HEEEEEEEYYYY I FOUND A NEW SONG ARTIST!!!
or well... new as in made songs in 2023 as far as I'm aware.
Am I obsessed? Without a doubt.
So, if you're a fan of Cosmo Sheldrake and The Crane Wives (and/or funky tunes that itch your brain mixed with beautiful singing), give Rabbitology a listen!
My favorite song by them atm (it itches my brain nicely):
Their lyrics also remind me of The Amazing Devil but only because of how the words are strung together. It's a mix of beauty, metaphors (I assume), and 'slang' that anyone would use. Rabbitology only has 3 songs out at the moment but I am ABSOLUTELY a fan and excited to see what else they put out!! Maybe I'll scream about it on here when they do 😇

Whats midnight burger? My interest is piqued
LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MIDNIGHT BURGER!!
It’s a podcast about a dimension+space+time hopping diner that ends up at a new place in the cosmos every day, with the crew at the diner just. Having to deal with whatever the universe throws at them during the shift, be it helping out whoever wanders in, or dealing with weird alien/robot/human/space fascist threats (usually it’s both)
So here are three reasons why I love this show
Really fun sci fi writing!! Ofc there’s the typical space capitalism theme that’s explored in about every other sci fi podcast, but beyond that? the story tackles concepts like 4th dimensions! Black holes! Dyson spheres! How consciousness forms! Theories of evolution! I just love when shows go harder into the science part of sci fi, and on that midnight burger delivers
THE CHARACTERS!!! Our main casts consists of a space adventurer cook (the gadget guy of the group with A Lot going on in his backstory), a genius theoretical physicist (the brain), the waitress running the show (the newest member of the diner crew, her special power is she’s the only one who actually worked F&B before), a sentient old timey radio (taking the form of a married couple who I love with all my heart), and some guy named Caspar (the straight man amidst the chaos of everything). It’s such a well balanced cast of characters played be really talented voice actors, they all bounce off each other perfectly, they’re each so well-written and affect the plot in unique ways, with the writers unfurling bits and pieces of their backstories in a way that’s really compelling!!! 100/10 all around!! (On a side note, you know the writers care about these characters when literally the season finale is just 1 hours worth of conversaifons and resolving character arcs)
The themes - won’t go into it too deep bc spoilers but if you like stories that explore what it means to be human, our connections with others, finding purpose in an uncaring universe, you know, the good shit, this show has all that and more <3
So yeah!! Id highly recommend midnight burger - amazing characters, fun story concepts that teach you a thing or two about science and history, and a compelling emotional core. It’s such an underrated show fr
(Oh, and have I mentioned yet that it’s funny as hell?)
There’s only 20 episodes out rn, and s3 is coming soon, so now is the perfect time to catch up and give it some love!!!

if you're struggling with output as an artist, here's my two cents
I've been making music my whole life and I've seen people come and go. I've seen great artists fall from grace and slip into the street life, addiction, or worse yet, corporate America. I've met the worst people you could imagine who have dedicated fanbases that would make your blood boil. I've seen the most untalented hacks wow crowds of 1000 people with confidence and grace. I've seen the most humble and brilliant artists, after the most life changing gig, go home to a bridge underpass.
Success isn't real. That homeless bass player (he's not actually homeless anymore) is one of the most talented individuals I ever met. Any chance he got to play, he took it, because that's all hes ever known. He never once let his self, and his sense of self, distract him from the music.
The artists' pride is so amazing, because it drives us but it hinders us. Have you ever gotten a commission and totally bombed?? You send back the work you painstakingly worked on, slightly furious that the prompt you got wasn't enough to go off of, only to get back a quick "sorry, not what we're looking for. can you do it like THIS?" and the example they send back is the most beautiful thing you've ever seen in your life? Our pride, when they send that commission back, that says, oh, you've been doing this thing your whole life (that's what you told the client!) and they think I suck. What did I do all this for?
It's the mark of a good artist to seize a moment in time and reflect a culture back at itself. It's an entirely other beast to seize a moment in time and encourage that culture forward. It's a whole nother beast to be an artist constantly on the move, to be the puzzle piece that fits into ANY and EVERY situation an artist could be called for. That's what digital art affords us: the ability to do pseudo oil paint, or photorealism, or cartoon, or corporate graphic design. The ability to do hip hop, edm, rock, jazz and cinematic classical all in one software. So suddenly your quality is only as good as your ability to do things you've never done as well as people that that's all that they know. The working artist goes unnamed and forgotten because they spend their time amassing talent with an undying fascination and curiosity, solely for the chance to use their talent for somebody else. Style works for rock stars, but in this gig economy that rockstar's style suddenly becomes one piece of the puzzle if I want to call myself true to the craft.
This is where ego destroys the artist, and its where I caution you. Make art for the sake of itself. That time spent studying and mastering your craft, the craft that ONLY you can do, that's a gift in and of itself. You're the only person who has your finger print. The cosmos' chaotic order has blessed you with this one life, and with it you can reflect back to Her what she's blessed you with. You'll never sound like the Beatles, only you trying to sound like the Beatles. You'll never look like, I dunno, your favorite art blogger, only you trying to look like your favorite art blogger.
Believe in what you do, and do it because it's who you are. Chase gigs that put you out of your comfort zone, and fail forward when it doesn't work out.
peace 🙏

Now that the plot of Dark Wing has picked up the pace, it's hard for me not to keep up with the monthly releases. So I figured I might as well post some translated scripts here. Let me know if this interests you. (I'll still release the edited pages once the volume is out, just like before.)
