Bees land on the prettiest flowers (Lia Wälti x reader)
Tumblr media
A/N: A Lia fic? You’re just a surprised as I am. Also, 10 points to the first person that can tell what tv show a scene in the fic is from.
After the rush of the summer that was the World Cup and the devastation that came with crashing out the champions league before it even began, you found the air around Adidas' HQ in Germany quite refreshing. It would be your home for the next couple of weeks as you and the rest of the team focus on preparing for the upcoming season.
You had a plan this year, one which you was determined to follow if you stayed healthy. Something that wasn't part of this plan was Lia Walti.
The swiss woman caught your eye the moment she step foot in Colney yet despite the encouragement you got from your team mates and the urge to ask her out, you couldn't, in fact you would go so far as to say you bailed at every opportunity. By the time you were ready it was too late because she started dating Caitlin and you knew you couldn't let your selfishness get in the way of her happiness. It’s why you put Lia in the what if box in your head and sealed it shut. Only now the light started to shine through the box and the reason for that was because Lia and Caitlin had broken up.
It seemed that the higher powers had given you another chance but a lot had changed over the past couple of years. You and your heart wasn't the same and you weren't sure if you were ready to care about someone on a deep level.
A knock on the door brought you out of your daydreaming and as you opened it you saw Lia stood on the other side with a nervous expression on her face.
"Hello you, come in" you step aside allowing enough space for the Swiss to enter.
"Actually I was hoping you'd come out"
You both knew what she meant but the way she phrased it causes you both to burst into laughter. Once you both catch you breath Lia rephrases her sentence.
"Would you like to go for a walk with me?" Lia asks still standing on the threshold.
Her intentions wasn’t clear but you couldn’t turn down one on one time with her. The feelings that you once felt were still there, they were simply buried down deep.
“Sure, let me grab a hoodie and we’ll go”
“There’s no need for a hoodie. I haven’t got one”
That she hadn’t. Lia was dress is a pair of sweatshorts and a tank top. If her attire was anything to go by then it was a nice evening outside.
The weather was perfect. Not too warm but not too hot. The sky was pink but turning into a burnt orange and here you were with one of the most beautiful girls you have ever met. It made you wonder what you did in your past life that allowed to have a moment like this.
You walked past the pool saying hi the players that were watching a movie. Those on the loungers knew better than to tease you so they left you be but made a mental note to ask you about it later.
You knew Lia well almost too well because as you walked you saw her chest rise and fall but it would hitch before it falls, she was hesitating. Another tell of this was the way she opened and closed her mouth unaware that you could see the action out the corner of your eye.
It is when you walked through the perfectly maintained garden area that you decide to confront her about it. You could smell the fresh roses and you got distracted by the bright colours of each flower but it only lasted a second then your attention returns to Lia.
“What going on that head of yours?” You ask as you both stand admiring the lilies.
Lia is about to respond but the buzzing of a bee causes you to freeze. Your heartbeat doubles in pace as you watch the yellow and black insect land on her exposed chest.
“Don’t move. Stand still” you beg her.
“Y/N, what are you doing?”
Lia follows your eyes which are fixed on her chest. There she sees the reason for you concern yet she doesn’t have the same response. This alone lets her swat away the bee with no hesitation.
“No! Don’t do that” the desperation in your voice and the panic in your eyes scares Lia more than the possibility of a bee sting.
“It’s only a bee”
Lia’s actions had clearly agitated the insect and you hear a buzz at a high volume before it flew away.
“Ow” Lia says calmly.
“Are you ok? Can you breathe?” You asked her but it was your shortness of breathe that was an issue.
“It’s only a sting”
“Are you sure?”
Fear consumes you as memories of the past flood your mind. Your chest feels like it’s on fire and you try and fail to bring your breathing back to a steady pace.
Lia can tell immediately that something is very wrong. In hopes of calming you down she takes your hand and holds it over the sting on her chest. She then takes her own hand holds it over your chest. It forms a connection between the two of you.
“I’m ok Y/N. It’s just a bee”
“Don’t say that!” Your concern was replaced with anger because Lia refused to see the severity of the situation “go get checked out by the doctor. Now”
You felt helpless and you knew you were no longer in control of your emotions. You needed to leave even if your heart wanted to stay with Lia.
The Swiss had no option other than to watch you walk away. She wanted to go after you but your words are loud in her head. She knew it was best for her to go see the team doctor.
As she walked back into the facility, Lia tried to make sense of your reaction. Never had she seen you react like that and even though she saw it first hand she could believe it herself.
“Did you enjoy your date?” Beth teases.
“It wasn’t a date. I just wanted some alone time with Y/N” Lia corrects the blonde forward.
“Isn’t that the definition of a date?” Jen adds.
“It doesn’t matter now. She ran off and left me by the flower beds”
This made no sense to anyone at the table especially the two blondes who you play with on the national team with.
“What happened?” Leah asks.
“We went for a walk and ended up in the gardens. I was nervous, she picked up on it and I thought she was going to ask me about it but then there was a bee and she freaked out. I think she was having a panic attack and it only got worse when it stung me”
“You got stung by a bee while Y/N was next to you?” Beth asked. She made eye contact with Leah who nodded her head, the defender would go check on you whilst Beth made sure the Lia was ok.
Leah stood in front of your door taking a couple of seconds to figure out how to handle the situation. She remembers the moment you showed up on her doorstep and went on to tell her that you had just experienced the worst day of your life.
