Astrology Observations - Moon & Aspects

The Moon holds the delicate strings of our emotions, instincts, and innermost desires. When intertwined with other celestial players through aspects, the Moon's melody takes on unique harmonies and rhythms. Let's dive into the rich tapestry of Moon aspects, exploring how they color our emotional landscape.
Moon Square Mars - The Fiery Tempest: A Moon square Mars aspect ignites a passionate storm within. Emotions can surge like a roaring wildfire, often accompanied by a fierce determination. These individuals are unafraid to confront challenges head-on. However, this fiery intensity can also lead to impulsive reactions and occasional emotional clashes, akin to a tempestuous tango.
Moon Square Venus - The Dance of Sensuality: Moon square Venus creates a captivating dance of sensuality and emotional yearning. These souls crave deep, passionate connections, and their emotions are colored with a romantic brush. Yet, they may find themselves entangled in complex love affairs, where desires clash with emotional needs. This aspect weaves a tale of love's sweet agony.
Moon Trine Chiron - The Wounded Healer's Grace: In the Moon trine Chiron aspect, there's a profound understanding of emotional wounds and the gentle art of healing. These individuals possess a natural gift for offering solace to others, as their own emotional scars have nurtured empathy. The Moon's nurturing essence combines harmoniously with Chiron's healing touch, creating a soothing balm for their own and others' pain.
Moon Sextile Neptune - The Dreamer's Serenity: A Moon sextile Neptune aspect paints a dreamscape of serene emotions and boundless imagination. These individuals find solace in the ethereal realm of art, music, and creative expression. Their intuitive insights often lead to moments of tranquil clarity. However, they may need to ground their dreams in reality to avoid drifting too far into the realm of fantasy.
Moon Opposition Saturn - The Inner Struggle: Moon opposition Saturn sets the stage for an inner struggle between emotional needs and responsibilities. These individuals feel a profound sense of duty and may grapple with their own desires versus societal expectations. It's a cosmic tug-of-war between vulnerability and stoicism, where emotional growth often emerges from the tension.
Moon Conjunct Uranus - The Electrifying Heart: A Moon conjunct Uranus aspect electrifies the emotional landscape, infusing it with innovation and unpredictability. These individuals possess a unique, avant-garde approach to feelings, and they embrace change with open arms. Yet, this electrifying energy can also lead to emotional surprises and sudden shifts, akin to a lightning strike of insight.
Moon Trine Jupiter - The Heart's Abundance: In a Moon trine Jupiter aspect, the heart revels in a sense of abundance and optimism. These individuals possess a deep well of emotional generosity, often extending their warmth to others. Life's challenges are met with a buoyant spirit, and their emotional landscape blooms with gratitude and growth.
Moon Square Pluto - The Depths of Transformation: Moon square Pluto delves into the depths of emotional transformation. These individuals navigate intense emotional terrain, akin to a phoenix rising from its ashes. Their emotions are a crucible for change, but this intensity can also lead to power struggles and a relentless quest for emotional rebirth.

In the Moon aspects, each harmony and dissonance contributes to the symphony of our emotional lives. These observations offer but a glimpse into the complex interplay of planetary energies that shape our emotional landscape, reminding us that our astrological tapestry is as intricate as it is unique.

There is a vital part of Fallen London that the railway has recently given me a new lease on, so I'd like to talk about it for a bit. The topic in question is the colours of the chessboard: White, Black and Red.
In their purest form, these categories are the sides of the Great Game. White represents light, law and order, but also hierarchy and restriction. Black represents darkness, freedom and equality, but also chaos and uncertainty. Red represents... neither of those.
In the context of the Great Game, Red is typically just in it for itself, ideologically neutral. Many of the branches which require having a specific colour on the chessboard require White/Red or Black/Red – while the monochrome pair are doing the act because they believe in it, Red is just doing it as a means to an end.
The Great Game isn't the only place this trichotomy exists in Fallen London, though. Many choices can be linked back towards the trio:
Identified with a School is one of the most obvious: the light-loving Celestials, the avant-garde Nocturnals and the explicitly venal Bazaarines.
The sides of the Parabolan War: the Cats, the Fingerkings and the Chessboard.
The Youthful Naturalist's qualities (and their associated endings): Acceptance, Cunning and Malleability.