Saint Seiya: Dark Wing Chapter 24: The Golden Scorpion Princess
Page 1
Page 2
Soujiro: - All right, listen up, Eulalia, Vassilios. - For this undercover mission, our top priority is to not stand out. - Even here, at this academy, where there are a lot of people with a talent for cosmo, - if you stand out even a little, it's not just our target who will become suspicious, - but also the students.
Gemini Gold Saint, Soujiro
Eulalia: - Hmph! - Just leave it to me, Soujiro. - I, Scorpio Eulalia, - will thoroughly keep a low profile!
Scorpio Gold Saint, Eulalia
Vassilios: - So this is what a Japanese school looks like, huh?… ♪
Soujiro: - (I'm worried…)
Page 3
Teacher: - Today, we have a new student—
Eulalia: - My name is Eulalia! - Nice to meet you all!! - Not so fast! - Victory is mine!!
Students: - Eulalia, you're amazing! - In your studies, at sports, even your bearing… - You're great at everything!
Eulalia: - I am, aren't I? - I'm awesome! - Hahahahah!
Page 4
Students: - Wow! - So cool!
Soujiro: - (No… you stand out too much. But…?!)
Students: - Vassilios, are you free after school today? - How about we all go to a karaoke?
Leo Gold Saint, Vassilios
Vassilios: - Hahahah! Sure! - How about a Japanese anime song themed karaoke?
Students: - Kyah! - Going to an anime-themed karaoke with a hottie sounds great!! (girls) - Kyah!! Kyah!! (boys) - *teeth clenching*
Soujiro: - (He's super popular too!) - (I told them not to draw attention…)
Page 5
Soujiro: - (Should we switch tactics,) - (and intentionally stand out to lure out our enemy?…) - (It looks like it's female students who are disappearing,) - (so if Eulalia acts as bait,) - (we might be able to find out how they're being kidnapped…) - Hmm… - (Sho is colleagues with a lot of girls.) - (It would be easier if we could work together…)
Shoichiro: - (I want a male friend…)
???: - Hey, Soujiro. - What's on your mind?
Page 6
Soujiro: - ! - Charlotte?!
Celestial Spirit Star, Necromancer Charlotte
Soujiro: - So you're okay!
Charlotte: - I died, but - I woke up again in the Underworld.
Soujiro: - (The immortality of the specters…) - (So it's true that Hades's cosmo can resurrect them…)
Charlotte: - They have no intention to hide their cosmo…
Page 7
Charlotte: - Those two are gold saints, aren't they?
Soujiro: - I knew you'd figure it out… - I told them to lay low, but…
Charlotte: - Hehe… - That's not an easy thing to do. - Just look at them. - They're superb.
Soujiro: - Yeah… - (You stand out too…)
Charlotte: - ?
Page 8
Soujiro: - By the way, - did the specters come here - to investigate the incidents at this school too?
Charlotte: - That's right. - People have already been hurt. - Yoruhime and I would like to know what you think about it, Soujiro. - It would be helpful if we could talk, but… - …can those two be trusted?
Page 9
Soujiro: - I trust them… - But Demiurgos… - It's still not clear who his hidden assassins are. - Those two come from families with a long lineage of saints. - Their backgrounds are impeccable, but…
Charlotte: - Soujiro, - you believe in them, don't you?
Soujiro: - *nod* - (Yes.) - (I trust them.) - (But…)
Page 10
Soujiro: - (What if…) - (…they're Demiurgos's agents?) - (Could I…) - (…take them in a fight…?)
Page 11
Eulalia: - Sigh… - It was impossible - to check out all the club activities… - It's a classic in Japanese school stories. - I was looking forward to joining some clubs, but… - Soujiro left to have a secret meeting with an ally, - and Vassilios wandered off somewhere. - Hmm…
Page 12
Eulalia: - Piano music…? - It's delicate and gentle… - What a beautiful sound! - Ah! - It… - It might be a trap from the enemy. - I should take a closer look!

We have a new citizen in Mount Phoenix:
Brigid, the Celtic Goddess of Poetry, Healing, and Smithcraft.            She is a freelancer.
FC NAME/GROUP: Lee Sunmi GOD NAME: Brigid PANTHEON:  Celtic OCCUPATION: Freelancer HEIGHT:  166 cm WEIGHT: 43kg DEFINING FEATURES: wild long hair is bright as the sun, freckles painted across her bridge of her nose
PERSONALITY: A bright young woman filled to the brim of compassion and love for others yet constantly worrying about the decisions then find herself various distractions.  Always full of energy trying to put on smiles on others faces even when she feels sad she always manage to force a smile just to make sure the others don’t worry about her. Forever a busy bee, she must pack her planner to the brim not wanting to waste any time, enjoying life to full from writing sonnets while drinking her favorite tea to dancing the night away with good friends. heed this fair warning, she does have bit of temper and she will kick your ass if she push her too much, Saint Brigid will bring her fury.
HISTORY: The God Dagda gave birth to a child named Brigit, when Brigid was born she had flames shooting out from her head, and through them, she was united with the cosmos. As a baby, Brigid drank the milk of a sacred cow that came from the spirit world. Thus making her the half sister of Cermait, Aengus, Midir and Bodb Derg.
Worshippers sometimes call Brigid the “Triple Goddess” for her fires of the hearth, inspiration, and the forge. She is a powerful being and through her fires, she is the patroness of healing arts, fertility, poetry, music, prophecy, agriculture, and smith-craft. Brigid adored her worshippers, she always found herself walking among them giving them all she had and helping them. Due to her compassionate nature, the story about Saint Brigit was born being only one of the pagan gods to be converted into christian story. It was sad that people were turned away from the celtic gods & goddesses yet her story managed to endure the test of time.