She used her room key given that you were sharing for the trip and the sight she is met with isn’t one she could prepare for. You are laid on your bed in a fetus position. Your eyes are dry but the puffiness in your face told Leah that you had been crying.
“Y/N” she speaks in a hushed tone.
“Lia’s going to die, isn’t she?”
To anyone outside your immediate family that which included a handful of your England team mates, they would have called you dramatic. Leah was one of the select few which understand why your mind went to worse case scenario.
“She’s fine”
“I thought my dad was fine next thing I know I had these two fingers on his neck trying to find a pulse” you hold up middle and index finger.
“Y/N what happened to your dad was devastating. Nobody knew he was allergic”
“And you don’t know that Lia isn’t. I was the reason my dad died and now I’m going to be the reason she dies”
“It’s wasn’t your fault” Leah sit nexts to you on the bed “As for Lia, she is ok. She came back in to us and was going to see the doctor. Something that I’m guessing was your idea”
You nod your head. Your worrying stopped for a mere second knowing that Lia had listened to you and was hopefully getting the help she needed.
“Y/N you like Lia and have done for a while. You told her to go see the doctor but didn’t go with her, why?”
“I didn’t want to see her in pain”
“She isn’t in pain. Come with me and I’ll show you. We don’t have to talk to anyone but you need to see with your own eyes that she is ok”
Reluctantly, you agree and follow Leah through the halls of the HQ. Each step you take feels heavier than the last because in your mind you have seen how this story ends and you don’t want to see it, not again. So you took your time, you pretended to check in every room that you passed even though the blonde beside you knew exactly where the Swiss was.
Turns out Lia was in the exact same position as when Leah left her only now she has a white patch where the bee had stung her and she had some company. Out of the players one stood out to you; Caitlin.
You and Leah stood at the entry way. Just as Leah was about to walk towards the table you pulled her back.
“What? She’s fine, look” Leah tried to pull you towards your team mates despite her prior statement about not talking to anyone.
“She’s fine — with Caitlin” you could see Lia was ok but you couldn’t bring your self to watch her interact with the Aussie even if they were no longer together.
Knowing that Lia wasn’t going to face the same fate as your father lifted the crushing weight off your chest. You walked with no destination in mind. You didn’t want to go back to your room so you settle on a sun lounger by the pool. A staff member asking if you want to play the next movie the team had lined up and you saw no reason not to; a movie by the pool didn’t sound too bad.
Pitch perfect played but whilst your eyes were glued to the project screen, your mind felt like it was a million miles away. That is until you see a shadow cast over the lounger you were sitting on.
“Do you mind if I sit?” Lia asks.
You had chose a double lounger so you didn’t have an excuse not let her.
“Ok” your voice is quiet and although you don’t turn to face her, you do pat the side next to you.
The two of you watch the movie. The only sound to be heard is when you both laugh at the same part.
“Are you really ok?” You ask, still with your eyes on the screen.
“I am. Thank you for making me getting checked out, I wish you would have come with me”
When you turn you see that Lia is already looking in your direction.
“I — I”
“You were mad at me” Lia thinks she is finishing your sentence and but you been mad at her wasn’t the issue.
“I was scared” you take a pause because you know the only way for Lia to understand your reaction is for you to explain why seeing her get stung by a bee worried you so much “My dad was stung by a bee”
“And he was ok” Lia said, always the optimist.
“He went into anaphylactic shock. I didn’t know what to do and by the time I did it was too late. He died in the botanical gardens near my house”
“Y/N I didn’t know. Is that why you panicked? Because you thought the same thing that happened to your dad was going to happen to me?”
You can only nod. The admission itself brings back the worry that you had only just managed to settle.
In a similar way to how she did in the gardens, Lia reaches for your hand and places it over the patch. She pulls it a little so that you weight shift and your head in now resting on her shoulder.
“I’m ok. I went to the doctor, he asked me a couple of questions, cleaned the sting and gave me the all clear”
Silence yet again becomes the third wheel to the movie night you are Lia are accidentally having.
“I don’t want to lose you. It’s already happened once and now I’m just getting you back” you admit.
“Y/N I’m not going anywhere. There’s a reason why I wanted to take a walk with you, why I wanted to spend time with you and only you”
“Because you want us to be friends, like we were before”
“I never wanted us to be friends. Life got in the way and I spent too much time loving the wrong person when I knew she wasn’t the one I wanted to be with”
You knew what she was insinuating, the context wasn’t hard to decrypt.
“Am I that one?” You needed to hear her say it so that you knew this moment wasn’t a dream.
“You are but I know now more than ever that your heart is still healing so we’ll go at your pace”
How do you reply to that without opening an emotional can of worms? After thinking for a few seconds you decide not to say anything at all. Instead you turn deeper into her so that your head is resting on her chest, close enough so that you can hear her heart beat, her healthy heart beat.

a/n : tysm to the person who requested this! had a lot of fun writing it ! I hope you enjoy ◡̈
The crisp winter air filled the quaint town, the snowflakes dancing gracefully outside your girlfriends charming countryside home.
You couldnt shake the nerving excitement bubbling within you, as this just wasnt any christmas; it was your first time spending the holidays with Caitlin and finally meeting her family. As you stepped out of the car, you were greeted by th warm glow of the Christmas lights the adorned the rooftops, and the sound of joyful laughter coming from inside.
