Miraculous fanart: Chloenette Date + Miraculous rewriting: Chloenette AU (Prologue)
This is a Chloenette image and it exists in two versions (left: Normal version; right: lipstickprint/post-kiss version).
I think about an AU that diverges from the canon (Miraculous but Chloé is one of Marinette's love interests (alongside with Adrien and Luka and Zoé)).
Season 1 rewrite

The Story and its changes:
Prologue/Before the Season 1:
Marinette and Chloé are childhood friends.
Chloé is still a bully. She keeps her rude tone (Chloé being Chloé) towards the Miraclass but with a moderate level (drastically less bully than her canon counterpart during the pre-Queen Bee period (Season 1-2) and the Derision flashback).
Chloé commits some bad actions against random teens for fun (roasting language, pranks, school expellement threats) but she makes these at the low level, She is a "semi-bully".
Identically to canon, Sabine is still worried about Marinette and sees Chloé as a bad influence on her daughter. She calls Soqueline for care/protect Marinette.
Effectively, Soqueline knows Chloé is a problematic case at the Françoise Dupont school.
Soqueline wants to get Marinette away from Chloé for bring the former to the good path (even if Marinette is globally preserved from the Chloé's bullying if it was a little bit of).
Marinette has issues with her mother when Chloé is the subject of the conversation. Meanwhile, Sabine respects Marinette's choices.
Chloé is attracted by both Marinette and Adrien (Sorry, Sabrina ! 🤷♂️).
Following the next years (prior to the Season 1), Chloé develops a crush to Marinette and she gradually expresses that with her own manner. But Marinette misunderstands her. She just believes the "bully" is joking.
Marinette already knows Adrien but only from Chloé's words.
Adrien hears about Marinette but she never met before (because of the education his father imposes to him)
Chloé sees Sabrina as her associate (not yet equal friend but not sidekick).
Marinette is aware Chloé has a questionable behavior but she continues to hang out with her. She is hoping the blondie can be improved into a good girl.
At the classroom, Marinette seats with Chloé. But she switches places with Sabrina, her second friend (a more normal girl than Chloé in the beginning). That depends of Chloé's decisions.
In the beginning, Marinette's and Sabrina's relationship is a normal/classical friendship (not besties but equal).
In this universe, Marinette has no reasons to run away from Chloé because they are already "friends". So, she doesn't need any protection and she hasn't any interest to Kim. She just considers him as an ordinary trustful friend.
In this AU, the events of Marinette's flashback from Derision (5.14) never happened too (no trauma).
But Marinette will eventually suffer a love incident: It will happen at the Grand Hôtel when she finally accepts Chloé's feelings. The date will be supposed to be an experimentation for Marinette. It would be perfect for the two girls until someone comes to mess it all.
The person who will ruin the Chloenette will be not Sabrina, neither Kim (who dates with Ondine), neither Audrey (Chloé's mom who is still at New York in this moment) or neither Adrien (who is mourning his mother's "death"). It will be Socqueline.
Socqueline will have decided to secretly follow Marinette in mission of protecting her after she will have seen her to enter to the Grand Hotel (Chloé's home). Worried, she will come to thé Chloé's bedroom and she will surprise the two girls kissing each other on the bed (interupting them).
That will be enough for Marinette. Ashamed by the situation, Marinette will become mad, upset and angry towards Socqueline because of her overprotective behavior. It would have enough. And a infuriated Chloé will yell both Marinette and Socqueline to go out of here.
Marinette will eventually end up her friendship with Socqueline next to the incident. The latter will be sad and remorseful after the incident.
The last day of school, Chloé will announce to Marinette she breaks up considering the idea of romance between them as a ridiculous "mistake". By circumstance, the incident has affected the two girls. 💔
Marinette becomes the protagonist we know as in Canon.
Chloé remains the classical bully from the show. Despite she is still attracted on Marinette, she represses her feelings by turning her interest to Adrien.
End of the Prologue.
Bonus: Extended (sorry for the design of teenage people but it was fast)
From left to right:
Socqueline silently objects the cursed odd ship. She is resigned to respect Marinette's feelings.
Sabrina is heartbroken. She just wanted to confess her love to Chloé since the previous years but Chloé always didn't have cared about.
Zoé feels like troubled and sad about seeing her love interest and her half-sister dating each other. She is supposed to confess to Marinette.
Adrien feels like ignored while he sees his love pretendants making their date. In this AU, he can be used to be single. Plagg is hidden behind his holder's back.
Alya is confused. Her best friend dates her "bully".
Lila Cerise discretly watches the scene from afar with a sadistical gratification. She is planning to ruin the Chloenette couple for enact revenge for her exposure as "Lila Rossi". What girl do Cerise could destroy her life first (Marinette or Chloé) ? Or what girl do Cerise could seduce first ? (attempted Cerisette plan) 😈

