I have to admit, I am a little confused about the Kickstarter.

So the plans if I’m correct are SOBH, three new novelas and a diary and the kickstarter is a way of funding? I have no idea how it all works but I hope people can eventually buy them even if I prefer online books.

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform, people put projects on it to try to get the funds to make them a reality. That is, the books Cassie mentioned on the newsletter don't exist yet, she will use the money gained through Kickstarter to fund the development and production of these books independently, since this project isn't being done with the backing of a publisher. However it isn't SOBH and 4 novelas, it's 4 whole books: one is SOBH, one an updated version of the flower book, one a book with 4 novellas, and another a book a la GOTSM with 10 short stories focused on shadowhunter couples + the journal.

The campaign itself isn't up yet, it'll only go live in November, for now it's just a holding page on the Kickstarter site where you can sign up to receive the alert for when the Kickstarter does go live, which has its perks because if you back it up in the first 48h you'll receive the first chapter of TWP as a bonus when prizes start being send out.

Since the actual campaign isn't up yet, we can't know exactly how she will set it up, and I admit I have never used Kickstarter because it's not the crowdfunding platform used in my country, but crowdfunding projects usually have many "tiers" you can choose from. So tier 1 might get you only the SOBH book, tier 2 only the novellas book, etc, some tiers might offer a bundle of 2 or more books with or without the journal, a tier will probably offer you the chance to get all the books. Of course, price increases or decreases with what tier you decide to pledge to, and you'll only receive the products from the tier you selected.

It is unclear whether any of this material will be released online/as e-books, either as prizes for the Kickstarter or later on. For now Cassie has only said the prizes will be the 4 physical book options + a journal with art from Charlie Bowater.

It is also unclear so far if any of the books will be available to be bought after the Kickstarter ends, again, because Cassie isn't doing this with the backing of her publisher, so it's unclear whether she will be able to get them printed through them afterwards or through a different press or anything. Based on how these projects go, sometimes the crowdfunding does pay for continuous printing, sometimes not. So if you do want to guarantee your copies, for now the best choice is really to back up the Kickstarter!

She sent all the info on her newsletter which I'll copy and paste below the read more not to crowd the dash too much, but the project seems very interesting and gorgeous and I can't waaaait for it to go live!

Cassie: Um, excuse me?! This is my diary page! Go back to flirting with Grady or something already.

Will: We’re not-

Cassie: Yeah yeah, whatever. Just go!

Cassie: Anyway, as I was saying before I got rudely interrupted! My name is Cassie O’Rourke, the team’s honorary human and hunter.

I’ll admit, when they first told me that they were both werewolves, I was a bit scared. I come from a family of hunters, only for deer and other small animals, but ever since I was young, I’d always been told to be careful of what monsters lurk around the swamp. And with our famous werewolf myth, that type of thing was at the top of my fear list.

It took longer for me to warm up to Will than Grady. As you can see, we still fight often, but it’s mostly just bickering. Grady was always the softer one out of our group and I couldn’t ever imagine him hurting me. Will, not so much. He’s always been a bit rougher, snappier, and a pain in the ass! Especially when they told me he was the one who bit Grady!

It took me awhile to fully trust them both again, that…was not a part of my life I think fondly of. After getting over my fears and prejudices though, everything went back to normal. Both of them are like family to me, and I wouldn’t change that for a thing. Uh….I’m getting all mushy here.

You’ll be wanting to read, or watch this (we’re making videos for it too), for advice on the monsters here or anywhere else in the world. With 6 years under my belt, I’m pretty handy with my weapons. So, if you ever need help ‘taking one out’, just let me know.

The Tribe - In Germany: A Day with The Tribe Cast - Part 1 To celebrate the return of The Tribe to German television with Season 1 starting on Fix and Foxi TV - as well as the recent Blu-ray release of the series - we have some special behind the scenes footage where The Tribe cast spent a day with two lucky competition winners and fans in Germany!

Caleb Ross (LEX), Victoria Spence (SALENE), Meryl Cassie (EBONY) and Michael Wesley-Smith (JACK) got to see some of the beautiful German landscape on a winter wonderland horse ride through the snow... and got behind some different horsepower on a go kart session... and were in a different kind of a spin with a game of curling on the ice.

