EPCLOT is the result me watching too many theme park vloggers, and also my love of hurting my blaseball blorbos.

Right after the Semi-Centennial, an entity called The Collector take both the Vault Legends and the Rising Stars and puts them in its collection, in the Blaseball Parks and Resort (officially the Resort League). The Blaseball players are put on their teams they were on when the Semi-Centenial started, often haphazardly, and forced to play games for tourists, with actors filling out their teams.

Right now, the main three characters are Alto Patterson, captaining the Talkers, Commissioner Vapor captaining the Spies, and York Silk captaining the Garages.

There's a Garages cover band called The Carparks, playing sanitized, capitalist-friendly versions of their songs.

Day X happens at the end of every week (even for the players that weren't there). Imagine the one of the most important thing that happened in your life being reduced to a theme park show.

The actors who play specific players get makeup for their characters. They have dossiers on their character and who they like, love, and hate. They don't understand why the actual players act so hostile towards them.

Some of the players are puppets (like Socks Maybe or London Simmons). Nagomi Nava lost Passenger going in, and Passenger is a puppet (Gomi will destroy this puppet many, many times).

The actors are starting to forget who they are.

And when the Collector is displeased, he might put a player on Display (imagine being shelled but everyone can see you and you can see everyone)

And things look bad for our players, but very quietly, the Spies are coming up with a plan...

As the heir of a respected clan in Inazuma, you were always expected to master many types of talents such as performing a tea ceremony, negotiation, wielding a blade, and more. Catching hearts, however, was never on your list — and not to mention, two of them at the same time.

KAMISATO AYATO is never shy to admit that he finds beauty in your resilience from the start... Or at least, resilience in rejecting his advances, that is.

You're always so professional, always so firm in keeping your composure — but to him, that just adds to your appeal as if you're a locked treasure chest and Ayato is having the time of his life trying to find the right key to you. Needless to say, he seeks enjoyment from trying to crack that mask of yours.

The sweet tone in his voice that has the intent to charm, the glint in his eyes when he looks at you. Just the way he acts when you're around already speaks enough of his fondness for you. It isn't hard to notice; if the Commissioner's mood seems awfully good, that must mean your name is somewhere on the list of visitors that day.

Not to mention, the touches that linger longer than necessary and the excuses that roll off his tongue like second nature just so he can stay close to you. All of these quirks of his just further incite the urge inside you to give him a good knock on the head... if it weren't for the fact that you have a reputation to keep up.

Oh, goodness, there he goes again with that look in his eyes. Have your previous words fallen on deaf ears, you wonder? You place your teacup down with a heavy sigh, "...Lord Kamisato, you are staring."

Ayato smiles, faux innocence shining from his face so naturally like sunlight. He hides his fit of chuckles behind his hand, "Pardon me. It seems I was lost in your eyes again, can you repeat what you were saying just now?"

The frown on your face is clear. A clear as its purpose to become an armor so it can distract the insufferable male from noticing the way you faltered a little and you emphasize, a little, at his words. You huff defeatedly, "Fine, I shall start again."

(...Really, how does he say all that with such a straight face?)

But Ayato knows. He can see how you're itching to chuck an object at him and how badly you want to roll your eyes at his sweetened compliments. Well, he wouldn't go as far as to call himself a true sadist — but maybe, that sight of annoyance on your face only makes him fall for you even harder. Who would've thought the Yashiro Commissioner is someone who enjoys being loathed as his love language? (Does this mean he is also a masochist, then? Albeit, an odd one.)

Seriously, what are you going to do with him? Seeing as you're the current heir to a bloodline that has worked with the Kamisato Clan for generations, it seems there is no avoiding him. The only thing you can do is to curse fate for letting you be born in the same timeline as this brat of a man, probably.

But Ayato certainly stays true to what the gods have gifted him, for he is as suffocating as the properties of his Hydro Vision. Curse him and his pretty face. (...So, you do think he is pleasant on the eyes, after all?)

On the other hand, THOMA is almost untrue to the Vision he holds for he is anything but the feeling of a scorching blaze. But he is so passionate, so intent on helping others that you'd understand why he was chosen by such a fiery element — and strangely, his flames are the kind that you wouldn't mind throwing yourself at and you're sure many people agree.