There was a time when she was married to Bres, he was the king of the Tuatha Dé Danann, He was an unpopular king, and favored his Fomorian kin ( Their traditional rivals are the Fomorians who seem to represent the harmful or destructive powers of nature ). Their marriage was to build relations between the Tuatha Dé Danann & Fomorian, she was blinded by the love for him as Bres is beautiful to behold, yet harsh and inhospitable and their child Ruadan who was later was slain while fighting for the Fomorians while trying to assassinate Goibniu. Bríg invents keening, a combination of weeping and singing, while mourning for her son. She truly hates war of any kind it always brings her so much pain and sorrow due to being a mother once before then losing a son.
The goddess vowed never to raise another child again and let them be raised by their human parents instead as she would rather not mourn over another one of her children’s death once again. Like every other deity they would let demi-gods blossom by themselves or human father praying that they are kind to them. It quickly came to Brigid’s attention that she should live her life the way she wanted it, she leaned into what she enjoys becoming carefree as buried down about mistakes in the past and doing things for herself for once.
Now the goddess with bright orange wild hair tends to wander around Mount Phoenix doing whatever she feels like, as a freelancer she ends up doing odd jobs at her own leisure. There are various skills she can offer to lend a helping hand, from fixing broken objects to some self defense classes. Brigid does like to volunteer at the Asclepius General offering kind supportive words to the patients there. Maybe in Mount Phoenix she can finally be at peace, not worry about politics or war.
POWERS: doesn’t really have super amazing abilities like other goddesses yet she is very skilled metal worker which is great being diy person. She is natural talent in medicine to patch up any injures which the workers may have while building since it is dangerous job. brigid is natural poet who loves the arts & very creative soul she tends have the ability to talk her way out of anything, mostly anything. finally, she is well-verse in martial arts she knows how to take someone down without batting eyelid never underestimate her or you could end up regretting it.
STRENGTHS:
( + ) physical strong
( + ) diy master
( + ) silver-tongued
WEAKNESSES:
( - ) guilty conscience, holds a lot of guilt & tough on herself
( - ) only sees the good in people, not the bad.
( - ) unable heal others by touch yet by knowledge about herbs & medicine

Hello! I've been interested in vedic astrology since some time. I have been into tropical one and it was somewhat accurate. But i wanna know about what vedic placements say about me. Can you please talk about my placements? Because I'm unable to understand them really.
From what I learnt in nakshatras here are my placements:
Ashlesha sun (I'm actually a Leo sun in tropical astrology and that suits me well, I wonder how this placement turns out to be)
Swati moon (scorpio moon in tropical)
Hasta rising (libra rising)
Ashwini mars (pisces mars)
Uttara phalguni venus (leo venus)
Purva phalguni Mercury (virgo Mercury)
I'm sorry i'm quite confused that's why I wrote the tropical placements too 😅 Also i saw your blog you follow loa. It's quite fascinating. I had been wondering how to use astrology for my desires. Aslo, it's alright if you don't feel like answering, no pressure. Thank you so much. 💖
Hii. Apologies on the late response.
I'm going to touch on the most important placements I see.
Ashlesha is a Mercury ruled nakshatra. It is symbolized by a Naga/coiled serpent. Ashleshas tend to look like snakes.
(Ashlesha Asc Alexa Demie)
Tumblr media
They hate superficiality and are all about preservation. They're very similar to Uttara Bhadrapada, both symbolized by the Nagas which maintain the cosmos. (Ashlesha - ground Naga. Uttara Bhadrapada - water Naga). I bet you're elusive.
Swati is ruled by the deity Vayu, the God Of Wind. And the nakshatra is in an air sign already. Which can indicate that you stay in your head too much. Also, it has a combination of Venus and Rahu. Rahu creates illusions and amazing realities. You might be driven by your imagination. Very artistically driven and can share amazing projects to the world. Also, question, have you been stalked?? Or the stalker? 💀 (just wanna see something)
Hasta Ascendant omggg and I just posted my moon nakshatra part 2 post today. But Hasta women are different. Since Hasta is symbolized by the hand and the word Hasta literally translate to that word, I must ask if you're crafty with your hands? Or, you must have amazing hands.
Hasta is ruled by the Sun God, Savitur. So you're very solar by nature and you may find yourself a lot of admirers or people who are curious to learn from you. Hasta is in the Virgo rashi, so I can clearly assume intellect, the need to master what you put your mind to or just curious about. You shift through interests but this makes you very knowledgeable in a lot of things. Hasta being co-ruled by the Moon can give you a mystical presence. You're probably quite feminine and reserved.
Mercury is your Chart Ruler and it is in Purva Phalguni which is Leo. Purva Phalguni is co-ruled by Venus. Again, I'm sensing creative talents here. Leo, which is ruled by the Sun, shows you're unashamedly yourself. Your Chart Ruler being conjuct your Venus, my goddd you couldn't be any more Venusian maaaaa'am. 👀
Purva Phalguni literally means place of peace/calmness. And the nakshatra is ruled by the diety Bhaga, who gives you the goods in life. Prosperity, abundance, peace, marriage, love etc. He was blinded by the Creator which gives a lesson to natives of nakshatras to enjoy life or make something of themselves and leave what's unimportant behind.
And yesss I'm definitely an LOA follower although I don't reblog much of that content anymore. I'm just silently manifesting and purifying myself ☕
Vedic Astrology is fun to study but I disregard whatever doesn't fit. How I use Astrology post the law of assumption discovery, is that I use my chart to confirm to my inner standards of how I want my reality to be. I'm like oooh I got exalted Venus yass that means I'm the baddest bitch everr etc. There is no "bad placement" in my chart. I've learned to make my own interpretations because I can only be the creator and interpreter of my own damn reality and no one else.