Even the BDR stats are loosely aligned: Respectable, Dreaded and Bizarre.
But the triplet that has fascinated me recently is that of the factions of the Tracklayer's Union: the Prehistoricists, the Liberationists and the Emancipationists. All three factions are revolutionarily-minded, but their diversity brings a lot more texture and depth to the dynamite faction than the exclusively liberation-focused view we've had previously. While this is definitely a good thing, and has helped me figure out more diverse opinions on the revolution for my characters, the thing I want to focus on is Emancipationism.
Similarly to many of the incarnations of the trichotomy, Red is a bit of an outlier. The Prehistoricist utopia is a perfected system which serves those it governs; the Liberationist utopia is one without a system at all.
The Emancipationist utopia is everyone getting fed.
This placement of Red as a sympathetic side, and a creator of current good, is very refreshing. The writing itself admires that thought, too. In a balanced city, while the other two factions plan for the future, the Emancipationists are doing tangible good in the here and now: making sure everyone survives to realise their grand plans. It keeps the fundamental core of red, its apartness from the ideological battle, and turns it to something kind. Red is not just the dilettantes playing the chessboard for profit (though it is, still, them,) but it is also those agents trying to do good, no matter which side it happens to serve. It is the artists who pursue beauty in whatever style strikes them in the moment. It is those who war for the sake of peace.

The Hubs of Humanity 1
Prologue:
Back in the early 23rd century, as humanity began spreading its wings into the cosmos, the European Space Convention envisioned a groundbreaking project. They named it HUSB – Harmony of Urbanity and Space Bridges or as the public called it “The Hubs of Humanity”. At the projects core stood the idea to create a network of space stations and infrastructure pieces, each intricately designed to reflect Europe’s intricate designs and reflecting the architectural wonders of a wide range of European cities. It was like taking a slice of Paris, a bit of Barcelona, small snippets of Amsterdam and tiny amounts of Vienna and sprinkling their iconic look´s into the seemingly infinite abyss of interstellar space. The cities in the sky fostered significant cultural exchange, scientific collaboration, and good old human connection. Picture space stations modeled after the elegance of avant-garde designs of Berlin, the timeless charm of Rome or the sophistication of the medieval center of Prague.
Construction kicked of on a massive scale and for a while the project was the talk of the galaxy. The stations became marvels of their own right, embodying the spirit of humanity and its creativity. But as fate would have it, the early days of the 24th century brought a devastating cosmic cataclysm. An insidious computer virus, born from the depths of the digital unknown, infiltrated the project´s communication networks and databases. It spread like a raging wildfire, leaving chaos in its wake, and toppling the human economy and causing the once-thriving interconnected system into disarray. The fallout left a haunting legacy for the project, as the collapse progressed and databases where wiped clean many station dwellers decided to abandon their ships, leaving them adrift and causing them to vanish into the vast expanse of space without any trace left. They became cosmic ghosts, silently orbiting in the darkness, their stories and beauty lost to the void.  Quickly forgotten by the rebuilding civilization that emerged from the ashes. Their memory fading into obscurity becoming fragments of an era long gone by. The civilization moved continually forward, leaving behind the mysterious past.
Many generations passed, and with the shift of cosmic currents, some of the long-forgotten stations reemerged from the cosmic background, having become new, beautiful obscure or even haunting shells of their former selves. Slowly many of them revealed new and diverse tapestries of fates. Some not just remnants but thriving hubs of life, sustained by reformed ecosystems and their resourceful inhabitants which had found a way to adapt to the sudden challenges of having to find ways to sustain their ways of living in space. Others had undergone large alterations, their original purposes re-imagined by advanced AI and machinery which was once designed to keep the stations operational. These technological custodians ensured the continued existence and advancement of these magnificent stations, evolving them into marvels of automated efficiency and sustainability.
