talking about it under the cut

so uh explanation for this? my sonic fictive is a system.

most continuities are canon to this sonic, but they don’t remember much from a lot of them, but still kinda do? the current timeline he’s in is adjacent to game so most stuff that’s happened in game-verse happened in this timeline, but, again, still has bits and pieces from others in his head.

nicki and [classi] are essentially his past selves. nicki is the core, and [classi] came in to protect her, and took over for a while. nicki is sweet and extremely shy, while [classi] is brave, assertive, and a little bit of an asshole. they’re both mute. haven’t figured out who replaced them as host yet.

anita, [virtual], manic and sonia came around before sonic met tails. sonic was very lonely and didn’t have anyone to talk to until they showed up. anita was first. they’re all his siblings (sonic underground, segasonic bros) [virtual] was originally organic, but became a virtual hedgehog

rest are kinda introjects of his own forms and visual representations of memories. i’d like to draw the rest, but this is what i could draw on one page for now.

Decided to work on up-dating one of my early pictures of Tex and Church; I'm better at working wit the shapes of the characters, and also just have more practice drawing them in general. Plus, fancier outfits!

This is from my story-line where Church and Tex get to come back with synthetic human bodies, and now they can do people-things. Obviously, their physical appearances are similar to Allison and the Director (with DNA samples from them being the building blocks), but aren't literal clones. Tex is much taller, with broader shoulders and a stronger chin. Ironically, she resembles Carolina more than Carolina resembled her mother. Once she could work out, Tex made sure to put on some MUSCLE, and she's showing off her impressive arms. Her outfit is somewhere between classy-punk, dark colors with a splash of gold and a star (like the desert sky at night).

Church is sorter and more chunky. He initially was sort of weak when he first woke up in a new body, but once he was able, he started eating more, and putting on some weight, and he's eventually nice and chubby. He gains some muscle as well, because he can't NOT at least be strong enough to prove a point by being able to give everybody else piggy-back rides (his motivation is partially smug spite, and partially fondness for everybody he cares about). His hair sticks up like a soft hedgehog, and it's pretty thick. His outfit has a semi-sheer jacket, with shiny thread on the pattern by his shoulders (he accidentally looks like a formal "sandman" or something, and I think that works)

SHADOW- Ok so his S/O is Doll, so obvs I was drawing blanks, but I saw a website list Shadow as a nickname for a boyfriend... and spent 20 mins laughing my ass off about it. And nothing else worked better so I kept it lol. 10/10 name- I think Y/N deserves to call him Shadow the hedgehog all they like lol

Knight was easy lol- design and name wise. I already knew his S/O’s name was Prince/ss (depends on gender lol- and if you don’t like either of those just a neutral Royal title lol) so every good Royal person has a knight in shingling armor- so Knight it was lol.

SF:

Chardonnay- Ok I'll be the first to admit, I didn't originally plan on adding Noir when I started (More commonly Wine) so I was cool giving a wine name to Chardonnay and now there are two lmao. But I think Chardonnay is good for SF sans, Also his clothes? 20/10 in love.

Silver- ugh poor Silver, I'm gonna make him relive his trauma :[ but he was an addict underground, and was clean above, but now he's thrown back in the middle of it. So not happy :[ I chose silver as him name since everyone always names him after like money and such, and to semi-match Angel his S/O

Angst angst angst, Pumpkin! Took forever to decide on his name. His S/O is Lamb, so I almost went with smth like Steak, Bull, or Beast but I didn't like those. But remembered about calling people Pumpkin and fell in love <3 I would so call him that lol Also the handmade stitches in his clothes to repair them <333

But I didn't want Noir on it's own without the wine context lol. So he's got like two nicknames lol. He's super classy tho lol, I almost put him in a suit but I decided that was too much- so I settled for vest and dress shirt lol.