Tumblr media
AREEUUGGFHFH he has had a long day and is in NEED of your touch/love and affection!!
Whenever he asks, PLEASE PLEASE let him
If you’re not comfy with physical affection then oh boy!!
Just like when he asks for a kiss, he’ll ask for a cuddle in the dorkiest way ever
Like!!
"I request a hug in bed from my perfect and ethereal significant other, Y/N!"
"…You mean you want to cuddle, SPACE BOYFRIEND?"
"Er.. yes but I prefer calling it hug in bed.." He spoke with a quiet tone as you chuckled.
You nerds call it cuddling? Nah nah,
SPACE BOYFRIEND calls it A HUG IN BED!!!
..Don’t judge him smh!
But if he’s had a hard day, he’ll literally just hug you as he hopefully thinks that you’re thinking of what he’s thinking.
Sometimes, adventures can be pretty tough and tiring, not boredom but like YK!
Sometimes, SWEETHEART sometimes asks him to take her back even SHE broke up with him.
But of course he wouldn’t choose her over you, after what you’ve done for him?
You gave him a sweet and loving relationship that even a girl named SWEETHEART couldn’t give to him.
He LOVES YOU MAN!!!!! And definitely knows how to show it!!!
After a hard long day of a tough adventure in the cosmos with his crew + a wild SWEETHEART tired CAPT. SPACE BOYFRIEND. He so badly wants your love and physical affection.
Thankfully he found you sitting on his bed, because he can let you do that. You’re basically second in command with his crew!!!
He gently gives you a hug from behind, wrapping his arms around your waist, already putting his head on your shoulder, groaning.
You were surprised, but soon realized what this was about, you use one arm to hug his arms wrapped around your waist while using the other to.. gently hold his head.
"Y/N.. my ethereal galaxy, today was super tiring.. perhaps can we—"
"I already know what you’re thinking.. and of course." Immediately after you said that, you fell to the side, landing on his bed. And since he was holding onto you, CAPT. SPACE BOYFRIEND was pulled to you as well.
You turned your whole body around to face him as you both got comfortable. CAPT. SPACE BOYFRIEND was telling you about his day and how much he hated that SWEETHEART wanted him back.
"Don’t get me started on that evil SWEETHEART! I thought she was the lady of my dreams until she dumped so many times! And now that I have a special, amazing, astonishing, OUT OF THIS WORLD partner like you Y/N, she suddenly wants me back?! If only I can throw her across space and let her be trapped there forever!" He ranted about his hate for SWEETHEART as you listened carefully, laughing at his cringy nicknames and how he wanted her in SPACE alone forever.
It felt nice just the two of you, no SPACE PIRATES to interrupt.. Everything felt perfect.
Please never leave him, he loves you a lot and trusts you with his entire now-mended heart of his. Please treat his heart right.

Strange Jendellians
Tumblr media
Tommy Thayer/reader, alien, alien biology, messy blowjobs and handjobs, tentacles, absolute sin.
This was requested by someone on discord who does not have Tumblr. Please enjoy~
┍━━━━━━━ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ━━━━━━━┑
You and the absolute love of your life, Tommy, had been together for months now, and you were both taking things relatively slow. Not that you minded any of course; you preferred it that way, especially since this was your first incredible relationship with someone. For Tommy, you were the first partner he told his deepest secret to. Everything between the two of you was a field of new beginnings and broadened horizons. Especially now, after some of the best steak dinner you've ever been fed! Your boyfriend had a natural talent for cooking, but also, it appeared, a natural talent for kissing. He had you pulled closer to him on the loveseat, lips colliding with yours, strong hands resting on your waist. Your fingers worked each button on his shirt open. A smirk graced your lips before you pulled away, hands sliding up his sides to his chest, thumbs rolling around his nipples.
"Tommy, baby, let me see how pretty you are, you don't have to hide."
He bit his lower lip, letting the visual field disappear and instead reveal the gorgeous dark, blue eyes he had, accompanied by paler skin with a silvery sheen, ears that were pointed outwards, and longer canines poking out with each soft breath he let out. Tommy wasn't normal, at least not for a human. He was from some strange, far-off planet he called 'Jendell.' Supposedly, it was close enough that you could see it through a telescope, but could be easily mistaken for a star. Jendellians were very different from humans on Earth, they were more technically and biologically advanced, had managed to harness water for themselves, and were capable of creating food packed with nutrients and sugar to keep themselves easily energized and fed. Humans weren't allowed to know about their existence, in fact, it was against every Jendellian rule to make a human aware of them. But Tommy, sweet, lovable Tommy, he loved you more than anything, he trusted you with his life! The secret was out.
You weren't bothered one bit by it. In fact, you were infatuated with the idea. Tommy Thayer was an alien rebel, and out of every being in the cosmos, he was choosing you to cherish and love for as long as he possibly could. You practically purred at the thought, pressing feather-light kisses to the side of his neck, trailing down to his collar bone and chest, licking at one of his budded nipples to test the waters. The jendellian in front of you gasped, seemingly amazed by the sensations you were causing by doing something so simple. You grinned against his skin, sliding off the couch to the carpeted floor between Tommy's legs, reveling in the flushed expression on his face.
"Tommy, darling, look at me please." You cooed out, trying to grab his attention fully.
He licked his lower lip, eyes meeting yours.
"Good boy. Are you okay with me continuing? I don't want to rush you if you're not ready for that yet."
