ambassador Udina and the Citadel Council to remain grounded. But... she was trying to save the galaxy. And she did.
LIBEL/SLANDER: Technically in-game for comedy purposes... but she accused an asari shopkeep of discrimination for a discount. Look, she pays an assload of credits for her gear, she deserves the damn discount.
LYING TO LAW ENFORCEMENT: Well, technically it was none of Parasini's business that she killed the ERCS guards that were being paid under the table by Anoleis... it's classified Spectre business. Noveria Internal Affairs didn't need to know...
CREATION OF A WEAPON: She did help a salarian Special Tasks Group team create a giant bomb out of their drive core. In fact, she helped deliver the payload to the center of Saren's cloning facility. For the sake of blowing it up. And you could argue finalizing the course of flying a giant asteroid into a mass relay also counts, given it wiped out an entire star system. (She was trying to stop the Reapers, okay? And she did... again.)
DESTRUCTION OF EVIDENCE: Keiji Okuda's greybox held information that would have put the Systems Alliance at risk legally. So... she destroyed it. It was not information that she wanted to fall into the wrong hands.
ASSASSINATION: Probably too many instances of this to count. Although, whether it's assassination or murder is... a grey area. I guess you could argue she assassinated Udina...... who was staging a coup to take over the Citadel on behalf of Cerberus, who were known terrorists.
HACKING CRIMES: She's hacked doors, she also followed a money-laundering AI across the Citadel and shut it down... just too many of these to list.
THREATEN: She did threaten to blow Fist's "lying head off"... got pretty aggressive in an interrogation helping Thane stop his son assassinating a racist politician... Sometimes people listen better when you light a fire under their ass, okay?
Yeah, there's a reason law enforcement hates Spectres... because despite all of these crimes, they were all, technically, under legal pretense a la her Spectre authority.

2. GST Compliance and Return Filing
Compliance under GST is rigorous, requiring regular return filings and adherence to various procedural norms. Advanced compliance includes:
Annual Return (GSTR-9) and Reconciliation Statement (GSTR-9C): Detailed understanding of these annual returns, the need for reconciliation, and the process of auditing the GST returns.
E-invoicing and E-way Bills: Staying updated with the latest requirements for e-invoicing, which mandates the generation of electronic invoices for B2B transactions, and the rules for e-way bills for the movement of goods.
Payment of Tax and Interest Calculations: Accurate calculation and timely payment of GST, along with understanding the implications of late payments and interest calculations.
3. Recent Amendments and Legal Updates
GST laws are dynamic, with frequent amendments and legal updates. Keeping abreast of these changes is vital:
Notification and Circulars: Regularly reviewing notifications and circulars issued by the GST Council and CBIC (Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs) to stay informed about changes in tax rates, compliance procedures, and clarifications on various provisions.
Landmark Judgments: Understanding the impact of key judicial pronouncements on GST law and practice, which can affect interpretations and applications of the law.
4. GST on Specific Sectors
Different sectors have unique GST implications. Advanced knowledge includes:
E-commerce Operators: Comprehending the GST provisions specific to e-commerce, such as Tax Collected at Source (TCS), place of supply rules, and compliance requirements.
Real Estate: Understanding the taxability of real estate transactions, including the reverse charge mechanism, the treatment of works contracts, and the impact of GST on affordable housing.
Export and Import: Detailed knowledge of zero-rated supplies, the refund process for exporters, and the implications of IGST (Integrated GST) on imports and exports.
5. Audit and Assessment Procedures
Advanced GST practice involves a thorough grasp of audit and assessment procedures:
Departmental Audits: Preparing for audits conducted by tax authorities, understanding the scope and requirements, and maintaining proper documentation.
Self-Audit and Internal Controls: Implementing internal controls and conducting regular self-audits to ensure compliance and identify potential issues before they are flagged by authorities.
Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Navigating the dispute resolution process, from responding to show-cause notices to filing appeals and representing before appellate authorities.
Conclusion
Elevating your GST knowledge to advanced levels can significantly benefit your professional journey. Whether you are a tax consultant, accountant, or business owner, understanding the intricacies of advanced GST topics will help you ensure compliance, optimize tax benefits, and stay ahead in a competitive environment. Cryptocurrency Regulations Around the World
Tumblr media
Various governments, including those in the United States, China, and other regions, struggle to regulate the rapidly expanding cryptocurrency market. This thorough guide can help us better understand how various countries address the complicated world of digital currencies by navigating their present regulatory frameworks and developments.