You timidly rung the doorbell, your girlfriend rushed out to meet you, with her eyes sparkling with delight. “Y/N! Youre finally here!” she exclaimed, quickly engulfing you in a tight hug. “Ive been counting down the days until i could introduce you to everyone” she stated.
You both then entered the cozy home, where you were then greeted by Cait’s family, who welcomed you with open arms and a genuine sense of love and want. Amidst the festive decorations and the scent of cinnamon and pine filling the air, you quickly felt a sense of belonging that you had never experienced before.
As the evening unraveled, you found yourself captivated by the Clark family traditions and the love that radiated from every corner of the room. As you stole short but sweet glances at Cait, you could feel your heart swelling with the affection for the girl that had brought continuous joy into your life.
As the holiday festivities continued, you and Cait had found moments of quiet intimacy amidst the bustling chaos, stealing kisses under the mistletoe and sharing whispered promises of your love and devotion for eachother.
On christmas morning, as you exchanged gifts by the twinkling tree, you couldnt contain your excitement as the brunette handed you a small wrapped box in glistening paper. With trembling hands, you slowly opened it to reveal a delicate diamond ring, with your initials engraved onto the band; a promise ring. You turned to Cait, with tears in your eyes. This was her telling you that she wants to spend the rest of her life with you, whether it be right in this moment or later, she would promise to make you hers forever.
As the day turned into night and the fire crackled in the fire place, you knew this christmas would hold great significance for you for years to come, cherishing it in your heart. Being surrounded by the girl you loved more than anything and her family gave you a huge sense of gratitude and contentment.
Curled up by the couch, basking together in the warm of eachothers embrace, you heard her whisper a small “i love you”, as she peppered your face with kisses. You couldnt help trying to contain your giggles, simply replying “thank you for making this the best christmas ever”
The brunette smiled, looking down at you, her eyes sparkling with love as she said, “heres to many more holidays together”.
That was when underneath the twinkling lights of the tree, you both shared a deep and meaningful kiss, her hands immediately found their way to your hips and she forced you closer to her, doing anything to keep you as near to her as possible.
A kiss that sealed your love and marked the beginning of a lifetime of joyous holidays together.
omg i think this might be my favorite piece of work!! loveee the way this turned out :) tried to keep it short n sweet but fulll of tooth-rotting fluff ! Tysm for reading <3

Yellow - Mackenzie Arnold x reader
Tumblr media
You woke up to a smidge of light peering through your window and a tight arm wrapped around your waist. You look at the time on your watch and it’s a little past 7:30 so you know that Mackenzie isn’t going to wake up for at least another hour. You turn over slightly and give her a soft kiss on the cheek, which causes the slightly older than you to scrunch her nose and turn over. This loosens her arm around you a little so it’s easy for you to escape. Once out of the tight hold, you decide you are going to go on a walk and to grab some coffee and bagels on the way home. After slipping on your last shoe and leaving a note on your pillow, you started your mini adventure.
You’d just moved to England from the US after scoring a deal with Arsenal so you are still getting used to the new country. Thankfully, since you and Mackenzie’s clubs aren’t that far from each other, you still see each other regularly. As you walk down the street, you see the familiar but old style shopping village you’ve grown to love. Turns out the country markets are on today and that makes you happy to explore peoples little handmade trinkets and fresh produce.
You first stop at a small flower stall and greet the old couple sitting in their slightly beaten up camping chairs, sharing a warm cup of coffee. All the different colours and aromas makes your heart burst with happiness, especially when you see this one shade of purple. It reminds you of the first time you saw Mackenzie in your national teams goalkeeper jersey. Having your favourite girl kitted out in your favourite colour did something to you. You didn’t realise how long you were staring at the flowers until you saw the old lady stand in front of you.
“You can just buy one if you want. I know a whole bunch is a bit much sometimes” the old lady offers.
You decide to buy three stems of the flower and she wraps it up nice and cute for you. You thank her and decide to give here a little bit extra for the trouble.
You walk down the next couple of stalls and see one of the new couples at Arsenal, Caitlin Foord and Katie McCabe. You talk to them for a while until you hear your phone ringing and see it’s Mackenzie. You bid them goodbye and that you’ll see them tomorrow for games night at Viv and Beth’s house. You quickly answer your phone and see Mackenzie FaceTiming you.
“Hey bubs, did you just wake up?” You ask as you look at a handmade jewellery stall.
“I did and you weren’t here. Where are you?” Mackenzie asks, mumbling into the comfy and fluffy blanket.
“I went down the street to get us some coffee and it turns out the markets are on. So I’m just having a look around, trying to familiarise myself with the area”
“Can you hurry? I’m missing out on my cuddles”
“I’ll be as quick as I can bubs. I love you”
“I love you more love. See you soon”
You look around the jewellery and see a pair of sunflower stud earrings. You pick them up and smile at the memory behind sunflowers.
On your four month anniversary date, Mackenzie took you to a sunflower farm in you hometown of Brisbane and you were in heaven. They had a clear patch where you could have a picnic and you both packed each others favourite foods and drinks. The patch was on top of a hill, over looking the beautiful mountains and the city below. You both had finished eating and you moved to sit in between her legs, watching as the sun slowing hide behind the high rise buildings, leaving behind a glow of oranges and pinks. It honestly made Mackenzie look like a goddess in your opinion. After a moment of comfortable silence, she told you those three words you have also had on the tip of your tongue also. You both sealed it with a kiss (or make out session) under the setting sun and it was truly a day you’ll never forget.