"It's uhm," he started, embarrassed, "It's different, down there I mean,,,"
"That's okay, I don't mind any, you know. I can take my time and be really gentle, okay?"
He gave a nervous smile and nodded.
"G-go ahead."
Your fingers worked swiftly, unzipping his jeans, pulling them down to his ankles alongside his boxers, letting out a breath of wonder and excitement. You weren't expecting the dripping wet slit to appear between his gorgeous thighs, but you were intrigued. You pulled him forward, kissing the area above, your left thumb pushing inside. Tommy let out a noise of content, moving his legs further apart for your ease of access. You leaned closer, licking a stripe up the opening, noting how the other shuddered in delight.
"Wow, you taste really sweet~" you mumbled, lapping up more of the slick that flowed through, letting your tongue explore inside.
Weirdly enough, something else touched the tip of your tongue, squirming around and growing in size. You were delighted, teasing it with lick after lick until it peeked out enough for you to suck on it, watching how your alien boyfriend squirmed in place. You were pleased with the breathy moans and whimpers coming from him just from something as simple as this. Pulling away, you could see two blueish, iridescent tentacles, covered in a thin layer of spit and Tommy's slick. You bit your bottom lip, eagerly taking both tips into your mouth again, noisy slurping filling the room, as well as Tommy's pretty moans. You would do this as long as you could if it meant you could listen to him begging and pleading for more. The tentacles continued to reveal themselves fully, wriggling around in your mouth, only calming down when you used your hand to stroke the rest of the lengths that you couldn't fit down your throat. When you pulled away the second time, a trail of spit connecting your bottom lip to the tentacles following behind, you let out a purr of satisfaction, noting the almost 13 inches that were erect under your fingers.
"You're a mighty big boy~" your eyes flickered up to Tommy's, darkened with lust, pumping his dicks faster.
"Has to- fuck,~ b-be long enough for, for," he paused, bucking his hips up into your hand, "to reach the womb and, and- I can't thiiiink~ Don't stop, please don't.. I can't-!"
You chuckled, running your thumb over the slit at the top of his cocks, quickening your pace more, licking your lips seductively.
"Somebody's gonna come, yeah? Well go ahead, baby, go and come for me, don't hold back.~"
Tommy gripped onto the couch, rocking his hips forward into your hand, soft breaths slipping past his lips before a guttural groan left his throat, and you watched strings of his release spurt out all over your hand and your face. It glowed a cool, neon green color, felt warm and sticky, and, as you licked some of it off your digits suggestively in front of the flustered alien, tasted sugary sweet. It was addictive. You cleaned up your face, taking swipes of his cum with your finger and cleaning it off, moaning at the flavor. The jendellian in front of you was too far gone, coming down from his high, eyes glazed over. You cooed out to him, reaching your hand over to tilt his chin to look at you.
"Tommy, baby~," you started, leaning forward, flattening your tongue against his dicks and cleaning them off.
"I think we need to have a round two."

Good morning!
I hope you're doing fine =)
Your Village by the end of the Worl one of the best stories and thank you for sharing it with us. I hope you will continue on writing this and many more.
What are your inspiration for this? Others Aruani stories, artiret, books, movies?
Hello Anon, good morning to you! It's the hour of demons where I live tho~
Thank you so much for your kind words T_T I'm very touched, and so glad you're enjoying it. It means the world to me.
As for inspiration, oh god I have a ton. First of all, I wasn't writing for a long time before this. To be able to write a fun story with adventurous and heartwarming themes has always been something I wanted to do, but never found the opportunity for. The fact remains that Aruani's ship dynamic helps me achieve this right now, but other than that, there have been a number of things that have inspired me to get to this creation at all, a few of which are:
Studio Ghibli and Makoto Shinkai's movies, with their world building and terrific themes about various aspects of life. Dramatic and cinematically stunning movies like Avatar, and Interstellar. Books/Manga like Tropic of the Sea by Satoshi Kon and Mushishi. Other books like Cosmos by Carl Sagan and Pale Blue Dot (also Carl Sagan). Music, and this is honestly too varied and follows no rhyme or reason, but I will say Marcus Warner's stuff single handedly made all the prequels to VBEOW happen haha xD
As for aruani fics, that's a whole other area, but let me say that @/distortedclouds motivated me to get back into writing at all this time. As for everything that happened after I started, I made wonderful, wonderful writer friends and artist friends along the way (here on Tumblr I mean, like @/annawayne and @/aquietjune, for example) and all of them are so so amazing and inspire me everyday with their writing, headcanons and insight and knowledge and talent.
Thank you once again, and have a great day anon!

'It's all happening for Florence Pugh.
The brilliant actress can be seen in Christopher Nolan's latest box-office hit, Oppenheimer, as the psychiatrist Jean Tatlock. She has starred in films as diverse as Outlaw King, Greta ('Barbie') Gerwig's Little Women (for which she received an Oscar nomination), the Marvel hit, Black Widow, and Don't Worry Darling, opposite Harry Styles. On TV, she has been Cordelia to Anthony Hopkins’s King Lear, and was the lead in BBC One’s hit adaptation of John le Carré's The Little Drummer Girl.
She presented two categories at the 2023 Oscars (her striking Valentino dress prompted Vogue magazine to hail her 'punk princess' look), and she has appeared on the cover of Time magazine, billed as one of its 'Next Generation Leaders'. Her social media series, 'Cooking with Flo', has been a huge hit.
Little wonder that a London-based newspaper can say of her: "In the last couple of years, the actress has become a plain-speaking role model for Gen Zers and is fast becoming the celebrity young women most identify with".