Chloe groaned in her pillow while ranting to Sabrina.
"It's like she's EVERYWHERE! I could just be driving to school, and BAM! She's there!"
Chloe said inside her pillow, being barely audible.
"I'm sorry, Chloe, but who are you talking about?"
Sabrina sheepishly said.
"The baker girl, of course! Are you even listening to me!?"
She threw her pillow away, knowing Sabrina would pick it up later.
"Of course I was! It's just.. I thought that you had been thinking about Marinette a lot recently. Do you think you're..?"
Sabrina said, implying the idea of Chloe liking Marinette.
"After years of friendship, you still know nothing about me!"
She sat up on her bed, looking like she was about to scream.
"Ridiculous! Utterly ridiculous!"
And she did.
"More like in love, utterly in love."
For the rest of that conversation, Chloe couldn't properly form words. It was just inaudible mumbling and annoyed grunts.

Is there any ship from the show that you gate more rhan the Love Square?
This is pretty standard for me, but I really hate ships where people put a character and their bully in a relationship. It's just something I genuinely dislike and it always leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Examples being: Marinette x Chloe (ML), Marinette x Lila (ML), Dash x Danny (DP), Vlad x Danny (DP but this is also just something I find incredibly icky. Vlad is literally old enough to be his dad and all the people who ship them make me very uncomfortable to talk to) etc.
They try to sell it as enemies to lovers, but enemies to lovers to me are like in my heart Light x L (DN but like this will always be angsty with no happy ending unless it's an actor au), Selina x Bruce (Batman but like they are light enemies to lovers and speed run), Emma x Hook (oupat), Buffy x Spike (btvs), in my heart Merlin x Arthur (Merlin), Alvez x Garcia (CM but like they were more frenemies to lovers), Mindy x Josh (Drake & Josh), Mickey x Ian (Shameless), ect.
So yeah. I'm not a fan of Chloenette or Lilanette, people who are fans of them I have nothing against. You do you boo and I'll do me. I'm not gonna bash fans who love those ships, and I will never tell them not to interact with me, we could have a friendship as long as we treat each other's ships like religion. Which probably sounds absurd, but religion should be chosen by the person, and that person shouldn't shove their religion down other's throats in an attempt to make them change their beliefs.

ok now that I'm caught up on TBaT, have you (and everyone else) decided on who Chloe will end up with??
If not then I would like to nominate Sabrina, cuz I think that the angst that this ship brings would be nice to have in the au
The "ive known her since childhood and she always tells me where she's going to be so her not telling me now most mean that something happened to her" only to find out the nothing really happened would definitely hurt Sabrina and yes I know something did indeed happened but even after landing and all everything else Chloe still doesn't contact her or Adrien to inform them of anything. If anything she avoids them more (them and the miracuclass)
and aside from that them both knowing that they have to work first on fixing their friendship and healing eachother before trying to do a relationship with eachother would be a nice way to develop them both as character (???)
Chloe having the Batman and Sirens for advice (not that any had had actual healthy relationships expect for maybe one or two but their experiences do make them a little bit more insightful) and Sabrina having the miraculous cast (the rest of the parents) and the miracuclass
The Chloenette angst could also work for here but I think youll probably keep her with her trio so I don't think she'll be an option
Or if you decide to have a crossover ship like in phantom Chloe, she could go with Raven?
Honestly I haven't thought much on ships as the AU is very family focused lmao.
I think Sabrina would be the best option of the Miracuclass
Crossover ships are on the table but /probably/ not Raven because like. While Canon plays around with characters' ages, I like the 2003 cartoon so I always have her as a similar age to Dick in my head which puts her solidly in her 20s and out of Chloé's age range.