The retainer of the Kamisato Clan is so welcoming, so comforting to the point that just the mere sight of his face is able to lift up your spirits. Like a pat on the shoulder or an unspoken whisper that everything will be alright, whether that be because of his 'fixing' skills or just that bright smile on his lips.

The amount of adoration he has for you is not a well-hidden secret either. Why else would he fumble and fret so much every time you come by? Some may say that it's common sense since you are an important guest, thus it is natural that he wants to treat you well. But that is what others would say and Thoma can speak for himself — and as such, he can say with certainty that he likes you. Or why else would his heart flutter so much when you're around?

Even amidst any sort of rush, he'd still drop anything and everything for you.

In fact, he is very willing to; a fact that he learnt when one day, you came to visit and he wasn't there to greet you per usual. It is only when he was trudging up the steps to the Kamisato Estate after some business in Ritou that he was informed of your presence. And goodness, Thoma has never run so fast before in all his life!

"Mx. [Y/N], when did you get here? Did you wait long? Has anyone prepared tea for you yet? I'm so sorry, I just got back from an errand. Hold on, let me—"

"Relax," you chuckle, shaking your head politely at the genuine panic in his voice. "I arrived merely some moments ago. And no, I told the staff I'd wait for you so you'll be the one to make the tea like always," you state calmly.

You say that so casually... but why does Thoma feel like his heart just skipped a beat and is struggling to catch up? Maybe, his heart is overreacting.

"Oh, y-you did?" He stutters upon hearing your words, as if his breath has been knocked out of his lungs and all he can think about is you. Both of them are true.

"Yes, I did," you affirm with a smile.

Yep, his heart is definitely overreacting and definitely not racing a mile faster.

Gosh, where should he start? He likes how composed you are, how you try to quieten your laughter when all he wants is to hear it clearer, how you smile at him and make him feel so appreciated when he does something for you. Oh, how he really, really likes you; something he has told Taroumaru many times before whenever it is quiet and empty inside Komore Teahouse.

Thoma knows his place as a servant where his status is way lower than you are but still, it doesn't lessen these feelings in his chest... Maybe, he is more than qualified to be called the exact definition of lovesick.

[ VAPORIZE | And thus, chaos ensues. ]

When water meets fire or vice versa, it will result in a mist of vapor; either an engulfing one or a haze that brushes against your skin softly. That is what you know according to the laws of nature, so what in the name of the Shogun is this clashing aura lingering in the air?

You've already grown quite immune to AYATO's teasing and eccentric remarks, so much so that it should be considered a skill of yours now. But for some reason, there are times where he seems more spirited to do his worst than usual and if you connect the dots, the sole factor for this occurrence leads to... THOMA?

It isn't unusual for a commissioner and their retainer to be in one room, but being in the same room as them brings about a whole new meaning. Everything just turns into a domino effect; when you talk, another responds, then the other disagrees. These are the moments when you remember that both Ayato and Thoma don't necessarily see eye to eye at times and thus, here you are, caught in the middle.

"My Lord, I don't think that is a good idea," comes the hesitant plea of a certain blond. The one who sits across from him raises an eyebrow, resting a hand on his chin and sporting a dignified tone.

"I didn't know you had such an interest in politics," the commissioner regards the former with a hum. "Or is it our guest that you're interested in?" Ayato continues, a wide smile too far-fetched to be called harmless chipped onto his lips.

"W-what?! No, no, I just think that we can choose another way to make things easier for Mx. [Y/N] than that one. Doing that would put too much on their plate," Thoma stammers out his reason like a deer caught in the headlights but rather solidifying his defence as intended, he only looks a tad more sillier than before.

How thoughtful of these two to care so much to the point of bickering — but you're very much an independent person who is more than capable of making their own decisions, respectfully.

But these two have been at it for a while now, you muse to yourself as you sip your tea quietly. Should you interrupt or should you enjoy this stand-up comedy show a little bit longer?

"I was already thinking of buying them gifts as my compensation, but you're acting as if I am heartlessly subjecting them to this. I thought you would know me better. I'm quite offended, Thoma."