Back in April 2017 the Sunday Herald ran an interview with her, as her then-latest film, Lady Macbeth, was released in the UK. Here it is again.
“SHE was just so different to anything I’d ever read before,” Florence Pugh is saying. “She was just so exciting, and so manipulative, and delicious. I’ve never had a character allow us to love her whilst she does awful things”.
Awful things is an understatement when it comes to Katherine, the anti-heroine whom she plays in a new film, Lady Macbeth. The film has just gone on UK general release, trailing the sort of advance reviews that most film-makers would kill for. Pugh herself has drawn praise from critics who know what they’re talking about.
The film, the debut feature by theatre director William Oldroyd, is based on a 19th century novella, Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk District, by Nikolai Leskov (and despite the title, it’s not about the Shakespeare character).
On screen, the action has been transported to rural Northumberland in 1865. Katherine, 17, having been sold by her father, together with a small piece of land, finds herself in a large, austere country house and, worse, in an arranged marriage to a curt and distant older man, who resolutely declines to make any physical advances to her, even on their wedding night. And her new father-in-law is as harsh as he is unsympathetic. Her future looks bleak, but Katherine is not without resources.
In time, she falls headlong for a groomsman, Sebastian (Cosmo Jarvis), with whom she begins a torrid affair. Gradually, however, she, and the film, take a violent turn as it becomes evident that she will stop at nothing to get what she wants. It says much for the script (by Alice Birch) and for Pugh’s remarkably self-assured performance that, even at the end of the film, having witnessed a fair degree of mayhem, we still can’t bring ourselves to dislike Katherine.
Pugh herself has won acclaim for the role. Declaring that she had announced herself as a major talent, the US entertainment bible Variety praised her for folding Katherine’s contradictions “into one composed, consistent characterisation” and that she “impresses with precocious poise, sensuality and venom”. Given that this is really her first major role, and that she is still only 21, it’s hard to disagree with Variety’s judgement.
Pugh was born and raised in Oxfordshire. At school, in Oxford, she was, by her own admission, no good at chemistry or maths, being much more inclined in the direction of drama and music. She took part in a city arts centre’s productions of such plays as Romeo & Juliet and Blood Wedding, and she was already thinking of a career as an actor when fate intervened in the shape of The Falling, a 2015 film directed by Carol Morley and set in an all-girls' school.
“I nearly didn’t do it,” Pugh says of that film. “I wasn’t going to do it. My brother’s in the industry, and I had been watching him for a couple of years before I had done that audition. I knew how mean the industry was, I knew how cut-throat it was. I knew that you just don’t get auditions like that.
“So obviously, when I saw that ad – to hand in a tape – I didn’t do it, because there was no point, because I wasn’t going to get the part. And then my mum said, well, this is what you want to do at some point. You’re not going to get the role, but we can always just give it a go because you need to start knowing how to do tapes.
“So, on the day of the deadline, I rushed over and we quickly filmed myself talking about my hobbies, who I was, and what it was that I did, and I got a callback the next day, saying the director wanted to meet me at some point. So it was all pretty much fluke, and being in the right place at the right time.”
She subsequently did an audition in person for Morley. After she left the room, Morley thought, oh wow. The casting personnel fell quiet as they weighed up what they had just seen. “Do you not think she’s amazing?” Morley asked. Someone else said it was like a young Kate Winslet walking into the room.
Pugh has a small but central role in The Falling, and if she appeared daunted by working with Maisie (Game of Thrones) Williams, with Maxine Peake and Greta Scacchi, she did not show it. That said, her first day in front of the camera was, she acknowledges, “absolutely terrifying, and I remember feeling sick on the way to work, because I’d done a whole summer’s worth of auditions, and I’d worked so hard to get this role," she says.
“I remember [on that first day], getting in the car and thinking, oh God what if I’m crap? What if all of this is a lie, and I’ve managed to wean myself into this role and I completely muck it up? The first line I had on camera is where me and Maisie are under the tree and I say one line. It’s a very simple line. There was a big crew there … and the camera’s on, and they say ‘action’, and I’m looking up at the tree, and I just completely forget my line. Gone. I remember thinking, you really can't muck this up. Wake up!”
She needn’t have worried. After The Falling, she filmed a pilot, Studio City, for Fox. Most recently, she was seen in ITV’s Marcella, alongside Anna Friel and Laura Carmichael. And last October she was one of 20 talented newcomers to win a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit award.
Casting director Shaheen Baig had cast The Falling and she recommended Pugh to Oldroyd when the search was on for someone to play Katherine. It had to be someone capable of playing an innocent young woman who becomes considerably more cold-hearted. Oldroyd himself had seen The Falling and thought Pugh had been “open and honest”. And straightaway, they knew they’d found their Katherine. Florence, Oldroyd says, “gives an incredibly strong and confident performance”.
And now, after numerous screenings at film festivals, comes the widespread release of Lady Macbeth. “It’s very rare,” Pugh says, “that a script like this lands in my inbox – especially, you know, being given the opportunity to … at the time, I was a still-unknown 19-year-old actress, and that just really doesn’t happen.” It was “such an exciting prospect to try and get under the skin of” someone as manipulative and delicious as Katherine, she adds.
“The most fascinating thing about her is that we still love her until the end. Even if you don’t love her at the end, she still managed to allow you to support her. For a character to try and play, that’s fascinating."
The film also makes you think of the repressive way in which many women were treated back then. “One reason why I believe this character is so brilliant is that she is a modern woman in 1865. This wasn’t the norm, back then: it was totally expected that the woman was bought by her husband, and she was his property, and she would do exactly as he said.