Same for (Coffee) Bean, I kind of wanted to just keep Coffee, but I re-did everyone else so I had too T~T But I wanted them all drink themed lol. His S/O is Cocoa lol so they both match on theme <3 But also- if you call 'em Bean you could get away with calling him a Beanie Baby, so win! lmao

What kind of music do frisk, lilac and chara listen to? Would they like kpop? :D

Chara is drawn to "anime music" (that is to say Jrock and Jpop, but they’re a kid and hasn’t gotten to understand the greater cultural contexts), as well as "hardcore rock" (that is to say, stuff like the Shadow the Hedgehog OST), and... on occasion, sophisticated and classy stuff with violins and pianos and intense orchestration and maybe they just need to listen to something that slaps as hard as World End Valentine because that would certainly awaken something inside them in terms of music tastes.

Frisk... is flexible? I feel like catchy melodies and cool chiptunes are a vibe for them because they like older video game (easier to get their hands on online), as well as like. Cheesy showtunes and groovy jazz stuff.

Lilac... hmmmmm. I think she'd really like lo-fi music because she takes her studies very seriously and it's good to have music to chill out to.

The second pull was the Ace of Teacups, Ace of Spears and 4 of Hedgehogs. See how the Ace of Teacups repeats itself? It’s present for both men and women, so I will repeat what I wrote above: “Ace of Teacups represents someone who is loving, easygoing, someone who is very open, with an open mind, to meet new people and live new experiences, who is not afraid to express themselves and their emotions.” Ace of Spears points to someone who will be honest and blunt, natural problem solvers, and they don’t dress frivolously, but with a clean aesthetic, maybe even minimalist and crisp. They both need to be passionate and easygoing, with an open mind, but the men show up as a lot more conflicted than the women, who appear as confident and emotionally mature, even though they might have this component of closed offness to their personality that will make them somewhat mysterious and kind of distant in certain situations.

Ch. 4: Hedgehogs, Honey, & Hazelnut-Covered Strawberries

Written for @hdcandyheartsfest day 4 prompt: bouquet. Many thanks to my beta @wqtson! 💛

Summary:

A chance meeting—or is it a setup?—leads to the start of a relationship filled with buttery baked goods, sweet smelling flowers, and hedgehogs.~ 🌹🦔

Draco took a deep breath.

The bell chimed as he pushed the door open.

“Hi, welcome to— Oh, Malfoy!” Potter stared at him in shock from where he stood arranging flowers.

“Hullo.” Draco looked around at the brilliant clusters of flowers and greenery seemingly growing everywhere along the all glass walls, which showcased even more flowers and plants outside, along with a sizable greenhouse in the near distance.

He had to admit—Potter’s flower shop really was quite gorgeous.

“Sorry, I’m just surprised to see you,” said Potter after shaking himself from his stupor. “How can I help?”

“I’d like a small bouquet for my bedside table,” said Draco.

Potter wiped his hands on a towel. “I can do that. Are there any specific flowers or colours you have in mind?”

“Er, that.” Draco pointed at the nearest flower, because no, he did not have anything in mind—he’d only come after stewing over Potter’s whole spiel about him the other day.

Of all the things he’d thought about Potter after the war, he’d never once even imagined that Potter had, well, wanted to be friends.

Odd how fate worked.

“…This?” asked Potter. “The Venus Flytrap? Are you sure?”

Draco took a good look at the flower he’d pointed at for the first time and his whole body visibly cringed away. “Oh, Merlin, no,” he burst out.

Potter laughed. “I can pick something out for you if you don’t have anything in mind.”

Draco immediately agreed, lest he end up embarrassing himself once again, and in return, he got to watch a stunning bouquet come together in Potter’s hands like magic as a variety of flowers floated towards him, all the stems neatly trimmed just so by flying sterling scissors.

“What do you think?”

The small bouquet floated towards Draco. Magnificent, white magnolias shone as the centrepiece, adorned by light pink and baby blue clusters of tiny flowers. Sprigs of green interspersed the elegant flowers, and on the outside of the bouquet, larger leaves artfully surrounded it like the frame displaying a masterpiece.