The Hubs of Humanity: Aetherian Arboretum
Now after many of them had been long forgotten and become legends of a marvelous past the first of these celestial relics appeared at the edge of Humanities capital solar system. As it floated trough the vast reaches of the cosmos by pure chance it passed the outermost surveillance satellites of the Human system SOL1. There it was a space station which echoes the grandeur of an age long gone. A picturesque and mesmerizing blend of elegance and the neon glow of a bygone era. Tall ornate structures with their sinuous curves and intricate floral motifs rise from the main ring like structure and into the star lit fabric of space. Facades adorned with dim luminescent neon colors cast a surreal picture upon any eyes there to observe it. As it silently orbited throughout the cosmic ballet of space rocks of a region referred to as the Oort cloud it was greeted by a group of space vessels. Drawn towards it they cautiously approach the abandoned celestial haven.
As a group of explorers set foot onto it for the first time again, they marvel at the fusion of design and cosmic functionality. As they wander the deserted streets, the air is filled with an eerie silence, only broken by the occasional rustle of leaves and the distant hum of nature overtaking the space. Vines gracefully cascade town the sides of once bustling structures as they intertwine wit the fading light of neon signs that once proclaimed the names of businesses now long forgotten. The corridors and walkways once trodden by station dwellers, now play host to a delicate tapestry of nature. Moss covering lower grounds and growing through cracks in the flooring and resilient ferns and flowers also pushing their way through the seams. Tables, doors, and windows adorned with wrought-iron designs being claimed by encroaching vines. The almost ghostly neon glow flickering and casting a dreamlike scene into the explorers´ eyes. The grand arches and domes of the once famous trading hub now softened by the embrace of ivy and climbing roses.
Amid this fantastic scene of haunting beauty, unexpected inhabitants had found their niche – flocks of chickens, descendants of once domesticated birds, had adapted to the continuous darkness of the abandoned space station. Their plumage had taken on otherworldly beauty as it reflected the surrounding hues of dim neon lights. Their feathers colored in ethereal blends of deep purples, electric blues, and luminous greens they created a mesmerizing spectacle of shimmers and shadows as they moved through the silent station. These avian inhabitants adapted to the perpetual darkness of the station developing nocturnal rhythms and clucking that harmonized with the faint hum of the station´s former vibrancy. They had become the unexpected guardians of this rediscovered neon-lit legacy.
As the explorers reluctantly tore themselves away from these mesmerizing scenes, they delved deeper into the bowels of the ship, where they uncovered relics and objects of the once flourishing and passionate inhabitants. It also became evident that the station had undergone its profound metamorphosis, triggered by the exhaustion of its fusion systems and batteries several generations ago. The once state-of-the-art machinery had gracefully transitioned into a state of energy conservation. Basic life support systems hummed softly, maintaining the atmospheres delicately balanced atmosphere as the surroundings were bathed in the perpetual dim glow of neon lights, nurturing the lush flora overtaking the stations interiors. The artificial gravity modifier, a relic of advanced technology, continued to function on a minimal level. Its low persistent hum serving as an unseen orchestrator, allowing the abundance of plants and neon-feathered chickens to thrive in their cosmic sanctuary.
As the explorers continued their way through the corridors, they marveled at the ingenious processes that had sustained the stations delicate balance over the years. In this cosmic tapestry, the explorers sensed a quiet resilience. An enduring legacy left by a bygone era that unwittingly had given rise to this flourishing microcosm. The space station, now reemerged as a living testament to adaption, whispering its story of metamorphosis through the hushing echoes of its few still operational automated systems, the soft neon-glow of plant lights, and the vibrant clucks of chickens against the backdrop of the celestial stage.
With high anticipation, the explorers access the ship´s extensive database, eager to unveil the secrets hidden within the almost dreamlike structure they had been navigating. As the displays flickered to life, they revealed intricate schematics and blueprints of the station. The designation “Aetherian Arboretum” adorned the digital representations of the mighty station´s architecture. The name resonated with an ethereal quality, capturing the essence of this celestial haven. Armed with the new knowledge of the station´s identity, the explorers felt a deeper connection to it. As it stood as a testament to human ingenuity and the enduring spirit of exploration as it transcended its initial purpose as a hub of exploration and trade, evolving into a beacon of life amid the cosmic abyss. The name now etched into humanity’s records once again it was soon to become a thriving celestial haven again.