You give the earrings, along with the matching necklace, to the young girl to pay and again, told her to keep the change. She thanks you a lot before you head off down to the other stalls. You buy some more ironically coloured flowers, some matched Mackenzie’s eyes and one colour (in your brain), matching the way she smiles ever so lovingly at you.
You reach your final stall and see the most gorgeous yellow daffodils you’ve seen. Immediately buying them, you check the time and Mackenzie is texting you asking if you’ve ran away with the circus and that her ‘cuddle-o-meter’ is nearly running out so she’s going to die. You roll your eyes at the dramatics but decide to get the things you had come out for, coffee and bagels. You make a u-turn to your favourite coffee shop and order the usual for you both with cream cheese bagels.
You race home as fast as you can with two coffees and a bag full of flowers. Mackenzie hears the front door unlock and immediately goes to help you. Her eyes wide at the amount of flowers in your bag.
“What’s all the flowers for baby?” Mackenzie questions.
“I’ll explain later but please take the coffee”
You both sit on the couch and eat your bagels while you tell Mackenzie about all the stalls at the markets. Mackenzie’s heart swells up at how excited you get over the little things and it makes her smile even more (if that was possible).
“Okay presents time!” You say practically jumping out of your seat.
You explain all meanings behind the purple flowers to the sunflower earrings and necklace set and how Mackenzie hates earrings so you’ll wear them and she can have the necklace. Not once did Mackenzie get distracted or even think about not listening to you rave on about everything you bought her and the meanings behind them.
You finally got to the yellow daffodils. You turn and take Mackenzie’s hands in yours and she immediately tenses a little. You rub your thumb on her hand and she relaxes slightly.
“Mum used to tell me that yellow is the happiest colour. She used to say ‘yellow is something, or someone, that makes you so head over heels happy that you don’t want it to end’. Ever since we’ve started dating, I knew you were it for me. You’re my soulmate, my yellow. You’re the safe place I call home”
It happens all at once. The bottom lip wobbles. The single tear falls down Mackenzie’s cheek. The bone crunching hug that sends you flying back, hitting the soft cushions of the couch. You feel your shirt getting wet and you pull Mackenzie’s head up to see her with tears streaming down her face.
“Oh baby, I didn’t mean to make you cry” you mumble, wiping tears from her cheek.
“Marry me?”
You thought you heard wrong or didn’t hear her at all. When you don’t say anything, Mackenzie gets up from your lap embarrassed then you realise what she said. She turns to walk away when you grab her wrist, making Mackenzie turn her head to you.
“Yes”
“Yes?”
“Yes I’ll marry you baby!”
Mackenzie falls straight back on top of you and kisses you passionately. You pull her close when she pulls back quickly.
“The ring! You need your ring!” She sprints into the bedroom and before you could get up, she sprints right back out.
Mackenzie kneels on the floor in front of you before lifting your left hand and sliding the ring on. You tell her to stay there and you take a quick photo. She cuddles back into your arms and you cannot stop looking at the new sparkling piece of jewellery on your left hand.
“It’s gorgeous”
“Just like it’s owner”
“You cheese ball”
London being London, it starts to rain quite heavily so you both decide to cuddle on the couch and watch movies all day.
Who knew going for an early morning stroll on a day off would end up with you being engaged to the love of your life.

SUIT AND TIE
word count: 1.4k
pairing: caitlin clark x reader
⚠️warnings⚠️
swearing, slightly explicit themes
prompts:
caitlin saying “my girl” for the first time about you in an interview and it just makes you blush
coming home from the awards together and caitlin is in a suit that’s sloppily falling off her at this point since you’re both pretty drunk and you pull her to your room by her tie
making out with her so hard she loses balance and you both fall to the ground but she makes sure you fall on her
sloppily and lazily making out
The awards ceremony had been a blur. From meeting everyone on the team to evading interviewers, the whole night had been so overwhelming in a good way. Yes, your girlfriend had won another Player of the Year award, but your favourite part was when she’d called you her girl for the first time, her eyes shining with adoration while you blushed wildly beside her.
Soon after that, everyone had started drinking, and you were on top of the world as you danced with Caitlin, then Gabbie, and so many people that you didn’t even know. You could feel Caitlin’s eyes on you the whole time, but you were looking at her, too. You’d finally convinced her to wear a suit, and it was one of the greatest accomplishments of your life, because she looked fucking amazing.
Deciding that you’d danced enough, you went to go find Caitlin. You found her and Monika talking, leaning against the wall as they sipped their drinks. “Hey, ladies,” you giggled, twirling and dramatically falling into Caitlin. She easily caught you with one arm, and you took the opportunity to lean into her even more.
“What are you guys talking about?” you asked once the room stopped spinning.
Monika leaned in conspiratorially. “I honestly don’t even remember. I don’t think I’ve been - we’ve been - this drunk in a while,” she admitted.
Your brain was taking a while to catch up. “We?”
Monika leaned even closer so she could whisper in your ear. “Try talking to your girlfriend right now, she is so out of it!” Both of you looked at Caitlin and burst out laughing.
“What’s so funny?” she slurred, making you laugh even harder.
Ignoring her, you turned to Monika. “Watch this, I have a test to see how drunk she is.” You ducked out of Caitlin’s hold and slowly took a few steps back from the wall. “Can you please come over here, babe? I wanna tell you something,” you asked sweetly.