Something in Draco’s heart stirred.

For a bouquet made for him by Potter, it looked much more…charming than he’d thought it would. He’d thought Potter would pick bold colours, scarlet reds and blacks, but this….

This was elegant, classy.

Beautiful.

“I arranged it based on colours and meanings that remind me of you,” said Potter. “It’s magnolia, verbena, sweet alyssum, eucalyptus, and myrtle leaves. If there’s anything you don’t like or you want to add, I can change it.”

Draco blinked in surprise—he hadn’t expected Potter to put that much thought into the bouquet.

“No…,” he murmured after a moment. A small smile graced on his lips. “It’s perfect.”

Phoenix Wright: Hedgehog-haired dweeb who makes terrible puns. Cannot drive a car. The luckiest little shit on planet earth. Professional desk slammer and finger-pointer. Werk 👏🏼 that 👏🏼 smirk 👏🏼 boy, yaaaaaas. Edgeworth's husband. Maya's big brother.

Miles Edgeworth: Pinky out, sippin'. Tea tastes sweeter to the sound of Phoenix's howls of frustration as his husband falls into yet ANOTHER of his perfectly constructed traps. Always composed (dom), always classy (aftercare), a l m o s t as sexy as he is broody. Secret soft spot for Maya.

Mia Fey: Boobs... Appears randomly and without warning. Shape shifter? Boobs. "You're not thinking, Wright!" *Tells you something that is very obviously a clue because the text is now pretty colors, but it's either some blindingly obvious shit you already BEEN knew before the start of the case, or absolutely useless info that does NOTHING for you because it's couched in 40 fuckin layers of subtlety. There is no in-between. These hints are never helpful. Ever.*

Larry Butz: Stinky rat boy. Dumb. A walking (staggering) human disaster. Endearing in the worst way. Childhood friend of Phoenix and Edgeworth... If you can call it that. More like an acquaintance that you know everything about. Has had many girlfriends. Has never had sex in his life.

Maya Fey: Chaos Gremlin. Hamburgers. Touch ALL THE THINGS. Soft gorl. Killer outfit. *spooky ghost noises* Calls Phoenix "Nick." Too precious for this world. Loves the rivalry between Phoenix and Edgeworth... A lot. "Why do they let you in here? You are literally a child." "SHUT UP, NICK." Phoenix's little sister (Spiritually)

Detective Dick Gumshoe: A doofy puppy. A good boy. Very loyal to Edgeworth because he is a very good doggy who deserves all the pets. I cannot stress this enough okay he is literally a fuckin human Labrador. Brain OS is Windows Vista running half a gig of RAM, powered by a potato battery. Everybody better stop being mean to him right now or I WILL cry.

Judge: Believes anything anybody tells him all the time. Should not be a justice of the peace. A complete and total pushover. Physically cannot leave his chair in the courtroom because he lives there. Proba- No, definitely into BDSM. Simps for prosecutors and probably tries to bribe them with $20 to let him suck them off under their desks. Seriously who gave him this job??

Manfred von Karma: Beethoven's asshole ghost. Eats the happiness of nearby humans and shits gold leaf. Has never sat down because he can't bear to be beneath anybody else. Snaps that break the sound barrier. Will disintegrate if his skin comes into contact with the pure tears of a unicorn. "Stop making that face." "But this is just how I look." "I know. Stop."

Adventures of Sonic the hedgehog-Prehistoric Sonic (Screenshots & Review)

And now it's time for the finale!

Sonic and Tails are at the beach again, and it seems that Sonic has finally hit it off with some ladies, as a group of literal beach bunnies are playing volleyball - with Sonic as the ball! Professor Caninestein hurried onto the scene to tell Sonic that he's found out where the final emerald is - in the prehistoric times.

Tails is not impressed....