Miraculous Ladybug TRUTHS that Thomas Astruc will have to pry out of my cold, dead hands

Marinette is a bad Ladybug and an even worse guardian. She has the potential to grow, but that never helped anyone in this show...
Adrien is an excellent Chat Noir AND Misterbug! He has a tactical mind that serves him very well in battle, and realistically should be the one to lead the team, or at the very least, be the plan guy
Alya and Marinette's friendship being so fragile to Lila's manipulations is a direct result of the frequently ignored fact of them having LITERALLY ONLY MET AT THE START OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. They have the vibe of two lonely kids going "we're best friends now!" and really doing nothing to solidify that position in each other's lives, and that's... Actually completely fine, there are all kinds of friendships! Still literally no reason for Alya to be Marinette's LB confidant though lmao
Rose and Juleka are dating.
So are Nathaniel and Marc.
Chloe is one of the best superheros on the team, she's just genuinely good at her job.
Chloe is one of the smartest characters in the show. Most likely to be the one to figure out LB and CN's identities first.
Chloe and Marinette are two sides of the same coin, and tend to naturally mirror one another in a way that scares them both. The only real path forward for them is together, and no matter how much they may butt heads, they help each other grow.
Master Fu is a shitty guardian and an even shittier excuse for a mentor- and that's because he's neither. He's just a person that fucked up royally as a kid, and subsequently had to accept a role he was not willing nor ready for without ANY guidance after failing his first real test. He made about 0 correct or rational decisions in his tenure as the guardian, and as much as that sucks... He also isn't to blame for any of that him any more than the Order itself is.
The temporary miraculous holders is a dumb idea, and most of Ladybug's mistakes as the guardian are in some way results of that terrible concept. It keeps failing over and over, and she refuses to learn from it.

It isn’t that I hate Miraculous Ladybug salt, but I hate everyone’s portrayal of the characters.
And the excuse regarding Chloe by saying ‘it’s easier to forgive a bully trying to become better rather than a friend who broke trust’: I don’t buy it. Not in a million years would I ever forgive someone like Chloe that treated me so horribly. Maybe it’s just my experience with bullying and bullies, but I couldn’t ever forgive them; I’d rather have no friends instead.
Sure, Alya’s done some not-so good things, but she’s human. Everyone makes mistakes, and asides from that, she’s an amazing friend to Marinette.
I agree that Chameleon was a badly-written episode with poor characterization, but it was probably, in my opinion, the only one I didn’t like in season three. But keep in mind, it was just one episode.
Not to mention, Alya is clearly fricking worthy of Marinette’s trust. She was not given two, but three Miraculouses (even though she’s only used one)! Chloe and Kagami could never (despite the fact I really like Kagami).
Nothing is awful about her, and flaws in a character are completely fine.