The news of the Arboretum´s rediscovery and its unique transformation captured the imagination of Earthlings in a wildfire. Recognizing its unique historical and ecological significance, authorities and swiftly declared it a protected zone and placed it under historic and natural preservation. The once-abandoned station a testament to the harmonious coexistence of nature and technology, underwent careful restoration with the goal of preserving its unique atmosphere while allowing eager tourists to experience the surreal beauty of the station in a small selected section. During the beginning of its restoration, the celestial sanctuary was moved in a stable orbit around Saturn, creating a celestial backdrop that added to the mystique of the cosmic destination. As visitors disembarked onto the transformed space station, they marveled at the now again neon-lit arches, domes and towers, the vibrant flora and the more than enthusiastic clucking of the specially adapted chickens. Educational Programs were established quite quickly to inform about the Arboretum´s rich history, its transformation and the unique ecosystem within it. Conservationists closely monitoring the neon-feathered chickens, ensuring their well-being and natural behavior are not disturbed in any significant way. As the space station orbited Saturn, the "Aetherian Arboretum" stood not only as a destination for eager earthlings but as a symbol of the boundless potential for exploration, preservation, and the celebration of the cosmic wonders that unfolded beyond the confines of Earth.

Ciel, oh illustrious maestro of celestial waltzes, let our hearts entwine in a cosmic tango, where the stars themselves envy our chemistry. Dante, you enigmatic soul, let's fuse our essences into the ultimate trinity of weirdness and love!
In the symphony of existence, our trio shall be the avant-garde notes that confound even the most erudite celestial beings. Together, we shall rewrite the manuscript of love until the universe blushes!
Shall we embark on this journey to the cosmic altar, where space and time themselves shall bear witness to our unorthodox union? 🌌💃🤵‍♂️👰‍♂️
Thank you for making TSTT!<3
I—Thank you....?
That reminds me, Dante knows how to waltz. He knows an arrangement of dances actually and languages, though he has his favorites.

Chum 88: Sam & Jamila
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Every square inch of the walls is an explosion of color and imagery, plastered with an almost obsessive collage of framed photographs, concert posters, album covers, and assorted memorabilia. I spot familiar names and faces amidst the kaleidoscopic jumble – the snarling visage of Rage Brigade's frontman Leon Riot, the iconic poster art for Mythmongered's platinum-selling concept album, Celestial Lore, of which Jamila has told me every last minute detail. But for every recognizable icon, there's a dozen more arcane sigils and symbols, esoteric band logos that might as well be hieroglyphs for all I can decipher them.
It's all so beautifully, iconically her that I can't help but grin in sheer adoration. Sure, to the casual observer this place might resemble the habitation bunker of an eccentric metalhead hoarder. But I know better – every crumpled t-shirt and stray guitar pick is a puzzle piece in the mosaic that is Jamila.
She slides up alongside me, draping one deceptively strong arm around my shoulders as she gestures lazily at the anarchic collage surrounding us. "I put a lot of thought into which new pieces of sonic artistry to put up this month."
The unexpected formality of her phrasing coaxes a startled laugh from me. "Is that what they're calling Hot Topic posters these days?"
Jamila scoffs in mock offense, jabbing me playfully in the ribs. "You jest, but these walls represent the bleeding edge of the underground indie avant-garde scene, Small. One of these bands could be the next big thing!"
I arch a skeptical eyebrow. "And just which visionary aural sculptors do you think are primed to take the world by storm? Flenser Leviathan?" I point to a particularly skull-laden logo, all spiked letters and malevolent red imagery. "Or maybe Nomicon Nox?" My finger shifts to indicate an album cover awash in grotesque, vaguely Lovecraftian designs.
"Those are pronounced 'Flence-air' and 'Nom-ih-cone', you uncultured cretin," Jamila retorts without missing a beat, sticking her tongue out at me. "But I'll let it slide, since you plain-folk aren't expected to grasp the intricacies of the extreme avant-doom scene."

Prompt 6 is has yandere Longan dragon vibes. You could possibly add on to the Longan dragon offering yandere story but that's just me.
Sorry for the long wait ;-; I’ve had so much music practice lately I don’t have as much time to write.
This is kind of an offering idea, but it’s still quite different. It’s primarily reader seeing Longan as a god.
Tw: Mentions that MC eats fish, Getting struck by lightning, unhealthy worshipping, Longan takes MC with or without compliance, MC almost drowns
Prompt 6: “Let me take you away~ All to myself for eternity.”