When our heroes catch up with the baddies in the prehistoric time period, the baddies have already managed to piss off some sort of local "teddy bear" tribe, and are making their way up a volcano because the Chaos Emerald of Life is located near its mouth. As they arrive, they meet a volcano god, who won't let Robotnik have the emerald unless he sacrifices "something of great value", so of course he decides to toss poor Scratch and Grounder in, being the jerk that he is. Robotnik is then granted the Emerald and we finally get some context as to what the Chaos Emerald of Life actually does - whomever yields it has the power to transform inanimate objects into living beings, and said beings seem to be automatically obedient to whomever brings them life, as well. Just as Sonic and Tails catch up with him, he demonstrates by creating some lava monsters, and thankfully, lava in this show doesn't function at all like it does in our world, seeming to be completely harmless to touch or be around.

Grounder hugs the teddy cave-bear king...but he doesn't appear to be into it. No hugs without consent, Grounder!

Nonetheless, the lava monsters are able to incapacitate Sonic and Tails long enough for Robotnik to escape with the emerald as well as scratch and Grounder, whom were thankfully unharmed by the weak-ass "lava". What follows next is a chase sequence through time where Robotnik is jumping quickly to each point that he had previously acquired the emeralds, using his newfound knowledge of the people and places he'd previously visited to quickly adapt to the problems he'd faced before and escape with each emerald. When they revisit the Mobegyptian tomb, Sonic just up and murders Robotnikhotep - which, while dark, is more an assisted suicide considering what he did in his own episode. This ends in managing to trap Sonic inside a fake treasure chest where the Emerald of Invisibility was - the chest turning out to actually be a Crabmeat robot! In another uncomfortably sexist/hetereonormative scene, Tails tricks the Crabmeat into flirting with a girl crab which distracts it long enough for Sonic to escape, and then the girl crab chases him with…a rolling pin. Get it? Because she's a woman? oh, 90s cartoons…stay classy.

Now that Robotnik has all 4 Emeralds, he attaches them all to a single necklace and holy shit - he turns into a fucking beefcake giant! He didn't mention THAT would happen in the beginning of this mini-series! When Sonic and Tails arrive in the present, Robotnik sends them all the way back to the big bang (which, if I saw this one as a kid, probably made me mad, because I was a little christian asshole). I found it cute that the big bang was represented by a giant stick of dynamite with a lit fuse. Thankfully, Sonic and Tails escape before the Big bang actually occurs, and are inspired to try going back to recruiting themselves from the times they previously visited. "We've got a date with ourselves!" as Sonic puts it. Gathering a small army of blue pincushions and fuzzball foxes, our heroes are all able to wear the big bad Robotnik down, snatch the emeralds and save the day. The other instances of Sonic and Tails return the emeralds to their original time periods, then destroy the time machine. Timey-wimey stuff is always weird with things like this - do the other instances of them just stay in different time periods? do they all stay in the same ones? do they have to live their lives in hiding so as to not cause time anomalies? It's a good thing the Twilight Sparkle from the badly written MLP show isn't around, because we've seen that her solution to multiple anomalous instances of the same individual is to just fuckin' murder them!

"We've got a date with ourselves!"

In the Sonic says segment, Tails seems to be showing some of that technical genius as he is working on the time hoverboard he and Sonic got from professor Caninestein - but he's apparently not quite there yet, being a 4 year old and all. Sonic warns him that it's very dangerous to try to perform modifications to electronic devices, and that a professional should take care of that for him. Robotnik shows up to conveniently demonstrate, stealing the hover board and getting himself electrocuted!

This was a fun little conclusion to this fun little mini series. A segment of this episode is dedicated to just quickly revisited past scenes from the other episodes, but they're still entertaining enough. Scratch and Grounder are pretty cute in the prehistoric setting, and the big fight with giant uber-buff Robotnik was neat, too. Next time, we'll be returning to episodes that I presume will be one-off stories again - but hopefully still just as fun. Til next time, be safe and be cool, folks!
