Connecting cultures: Konzertabend in Warburg mit internationaler Musik

Connecting cultures - wortwörtlich: Aeham Ahmad und Cornelius Hummel spielen auf dem Warburger Brüderkirchhof gemeinsam. Nach dem großen Erfolg der ersten Ausstellung des Museum of humanity in Deutschland, 2019 in Warburg, veranstaltet das Museum nun zusammen mit dem nurguteleute Veranstaltungsbüro einen Konzertabend unter dem Motto Connecting cultures am Brüderkirchhof in Warburg Den Abend eröffnen werden Aeham Ahmad und Cornelius Hummel. Aeham Ahmad erlangte internationale Bekanntheit durch seine öffentlichen Auftritte in den Jahren 2014 und 2015 im Flüchtlingslager Jarmuk als "Pianist in den Trümmern" während des Bürgerkriegs in Syrien. Mittlerweile tritt der Musiker auf der ganzen Welt auf und begeistert die Menschen mit seiner Klavierkunst. Er wohnt in Daseburg und war 2019 auf dem Fest „Buntes Warburg“ live in der Hansestadt zu erleben. Cornelius Hummel ist in Deutschland als Cellist und Komponist bekannt. Zusammen mit Aeham Ahmad hat er die CD „Connecting cultures“ aufgenommen. Die Musik, die beim gemeinsamen Spiel des deutschen Cellisten und des syrisch-palästinensischen Pianisten entsteht, überrascht zunächst. Die Stücke fühlen sich an wie ein Dialog zwischen den beiden Musikern, aufgeladen mit zwei völlig unterschiedlichen Lebensgeschichten, jedoch im Grundton gleich. Gemeinsam überwinden sie in ihrer Musik sprachliche und kulturelle Barrieren und zeigen, dass wir im Kern alle aus dem selben Ton gemacht sind. Read the full article