——————————————————
Your eyes flutter open, the dawn’s early light beaming in. It burns, forcing you to close your eyes for a few seconds before once again opening them. Groggily sitting up, you take in your surroundings.
The gold-colored shrine stood before you, the offerings from yesterday still upon the small table. A painting of Longan Dragon hangs behind the furniture, its colors dimmed by the overhang of curtains. Their face dead with no emotion; piercing a slight terror into your being.
Ah how you wished they were here in front of you. You could witness their power and show your absolute devotion to their superiority. If only they had not locked themselves away in the depths of the sea.
You can imagine the celestial presence. Descending upon you as your heart lays bare for their taking. All you demand for is the acceptance of your love for them; to let you be to their service in numerous ways; for it was your purpose in this grotesque world called the Universe. Just how long must you wait for their arrival?
A few yells from the citizens from your yard  brings your attention back to your place, in front of the shrine where your arms nestle on the table in a crossed state; the limbs numb from you sleeping on top of them. Outside, you hear the birds chirp wildly as the town awakens to a new day.
Looks like it is time to leave the divinity again.
——————————————————
You were always curious about the world around you. Wanting to know how to create it, and the purposes of the creatures that live upon Earthbread. Many theories and explanations, detailed with evidence. Yet none seemed to satisfy the longing your heart held. That is until you find a data book at the deep end of a library.
Its writings overflowed with knowledge a mortal could not possibly muster on their own; the creation of the lands, the deities who ruled the sea and sky, the worthier beings who dominated the lesser cookies, and so on. It all unbarred an avant-garde perspective on you. Particularly, the five dragons who ruled the islands of Soda.
Their power was unparalleled to the cookies who also inhabit the same places. The heavens and underworld below sung in praise for their work in keeping those of uselessness below. Maintaining a level reign of hierarchy.
One may think they are the elite of the strongest. However, there is one who rules over the other four. Encased in gold and cream-colored silk--Longan Dragon held all the vigor possible.
Yet despite this prowess they hold, they still desire to succumb to the darkness of the waters and only awaken when someone dares to threaten their title: which is never. Leaving them in a slumber of eternity, unknown to the rest of the world except for their kin who scatter about on the islands surrounding their resting place.
They are what you have been looking for since the day you could think. The one who held knowledge of everything. The one who could answer all your questions. They are the key to your Enlightenment.
So, to achieve your ambition, you have started to worship them, in hopes of them appearing before you with the guidance you seek. Lamentably, they have yet to come. No matter, you will continuously wait for your celestial divinity.
——————————————————
Your house is running out of food, especially fish. You sling a net over your shoulder. You then saunter over to a narrow boat. Cautiously entering in, you steady yourself along the sides of the wood. After checking items needed for fishing, you push off from the shore.
After drifting out on the ocean for a while, you throw out the net. Watching it descend like silk into the clear waters. After a few minutes of vigilantly sitting, you pull the net up, a bundle of fish appearing from the blue abyss. Loading the weight onto the boat, you open the trap. The fishes flap helplessly, desperately wanting to escape the demise of death. You hurriedly shove them into a box full of salt, keeping the freshness as well as possible.
You observe the vast blanket of liquid, noticing the waves rolling in slowly. It is peaceful, unlike the bustling village you reside in. Nothing seems to be in distress, just floating on the surface without care in the world. How ideal it would be, not having to worry about such problematic matters of civilization.
Without warning, lightning strikes down on the water not too far from your spot, causing sudden turmoil. The waves all at once crash towards your small little ship, making it wobble violently. Conveniently, you are skilled with these situations, paddling smoothly against the impact. Yet it is as though life has other plans for you.
On the spur of the moment, a giant creature shoots up from the depths, its long body twisting and turning. Meanwhile, appalled by the sight, you do not register the flash heading in your direction. It struck your chest, burning you.
You cry out in pain, toppling over the walls of the boat. In a mere second, the ocean greets you, enveloping your tiny body. Bubbles blow up from your mouth. Air floating out into the darkness.
This is it. You are going to die.
Looks like you will never get to see your divinity--Longan Dragon.
A sudden force then fishes you out from your near passing. You find yourself surrounded by a warm embrace, a contrast to the freezing water you were just in. It feels safe, like you are a newborn again. You instinctively curl up against it, exhausted from the incident.
