Listen, Doc Greene definitely knew about the bots the whole time. There is no way he didn't figure it out almost immediately. We didn't get to see his reaction when Chief told him but I'm confident it went something like this

Chief: Doc, nobody is supposed to know this, but with Frankie in danger it's important that you know what's going on. She's in good hands. The bots... aren't really robots. They're aliens. They'll take good care of Frankie and Cody, and get them home safe.

Doc: Oh I know.

Chief: You... do?

Doc: Yes??

Chief: But... how?

Doc: Chief, I build robots. I'm the lead scientist on an island full of advanced tech. I knew within the first week that those weren't robots. And so, the only logical explanation was aliens.

Chief: ...Ah, yes. Logical.

Chief: So... you've known this whole time?

Doc: Naturally.

Chief: But why didn't you say anything?!

Doc: I thought maybe they were self conscious. And besides, they've saved me and Frankie enough times that I'd hate to make them think they weren't doing an adequate job. They really are phenomenal actors. And pulling off all the rescues they do without letting anybody know? Incredible!

Chief:

Doc: Oh and I suspect Frankie knows as well

Cody and Frankie did in the Season 1 finale, and the kids all did in "Phantom of the Sea," but Charlie wasn't there with them for either of it.

Miracubots: Miraculous Holders (Bots)

New day new post, and yup, if you read to the end of the last part you where probably looking forward to this XD

As this is an alternate version of season 4, the invasion where the Bot's finally reveal themselves, doesn't occur meaning the Bot's are having to hide longer with the family bluffing that the bots where upgraded with a 'Defence mode' to cover up when the bots work to help deal with an Akuma attack.

Though, things can't stay secret forever, especally not with a villain who target's negitive emotion, and some bots who are less able to express themselves freely.

The reveal to the town that the bots are alive, happens when Heatwave reaches a breaking point with Kade's glory hog ways (Which he'd been slipping back into just a bit, especally after he got to use a Miraculous) And he ends up becoming the first Bot Akumatized.

This has pretty much everyone reeling as the bots and the Burns family had started to assume the Bots being alien where immune to Akumatization. But the revelation gives Cody an idea.

If a bot can be Akumatized, surely they can wield a Miraculous as well. And with a little nudge from a Luck charm on which to pick. Boulder is chosen to use the Pig Miraculous becoming Porcine Punch. The name was off the top of his head and he likes it too much to change it.

Porcine Punch with help from Beetletron and Felidae is able to stop Glory Hog in his tracks and calm him down with the use of his Gift to be deakumatized.

Two things about the Bot's as Miraculous holders:

Their altmodes change when their transformed to the animal of their Miraculous with their root form adjusting to the new altmode.

They may use different names as heros, but there's no secret identities going on, everyones knows who's who in regards to the bots. As Cody points out when giving Boulder his Miraculous infront of his brothers, people will figure it out within five minutes so why both trying to hide it.

Sadly the next Bot picked to become a Miraculous holder happens because of another Bot getting Akumatized as well. This time Poor Chase, struggling silently after the public reveal and getting treated poorly by a few towns folk struggling with the transition, becomes the horrorfying Akuma Emperata.

IDW fans are now screaming at me for inflicting that on Chase.

Heatwave this time is the one entrusted with a Miraculous becoming the Hero Tigereye with the....Well Tiger Miraculous. He also get's let in on Chief being Ranger as Beetletron asks his father for help as well to get them past the army Emperata is creating.

He's not even the only Bot to find out a humans secret ahead of the mass reveal as Blades accidentally reveals Dani revealed she's Hornet to him when their both called on to deal with a replicating Akuma. Hornet to sting the clones and keep them still. And Kitsune the new Fox hero to use his illusions to control and confuse the clones.

Blades is BEYOND happy to finally have a grounded alt mode.

Last but not least of the Bots to get a Miraculous is Chase, we haven't fully settled on the events surrounding when he get's it. But Chase out of the four arguabley get's the most powerful as he's entrusted with the Snake Miraculous becoming Aposis at Sass's suggestion for his hero name,

And yes. People do make the 'Theres a Snake in my Boot!' refrence regarding him and Chief XD

Cody angst? Cody angst.

(Head cannons and short story because I can)

Cody had been alone for most of his life

Well sure he would see his father brothers and sister at night for dinner usually but most of the time they were out working

And even when they were home they were usually to tired or busy to pay much mind to the youngest burns

It also didn’t help that his family were seen as heroes

in fact it’s to the point where they forget he’s a Burns, which leaves him all the more left out

And while he would never tell anyone this, especially after the bots arrived, he wished his family wasn’t a “family of heroes” because then they would be normal like he was and then he would have a family, one that actually paid attention to him

Not only that but between Graham’s smarts and Kade and Dani’s athletic skills no matter what he does he can’t stand out

No matter what he does he can’t be anything other than “the other one”

Cody rushed downstairs to the garage to greet his family who had been work the entire day before due to them being the only rescue force on the island, but yesterday they had all promised Cody that they would finally play some basketball together like they used to do before his siblings join his father and became rescue workers. He decided that he would get the court ready so they could get right into playing and his excitement only grew as each of his family returned, they would all finally have some bonding time! But instead of coming out to the courtyard they all went inside…. “That’s ok! “ He thought to himself “there’re probably just getting changed,” .

But as the minutes turned into an hour he decided to check on them,when he got to the second story of the firehouse he only saw his father who was grabbing some coffee that he’d made.

“Hey dad!” Cody greeted “ are you guys going to come down?”

“What for?”

Cody pause for a moment “ to… come and play basketball…. Like you all promised,”

His father looked at his confused before his eyes widened.

“ oh Cody… I’m sorry we-“

“Forgot?” Cody asked sadly

“Yes, I’m sorry son I promise tomorrow we’ll play that game with you we just had a busy day and got distracted,”

Cody knew he wouldn’t that none of them would.

“ it’s fine..” he mumbled out before making his way to his room

“You’ll just forget again…”

I just had a thought. With all the father figures we (you, me, and others) give Cody in our AUs, I think Charlie might be jealous and worry someone is trying to replace him as Cody's father.

Yes... and no (as my thoughts can't decode)

Let's remember that a lot of time Charlie feels guilty for not spending much time with Cody. He spent most of the day in the office, doing rescue work, or with his older children at work.

If we go by canon Charlie of course would feel worried (and very threatened) that someone, maybe younger, with more experience than him, with a more extravagant or normal life would become the missing time he can't spend with Cody.

Charlie is too old, and Cody was born late. Charlie already spent a lot of time taking care of the other 3 kids who have already grown as well. Who he has to blame for that, no one.

Charlie has an importing work that no one else could/want to replace, he is obligated to stay in that position until his body tells him to stop. And when that happens, Cody will have grown too, maybe have his own children and leave for somewhere else...

I like to hc (if the Burns family if 100% related) is that Cody got that self-doubt from his dad. Like, every one of his kids got a small part of him.

He would probably come to the conclusion or gaslight himself that this is the best way for Cody to not grow alone and without guidance. And come on, is not like Cody will actually leave his side or his family.

Cody also tries hard to spend time with his father. The fact that a bunch of guys he found on his adventures want to adopt them doesn't mean that Cody will accept.

No, the kid already knows where is his home.