Caitlin tried to walk over, but she swayed as she pushed off the wall, her eyes widening as she fought to keep her balance. “Damn! Good thing you didn’t wear heels tonight,” remarked Monika. “I actually have a drunk test for her as well. Caitlin, can you tell me a secret about your girlfriend?”
Caitlin smirked. “She once told me that she wanted to have a threesome-”
“Don’t you DARE finish that sentence,” you cut her off. “I told you that confidence, AND IT WAS A JOKE AND YOU KNOW IT!”
Caitlin’s smile widened. “-with Kate,” she whispered, cackling.
“WHAT?” shrieked Monika. “Do I even want to know?”
Your head was starting to hurt. You pointed at Caitlin. “Not another word from you,” you threatened. You turned to Monika and pointed at her accusingly. “And you! First of all, not a word of this to anyone, second of all, I promise it was a joke that makes sense with context, and third of all, WHAT THE FUCK?”
Monika was laughing so hard, she could barely speak. She raised her hands in surrender. “My lips are sealed, don’t worry. But Kate might be into that, you could always ask…” she dodged your half-hearted attempt to smack her. “Don’t blame me, I was just showing you the test.”
Hearing all the noise, Kate had wandered over. “What’s everyone laughing about over here?” she asked.
Monika’s face was bright red as she howled from laughter. “Caitlin’s just really drunk,” she gasped, holding her stomach. “We’re good though, don’t worry.”
Kate looked unconvinced. “If you say so… let me know if you need anything, I guess,” she shrugged, turning away.
Monika stared at you, tears threatening to spill from her eyes. “I mean, technically Kate just offered,” she said innocently, unable to hide her smile.
You didn’t even give her an answer, grabbing Caitlin’s drink and downing the rest. “Fine, no hard feelings, but I think we’re gonna go. I can’t have anymore of my secrets exposed,” you said good-naturedly.
You called an Uber and said goodbye to everyone. It finally arrived and you and Caitlin collapsed into the back. “How do I feel more drunk now than I did in there?” mumbled Caitlin, leaning into you.
“I get it, I do too,” you whispered back. “I feel like I’m floating or something.” The rest of the ride was silent as you both tried to sober up enough to be able to walk up to your dorm.
You thanked the driver and paid, noticing a sour expression on Caitlin’s face. “What’s wrong?” you asked gently, cupping her face in your hands.
“I wanted to pay, but I couldn’t find my wallet,” Caitlin pouted.
For what seemed like the millionth time that night, you were unable to hold back a laugh. “That’s because I have it. You’re so adorable, babe.” You kissed the tip of her nose.
When you made it into your dorm, you turned on the light and realized how disheveled you and Caitlin looked. Her suit jacket was falling off and somehow her tie had loosened to the point that it was almost completely undone, and holy fuck was she ever pulling it off. Your dress was bunched high up on your thighs and you remembered with a start that you’d worn a cardigan to the ceremony. It was now nowhere to be found.
Deciding that you didn’t care, you focused on taking off your shoes. Getting an idea, you stood up and hooked two fingers through the knot of Caitlin’s tie. “Follow me.” You winked at her as you walked to your bedroom.
Caitlin let herself be led, but not without complaint. “This is so unfair. I can’t do that to you! Why didn’t you wear a suit?”
Now in the middle of your bedroom, you turned to look at her. “Because I enjoy ironically validating the heteronormative stereotypes of events like that,” you deadpanned, using every ounce of sobriety in your body to not keel over with laughter.
Caitlin looked at you incredulously, shaking her head. “Shut the fuck up,” she replied sincerely.
“Make me,” you challenged her. Giggling, you pulled on her tie to bring her closer to you. Her hands found their way to your waist as your lips crashed together. You pressed your body against hers as you deepened the kiss, letting go of the tie in favour of tangling your hands in her hair.
You may have pushed a little too hard, because the next thing you knew, you were both falling. Caitlin was able to pull you into her chest as you fell, making sure that she landed first. Your heart swelled at the gesture and how naturally she’d done it. Luckily, your room was small, so you landed on the bed.
“Thank you for protecting me,” you smiled as you leaned in. Caitlin let you plant kisses on her face for a few minutes before grabbing your face and slotting your lips together.
Not breaking the kiss, you shifted your legs so that you were straddling Caitlin, your dress now gathered at your waist. You played with Caitlin’s hair as you made out, and she traced her hands up and down your body.
You ground your hips into hers as the kiss deepened, her hands on your waist guiding your movements. You pulled away to get some air, a string of saliva connecting your mouths. Smiling down at Caitlin with heavy-lidded eyes, you licked your lips.
“This is so good, babe, but I can barely keep my eyes open,” you confessed sheepishly.
“I know, I’m exhausted, too,” Caitlin agreed. “Lay down and we can cuddle.”
You pulled your dress over your head and tossed it onto the floor, shooting Caitlin a look. “Don’t get any ideas, I’m just getting comfortable for bed, and you should too.” You gestured at her many layers of clothes.
Caitlin sat up and stuck her bottom lip out. “Fine, but you’re going to have to have to help me,” she retorted, giving you puppy dog eyes. You helped her out of her clothes and you both collapsed into bed. Caitlin pulled you close, planting open-mouthed kisses on your ear and neck that got slower as she got tired. You both fell asleep quickly, warmed by the heat of each others’ bodies.