“I apologize deeply, my worshiper.” A deep voice resonates, composedly picking each word. You open your eyes, only to be astounded by the sight before you. It is Longan Dragon. Your beloved god is carrying you, apologizing to you, and touching you. You could not have been happier.
Filled with joy, you squeal, “Longan Dragon?! Oh, how I’ve been anticipating your awakening! I’ve offered so many things every day; I just can’t wait to show all the poetry I’ve written for you!” You lace your hands together, starry eyes wide with faith.
“Mh yes, I suppose you can show that, but I have something to discuss with you first.” They float down angelicly, sitting on the structure you fell off moments ago. “You are the only one to notice my upbringing of power; therefore you are mine. Which means you shall leave your abode to reside in my palace.”
You did not answer, only nod.
They continue on, staring at you with a hint of adoration. “Let me take you away~ All to myself for eternity.” They stroke your hair, smiling deviously. “We have much to do, my precious devotee.”
——————————————————
Your neighbors knock on your door. Asking nervously if you are well.
But only an empty shrine remains, abandoned by its owner.
——————————————————
I wrote most of this in two days. Kinda proud but also not proud lmao.
- Celina

Weird Question: The different degrees of force sensitivity, how different would Eight (self/story) be for each? LIke, if he had not been born the (I assume) Standard force; where, everything he “has” is because he is a “vessel” (or extension) of Darth Jadus’ power/influence. Like what if he was born a: Force null (Granta Omega), Standard-none (current self?), Touch (Raina Temple), Average Jedi/Sith, or Above (Darth Jadus/Chosen Ones/SkyWalker(s)/Celestial/Abeloth/etc.)? What would change?
Interesting question! I've never thought too deeply about those designations because Eight is so...attached to who he is without the Force, but it really intrigues me.
Force Null: Essentially the same, I can't see much difference regarding his life or story having the pure lack of it, though that would make it impossible for him to form a force bond with Jadus (which would be at first a huge shock, but knowing those two they'd take advantage of such a trait). I imagine Jadus would take more of an interest in him because he's a Null ironically, as it would serve him better on his missions to be unaffected by other Sith/Jedi. And as usual, Jadus is especially fascinated by those untouched by the Force.
Standard/None: Current self.
Touch: Given that his mentor had a distaste for Sith, she most likely wouldn't have given him up to be taken to Korriban--and his story would remain the same as his standard self, with the addition of having to hide his force-sensitive side, or, she simply abandons him on Thyrsus where he was first found out of an unwillingness to take on such a liability.
In the first case, Jadus would most likely find him more suspicious than anything and more of a danger, but given his history of isolation from others like him, might be twice as drawn to Jadus' presence--though it might hurt him twice as much. Eight as a force-sensitive would be far more withdrawn and less avant garde as well as possessing a weaker link to Intelligence, but retains the same insatiable desire to know that his normal self does. It's even more of a dangerous game with Jadus, who could either reject and destroy him for his potential, or, unexpectedly accept such waning power into the fold when he makes himself vulnerable to him. He and Raina would probably find solace in each other, though she wouldn't be able to soothe the part of him that feels alien.
Average Jedi/Sith: Eight would have the most difference from his normal self as a Jedi, given it's a direct contrast and completely different lifestyle from being an Agent. His family would willingly have given him up to the Jedi corps, as it would be a good path for him to win the favor of the Republic in their name and personal honor as an Echani, and he would be more or less similar to his post-Alliance self--brave, skilled, bright and incredibly quiet with an eccentric side. He'd excel at all forms of Jedi-taught martial arts, and spend way too much time in the creche... well, babysitting, given the Echani tendency to raise litters at a time, and otherwise be an absolute star of a Jedi knight. It's a rather cute alternate universe where his life is free from the fear that makes him Jadus' Hand...
As a Sith, however, he'd be miserable. An unfitting and ill-suited role for one who only wants to study martial arts and has no interest in power plays nor its history of domination would make Eight incredibly apathetic, if not selectively mute from the horrors and abuse. He'd spend his days as someone else's assassin most likely, always fighting for the next day and scraps at another master's table. I can imagine he'd only find relative peace by finding another Echani Sith to marry and be absorbed into their powerbase by, but he would never become prestigious.