I HAVE RETURNED!! (Kicks down the door) Why did I do that when I was already inside...?
Anyway, Angsty Chloenette AU! In which Chloe is the beloved idol of Paris, loved by all, but especially her supportive girlfriend/wife Marinette, even when the villainous terrorist Chat Noir hounds her for reasons she can't even begin to understand... except it's all a lie. Chloe used the Peacock and/or Butterfly Miraculous to trap all of Paris under her spell, living her ideal reality, free from the pain of her day to day life; she was surprised when her desire to have "all her dreams come true" resulted in her and Marinette being a couple... but she can't deny that she loves the time they share now. And she won't EVER let anyone take her happiness away!!
Meanwhile, Adrien, who escaped the brainwashing, is desperately looking for Ladybug while trying to convince Chloe to undo everything, hoping she'll see that this is wrong. At least now he knows that Chloe is interested in Marinette, maybe he can play match maker when this is all over!
Epic, this would make for amazing angst and fluff god damn. I think at the end, Chloe would give up her fantasy land after realizing she was only deluding herself at the end of the day. This is also an interesting route for Chlodrien friendship, ESPECIALLY if Chat is still in love with Ladybug.
They talked about what they wanted when they'll grow up. He wanted to explore and travel the world without anyone knowing him, she wanted the world to know about everything she loved and adored without looking at her in complete disgust.
She got it, but she also didn't. And him? He doesn't know what to take away from her to make everything better.

Authors note: I am so excited that I have multiple Chloenette and Ladybee promts in this challenge so I can explore so many dynamics in this relationship! For this one, I had to go with humor ^_^ (For those looking for romantic Chloenette don’t worry, it’s coming)
“Chloe, what are you doing?” Marinette asked as she stared at girl who was currently lounging in Alya’s seat.
“I’m sitting next to my best friend of course!” She smiled, patting the desk beside her, “Cesaire can sit over there. Isn’t that right Sabrina?” she called to her usual partner in crime.
“Of course! Whatever you think is best Chloe. I’m so excited we are getting new friends!” Sabrina grinned manically, giving Marinette an energetic wave.
Marinette slide into her seat. “What did you tell her?” she hissed, “I thought we were clear yesterday that a secret identity needs to be kept a secret!”
Of all the people to possibly find out about her alter ego, it had to be Chloe.
“Of course I didn’t tell her about… you know… I just told her that you and I ran into each other at a cafe and hashed out our differences,” Chloe whispered back. “So I was thinking we should go shopping together after class.”
“Why would you tell Sabrina that?” Marinette asked, praying that she could get this whole mess sorted out before Alya and Nino showed up. If she was lucky maybe today they would have one of their morning make out sessions and come racing in seconds before the bell.
“Well Sabrina is my best friend, I had to tell her something! Especially since we are going to be spending so much time together now. I didn’t want her freaking out and going all… invisible again.”
“What… time togeth… what are you talking about?”
Chloe gave her a pitying smile, “Oh silly, you don’t have to pretend anymore. I know you have to keep up the whole lame, clumsy persona so that people don’t figure out your secret, but you don’t have to hide from me! I’m your best friend!”
“No you’re really not.”
“And I know you better than anyone.”
“I seriously doubt that.”
“and just think, now you can be yourself around someone! Because we are truly together now. It’s like destiny. Me and Ladybug, just like it was always meant to be. And you know you can even act like less of a spaz and everyone will just assume that it’s because our friendship has made you that much cooler, and no one will suspect that it’s just your true self shining through.”
“Could this get any worse?”
“Chloe?” a new voice interrupted. “What are you doing in Alya’s seat?”
Apparently it could get worse, because Marinette looked up to see Adrien, looking confused, standing next to his own place in front of her. Great.
“Oh Adrikins! Marinette and I have decided to become best friends. It’s alright if I bring her with me for our monthly movie night on Thursday right?”
“Sure, I guess…” Adrien said still looking like he was expecting to wake up any second to find the whole conversation was a dream. Or maybe Marinette was projecting.
“I was thinking we could all go shopping first,” Chloe continued obliviously, “or maybe manicures because really Marinette we should do something about your poor nails. Oh! Before I forget- selfie!” She pulled out her phone, slinging an arm around Marinette shoulder and giving the camera a brilliant grin. Marinette scowled, then flushed self consciously when she noticed Adrien staring at them both with a strange, searching expression.
“Sorry!” Adrien said, shaking his head when he realized he had been caught staring, “deja vu… anyways I am glad you two are getting along now, it will be fun to all hang out together.” He gave them both an encouraging smile and slipped into his own seat, pulling out his phone.
Marinette sighed, slumping down in her chair. At least something good might come out of this. It seemed that Chloe was finally going to stop trying to ruin her already disastrous attempts to spend time with Adrien.
“So where should be go for lunch?” Chloe asked.
“Chloe, we are not going to lunch together,” Marinette said trying to channel her mother’s firm but quiet tone. “We are not best friends, and you need to go back to your seat, preferably before Alya gets here.”
“But you’re Ladybug.”
“Yes, but I am also Marinette. You know, the girl you picked on mercilessly for the last 5 years?”
“I know and I forgive you for that.”
“Chloe,” Marinette growled, “get out of that seat.”
“God, you’re such a bitch. So anyways I was thinking seafood…”