Till Death Do Us Part
Chapter 1/?

It is also required to share your darkest secret for the bond to be bestowed. There is a common myth passed around that once, a very long time ago, a woman was tricked into marriage by a demon of sorts and only found out when they wed. Author's note: Hello again! I was originally going to write this as a oneshot, but I just kept writing and writing and felt that I really wanted to try and flesh this world out. So, it's becoming a series! I cannot promise regular updates as I am in my final year of university, and start back up at my graduate job in september, but I am really enjoying writing this so I'm aiming for at least once a month, but maybe more. I do also have another series in the works which I want to post soon as well, so keep on the lookout for that one! I’ve never written anything like this before so bear with me if it’s not very good! Please enjoy, I really do hope this is entertaining for you, and have a wonderful day/afternoon/evening! Lots of love, Caitlin <3

Baldur’s Gate. The jewel of the Sword Coast. Granted, you never knew there was supposedly a dragon sleeping under the city before the invasion, but still. A wonderful place to live. Life here was easier for someone like you, the eldest daughter of the Apothecary Merchant. Father had spent most of the money he made to dress you in the finest of clothes, hire chefs to teach you to make the finest of meals, and ensure you were surrounded by the best trained ladies in waiting possible. Status meant everything to him, and you knew you had to marry up to please him. Being the eldest of three girls, you were schooled in house making, cooking, mathematics, business, politics- anything and everything that would endear you to one of the knowledgeable and wealthy bachelors your father was hoping to wed you to. Your younger sisters however were afforded the luxury to follow their throws of passion and learn dance, music, or geography to teach and travel. You didn’t much care for home making, your fascination with the foul words in other languages usually left your tutor giggling after you begged her to teach you them. You were smart, quick with numbers and well versed in politics and business. It was something your father loved about you. The daughter that would lift them even higher in status. You were his political pawn.
You were with your mathematics tutor when she burst through the door. Your mother, her face flushed, chest rising and falling rapidly with her heavy breaths.
“The- The King wants you to attend the ball.” She spoke. “The ball for the princes to choose their brides. He has called for you specifically.”
“Oh?” You didn’t so much as look away from your work, still toying away with the problems in front of you.
“Yes! Oh Gods girl, what are we to do with you?” Your tutor excused himself as your mother swanned towards the large windows. She was as dramatic a woman as you had ever met, and you loved her for it. Turning to face you, her dress billowed, and it struck you yet again how beautiful she was. You knew she used to be the catch; the young daughter of a cattle farmer swept into the Sword Coast by her wild fancies and taking Baldur’s Gate by storm. She married your father in a rather quickly arranged match, both being only 21 and your bump already starting to show through her clothes. She had always held a special place in your life, and the closeness in age only solidified your bond.
“You’re to help me avoid it. You know I want nothing to do with the royal family.” You raised an eyebrow, smirk playing on your lips as you turned another page in your book.
“It’s such a shame. You should go, if not for yourself but for me. It says and family and you know how much your sisters and I would love it!” Her fingers danced across the edge of the paper, twirling the red silk ribbon that used to hold the envelope closed as she read and reread the words.
“You know, there must be a specific reason they invited you. I heard only four girls and their families were invited specifically by name.” He voiced wavered, tone light, eyes meeting yours with that twinkle you knew meant trouble. Sometimes it felt like you were the parent in this.
“Will I need a new dress?” With that she squealed and swept you into her arms.
“Oh darling! You are going to love this!” Untangling her arms from around you she ran from the room and to the staircase.
“Girls! Darling! Come downstairs, your sister has an announcement!”
It was dark outside when you were finally allowed to rest. Your mother had dragged you and your sisters around every tailor in the city, eventually settling on a beautiful, glittered gown from the Facemaker’s that made it look like you were dripping in starlight. Your sisters marvelled at you, them seemingly more excited for your prospects than you were. As you stood before the full-length mirror, watching the way light danced across the dress you caught your own breath. You stood tall, the shimmering fabric laying against your body as if made solely for you. Your face now seemingly had the allure you always attributed to your mother, the colour of your eyes mirroring her own beautiful hue. It was the first time you felt a fraction as beautiful as her. That’s why you let your mother buy the dress, but you’d never tell her that.
The evening was warm as you took a book from the library and made your way to the balcony. Lighting the lamp on the table you slipped yourself onto the velvet covered seat and pulled the small blanket around your legs, hiking them up to your chest. It was here you sat, absorbed in the words of scholars until a small cough caught your attention. This was routine at this point, so you put your book down and pulled yourself from the seat, dangling a hand over the railing in front of you before leaning your head over. The man clasped your hand and smiled up at you.
It had all been an accident, you meeting Seokmin and Wonwoo. You weren’t supposed to be walking unescorted to Sorcerers’ Sundries, well technically you weren’t supposed to be walking there at all, but what Father didn’t know wouldn’t hurt him. You had stopped but for a moment to watch the magic show at the front entrance when you felt a hand dip into your pockets. You grasped their wrist and turned, only to be met with a small child.
“I’m-I’m so sorry miss, please let me go.” The tiny tiefling looked terrified, eyes wide and lower lip trembling. Immediately you dropped your guard, gaze softening and grip on their arm loosening.
“Child, no need to be scared I won’t call the Fists. But let’s not go picking anymore pockets hm?” They nodded, thanking you as they scurried away. Thats when you heard the laughter. Two tall men, eyes dark and trained directly on you and the scurrying child.