Above: THIS is an incredibly funny question to me, given how wild it is as a concept. Eight as a Force entity... would hardly be the Eight you know at all. He wouldn't even appear as he is--and instead as some sort of free floating spirit who wanders the Living Force, occasionally forming Force bonds with those he finds unique enough to share experiences with, much like he does with Jadus normally. Jedi and Sith alike would speak of the appearance of a brown and white Eshan wolf with many legs in their dreams, who asks them to share of their memories so he may partake--accidentally re-igniting belief in the Echani pantheon and its titular wolf deity, Trul, who resembles such a creature. That is how Eight would live his life if he were powerful enough in the Force to go and live as he pleased. So, yeah, a giant dream-invading Force wolf not even bound to a mortal body. XD

Tumblr media
In this transformative chart, creativity thrives as the Moon in open Aquarius brings new dream downloads, while the square to Jupiter in Taurus urges practical grounding and expansion. The dynamic trine between Jupiter and Mars in Virgo empowers you to take efficient, forward-moving actions.
Yet, as Mercury in Virgo opposes Saturn in Pisces retrograde, you might pause to analyze and think through your plans. Don’t be discouraged by mental fatigue; the grounding energies from Mercury, Mars, and Jupiter in earth signs provide a stable foundation.
The cosmic breakthroughs continue with Uranus in Taurus, another earth sign, slowing down before stationing retrograde later in August. Capture these downloads, embrace newfound possibilities, and document your inspirations.
As this Aquarius Full Moon energizes your cosmic vision, remain open to the unexpected, the avant-garde, and the extraordinary. Some moments seem bonkers but trust your excitement as you pave the way toward an exhilarating future.
With many planets in earth signs affecting it, prepare for a quieter full moon. However, heads up for the upcoming retrograde season, as seven planets will be in retrograde by the end of August, prompting you to slow down and prepare for new developments.
Get ready to bask in the bright lunar illumination and embrace the transformative energies of the Aquarius Full Moon. Take the chance to ponder your cosmic visions and embark on a path of personal and collective growth.

335: Areski and Fontaine // L'Incendie
Tumblr media
L'Incendie Areski and Fontaine 1973, BYG
The late ‘60s and early ‘70s were when the past half-century of avant-garde developments in theatre, literature, film, and art music began to break through into pop. The results of these early flirtations have a sense of discovery and possibility that has continued to captivate generations of new listeners to this day. Brigitte Fontaine and Areski Belkacem’s L’Incendie should absolutely be considered one of the towering classics of the era (and, among the Francophonie, it probably is), but I only came across it for the first time early last year. It reminds me of something from the Velvet Underground / John Cale / Nico universe, simultaneously emblematic of its time and so ahead of it as to sound anachronistic.
On “Les murailles,” tape of Fontaine’s exhalations and what sounds like a kalimba are snipped up and looped to create a tinkling, twitching soundscape that presages the Books or Boards of Canada; the track that follows, “L’engourdie,” layers howling wah-drenched electric guitar behind a pretty acoustic folk pop number that would fit right in on a Brigitte Bardot record; next, the stark “Nous avons tant parlé” could be a theatrical elegy set in a dilapidated seaside church. Every song feels stylistically distinct, but Areski and Fontaine’s creative vision remains consistent; I hear post-punk and Björk and Sonic Youth, and I hear French early music and Berber folk and the ‘50s sound poetry of Henri Chopin in the same measure.
youtube
It’s always a challenge reviewing non-English language records because you’re stuck speaking to its purely sonic characteristics, which increases the likelihood you’ll hilariously misread it—call a song a soothing folk idyll when it’s actually about smashing international Jewry or something. With political, lyric-forward stuff like L’Incendie, it also means failing to engage with its message, flattening it as an artwork. (Unfortunately, there is nothing I as a person of French ancestry living in a majority-French city could do or could have done in the past to better interpret this record.) I asked French-language correspondent and girlfriend of the podcast Mea for one of her classic vibe checks, but she told me the reams of notes she took while listening were too dotty to share, so I can only assume hearing and understanding Fontaine’s words in their original tongue unchains some celestial horror.
