If we don’t fight back against predatory practices and exploitation against AI right now, than what was it all for? Raise a ruckus. Let’s do this.

second brain
i saw this concept online where you can have a second brain for things your brain can't hold and I didn't think it was important till i started going deep into Javascript and i kept encountering, going back and forth with information, articles and resources. Just so much to read so I created a Second Brain - Basically an organized Notion Page where I can sort everything out in order and @codomars inspired me to add Notes to it so I can easily go back and read my notes to refresh my memory on concepts, topics or mechanisms I need to remember and I have the Notion app installed on my phone so I can always read or reach out to my other brain when I need it.

The number one tell that Crypto was going to fail should’ve been how few Furries endorsed and used it. No sector of the “new tech” space goes untouched by the programmer Furries unless it’s doomed from the start.

Grace Hopper was born on December 9, 1906. An American computer scientist, mathematician, United States Navy rear admiral, and one of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer, she was a pioneer of computer programming who invented one of the first linkers. She was the first to devise the theory of machine-independent programming languages, and the FLOW-MATIC programming language she created using this theory was later extended to create COBOL, an early programming language still in use today.

Additional Programmers Needed
WELCOME TO SONIC BATTLE** :
LOST MEMORIES.
A Brand new Ambitious Sonic Fighting Game;
Tweaking the old assets and bringing new elements in while keeping its GBA design!
You have a game that is worth joining!!
All we need is couple programmers who can help speed up the process as we code on Godot 4.x!!!
Fill out the form below to be apart of the fight! ( Serious inquiries only )
—————————————————-
Synopsis of story:
Sonic sits with Uncle Chuck at the chili dog stand, sharing stories and reminiscing about their past adventures, including their connection with Emerl. Uncle Chuck, unfamiliar with Emerl, asks if a chili dog might distract Sonic from his thoughts. As they chat, a radio broadcast reports about the appearance of enigmatic robots causing chaos across Mobius. Ben Muttiski arrives but is persuaded by Uncle Chuck to help manage the chili dog stand.
Tails rushes in, urgently informing Uncle Chuck that Sonic sped off to warn Sally and gather the Freedom Fighters. Tails catches up with Sonic, conveying the gravity of the situation. Sonic, already aware, humorously prepares for action while acknowledging Tails' seriousness. They unite with Sally and the Freedom Fighters, inspired by the events of the ''Countdown to Chaos'' arc from the Archie Comics. This marks the start of the "Neublite War" arc, where Werehog Sonic's potential involvement is contemplated.
Amidst strategizing for the impending conflict with the mysterious robots, the team gears up, anticipating a significant showdown.
Here’s some footage above of the prototype:

It's important to have a life outside programming. You go to work to start coding and working on projects coming back to continue coding, your social media full of coding content and all your friends are developers. It just isn't healthy. Identifying a problem is the first step to solving it so remember have a life outside your job, interact with people who aren't programmers. Stay safe.

Today, I had a dream where I was a businessman (and/or of course entrepreneur) who had a multi-industry corporation.
On the middle of that dream, the team of robotics engineers, programmers and technicians have invented Worker Drones and also exported them to other countries. The robotics team have even built Uzi, Nori, Khan, Lizzy, Doll and Cyn! Not forgetting that I've also built V and J as maids, with N being butler.
In real life, it's impossible to make mouths for them because it would never work, and instead make them mouthless.
The dream ended with worker drones warning that if the engineers, programmers and technicians ever invented Disassembly Drones, the humanity would be extinct.

Pronoun Practice Website Idea
TL;DR: Anyone want to make a website like Duo Lingo for learning and becoming proficient at someone else's pronouns?
Dear Trans Programming Community (of which I know is vast) or Allies,
I had this idea the other day of a website where you can plug in someone's pronouns and their name and practice using their name and pronouns in various sentences sort of like Duo Lingo but to learn and become more comfortable with someone's pronouns. (I am not a program savvy person, though I know I could learn. This website idea is quite complex though so I thought if I could outsource it someone might feel inspired.)
Practicing things by saying them out loud has always been helpful in creating new patterns in the brain. And especially pronouns like "they/them" (which are mine) or neo pronouns (which I can definitely use some practice with) it can take a while for the brain to go through the process of replacing the assumed/past pronoun with the correct pronoun every time before it's able to bypass that pattern and be able to connect the person directly with the correct pronoun. (Same way you learn someone's new name.)
I feel like this would be helpful because allies/accomplices and friends often go through that awkward stage of stuttering/guilt (their own) when learning to adjust their language. This website might be able to mitigate that uneasy phase of learning so that the person whose pronoun is being corrected might not have to go through as much public discomfort. (I recently had a coworker who I adore get very angry at being reminded of my pronoun because it triggered the negative way her language was corrected as child by her parents. She wanted to learn my pronouns without being prompted. This website would be an option.)
I suppose one way it could work is to have a page that is basic grammar having to do with the specific pronoun, then a quiz on the grammar. Then have sentences to practice verbally using pronouns and then, last, have fill in the blank sentences where you're expected to choose/fill in the appropriate pronoun and form of that pronoun included with the person's name. (Things could get tricky with people who don't have pronouns and go by their name alone. But I think there could be an option for that as well with some adjustments.)
I feel like the sooner we can teach those willing to learn how to be more comfortable learning pronouns without having to be put on the spot and feeling shame (that is then projected to us, who are the pronoun havers) the sooner it can become a more intrinsic part of our culture and society. And it takes us out of the equation for being in the firing range of those emotions. And it gives power to allies and accomplices to practice that allyship on their own time. So I hope there's an accomplice or trans person who feels led to take this project on. And I'd eventually like to see it in other languages as well!
Thank you for your time!

Let’s make core programming languages cool again and stop romanticizing frameworks and libraries. Also, basically what they do is “abstraction” and they can help you lessen the lines of code but do you UNDERSTAND how? I’m speaking from the POV of someone who started learning again and just feeling like if I’m not building with React or all these popular frameworks then it isn’t considered as programming. IMO vanilla css is way simpler and cleaner than using tailwindcss.

Hey all, so the crowdfund is up for ReachAI. If anyone wants to go check it out it would mean a lot to me! Also you can watch the video there on IndieGOGO or here:
youtube
It should give you a bit of an idea on what ReachAI is and what the nonprofit will be doing as well as the benefits of becoming a donor (which there are even more than I talked about in the video including Webinars, 1-on-1 sessions with me, a newsletter update on research the organization is working on or right now that I am). I am excited to be bringing ReachAI closer to launch day, I am really hoping I can raise the money to get it started! I know it could do so much good in the world :3

The female programmers of ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer) - the first programmable, electronic, general-purpose digital computer, completed in 1945. ENIAC could be programmed to perform complex sequences of operations, including loops, branches, and subroutines. However, instead of the stored-program computers that exist today, ENIAC was just a large collection of arithmetic machines, which originally had programs set up into the machine by a combination of plugboard wiring and three portable function tables (containing 1,200 ten-way switches each).
