Just saw a whole post about how the murdered nonbinary kid was facing transandromisia and how they were "using transmasc to describe them because afab nonbinary felt disrespectful" like yeah... just say nonbinary!
It is literally misgendering to call someone transmasc who doesn't identify as such.
Moreover, there are specific words to describe the bigotry and violence they faced. Ceteromisia is specific to nonbinary people. Exorsexism encompasses genderqueer people in general, including visibly trans binary people.
Transandromisia is still a real problem. We don't need to erase ceteromisia and misgender nonbinary people to talk about it or prove that it's harmful and real. It's even possible that it was partly responsible for Nex's death without them being transmasc, because oppression and violence aren't based on ontological identity.
I blocked that person because I cannot handle getting into it with someone who might not take it well or be willing to acknowledge that they are actively participating in erasure of nonbinary identity and violence against nonbinary people but come on people. Stop with the "oh well it's just an umbrella identity". It's not. Transfem/transmasc labels also have nothing to do with agab, nor is agab necessary in this context at ALL.

"There is no such thing as binary privilege!"
Okay so tell me, when was the last time any big-name video game was released where you have the option of choosing to play as a man, woman, or nonbinary character?
Where are all the nonbinary action heroes, romance protagonists, ect?
Where are all the nonbinary characters in popular, mainstream media? Where is this supposed equality between men, women, and nonbinary people that I'm apparently missing?
Where are my options in the brand new $60 video games to play as a nonbinary character? Where are my options to pick from a list of pronouns rather than being forced to use she/her or he/him depending on whether I choose a female character or a male character?
Why can't I play as a nonbinary character in Skyrim without mods that are only available on computer, and only available at all because nonbinary people make them for other nonbinary poeple?
Where are all the nonbinary NPCS who play major parts in main quests that you are guarenteed to meet when you play the game?
If there's no such thing as specific disadvantages that nonbinary people face, then why can't I play as a canonically nonbinary character in any video game I want? Why can't I pick up literally any video game and at least see nonbinary characters even if I can't play one myself?
Binary people at least /probably/ get the opportunity to play a character who is the same gender and is refered to by the same pronouns they do. For nonbinary people it's pretty much literally impossible, especially if you solely use neopronouns.
Even with mods for Skyrim that let you pick or even alternate your pronouns, the options are still limited to he/him, she/her, and they/them, and that's it. And that's something the modder built by themselves for free.
There's no reason a company couldn't fairly pay its employees to incorporate more pronouns or better yet custom pronouns into their games. But it doesn't happen.
Not even The Elder Scrolls Online, which has plenty of gay, lesbian, and mspec characters, and now literally has the goddess of love say aspec rights, there's only one canonically trans character that I know of so far, and no nonbinary characters that aren't literally just from species that reproduce asexually. And I wouldn't exactly call any of the Sload "characters" in the first place, considering all the ones I've met literally just exist to say evil things and then be killed by you. (Sarcasm: Because bioessentialism, yay! /sarcasm)
I just literally do not understand how anyone can say that nonbinary people face no specific forms of discrimination when, even looking past Literally Everything Else including things that are literally life threatening, we can't even do something as simple as pick up a video game and play as a character like ourselves unless we literally just make up shit about them and ignore everything the game actually has to say.
If I want to play a video game, I have no choice but to be misgendered, whether I play as a man or as a woman. That is not a problem binary people face, cis or trans.
The only way you can think nonbinary people face no specific forms of discrimination is if you don't listen to nonbinary people when we tell you what our struggles are, even the most basic, "harmless" ones like the inability to play as a nonbinary character in a roleplaying video game.
Edit: Binary people can 100% reblog this, thank you for caring enough to listen and learn!

you personally hating being called "it" has nothing to do with other people using it/its pronouns. It's literally not about you. You not wanting to be called "it" does not mean it/its pronouns are inherently evil and bad. By that logic, because I hate being called "she", that would mean I'd get to say that no one is allowed to use she/her pronouns, otherwise they're being ableist and transmisic.
Which is patently absurd. And not how any of this works, or has ever worked, or will ever work.
The world does not revolve around you.
Either respect people's pronouns, or stop pretending you're not a transmisic.

I think someone should make a timeline of "oh look they're trying to recreate the gender binary using progressive-sounding language again" we've gone through.
these are not in chronological order because I can't be bothered but these are the ones I know, feel free to add any I missed.
female-presenting, male-presenting,
transmasc, transfem,
TME, TMA,
nonman, nonwoman,
just fucking someone should be keeping track of this. And then we can make a game of it and try to guess what new label they're going to slap on the boxes they're desperately trying to shove us into next.

I'd have no option but to be continually misgendered by the legal form I have to fill out so I can change my legal name.

Society if Martha Wells actually talks to nonbinary and other trans people and takes their words to heart and commits herself to doing better and works to make sure any new books she publishes are not only free of transmisia, but actively support nonbinary and other trans people.
Society if, if Martha Wells writes any more Murderbot books, she retroactively fixes a major source of the exorsexism in The Murderbot Diaries by revealing that Murderbot is literally trans and was assigned a different gender and pronouns upon construction, but literally hacked the system to overwrite its gender and pronoun assignments to be "indeterminate" and "it/its" and that, literally as a blatantly observable fact of capitalism that she can and should play off, any employees who did notice just literally did not get paid enough to care enough point it out to any superiors or give a single shit.
Society if Martha Wells introduces more bot and construct character who are binary trans or genderfluid or not literally /just/ agender.
Society if Martha Wells has one of the main reocurring humans characters come out as nonbinary to solidify the fact that literally anyone can be nonbinary and you can figure this out at literally any age or stage of your life, rather than just being something that only robots or aliens can be:

[ID: Three screenshots from the show The Good Place, showing Eleanor and Chidi talking, in the format of the "Okay, but that worse" meme, now edited so
Eleanor is saying cheerfully: "Actually, it's not a problem that people erase everything that makes Murderbot who it is, because it's just a fictional character. It doesn't hurt anyone to erase literally everything that makes Murderbot unique as a character."
Chidi responds, "Okay, but do you realize that Murderbot represents real oppressed people? And by erasing the parts of Murderbot that represent real people, you are literally contributing to the very real erasure and oppression of real people?
Please tell me you understand that erasing real oppressed people's only positive representation is literally further oppressing them.".
End ID.]
I think you all need to go back to How To Be An Ally 101. Because you sure love treating real bigotry like it's nothing more than silly internet discourse.

[ID: The "corporate wants you to find the difference between this picture and this picture", meme, edited so one paper says: "Cis people saying they won't respect your pronouns because it makes them uncomfortable" and the other says, "Trans people saying they won't respect your pronouns because it makes them uncomfortable". In the second panel, the character has been replaced with a drawing of Murderbot wearing its grey armour, with a yellow and black pronoun pin that reads, "my pronouns are it/is". It's dialogue reads: "It's the same exact transmisia". End ID.]
I can't believe I made this exact same meme format twice. And apparently completely forgot to post this version. This is hilarious.
anyways can you believe people in The Murderbot Diaries fandom willingly and purposefully misgender the protagonist of this series? I'm not even talking about people who've only just started the first book and don't realize its pronouns are actually it/its, I mean people who've read all the books and just straight up refuse to use it/its pronouns for Murderbot or any other character, because they insist it'd be "dehumanizing" (They're literally not human! try again!) and insulting.
So they pretend it's okay to misgender Murderbot because supposedly, it/its pronouns are the ultimate evil and not even people who choose to use them should be called by them. Because transmisia's okay as long as it's against trans people you don't like, apparently!!!

okay fuck you tumblr.
original post made July 21st 2022. Tumblr won't fucking let me edit it so here it is again!!!
---
no, people, being "trans and ace" does not give you the right to defend or downplay amisia against specifically aroace people who are sex and romance repulsed. It does not give you the right to defend ableism against people who are touch-averse. It does not give you the right to defend transmisia against specifically nonbinary people who use it/its pronouns.
I do not give a single flying shit if you're trans or aspec.
You do not have the right to downplay amisia that is specifically targeted at aroace people who are sex and romance repulsed.
You do not have the right to downplay transmisia that is specifically targeted at nonbinary people who use it/its pronouns.
You do not have the right to downplay ableism against people who are touch-averse.
No, being fucking neurodivergent or trans or aspec does not give you the right to shit on and defend bigotry against people being targeted by specific forms of amisia, transmisia, and ableism that do not fucking impact you.
Being aspec does not give you the right to downplay and defend bigotry against specifically aroace people.
Being trans does not give you the right to downplay and defend transmisia against specifically nonbinary people who specifically use it/its pronouns.
Murderbot represents real fucking people who actually exist. If you allow people to erase the things that make Murderbot who it is, you are allowing real fucking bigotry to take place. Amisia in fandom is real amisia. Ableism in fandom is real ableism. Transmisia in fandom is real transmisia.
If you are more offended by me calling out the transmisia, ableism, and amisia in this fandom than you are about people in this fandom being transmisic, ableist, and amisic, then you just need to admit you don't actually like or care about Murderbot. Because you can't actually bring yourself to treat the people it represents with respect.
Either actually fucking support people who are like Murderbot by calling out bigotry when you see it, or at the very least boosting our fucking voices, or just admit you think we don't deserve respect.
Do you think I enjoy seeing bigotry targeted at people like me literally every single time I type the word "Murderbot" into the search bar? Do you think you're supporting people like me by forcing me to be the only one to talk about this shit?
If you support aroace people, if you support people who don't want romantic or sexual relationships of any kind, if you support people who are touch-averse and nonbinary and use it/its pronouns, then prove it.
You need to prove it. Either by supporting people who do call out the bigotry in this fandom, by reblogging our (yeah, that's really fucking optimistic) posts, or by making your own.
The only way to make this fandom actually safe and welcoming for people who are actually represented by Murderbot is if the people who are not represented by Murderbot actually do their fucking part.
You want to be an ally? Then prove it. You cannot make this space safe for aroace or touch-averse people if you're not willing to make it hostile to amisics and ableists. If you're welcoming to both bigots and their victims, then you're going to end up with only bigots.
If you think people being ableist and amisic by shipping Murderbot is just a small section of the fandom that most people condemn, then why the hell have I never seen any posts other than mine condemning it?
If this fandom is supposedly so welcoming to aroace and touch-averse people, and people who use it/its pronouns, then why do I never see anyone but me calling people out when they're willingly transmisic and amisic and ableist?
If you think I should just shut up and not say anything and ignore it when people perpetuate bigotry that affects me personally, you are in fact one of the reasons these people think it's okay to do this shit in this fandom.
You either make this place hostile to amisics and ableists, or just admit it's not actually welcoming to aroace and touch-averse people.
You can't have it both ways.

so exorsexists and transandromisics really just went "yeah sure I'll believe that, I agree with you, this is something we agree on" when TERFs say AFAB people are identifying as trans to escape misogyny, huh?
Like these people are literally just doing the "thanks, Satan" meme at TERFs. Literally just going off of what TERFs say and pretending it's undisputable fact.