There’s More Magic Out There(or just Other Magic)- An au where magic other than the miraculouses exist. All of the main characters besides Adrien, Marinette, and Gabriel are magic of some kind, and the focus is on the background characters slipping by through the cracks of mundane human life and their true selves. The Monarchs Court- Inspired by Cornerverse’s Monarch fic where Chloe grabs Hawkmoth’s miraculous during Love Eater before he could try and akumatize her, however this goes differently than Corner’s happy ending. It’s a dark and pain filled story as Chloe falls from grace and sanity for the sake of Paris and for the goal to stick Gabriel Agreste’s head on a stake. She’s broken but driven. Queen of Queers: This is an au made of two fics, one is finished and the other is still in progress. Chloe’s an aggressive but supportive lgbtq ally that accidentally becomes the big sister of the class. Class sugar, and Lila redemption. Slow burn mutual pining Chlolix. Some angst. Chloe Knows All and Sunny Daze is the two fics to read for this author it’s on ao3.
Mafia Au: An au with multiple stories set in the same dystopian futuristic city. Kagami is protecting Marinette from multiple different mafias and criminal syndicates, Adrien learns the secrets to his father’s company with the mysterious voice in his head, Chloe helps Sabrina find her humanity again, and Kim tries to find the secrets of his forgotten past.
Juleka Works At Denny’s: crack au where it’s just Juleka working as an employee at Denny’s
Chloe Couffaine: Au where Chloe was adopted as a Couffaine at a young age and became a very protective punk old sister.
Anarchy’s Maidens: Crack au where Anarka, Penny, Nathalie, and Caline we’re part of a band back in high school-university but broke off due to their jobs and future careers.
The Phantom Hive- Chloenette Persona Fic where Chloe becomes a persona user and wrecks all of the corrupted individuals in Paris along with fixing her relationships with people and having a gay panic attack every five seconds and being dead inside. It’s on ao3.
Couffaines Adopt Rich Kids- Juleka goes with her ‘Kidnap Kagami’ plan and steals Kagami. They basically adopt her— and they continue to adopt more, leading to Chloe and Lila redemption. Absolute Feral Bastard Energy everywhere, along with found family and stupid chaotic shenanigans. You can read this on ao3.
Marikuma- An akumanette au where Marinette turns into a danganronpa themed akuma and puts the class (plus Luka and Kagami) into a killing game. It’s Alya centric, and while I’m writing a post about that, however people want to write the trials is completely up to them. Very flexible.
Mari on Ice- Yuri on Ice AU with Kagami and Marinette as Viktor and Yuri and Chloe and Alix as Yurio and Otabek
Demon Alya- Playing off of the joke that salt fix writers literally make her a demon, this is a very Alya Sugar au. Alya is a demon from hell, who needs to pay off her monthly soul quota, but accidentally learns humanity along the way when she becomes besties with the purest and kindest girl she’s ever met, Marinette. Rose is also an angel who’s trying to keep Alya from damning anyone to hell, but thanks to friendship, that’ll never happen anyways. Juleka is a paladin warlock multi class because of this.
Ml Rwby- They’re all in the world of remnant. Marinette is the team leader of ‘MAACL’ (”Miracle”) and the rest of the class is there too. They fight against the forces of evil, but for now, their biggest threat to their lives is high school. You can read it on ao3
