Just a complaint I have with the language I've been seeing in this fandom.

I understand genderbends. I like them myself as they were one of the things that helped me unlock my identity. However, it was my understanding that genderbends were best utilized in fandoms that were sausage parties. Aka a genderbends best habitat is with media that has an extremely male dominated cast. Resident Evil is very much NOT that kind of franchise.

There is a damn good variety of women in this franchise, and some have multiple appearances where you can get obsessed over them. You also can play as them! It genuinely looks like people are avoiding having to interact at all with these women characters when they decide to genderbend the male leads.

I love Clairejill but I think that a lot of the way people think of them is super ooc. Like starting off I think a lot of people assume that Claire is is a submissive shy personality when tbh I don’t think so. She was raised by Chris, miss has matching jackets with her brother that says “made in heaven.” And she drives a motorcycle😩 that woman is so badass. She confronted the chief of police for hurting sherry and carried sherry to find her a cure. She is strong as hell and has one strong ass personality. She is 100% a flirt. That scene at the door with Leon was so just her flirting even tho she is a lesbian. She flirts with everyone FR.

And Jill I notice a lot of people placing her as a dominate emotional brick. We all know that Jill has a strong personality but I just don’t think that is healthy for her, and also she definitely gives off switch in my opinion. She is an emotional person guys, I think people forget that. She jumped out a window with the full intent of killing Wesker and herself for Chris. She didn’t want to shoot Nickoli because she was scared it would hit Carlos. She is very sensitive, I think people forget that. She defo don’t give off butch vibes to me. Or top for that matter.
