I miss the early 2000s fashion and internet. you could just wear whatever the fuck you wanted and call it fashion. websites looked abhorrent and you had to learn codng to make your profile look half decent, and even then the objective was to give you eye strain but like make it fashion.
obviously there's a lot of things that have improved over the years but everything just seems too polished now. give me mess! give me clutter! give me 6 layers of shirts! give me teased hair with pink coon-tail bangs! give me everthing Ashley Tisdale had going on at red carpet events!
I feel like somewhere along the way we lost the very human trait of being a goddamn mess online.

聽 聽 聽STORIES - A PAGE BY BEDTIMEBARBIE & RECEKING
hey again ! uh, this is kind of an impulse thing & it won鈥檛 be regular, but we鈥檝e been best friends for two (2) years & have been writing / codng together since then too, so we wanted to mark the occasion by releasing something & getting that reminiscent feeling. this is just a chill page - it has four (4) tabs & uhhhhh, yeah.
tab one inc a main picture, their name & also a lil quote @ the bottom.
tab two inc an instagram story for your character (click the icon with the bolded border) with four pics (or as many as you want really), as well as a feed.
tab three inc two tabs within one - a message overview tab (akin to instagram) & then also an opened chat !
tab four inc a playlist for your character, soooo it鈥檚 pretty basic but ig cute. there鈥檚 a lot of coding here already, didn鈥檛 want to overload it.
rules are pretty much always the same but i just want to say a few things - please don鈥檛 hound us with coding questions, when we鈥檙e releasing again, if we鈥檙e releasing a certain code. we aren鈥檛 coding much anymore & we aren鈥檛 interested in releasing codes all of the time. every so often we might, but we aren鈥檛 making any promises. we鈥檒l answer questions about the code if there are bugs or something, but we won鈥檛 help altering it or anything - also worth noting that this is all ORIGINAL coding that has been designed for the purposed it鈥檚 used for, if you steal any of it we鈥檒l know, & also we鈥檒l know if you steal parts of it (then we鈥檒l report you, do a PSA, whatever it takes to stop you being a dumb rude bitch really). don鈥檛 claim as your own, distribute as your own, take parts, remove any credit from any part of the coding, blah blah blah.
all of the dimensions for the pictures & instructions are IN THE CODING (placeholder imgs) - there are too many for us to include on this post. please rb or like if you use, some appreciation for our work would go a long way !!
preview & code

eileen leahy and aaron bass join up as agents and they鈥檙e Friends and she teaches him ASL in exchange for help with hebrew.聽
nancy fitzgerald is their moneypenny, just an absolute crack hand at administrative duties.聽
kevin is a summer intern so he can get resume padding and be less at risk than at a normal job.
cassie robinson runs a hunter news bulletin buried DEEP in the internet
聽charlie helps her own the website anonymously and makes sure only those in-the-know can see it.聽
jo is a regular contributor, she writes up reports from hunters who come into Roadhouse
claire is a junior moderator on the forums and charlie is teaching her codng
anna milton and cassie robinson travel together
anna has a network of fallen/rebel angels and demons who aren鈥檛 all about that murder life
cassie gathers information for the blog

Its a couple of days, maybe weeks I havent post what I hav been doing.聽
Last week I had focus on my first milestone project of the course I am doing on coding. The topics of the milestone were centerd on html, css, Bootstap, Git and GitHub, using tchnologies as Font Awesome, Google Fonts, Balsamiq and the big help of Bootstrap. The project was ok. I did it on Creative Codng. That was my topic about.聽
Now I am beginning with JavaScript and it has been difficult for me. I am advancing like a turtle having trouble with the challenges, not because I dont reallly know what to do, but for misunderstanding what I need to do. And also of course because I lack knowledge.聽
I have seen variables, arrays, strings, numbers and a basic introdction.聽

Twitterbot
When we were learning the twitter-bot tutorial I was initially very confused with learning python. I have never used a propgramming language before and my only other experience with codng has been with web, so the syntax of everything was very confusing. I really liked the idea of a twitter bot because its almost like an AI that anyone in the world can access at any time jus through twitter. Linking the whitepages API gave it a more in depth look at what phone numbers were texted to it than google would. Parsing through the json was very challanging because I was using a different version of python than we were in class and I had trouble navigate all of the urllib libraries.聽