“What are you two laughing at huh?” The slightly broader one cocked an eyebrow at you, and the other pointed behind you. There you saw the scared tiefling, not so scared anymore as them and their friend – who you hadn’t noticed until now – were poking their tongues out at you as they waved a purse above their heads.
“That’s mine!” You shouted as they hurried off, tails wagging and giggles filling the dark streets.
“You fell for that hook line and sinker.” One of the hooded men let a plume of smoke escape his lips and curled them into a smile. “Are you new here or something?”
“No, no. Look at her, she’s a sheltered little princess I bet.” The other said, closing the distance between you and him. You finally got a good look at him. Dark eyes, golden tanned skin, a smile spread across his face that lit a fire in your stomach. He leaned down, face now only inches from yours. “Such a sheltered little princess, aren’t you?” There was an earthiness to him, a woody smell that danced under a zesty citrus. This was no commoner’s perfume.
“Who are you?”
Wonwoo’s eyes shone from below you on the balcony, that same smile lighting that spark deep in your soul. He was intelligent, worldly, but most of all, he was kind. He climbed up the balcony as usual, pulling you into his embrace and kissing you. It was hot, fiery and passionate. It always felt like he was swallowing you whole, devouring every part of you. He pushed you backwards, lowering you into the plush of the loveseat as his body covered your own. His mouth never left yours, tongue playing against your bottom lip as you gave him entrance. He moaned, fingers running through your hair and pulling, revealing the length of your neck to him. He kissed down it, careful not to leave any marks as he did so.
“My beautiful girl, my pretty girl.” His lips left a searing trail down to your chest, his hands trailing down your sides, bunching up your dress to reach your core.
“Wonwoo, baby, we can’t. Not tonight.” It was almost useless, his lips never stopped working against your neck, teeth nipping at your pulse point. “Wonwoo, baby.” A whine left him that had a throb course through your body and set that flame burning.
“Don’t tell me to stop baby please.” He kissed you again, hands never stopping their assault on you. “Please don’t tell me I can’t play with my pretty girl’s pretty pussy.” His eyes darkened, teeth bit down harder, and you could almost feel the punctures from his canines.
“This pretty pussy has been invited to the King’s ball. This pretty pussy might have just been sold off by her ever-scheming father.” He stalled at this, hands stopping their assault and mouth leaving your skin.
“What?” His eyes were trained on yours as you swallowed thickly.
“We got the invitation today. Gods know how he did it. But he did.” Wonwoo moved off you, settling into the space beside you.
“Are you happy? With the idea I mean?” You let out a short laugh, cold and harsh.
“Happy? Why would I be happy? No one has ever seen them, been allowed near them, and what? I’m supposed to marry one of them. Be used as breeding stock. Finally put all this stupid training to use.” He laughed softly from beside you.
“You think this is funny? My life being sold off to the highest bidder and you laugh?”
“No! No, it’s not like that I promise.” His arms were around you again, pulling you into his chest. “I think there’s more to this than you know. Go to the party. You might be pleasantly surprised that’s all.” His lips were on yours again. “And no matter what happens, I’ll never let anyone else touch you the way I do.”
The morning broke through your curtains and the man beside you stirred. His chest was warm beneath your cheek as you kissed the arm draped around you.
“Darling, you must go before we get caught. Again.” He groaned, rolling the pair of you over, trapping you beneath him. That smile was back, softly lit by the warm glow of the sun pouring in through the windows. “Wonwoo, baby please.” His lips were soft against yours, pouring love into you like there was no tomorrow. His fingertips danced across your skin, raising goosebumps in their wake. He rolled his hips into you, want evident at the broken gasp that left his lips. “Wonwoo baby.” You moaned out, fingers moving to his shoulder blades. He rolled his hips again, the slickness of your cunt allowing for him to rock smoothly and bump his cockhead into your clit. “Wonwoo, we can’t.” But your body gives you away, the roll of your hips as you shake beneath him has him lining up instantly.
“Princess, say no right now and I won’t do it. But say yes and I’ll give you a baby. I’ll fuck you so full it has no option but to stick. You’ll be mine.” Your lips chased his as you nodded frantically against him.
“Yes Wonwoo, yes yes yes.” He pushed in, cock stretching you as you raked your nails down his back. His thrusts were deep, angling his hips to hit that spot inside of you.
“My princess wants a baby yeah? Wants me to fuck her full?” He growled into your ear, hips smashing into yours.
“Please, wanna make you a daddy.” You purred back. His hand snaked between your bodies, fingers rubbing circle after circle into your swollen clit as you arched up into him. He never stopped kissing you, never stopped whispering praise into your mouth as you came around him.
“Please Wonwoo, want you to fill me up. Please.” You dug your nails into his skin, drawing a hiss from him. He’s panting, sweat lining his forehead as he thrust into you again and again, bringing you to orgasm over and over until you couldn't take it anymore. He pushes you over the edge again and again, having you crying his name into his mouth over and over as you beg for him to finish in you, mark you as his.
But he doesn’t. He pulls out as he always does and finishes onto your thigh. It’s over then, the light shifting to a cold blue as the sun shifts behind a cloud. He moves away from you, gathering his clothes and dressing.
“When will I see you again?” He pauses, eyes meeting your own.
