#Trigun #I know that op shows a lot of tools at the beginning of the tutorial #But this is a SUPER basic papercraft if you want to give it a go!#I highly recommend cardstock if you can #But you can get away with it if it's all you got #I don't think regular paper will stand up as well #Matte photo paper would probably be the best but that shit's expensive #I'm going to work on a couple modifications for my version #Either double-sided printing or two layers...#I think the former #Anyway #The moment this awful migraine is gone #I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING #(As it may be apparent I'm a papercraft addict and I'm totally willing to give anyone advice if they need it!)#(I'm still working on the Trigun foxes btw just working Vash and Wolfwood yin yang kitties first)#I LOVE that this is glue-free tbh #I'm so fucking messy at gluing

two parts of a gift for @shadowsplice that i’m two months late to post — i made a print copy of his fic Graveyard Shift and wanted to include a surprise illustration of shiloh with it. i am still very pleased with how both came out and ridiculously glad to have had the chance in the first place, these are some of the most elaborate projects i’ve done to date :]

#splatoon #splatoon art #splatoon oc #inkling #salmon run #splatoon 3 #i am so fuckign unwell over these squid.#there are #two copies of the prints (one for me & one for him)#my copy's stitched w silver thread & his w gold because spencer's silver & shiloh's gold #the covers are two pieces of cardstock taped together w the colors inverted— again spencer is blue on the outside anf green on the interior #while shiloh's is green on the exterior & blue on the inside #i spent Hours w a ruler on the tape making the lines lettering & gutters were as even as i could make them #many of the colors are layered marker+colored pencil &each of the badges/stickers are emblematic of shiloh and/or an inside joke #thou art mine #i had to get the print redone like four times cuz the place couldn't get it right #i did this over CHRISTMAS #like?hello. there is no point to this ramble these are just labors of love and i'm damn glad of it

They're a little pricey on shipping, but they do accommodate just about any paper sizing, and they also offer a ton of different paper types and finishings. Overall, a 10/10 experience I've had with them.

Probably! Depends on which version you want; I'm willing to make more plain mini mushroom guys, and I still have both the original mini mushroom prototypes*, but if you want an inky cap mushroom creature it'll probably be more expensive. I've been adding beads to the current one for about an hour and I'm still not done lol *I'll want to keep at least one because I have not yet typed up the assembly instructions, and I try to keep at least one prototype of every pattern until I have instructions saved

#ask away!#I want to share some more sewing patterns #it's on my list to do this weekend #so maybe I'll share the mini mushroom creatures pattern?#the big pattern will be harder to share #because most of my big patterns are drawn on larger than normal paper #that I got from an ex-neighbor whose husband collected stamps #and originally stored them in stamp albums and then moved them out of the albums into a different storage method #and they gave me the album pages #I have SO MANY pages #they have like printed designs on them so they can't really be used for drawing #but the paper is thicker than like printer paper #but still more flexible than cardstock #so it's great for pattern drafting #unfortunately it means I frequently make my giant patterns Just A Bit Too Big to trace onto printer paper

they've kinda always been my muses tbh

#printed on the right texture cardstock with bright fine-lined ink they gain a sort of otherworldly quality #they have such a symbolic and timeless style... yet nothing else was ever drawn that way historically. they are a self-contained legend #i finally dug into the history of the designs today. the english pattern's features developed over time from an imported french deck #and the universal design elements were finally set in definitive patterns by a publishing company in the 1800s #the millenia-long process resulted in a deeply symbolic and archetypal feeling style #that doesnt actually tie to any external symbolism or art movement #symbolism born of itself - symbolizing only itself #that must be where that sense of otherworldly majesty comes from... regal designs that pay homage to nothing and no one but themselves #originating from a time when Everything had to be commissioned in tribute of Someone. the English Cards' Court alone bowed to none #mythological

first off a little commotion for the print. she looks lovely. please clap and cheer that i figured out that yes, barens are useful, and i didnt even get all worked up once in this printing process thank god cause usually im sobbing by the end of it lol.

anyways please choose if you like cardstock or grid paper more. natural variation of prints notwithstanding! certain areas are better on one and not the other but thats my fault not the papers fault. just vote which paper you think i should print my proper edition on