It was such a fun and memorable day had by all - and we've got some 'fly on the wall' video diary footage here which captured some of the moments.

diary entry #3: friday june third, 2022

i had a dream i was taking a french a-level and i had to do hess' law with a french sentence (i was so confused but somehow it made complete sense in the dream). i was so exhausted after yesterday, i ended up sleeping in till eleven o'clock, so once i woke up, i made toast and had a quick shower (explicitly quick, since i usually have hour long showers). i watched sami's story from yesterday and still found it funny how she said 'hip hip hooray' twice and not three times (she took a video during the end of us singing). i had 'love him i don't' by maisie peters stuck in my head, and decided to listen to her music and add it to my 'depressed females' playlist. i remembered that email that i wrote two years ago on june second, and also remembered that i forgot to read it yesterday, so i read it today whilst listening to 'idk you yet' by alexander 23 (i made a comment in the email about how that song is probably the best on my june playlist, so i should get ready to be sick of it by the end of the month but i just checked and it's not on my june playlist so i'm a little confused; however i just randomly remembered that i downloaded that song to my phone so i could listen to it on repeat because i couldn't do that from spotify, so i don't think i ever added it to my playlist (i don't know how i remembered that from two years ago)). i reminisced on my june playlist from two years ago, got reobsessed with chase atlantic once i heard 'cassie' for the first time in months. i was watching fleabag and belinda said "women are born with pain built in" and it is so true. i ended up finishing the whole of season two and now my heart just hurts, even thought i knew "i love you" "it'll pass" was coming up, it still hurt. and then as soon as i finished watching, kim messaged saying that she's gonna stop talking and that i should too since 'when something keeps being on and off a certain amount of times, you should know when to stop', and i was tempted to let her win this final time just because i love her and that will pass. we had pizza and after that, i alternated between arguing with kim and watching tiktoks, and then i heard a new song by sydney rose and it reminded me too much of me and kim. i let down my hair as i washed it this morning, and noticed how good i looked (i always look good with hair), so i pinned it up and put in hoop earrings and put on lip gloss and curled my lashes and just admired myself for a second. then i took a shit and got changed and sat down to start revising again. i saw that the playlist i made after me and katy broke up has four likes and i don't know when that happened. i also noticed that when i stopped to think about it, my heart hurts immensely, and i think the only way to ignore it is to ignore it. i caught up with barbara and we found out that we're both scorpios and she's a week older than me. i ended up starting revision at ten o'clock and finished the social influence topic and finished watching the episode of 'the vampire diaries' that i was on (still s3 ep10) and damon finally kissed elena.

not sure if anyone ever thought of this before (probably) but hear me out besties i had a vision: mammamianatural. dean gets extremely exhausted after a couple armaggedons and decides to actually take his toes-in-the-sand vacation. while backpacking through europe he encounters 3 non-human fellas and has special magical moments with each of them (benny, crowley and cas). obviously cas can’t stay with him bc his deadbeat of a father has some big plans for him etc etc and dean is left heartbroken.

dean ends up in this gorgeous greek island and while he’s writing all about it in his cutesy diary an unidentified magical creature (preferably archangel as in gabriel) appears to him and tells him his intense connection with a magical being somehow broke all of the universe’s rules (shocker) and manifested in the form of (yup) a supernatural child (jack) that appears before him as the messenger vanishes.

dean gets confused as hell and thinks “what the fuck no way that’s my goddamn kid” but when he looks into his *angel eyes* he completely forgets that thought. he raises that unknown baby creature for like a week or something and gets even more confused about how fast he’s growing but asks no questions bc well that doesn’t really matter to him at this point.

later on, it’s jack’s first 365-day-count-birthday and they decide to make a big deal out of it, inviting everyone that’s ever been important in dean’s life: sam and eileen, charlie, rowena, bobby, garth and even cool exes like cassie. jack finds dean’s old diary and invites benny, crowley and castiel in secret bc yay second daddy reveal the more the merrier. and all of that happens in between abba songs. period

ps: eventually they all find out gabriel simply spat dean in this insane alternate reality for kicks

ps2: it all makes sense because it is known that donna sheridan’s mom in mamma mia was kind of a bitch to her (which clearly applies to john

personal journey diary day 50!

It’s really cold here today! It’s snowing up at the mountains and it might snow in the town too. Everything went to schedule today and I managed to get to my uni for a nice feminist discussion with the planning committee for the women’s day strike.

Today’s workout:

I have never found a skins unseen. Where are they?

The Unseen Skins and Video Diaries are “a series of canonical online-exclusive mini-episodes that are used to add extra exposition on both the episodes and the Series they pertain to.” Each Unseen Skins vaguely correlates to an episode of the series. You can find more information on the Unseen Skins here. There’s also The Lost Weeks, which bridged the gap between series 1 and 2.

They were originally aired on the Skins/E4 website, but as that is no longer up, they can be found on YouTube. Depending on where you are in the world, I think some channels are region blocked, but this one seems to have most of them.

Series 1: I Mostly Do, Careers Advice, Shoot Em Up Bang Bang Props to the Hood, A Friend in Need, Careers Advice II, To Russia With Love, The Cat and the Duck, Pop, Bye