Few of the lyrics can be easily found online, which forces me to rely on Le Gendre’s analysis, but critic Kevin Le Gendre’s helpful liner notes paint a portrait of a wide-ranging album that engages with recent post-colonialist bloodshed (Jordan’s Black September civil war with PLO forces on “Le 6 septembre”); the medicalization of psychic distress (“Ragilia”); intimacy and coupledom; and much more besides. What I was able to find of Fontaine’s lyrics online have a spiky surrealist poetry to them. From “Après la guerre” (“After the War”):
“Happiness blows The eyelids lie gently The sexes glow The eyes, by moving, make you cum The men returned from the war And on their heads, the grass grows back.”

Listen/purchase: Nite Bjuti by Nite Bjuti
Tumblr media
Night Bjuti's eponymous debut album (pronounced Night Beauty)taps into women's legacies, freedom, magic and love with ritual jazz, blues and the electronic blessings of Sun Ra. The Black woman trio of vocalist Candice Hoyes, bassist Mimi Jones and percussionist Val Jeanty named themselves after a Haitian folk tale about a deceased girl who reclaims her skeleton to recapture her life. Hoyes'prayerful utterances, Jeanty's remixing of ceremonial rhythms and Jones' agile bass does sound like avant-garde jazz for the dead at times. They are the first group of its kind and improvisation is at the center of their creative process that excavates ancestral memories with a balance between the linear and the abstract.
The deeper conceptual moments found in "Witchez" and the rumbling rhythm and poetry of "Mood (Liberation Walk)" is akin to Shabazz Palaces' celestial hip-hop funk. Zora Neale Hurston's letter to W.E.B. Dubois proposing a cemetery for eminent Black artists and Carrie Mae Weems's Kitchen Table Series of photographs are referenced on the album that moves more like a single composition instead of individual songs. Hoyes says, “We are expressing the kind of pillaging, the uprooting of women in ways personal, intergenerational, familial, sexual, past and present." "Stolen Voice" protests the erasure of Black women's history and reclaims it at the same time with Jeanty's whirlwind sequences, Jones' trancey bass grooves and Hoyes' piercing notes. The layers of intensity are felt in Hoyes' vocals expressing sorrowful wails commemorating past wrongs but quickly morph into furious condemnation after striking decibel shifts. The trio is living somewhere in the same universe occupied by Ursula Rucker, Robert Glasper, Flying Lotus, Burnt Sugar, The Last Poets and Kendrick Lamar but they have their own unique space. Night Bjuti's official debut inventively combines protest, healing, love and truth-telling into an enchanting movement of sound.

aaaaaayyyyye ahaha new baby just dropped.
a few days ago I wondered what Lien's and Iskierka's hatchling would look like after way too much thinking and a little drawing, BOOM!! We have Chardonnay! my newest little baby!
Chardonnay exists mainly in the Anthro Crime au so my very first pass at her was her anthro form first ^^ of course I had to draw her as a dragon too ^^ She is mostly pale pink with barely visible green patterning. Her scales have a crystalline iridescence to them, not unlike an opal. She will never grow a celestial's ruff or whiskers.
Perhaps because of this Chardonnay really really likes to accessorize with stylish or avant garde harness-work or jewelry, and she can often be seen wearing a human style wig because she's so fond of hair.
so yeah, new baby ^^ I have a colored headshot in the works but it might be a while before I can post it ^^.

Book recommendation?
Oh yes, I was supposed to be doing those, wasn't I? Well... I'll probably only do them upon request, it's more likely to happen that way. Today I would offer you.... "Piranesi" by Susanna Clarke. A story of the nature of the infinite. A man who dwells in a House with endless numbers of halls and vestibules, each filled with statues, and while above it is drifting endless among the clouds and celestial objects, below it is drowned endlessly in the sea. It is certainly a very unusual book, and while I was enraptured by its telling and leapt with ravenous hunger upon every word, I have seen that it is certainly not to everyone's taste. Still, it is undeniable that it was written with a significant amount of skill and the ideas contained reference many interesting lines of research and philosophical thought. I found the story quite compelling and the characters engaging, but even so, it's structure and style were atypical and possibly even avant garde or surrealism. All in all, an interesting read, and for some even an enjoyable one. Certainly one might at the very least learn something about writing from it.