“And of course Katherine – she’s 17 and she has been forced into this marriage – and she says no, which is rare. All of us that know period dramas were not expecting that. We don’t expect to see a modern force in an 1865-period film.”
Lady Macbeth sees Pugh wearing some authentic, striking gowns, but the tightly-laced corsets that Katherine is tied into by her maid Anna (Naomi Ackie) were a key way to understanding her.
Let’s get ready to giggle
“We went up about two weeks before we started shooting, and we had rehearsal time. We would be doing all of these physical scenes, me and Cosmo, and of course the moment I got in a corset, it all changed, because I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t move.
“That was so eye-opening in terms of Katherine and the character, because it meant that she was just as serious about these things as I was, and essentially her happiest times were when she was in a nightie or she was naked or she was in a dressing-gown, because that’s when I was at my happiest.
“There are so many ties that I could pull between me and Katherine because of that corset. It also made me realise how imprisoned these women were in 1865. They were trapped in their own clothes.” The corset, she adds, squashes your internal organs. "It’s designed to do exactly what it does, and that’s to keep a woman quiet.”
Pugh has gone on to shoot three upcoming films. The Commuter is an action thriller with Liam Neeson and Vera Farmiga; in Hush, a Sigma Films and Thruline Entertainment production, filmed in Glasgow and Ayrshire, she and Ben Lloyd-Hughes play two siblings who run a profitable ghostbusting racket. “Florence is a very unique talent, a special British talent on the rise,” says Brian Coffey, co-producer of Hush, “She has a deeply intuitive ability to create characters that draw an audience in. We were thrilled to be able to cast her in Hush.”
The third film is Stephen Merchant’s Fighting With My Family, in which Pugh plays a real-life WWE wrestler called Paige. The cast also includes the substantial presence of The Rock, Dwayne Johnson.
One scene in the film recreates Paige’s wrestling championship victory in a Monday Night RAW event in Los Angeles. Before Pugh stepped out into the ring, she had a brief rehearsal with The Rock. Speaking on Women’s Hour this week she said: “He’s teaching me how to throw a punch and I was stood there, and I remember looking at him, and just this space behind, all the empty seats, and thinking, oh my God, Dwayne 'The Rock’ Johnson just taught me how to punch!”
All in all, it was a marvellous experience, as evidence by Pugh’s Instagram post: “One of the best, most terrifying, most knackering and unbelievably exhilarating shoots I've ever done. #fightingwithmyfamily has wrapped and my god has it been a good run.”
She tells the Sunday Herald that she’s excited about both Hush and The Commuter. "Fighting With My Family was an emotionally and physically draining film, because it was so much fun but also because we were playing those wrestlers," she says. "Jack Lowden played my brother and it was really wonderful. We learned how to wrestle together and we had a lot of fun.”
There’s nothing else in the pipeline at the moment, though. For the time being she is focusing her energies on helping to promote Lady Macbeth – she’s excited to see what people think of it. Afterwards? “I’m going to have a little bit of time off, because I’m knackered. And then I can see what happens to Lady Macbeth, see where it goes.”
I ask her about her favourite films. “I love Leon,” she says, “I love Eternal Sunshine [Of The Spotless Mind]. I tell you what: I bloody love all of Natalie Portman’s stuff." She asks if I’ve seen the film, Chicken. “Oh, you should watch that,” she enthuses. “It’s by a new director called Joe Stephenson and there’s a great actor in it called Scott Chambers, who I worked with on Hush. It’s just absolutely beautiful.”
It’s only once the interview is over that I remember that Florence Pugh has yet another string to her bow. On her Twitter bio she describes herself not just as an actor but also as a singer-songwriter - she plays acoustic guitar, and sings, in a tantalisingly brief scene in The Falling. If for some reason she doesn’t make it as an actor she could, you imagine, always turn to writing and singing songs. But her performance as the manipulative, quietly riveting Katherine in Lady Macbeth suggests that her acting career is already on the firmest of footings.'
THE issue of so-called "posh" actors dominating the profession at the expense of those from less privileged backgrounds crops up frequently. Two weeks ago, Eton-educated Damian Lewis rejected the idea that they dominated acting, but called for greater diversity in the arts.
“I can certainly say that I didn’t have a difficult childhood. I had a really wonderful upbringing,” says Florence Pugh. “Obviously, [the alleged dominance] must be an issue, because it’s coming up, and people are obviously very opinionated about it.
“I haven’t been doing this for very long but of course I’ve been called this and that. And because of the speed with which my career has gone up, people have questioned whether it’s because of where I’ve come from, or where I went to school, or whatever. And I think my main comment towards it is: obviously, it must be frustrating to see people of privilege to go so high, but at the end of the day it’s the same game to get into this industry.
“It is just as hard, and everyone’s stories, left or right, have their own challenges in it. It is not easy to win over the public, to win over the critics. And yes, essentially, you could get in the news a lot if you’re privileged, if you have money, but it’s what you do with that afterwards. If people continue to watch your work, then surely that’s down to your talent.
“If they don’t, then you can call them out on it. But because this industry is so difficult, to stay in and to get there, I don’t think anybody should be accused of how they got there – unless they haven’t proved their point.”'

Sevilla Activities:
I highly recommend not missing out on the inexpensive tapas restaurants (cheaper than cafeterias), however here are some places in Sevilla that deserved 5 stars.
1: Taller Andaluz de Cocina: Clase de Paella The instructor will take you through all the steps making the classic Spanish dish and then you can eat it! The experience is so worth it and talking to the native chefs helps connect more with the culture. Prices for class vary with group ---> Click the link below for more information. https://tallerandaluzdecocina.com/content/contacto Location: Triana Food Market. Stalls 75-77. Plaza del Altozano s/n. 41010. Sevilla.