Understanding the regulatory environment is essential for anyone keen to study bitcoin trading and advance to the cryptocurrency expert or advisor position. Blockchain Council's cryptocurrency trading courses shine like a beacon, providing unmatched insights into digital assets and cryptocurrency trading as the need for knowledge in this industry rises.
United States
The United States, a prominent actor in the bitcoin market, has recently seen considerable regulatory changes. In 2022, a new framework that opened the door to more stringent regulation surfaced. Market authorities like the CFTC and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) have acquired power in this changing environment.
Under Chairman Gary Gensler's direction, the SEC has moved aggressively toward regulation, as seen by the well-known legal action brought against Ripple. Gensler has highlighted the importance of safeguarding investors, characterizing the cryptocurrency markets as "a Wild West." The White House has also stated that it intends to deal with illicit cryptocurrency activity. It considers changing current laws and assessing the dangers of decentralized finance and non-fungible coins.
With the Biden administration acknowledging "significant benefits" in investigating a central bank digital currency (CBDC), the possibility of a digital dollar appears to be approaching. Chairman of the Federal Reserve Jerome Powell views a CBDC as a way to prevent the nation from using alternative currency.
China
For inheritance purposes, bitcoins are categorized as property in China. The People's Bank of China (PBOC) has banned Bitcoin mining and cryptocurrency exchanges due to worries about government funding and regulatory permission. Despite these constraints, China has been busily creating its digital yuan (e-CNY), and in 2022, it will formally launch the next stage of its CBDC pilot test program.
Canada
Canada proactively approaches cryptocurrency legislation. Even though they're not regarded as legal money, cryptocurrencies are liable to capital gains tax. The first Bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) was authorized nationwide, and cryptocurrency trading platforms must register with regulatory bodies. As money service enterprises, all cryptocurrency investment firms must register with Canada's Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre (FINTRAC).
United Kingdom
Trading cryptocurrencies are considered property in the UK, and exchanges must register with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). After the British Parliament's lower house recognized cryptocurrencies as regulated financial instruments and expanded the scope of existing legislation to include stablecoins, the regulatory environment became even more apparent.
Japan
Japan is progressive, recognizing cryptocurrency as legitimate property through the Payment Services Act (PSA). Cryptocurrency exchanges are required for anti-money laundering (AML), countering the financing of terrorism (CFT) regulations, and registering with the Financial Services Agency (FSA). The nation has been actively addressing regulatory issues, including taxation, and treats profits from cryptocurrency trading as supplemental income.
Australia
Australia taxes capital gains on cryptocurrencies because it considers them legal property. Exchanges must adhere to AML/CTF regulations and register with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC). Prohibited trading of private coins and imposed restrictions on initial coin offerings (ICOs).
Singapore
Similar to the UK, Singapore considers cryptocurrencies to be property. Exchanges are licensed and governed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) by the Payment Services Act (PSA). Because long-term capital gains are tax-free, Singapore is an excellent place for cryptocurrency-related business.
Korea
Exchanges of cryptocurrencies and suppliers of virtual asset services in South Korea must register with the Korea Financial Intelligence Unit (KFIU). The nation imposed a 20% tax on digital assets; it was initially scheduled to go into effect in 2022 but was postponed until 2025. A law known as the Digital Asset Basic Act is being worked on to control the learn crypto trading industry.
India
India's regulations regarding cryptocurrency still need to be clarified. Although a measure to prohibit private cryptocurrency is being circulated, it has yet to be approved. India levies a 1% tax deduction at source (TDS) on cryptocurrency trades and a 30% tax on cryptocurrency investments. In late 2022, the nation started a test program using tokenized rupees.
Brazil
Although Brazil has not declared Bitcoin legal cash, it did enact legislation acknowledging cryptocurrencies as legitimate means of payment. The regulatory framework, the "Legal Framework for Virtual Assets," assigns responsibility for overseeing cryptocurrency exchanges to the Brazilian Central Bank.
European Union
Most of the European Union allows cryptocurrency, while the individual member states govern exchanges. Taxation varies by country, ranging from 0% to 50%. New regulations like the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) seek to strengthen consumer safeguards and implement licensing specifications.