"My Lord, please—"

Okay, you're going to sip this tea and watch just a little bit longer.

Naturally, you remain on the neutral side like the fence in between two quarreling neighbors. Their squabbles can be very amusing at times, irritating the next, or even both simultaneously. Sometimes, you don't even know the end of it — but what you do know is that neither of them back down easily.

However, there is something you'd like to point out. In most cases involving an employer and employee, the latter would have had no say in any matters that belonged to their master... But as you watch the banter between Ayato and Thoma, this doesn't seem to be the case in the Kamisato Estate and somehow, it warms your heart.

To know that Thoma feels comfortable enough around his employers to be able to express his opinions, to know that both Ayato and Ayaka are the ones who enabled Thoma to feel as such because they don't see him as just a servant. In Inazuma where the value of traditions and honor is important as eternity that the Raiden Shogun chased, it is the type of bond you've never seen before, the type of bond that makes you smile.

Everyone in the Kamisato Estate is so full of surprises, aren't they? ...Though, it might be better if you start discussing business with Ayaka instead of these two from now on. Just to save everyone (and yourself) in this property from their incessant disputes over you.

i wanted all contestants to be known by the fanbase, at least a little bit. so more "unpopular" characters that may be more fight-able have been left out

have at least a bit of a "heel" personality, on twitter, in the wiki, or in a fanfic i have read

have traits that could make them unlikable aside from being a heel

i just wanted to see if anyone would willingly fight them

none of the characters match all of this criteria but they all match at least 1 (i tried to get them all be somewhat known, but im sure people are going to look at a couple of these and go "who?")

kaz fiasco: during the late expansion era some of the spies joked that it was inevitable we would someday receive kaz, as his pgr is "spying." perhaps now is the time.

sexton wheeler and/or mcdowell mason: look, i love sad horse man and the sasquatch captain as much as anyone, but can you imagine them learning spy skills? hysterical. i would like to see at least one of them, preferably both, in trenchcoats

phineas wormthrice: i need to see phinny interacting with nanci grackle's muppets. more importantly, it would be funny.

peanut bong: it would be funny.

mohammed picklestein: this one's cheating because mohammed was already a spies player, but 1. they're one of my favorites and 2. can you imagine noted blaseball safety expert mohammed picklestein on the same team as notoriously unethical nanci grackle?

at least one other blaseball scientist: niq and mo are the scientists i'd like the most, but really i just need at least 3 or 4 scientists/inventors/etc on this team. unfortunately the sim has already taken haruta byrd and mooney doctor from me as options but we've got a lot more. how about zion aliciakeyes? pedro davids? felix garbage? mint shupe? mullen peterson? maybe jomgy rolsenthal moves back to houston? maybe eve mcblase moves back?? whatever makes the vibes a little funky around here.

Rhoades Tells Whistleblower: Go Blow!

In September of 2013, former SugarVape employee Ray Cruz came forward accusing the electronic cigarette and vaporizer manufacturer of illegally marketing nicotine products to children. He was fired two months later.

Mr. Cruz initially raise his concerns internally, through employee channels. SugarVape maintains there was no connection between Mr. Cruz’s complaint and his termination.

Shortly after Sugar Vape terminated him, Mr. Cruz filed sworn testimony, requesting whistleblower status in order to provide evidence in federal court. Then-United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Charles Rhoades Jr., met with Mr. Cruz several times over a period of approximately six weeks. In the end, he declined to prosecute, and Mr. Cruz was denied federal whistleblower status.

According to Mr. Cruz, the cited reason at the time was absence of tangible connection between the release of SugarVape’s flavor packaging and illegal targeted advertising at minors.

But in the intervening years, Mr. Cruz says, he discovered that a tangible connection could be found between SugarVape’s CEO and at least 4 members of the intimate social circle of Charles Rhoades Sr.--Mr. Rhoades’ father.

A representative of the United States Attorney’s office did not immediately reply to a request for comment about Mr. Cruz’s claims.

Marketing tobacco products to minors, including using cartoons, candy- and fruit-flavored products, and teen-centered ads, has been restricted in the United States since 1998.

