Seriously?
Pairing: Montana Duke x reader
Warnings: swearing.
Xavier smirked, trying to talk Brooke into coming to camp redwood with all of you. “Come on, it’ll be worth it!” He grinned at Brooke who nervously looked around.
You were watching him from the side while Montana watched you watch him, she always thought it was weird how you stared at him like that all the time. Montana naturally assumed you had a crush on him, I mean you two were best friends and always talked, it was only natural you two would end up together, right?
You felt eyes staring at you and looked over at montana who flinched, her cheeks flushing slightly, “What’s up?” You tilt your head at her and Montana looked at the ground, thinking of an excuse.
“U-Um, it’s nothing, just really excited for tomorrow.” Montana stammered out and you nodded. “Come on, let’s go wait for them outside.” You suggested and Montana smiled, nodding her head.
She followed you outside and you two sat in her car, after the others came out and talked to you two for a while, Montana couldn’t help but feel jealous as Xavier cracked a joke and you practically cried with laughter.
Montana is shooting daggers at him, Xavier notices at the end and grins mischievously, throwing a wink your way at the end before leaving. Montana has to stop herself from practically banging her head against the steering wheel.
As Xavier and Chet walk to Rays car, Chet grins at him, “So you and Y/n?” He chuckles and Xavier rolls his eyes and shakes his head.
“Nope, I just gave those two the best opportunity of their lives tonight though.” Xavier smirked and Chet raised an eyebrow. “The hell does that mean?” Chet asked and Xavier walked infront of him muttering a quick “You’ll see tomorrow.” Xavier opened the door to Ray’s car and Chet just sighed.
As you and Montana drove to your house you could see the obvious anger written on her face and the way she gripped the steering wheel. You placed a hand on her knee and she was pulled out of the thoughts in her head, “You okay? You’ve been acting weird all day..” Montana scoffed and gritted her teeth, “Yeah I’m great, just peachy.” Montana spoke sarcastically and you frowned.
“Is it because of Xavier? Because you only seemed mad whe-“ “Forget about Xavier!” Montana snapped, gripping the steering wheel harder until her knuckles turned white.
You flinched and pulled your hand away, crossing your arms and turning to look out the window. After a 20 minute car ride in awkward silence, Montana finally pulled up to your house.
“Thanks for the ride.” You muttered, opening the door and turning to leave. “Y/n, wait.” Montana grabbed your wrist and you sighed, looking back at her.
Montana tugged you back in the car and sighed, “Listen, I know you like Xavier but I-“ you quickly cut Montana off with a loud laugh.
Montana gave you a puzzled expression, your laughter died down at her confused expression, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to laugh, but you think I like Xavier?” You raised an eyebrow and Montana hesitantly nodded.
“God, ew! Xaviers like a brother to me dude.” You giggled and Montana gaped, she had really read the whole situation wrong.
“Wait, really? You don’t like Xavier?” Montana asks, hoping you say ‘no’. “God, just the thought of dating Xavier makes me sick, why did you even think that?” You say to her.
“I-I just thought, because how hard you laugh at his jokes and how well you two get along. I just thought it was obvious.” Montana shrugged, slightly embarrassed about how she overreacted about the whole situation.
“I mean, even if I did like Xavier, why do you even care?” You asked curiously and Montana looked over at you and gulped, ‘it’s now or never, I guess’ Montana thought while biting her lip.
Montana took a shaky breathe before looking in you the eyes, you could sense her nervousness and you gave her a small smile.
“I know it’s weird, and it’s totally cool if you don’t feel the same, but, I have a crush on you.” Montana muttered, hoping you didn’t hear the last part.
You looked at her mouth agaped and Montana grumbled. “I-It’s fine if you don’t wanna be friends anymore, I don’t care.” Montana stammered afraid you were angry as hot tears of shame were about to fall from her eyes.
You cupped her cheek and pressed your lips to hers in a quick peck before pulling back and resting your forehead against hers. “I feel the same way.” You grinned at her flustered expression before her eyes lit up.
“Y-You do?” Montana grinned wildly, you giggled and nodded, pressing another kiss to her lips. Montana leaned in to kiss you again before you stopped her quickly, Montana pouted and you smiled at her cute expression.
“Sorry, Tana, but if we’re gonna continue this we should probably go inside so no one sees.” You suggested and Montana nodded, getting out of the car.
You got out of the car and walked into your apartment with Montana. As soon as the door closed, Montana tackled you onto the couch, you grinned, wrapping your arms around her figure. Montana nuzzled her face into your neck, kissing the skin there, you giggled at the feeling of her soft lips on your skin.
“So, I’m guessing you’re sleeping over?” You chuckled and Montana grinned, sitting up and cupping your cheek. “If that’s okay with you.” Montana smiled shyly, you leaned in and kissed her softly. “It’s more then okay.” You spoke against her lips and Montana hummed, melting into the kiss as her arms wrapped around your neck. Maybe you should thank Xavier later for making her jealous.