Current Worldwide Developments
Around the world, laws are still being developed as the bitcoin business develops. Many nations are working hard to create rules and regulations to deal with the particular difficulties that come with virtual currencies. Crypto exchanges are subject to restrictions in the United States, and legislation requiring crypto service providers to obtain an operating license will soon be introduced in the European Union. Regulating cryptocurrency is happening, but it's still complex and contentious.
In summary
Finally, crypto advisor classes are essential for individuals keen to learn about cryptocurrency trading, as cryptocurrencies require a detailed grasp of regulatory nuances. People who want to become cryptocurrency specialists or consultants must keep up with the latest developments as governments worldwide try to find a balance between regulation and innovation.

Consolidated Fruit Auction Company Building (Cleveland Whiskey Co.)
601 Stone's Levee Rd.
Cleveland, OH
The Consolidated Fruit Auction Company Building is located at 601 Stone's Levee Rd. in Cleveland, Ohio.  The structure was built in 1911 with additions built in 1915 and 1922. William E. Bigalow had founded his fruit company in 1891 and adopted the wholesale auction method that was popular in the 1910s and 1920s. Consolidated Fruit Auction Co., the dominant vendor for selling fruit in Cleveland at the time, used the building until 1929, when it shifted operations to the Northern Ohio Food Terminal. The building sits on 80 acres along Stones Levee Road on the east bank of the Cuyahoga River below the Lorain-Carnegie Bridge.
In February of 2021, the Cleveland City Council approved landmark status to help give the century-old fruit auction house new life and become a 25,000-square-foot distillery for Cleveland Whiskey Co. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 17, 2021. It also will be home to a restaurant and bar.  Cleveland Whiskey’s plan is to apply for tax credits to maintain the historic look of the building and help pay for renovations. The project is expected to cost about $20 million. The company had outgrown its present headquarters on East 25th Street near the Inner Belt. The move would allow the company to double its annual production. The company produces about 85,000 bottles of whiskey annually in 10 different varieties.

Introduction: In today's fast-paced world, finding reliable childcare services is a necessity for many families. Whether you're a working parent, a single parent, or simply in need of some extra support, the childcare options available in the UK can be both diverse and overwhelming. This guide aims to provide a comprehensive overview of childcare services in the UK, helping parents navigate their choices with confidence and clarity.
1. Types of Childcare Services: a. Nursery Schools: These are often run by local authorities, private businesses, or voluntary groups, providing care and education for children aged 0 to 5. b. Childminders: Registered individuals who care for children in their own homes, offering a more personalized and flexible approach. c. Preschools/Playgroups: Typically offering part-time care and education for children aged 2 to 5, focusing on early learning through play. d. Day Nurseries: Private or public establishments providing full-day care for children from infancy to school age. e. Tumblr media
2. Finding Childcare: a. Local Authority Services: Many local councils provide information and support for finding childcare, including directories of registered providers. b. Online Platforms: Websites and apps such as Childcare.co.uk and Care.com allow parents to search for childcare providers in their area and read reviews from other parents. c. Recommendations: Asking friends, family, and other parents for recommendations can be a valuable way to find trusted childcare providers. d. Visiting Providers: Once you've narrowed down your options, visiting potential childcare providers in person allows you to assess the environment, meet the staff, and ask questions about their policies and practices.
3. Understanding Regulations and Standards: a. Ofsted: The Office for Standards in Education, Children's Services and Skills regulates and inspects childcare providers in England, ensuring they meet statutory requirements and maintain quality standards. b. Registration and Inspection: Childcare providers must register with Ofsted (or equivalent bodies in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland) and undergo regular inspections to assess their compliance with legal requirements and standards of care. c. Qualifications and Training: Staff working in childcare settings are required to have relevant qualifications and training to ensure they can provide safe and effective care for children.
4. Financial Support: a. Childcare Vouchers: Some employers offer childcare voucher schemes, allowing parents to pay for Childcare Services in UK out of their pre-tax income. b. Tax-Free Childcare: A government scheme that provides financial support for childcare costs, offering eligible families up to 20% off childcare expenses. c. Universal Credit: Families on low incomes may be eligible for help with childcare costs through Universal Credit.
