so, hi. this may be one of the funniest incidents that has ever happened on our minecraft server

ENTER: THE SNIFFER

gorgeous creatures, sniffers. wonderful creatures. this was one of TWO baby sniffers we hatched inside of the beautiful town of susville (long story), and we loved them to bits.

however.

as you might be able to tell, this sniffer smells A LITTLE WHITE SOMETHING in a nearby player’s hand. this, my dear friends, is crack cocaine. and our sniffers liked to sniff it very, very much.

you can blame maxine, pictured above, for enabling what was essentially a crippling cocaine addiction.

despite their obvious... issues, we still loved our sniffers. they were our children.

so you can imagine our shock when we received news that our beloved, drug-addicted babies… were in fact, so drugged up, that any offspring they created would immediately crash the entire server.

the sniffers were killed within minutes.

our babies.

our beautiful, cocaine-loving babies.

they were no longer with us.

a funeral ensued. “Cocaine Addict #1” and “Cocaine Addict #2” were buried where they had hatched - inside of the glass dome we called the DRUG RING.

many were invited to attend to pay their respects.

tears were shed.

so many tears.

life would never truly be the same.

this all happened within the span of a few hours and it was seriously like the wildest thing ever

harrison doesn't respond right away and instead, lets his eyes wander over her as she sits on the floor, cutting lines of cocaine on the table for them. he still remembers the night ruby told him about it --- the time she slept with her professor, or rather, how she was coerced into fucking him. granted, he didn't take it well. to this day, it made his skin crawl. "you didn't." harrison states, as though it should have been obvious. the person who did cause him trouble, well... he suspects she already knows who that might be. all across their university's socials, alerts and reports were sent out to the students, letting them know that a professor had been attacked not far from campus. a safety warning was issued, asking students to be vigilant and for anyone who might have witnessed anything to contact local authorities. it happened the previous weekend, when harrison had enough time to get off grid, buy what he needed and get the job done. it was raining heavily, much like it is tonight. he'd broken the guy's jaw, left him with fractured ribs and some internal bleeding. "none of this is your fault, okay?" he reminds her, dark eyes void of any anger. if anything, now he just felt numb. indifferent. as long as ruby was alright, he would be too.

heyy :) i don't know if you already said something about this or don't even want to in which case you can just ignore this but i still feel so deeply disturbed by harry's cocaine references in the new album and the way he also references them ("im singing this in front of my mom haha awkward" or doing the motions etc or the way most people are finding it funny or defending him especially on twitter like it's normal for him to do because he's "nearly 30" or yknow "a popstar"). it's just. there were always times where you don't necessarily agree with someone you're a fan of but it's been never something for me that i truly can't accept and i hate that. i am grown up, i know how the world works and yeah, some people do cocaine (especially if you're rich and famous and in that industry) but I'd rather stay naive, also because it's not some celebrity you hear this of but because it's someone you liked and cared about for over ten years. i see something of him now and my mind goes there because i find it so unsettling. and it's not even the fact that he has those references in his songs, i honestly wouldn't mind that much then, it's the way they are referenced and talked about as if it's something so causal and cool. it's glorifying and it's fucked up. i never would have expected that from him. and i still feel like i overreact but it's a fucking hard drug and people who are actually addicted need help and guidance and not some jokes and cool references.

I think you’re valid for your feelings about that and you’re not alone in them because I’ve seen others talk about being upset by it, especially those who have dealt with addiction themselves or in people close to them.

I do think Harry romanticizes drug use in his songs and it’s been there since HS1, but it’s just gotten progressively worse with each album. With HS1, there was just a vague reference in Kiwi, with HS2, there was a lot of casual drug talk during promo, and then with this album, there are multiple casual references to cocaine like it’s a sexy, everyday part of life for him. Some of us (myself included) are not surprised by this if you’ve paid very close attention to Harry for a long time, but he presented a clean cut image on the drug topic for a long time. I think One Direction and Harry’s team fed this as well with those articles about Harry disapproving of Zayn and Louis smoking weed, which is ironic since weed is a lower level of drug than cocaine or even shrooms.

Now that he’s decided to embrace an image as a drug user, I think Harry’s privilege probably blinds him to how much he’s romanticizing a subject that really shouldn’t be. I also think he believes that his drug use makes him look and sound cool, which is why he throws in these references and does the motions on stage and has made his drug use a major headline during album promo. I think that’s part of his privilege too because he likely uses these drugs casually and isn’t suffering from addiction, but when you’re putting that message out to the world, there are people hearing it who do suffer from addiction or who might if they ever tried these drugs.

Obviously, other peoples’ choices in life and their addiction issues are not Harry’s fault, but he does have a young audience and could be more responsible on this subject when he knows what a massive influence he has. I think that’s a reasonable criticism and I don’t disagree with your feelings.