U.S. Food and Drug Commissioner Aaron Rodriguez said earlier this year that, “e-cigarettes and vape products, largely marked as a safe--or at least, “safer”--alternative to traditional tobacco products, have changed the game in the last 10 years.”

Close to a third of teenagers between 13 and 18 years old who responded to a survey by the Financial Journal with research from Bastion Analytics reported they currently use e-cigarettes or similar vaporizer products, including ones marketed and distributed by SugarVape.

Superman: Man of Tomorrow Part I

Final film would be a mix of President Lex, Superman & the Authority, Blacksters by Morrison, and What's So Funny About Truth, Justice, and The American Way? with Clark a dad. Bringing in Jon for the final movie feels like a good idea, because it would be a movie that does go back to the well of "but what does Superman MEAN?" for the finale of my trilogy. Here the exploration is done via Clark wrestling with his failures as a hero and trying to convince his son that the values he fought for still mean something.

Plot:

Act 1 - We open on a scene of Clark and Lois at the Daily Planet. Lois has a picture of Clark, her, and baby Jon on her desk, and Lois exchanges playful banner with him as he walks by. She excitedly lets Clark know that she has an article implicating Lex in criminal activities, that she and John Henry Irons gathered, and expresses hope that it will be enough to kill his Presidential campaign. After his contribution to saving Metropolis from Brainiac, he's currently the frontrunner for the upcoming election. Clark kisses her and the two briefly talk about their hopes for the future. Lois goes to discuss final edits with Perry while Clark stops by Jimmy Olsen's desk and the two talk about Jimmy's godson Jon, as well as Jimmy's having won a Pulitzer for his feature photography of the Brainiac Invasion and Superman revealing his identity. Jimmy tells Clark he hopes to win another one for photographing the rise and fall of Lex Luthor. Clark hears alarms across Metropolis and slips away to become Superman. He confronts and fights an Intergang cell who are hitting numerous areas of interest across Metropolis under the direction of Prankster. After defeating them and Prankster, Prankster taunts Superman with the reveal that this has all been a distraction from their true target: The Daily Planet. Turning Prankster over to Commissioner Sawyer, Superman rushes back to the the Planet only to see it explode just as he arrives. Searching through the rubble he finds the charred bodies of his co-workers and friends, including Perry White, John Henry Irons, and Jimmy Olsen. Lois is badly burned and barely alive when he finally finds her, and he rushes her to the hospital. Sitting by her side, she regains consciousness long enough to tell Clark that Intergang was there to silence her and Irons as well as for her evidence against Lex, but she had left it at home. She warns Clark that it's likely they were hired by Lex, and they chose to blow themselves up once they heard he was approaching the Planet. Urging him to go save their son and recover the evidence, Lois lapses into a coma, and Clark flies home. He uses his speed to pick off Intergang one by one, so as not to push Intergang to detonate themselves, until there's just a single member left who threatens to blow himself up and kill Jon alongside himself unless Clark hands over the evidence and allows him to leave. Clark reveals himself and attempts to intimidate the man, but the man shoots him with a Kryptonite bullet, letting Clark know that Lex Luthor sends his regards, and while Lex would have preferred Superman didn't die a "hero", he'd settle for taking everything from Clark before Clark died. As the man prepares to fire another Kryptonite bullet, baby Jon Kent unleashes his heat vision in an effort to protect his dad, vaporizing the man's arm and weapon. Screaming in pain, the man activates his suicide device, and all Clark has the strength to do is shield Jon with his body as the explosion launches them across the neighborhood and incinerates their house. A bleeding Clark with a crying Jon lay together on the ground as we cut to black.

Act 2 - A caption informs us that 17 years have passed since that day. Clark is dressed up in a suit and tie but no glasses as he approaches a graveyard, a teenaged Jon trailing behind him. Clark leaves flowers on gravestones for Perry, Jimmy, and finally, Lois. Jon reminds Clark that Lex's men will be here soon, and Clark coldly replies that beating them up is as much a part of paying respects to the dead as bringing flowers. Sure enough members of Lex's secret service show up and attempt to arrest the two, with Clark and Jon effortlessly dispatching them. They leave a single man conscious and Clark reminds the man that if Lex doesn't leave the graves alone, he'll burn the White House to the ground with Lex inside it.