Tumblr media
5. Making Informed Decisions: a. Consider Your Child's Needs: Think about your child's age, personality, and any specific needs they may have when choosing a childcare provider. b. Visit and Ask Questions: Take the time to visit potential childcare providers, observe the environment, and ask questions about their approach to childcare, daily routines, and staff qualifications. c. Trust Your Instincts: Ultimately, trust your instincts when making a decision about childcare. If something doesn't feel right, keep looking until you find a provider that meets your needs and feels like the right fit for your family.
Conclusion: Finding the right childcare services for your family can feel like a daunting task, but with the right information and resources, it's possible to make informed decisions that meet your child's needs and give you peace of mind. By understanding the different types of childcare available, researching providers, and considering factors such as regulations, standards, and financial support options, parents in the UK can navigate the childcare landscape with confidence.

What’s the Best Way to Ship Packages to the GCC from USA?
With the rise of e-commerce and global trade, shipping products from one country to another has become a routine task for individuals and businesses. However, when it comes to shipping products from the United States to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, there are several factors to consider ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Tumblr media
The GCC, consisting of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, represents a lucrative market for businesses looking to expand their operations. It also a vast internet and fashion savvy population wanting to adopt fashion trends and latest products launched in the United States. However, navigating the logistics of international shipping products from USA to the GCC / UAE can be challenging due to various regulations, customs procedures, and logistical complexities.
So, what's the best way to ship products and packages from the USA to the GCC? Let's explore some key considerations:
1. Understand Customs Regulations: Each GCC country has its own set of customs regulations and import duties. It's crucial to research and understand these regulations before shipping your products. Working with a customs broker or freight forwarder who has expertise in shipping to the GCC can help ensure compliance and smooth clearance of your goods.
2. Choose the Right Shipping Method: When shipping products to the GCC, you have several options, including air freight, sea freight, and courier services. The choice of shipping method depends on factors such as the size and weight of your products, urgency, and budget. While air freight is faster, it can be more expensive compared to sea freight. However, sea freight is more economical for large shipments but takes longer to reach its destination. Consider your specific requirements and constraints to determine the most suitable shipping method for your needs.
3. Packaging and Labeling: Proper packaging and labeling are essential when shipping products internationally. Make sure your products are securely packed to withstand the rigors of transit and comply with international shipping standards. Additionally, ensure that your packages are accurately labeled with the recipient's address, contact information, and any required customs documentation to avoid delays in customs clearance.
4. Work with Reliable Carriers and Logistics Partners: Partnering with reliable carriers and logistics providers can streamline the shipping process and ensure timely delivery of your products. Look for carriers with experience in shipping to the GCC region and a strong track record of reliability and customer service. Consider factors such as transit times, shipping costs, and additional services offered when selecting a carrier or logistics partner.
5. Utilize Technology and Tracking: In today's digital age, technology plays a crucial role in international shipping from the US to UAE and GCC. Utilize shipping software and platforms that offer real-time tracking and visibility into your shipments. This allows you to monitor the status of your shipments, anticipate any delays, and provide timely updates to your customers. Tracking also provides peace of mind to both you and your customers, ensuring transparency throughout the shipping process.
6.Consider Customs Clearance Services: Dealing with customs clearance can be a complex and time-consuming process, especially when shipping internationally. Consider outsourcing customs clearance to a third-party provider or working with a freight forwarder who offers customs brokerage services. These experts can handle all aspects of customs clearance on your behalf, ensuring compliance with regulations and expedited clearance of your goods.
7. Factor in Duties and Taxes: Import duties, taxes, and other fees can significantly impact the overall cost of shipping to the GCC. It's important to factor in these costs when calculating your shipping expenses and pricing your products for the GCC market. Work closely with your customs broker or freight forwarder to accurately estimate duties and taxes and explore any available exemptions or preferential trade agreements that may lower your shipping costs.
In Conclusion
International shipping from the USA to the UAE / GCC requires careful planning, attention to detail, and collaboration with experienced partners. By understanding customs regulations, choosing the right shipping method, properly packaging and labeling your products, working with reliable carriers and logistics partners, utilizing technology for tracking, considering customs clearance services, and factoring in duties and taxes, you can navigate the logistics of international shipping and ensure a seamless experience for your business and customers.