RVP(Ransomware Virus Protection)
I was curious on how to prevent a Ransomware Virus from completely destroying someone's computer files, so I did some research and came up with this program. It creates a backup of the file with a file extension of your choice. This way, if the file type is not a recognizable file type by the virus, it doesn't get encrypted. You guys can improve this code or use it in your projects if you want. http://www.mediafire.com/download/2rb668f1m5lb5os/RVP+Master.zip

Ruby on Rails Is Not Impossible to Learn
The job outlook for software developers is expected to grow by 30% from 2010 - 2020 with a median pay of $90,530 per year according to the聽United States Bureau of Labor Statistics. If you want to start a career as a developer taking the time to learn Rails is a good place to start but is no easy task for someone just starting out. Though Ruby on Rails may be hard for a newbie to learn it is not impossible to learn. I decided to create a list of useful resources that helped me (and a few others) make the transition from novice to pro. This list of tips and resources is as follows:
Become familiar with the Ruby Programming Language聽- The more comfortable you are with Ruby, the more you increase your ability to become a stronger Rails developer. Before diving into Rails, familiarize yourself with the Ruby programming language. A few good resources that I came across during my learning phase are聽Try Ruby,聽Ruby Monk聽and 聽Codecademy's Ruby track.聽If you're like me and enjoy a good read a nice book that I highly recommend is聽How to Program by Chris Pine.聽
Understand what Rails is聽- A solid and fun introduction to Rails is聽Rails for Zombies. This is a free Code School course that covers the basics of Ruby on Rails and is a good way to get an idea of how the Rails framework works. Another way to learn more about the architecture of and the philosophy behind the Rails Framework is to read and work through the "Getting Started" section of the official聽Ruby on Rails Guides.
Read a book that covers the Rails framework聽- To take a deeper dive into Rails, a good book to go through is Michael Hartl's聽Ruby on Rails Tutorial: Learn Web Development Rails聽(also available聽online for free). This book is awesome because Michael Hartl not only provides a solid introduction to Rails; but also covers test-driven development (you can聽read more about it here) using聽Rspec聽(a popular Ruby testing tool) and basic聽Twitter Bootstrap聽(a popular front-end framework). In this tutorial you'll build a fully functional Twitter clone that you will deploy to聽Heroku. Code Crew is currently running a study group based on this book and you're more than welcome to聽join us!
Add some features to your sample app from the RoR tutorial聽- Now that you have a basic Twitter clone up and running you should now add more features to your application. For example, your Twitter clone can easily become an Instagram or Tumblr clone if you enable it to handle image uploads and post comments. A good site that details how to add cool features to your Rails app through 10 minute screencasts that you should definitely check out is聽Railscasts, which is maintained by Ryan Bates.
This post is intended to be a suggested roadmap to help you learn Ruby on Rails. Feel free to add any suggestions or additions to this list in the comments section below or email me at jamal[at]codecrew.co聽if you have any questions. Until next time. Code long, code strong!
--- Jamal started learning how to code a little less than a year ago and currently works as a fullstack web developer at a startup in SoHo. When Jamal's not helping people learn how to code through聽Code Crew聽sessions, you can find him聽blogging聽his inspirations聽or shooting street photography and short documentary films around the five boroughs. Say hello on Twitter,聽@jsogarro.

Coding Job: Are senior dev's always hard to get along with ?
It is not uncommon to see really experienced and senior developers come off as "hard to get along with", mainly because they're generally very busy, focused on solving hard problems, and its not their nature to socialize. They're wired like that. The best ways to work with them are -
Do your homework before approaching them - their time is precious.聽
Before you ask a question, try to find the answer elsewhere - in most cases, you'll find the answer in Google. Don't ask questions that Google can answer :)
Don't repeat the same question - no one likes to be asked the same question again and again.
If you're going to discuss an idea, think about all the pro's and con's and the value proposition well. Don't go with half baked ideas.
Lastly, impress them with your code. Write really efficient code. Small or big. They love that :)
Bottom line: keep calm and go back to coding :)