2. El Torero Bar Between the ambience, drinks, & bartenders, this bar is ranked so high on my Sevilla must do's. The drinks are affordable and the talented and kind bartenders craft amazing Mojitos, Moscow mules, Negroni's, and Cosmo's. If you get the chance, try the beer popular to Sevilla--Cruzcampo. Location: C. Argote de Molina, 23, 41004 Sevilla, Spain
3. Jester: Coffee + Juices Sometimes you just need something tasty, nutritious and refreshing. The açaí bowls were so yummy and filling. I paired the bowl with an iced latte, which is very rare in Spain, but I assure you they have everything. From pastries, to bowls, coffee and juices. Location: Calle puerta de la carne 7, Seville, Spain
4. El Perro Viejo Best for last...This restaurant can be tricky to get into without a reservation (although I never had an issue). I would call and reserve a table either inside where you can enjoy the beautiful, cool ambience. Or outside where you can enjoy the sight of nightlife and Spanish architecture. Its located in the center of nightlife in Sevilla and has an extensive menu. My recommendations would be the patatas bravas, the tacos, el arroz con pato (rice w/ duck), and white wine (Novio perfecto). Reserve a table: +34 955 44 00 30 Location: C. Arguijo, 3, 41003 Sevilla, Spain

April 22nd, 2024.
I’ve never considered myself to be a very guarded person. Typically, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I’m not sure if I show my emotions on my face - or, I don’t know, nobody’s ever told me - but I’m not afraid to let myself care too much.
I once read this phrase - I am in the habit of missing things before they are gone. I think that I’ve carried that with me for a long time. I’m not good at letting things go - and moreover, I’m not good at letting people go. I think that I love very deeply. I’m incredibly lucky to have found the friends I have. Every single one of them is insanely talented, and I often find myself needing to express that to them - I never want any singular person to feel unappreciated, and they have to know how much they are loved. There is this concept, that time keeps moving, the hands on the clock keep ticking, and that, to me, is devastating.
There are some constants in life. For instance, there is always math, although there is not always math class, luckily. There are always books and the internet and a wave hello to a pretty stranger on the street. There will always be pretzels downtown and boba tea on Saturdays and posters taped carefully on my bedroom walls. The sun will be there as long as I live. The sky always darkens and the world keeps moving, another rotation, another day. Constant, until the cosmos blow up and take everything down with them.
People aren’t constant, though. People come and go. When my friends throw their graduation caps in the air - that’s not constant. Those hats will come back down, to get trampled on by feet in a flurry of freedom. Text messages peter out and fade, becoming nothing more than a print in millions, lost to the ether. Phone numbers are lost and people move away and become nothing more than a memory, someone whose posts you like on Instagram but never see anymore. Someone you look back on fondly and say, I was friends with them once. People you run into at the grocery store and chat with in the cereal aisle while your children tug on your sleeves, rolling their eyes. Mom, come on, you’ve talked to them long enough. Let’s go home. To which you’d run your hands through their hair absentmindedly and say, I knew them in high school. They used to be a good friend of mine. That ‘used to’ still lingers. It’s a past, and it’s a past you don’t have anymore.
There was a song that went, things have changed for me, and that’s okay. I guess it’s a bittersweet thing, like nostalgia. I don’t miss middle school quite as much as I thought I would.
It’s often said that platonic love doesn’t matter quite as much as romantic love. I don’t believe that’s true. I think that people who say that don’t understand the capacity of love, the vast deepness of it, the crushing weight of it. There are people, these people who come into your life, who look at your heart and your soul and everything you are and say, yes, I’ll keep you, I’ll make a home out of you for a while. I don’t think it is understood quite how devastating it is to lose that.
There’s this pride I get when I’m with my friends. It’s almost an honor to be associated with them. Like I’ve said, I’m friends with incredibly talented people. They’re going places, and I get to say that I’m friends with them. How cool is that? Some of them are going to be famous. How many people get to say they’re friends with amazing actors, incredible scientists, and award winning writers? What were the circumstances that led this to be my life? I’m so lucky. I have the best friends in the world. I don’t know what I did to be able to deserve them. I’m the luckiest person ever.
But it sucks, because we’re young, and every year I’ll lose them. I’m always holding on so tight - I’m always loving so deeply - because I know it’s not permanent. They need to know how much I love them now, so that they’ll remember who I am when they’re gone. I don’t want to be a memory in their eyes. I want to be someone looked back on fondly through rose tinted glasses. Yeah, high school was a shitshow, but at least I had toby. At least I had my friends. Or, even better, in the present : yeah, she’s my good friend from high school. Despite the circumstances, we still get dinner sometimes. I don’t like to think of the future, but for me, the present is already nostalgic because I know I won’t be able to get this back. Sometimes, this is okay with me. Sometimes, I want to hold on as tightly as possible.
I lay on my bed and I replay memories through my head of times that have gone by and the things I’ve done and things that have been done and I just feel sort of sad. Things happen, and then people move on. My mom’s told me: the only constant in life is change. And yeah, it sucks, but… she’s right. The only constant in life is change. The cosmos might be around for a while, but eventually, even then they will explode, fold into themselves like chocolate chips into batter, combust like a fork in a microwave. The world will end. The sky will fall. Luckily, I will not be around to experience this.
The only constant in life is change. I am in the habit of missing things before they are gone. It’s a sick, twisted kind of nostalgic, a life lost to the lens. I don’t know what I would do without change, and yet, every time it happens, I feel so wrong.
Perhaps it would be better if I was the one leaving. At least I get to say I knew them.