“You won’t see me like this for a while. At least, not this version of me.” You don’t know what that means, but he doesn’t give you any time to ask as he kisses you again so softly. His hand caresses your face, thumb rubbing your cheek as a tear falls from his face and onto yours. “But you will see me again, I promise.” As he pulls away, he places a final kiss on your forehead before stepping back towards your balcony. You let him go like you always do, but not without that horrible hole ripping through your chest.
The night of the ball drew closer, and there was no sign of Wonwoo or his brother. You were alone. The lessons ramped up, your father wanting there to be no chance of failure. You were his pawn, and he was so ready to make that final check. Your mother tried to get through the walls you put up, your sisters gushed every day about how lucky you were, how you were going to have the life of your dreams. But you weren’t. You wouldn’t be with Wonwoo. Wouldn’t be able to kiss him again, wouldn’t be able to hold him. You’d never be able to make him a dad.
“Your invitation madam?” Your mother was positively glowing with excitement, your sisters each hanging off one of your arms, you suspect to stop you from running. Your mother presents the invitation, and the guard cocks an eyebrow. “Please, this way for special guests.” You were escorted towards a separate entrance, a large pair of white wooden doors beset by giant boars on each side. The doors were parted for you, and the entrance was the most beautiful you’d ever seen. You were ushered inside, your sisters gasping and pointing at the artwork lining the walls. But your eyes were drawn to the three other girls.
“They’re your competition child.” Your father pulled you aside from your sisters and scanned you from head to toe. “But you’ve got a brain to best all of them. Be smart, be strong. Be the girl I raised you to be.” You glanced back over to them. Each one you knew to be a member of one of the aristocracies, as you were. You vaguely remember having a run in with the half-elf, but if she remembered you, she gave nothing away in the cold gaze she returned.
“If everyone is now here?” A voice sounded from the stairs above you. Your eyes followed where it was coming from, and the woman you saw standing there was the most beautiful you had ever seen. Dark eyes, with even darker hair cascading down her back that held soft curls that bounced as she began to walk towards you all. You had never seen this woman before, but something pulled at you from your stomach as if you recognised her.
“You are all chosen specifically by the princes themselves. My sister's sons wouldn’t allow for our intervention, so feel very lucky. Some of you would never have made it this far.” Her eyes fell on you at this, and your father bristled beside you. “Now, if you’ll follow me.” She sauntered towards the large doors across the marbled floors. You moved to follow the queen's sister, silently cursing yourself for not recognising her as your legs pulled you along before your brain could think of a reason to turn and run. She demanded that the girls line up, manhandling you all into a line with you left on the end. Your families were to follow along behind, and not say a word.
There was a commotion behind the doors, music filled whatever room you were about to be ushered into and laughter and conversations could barely be heard through these giant doors. You tried to smooth out the non-existent wrinkles of your dress, hands moving on their own as you chewed on your bottom lip.
There was a moment of silence before the doors swung open, and an even longer moment of silence when all the eyes in the ballroom fell upon you. Your gaze flitted from person to person, not a single face you couldn’t put a name to. Families with daughters much better suited for this match burned holes into your skull from jealousy. You were standing there, with the whole world at your fingertips and their daughter wasn’t.
You were ushered down the steps before you, the sea of people parting as the four of you made your ways forward. Your eyes were on the floor as you had been instructed to do so, never for a second daring to look upon the men sitting at the other end of the ballroom.
“This is the half-elf Carmae of the Boat Merchant.” You were right about recognising her then.
“This is the high elf Dauphine of the Gold Merchant.” You heard her light steps, the small “Hello sirs.” that sounded so beautiful falling from her lips as she greeted the men.
“This is the wood elf Avalynne of the Cloth Merchant.” You were next.
“This is the human Y/n of the Apothecary Merchant.” You stepped forward, curtseying as you were taught, eyes moving up to acknowledge the men before you.
“Hello sirs-“ Those eyes. That smile. Wonwoo sat before you, hand rested on his chin as he surveyed you. You felt a churning in your stomach as you let your eyes fall upon Seokmin beside him. His soft curls sat upon his head as he smiled ever so softly at you.
“We can now begin.” The music started up again as the crowd of people swallowed you up. Your sisters beamed at you as people swarmed you. They wanted to know where you got your dress “The Facemaker.” You politely replied. Who did your hair? “My mother wanted to.” You smiled at them. You were pulled from conversation to conversation. Every family wanted a piece of you. But your mind was back on Wonwoo. Your heart calling out to him across the floor.
His eyes followed you, dark and cold like you’d never seen them before.
“Wonwoo, calm down. She’s yours I’m not going to take her.” Seokmin leant over to his older brother, giggling slightly at the older man’s demeanour.
“I know you’re not. But they might.” He followed his brother’s gaze to the men being introduced to you by their fathers. “It seems like being the prince’s chosen gives a girl a certain…” His eyes scanned the crowd of men now surrounding you. Your father ever so keen to get you introduced to as many of them as possible. You were trying to be amicable, that soft smile on your face hiding the discomfort you felt. The burn of jealousy coursed through his veins as he watched you laugh and smile at these fools. If only they knew what he’d done to you, the noises he could pull from you with just his tongue or fingers. The way you beg him to cum in you, the tears in your eyes as he fucks you through another orgasm. You’d be too much for those idiots, they couldn’t make you feel how he did. Couldn’t make your body react the way he did.
“The princes will now have their first dance with each of the chosen.” Wonwoo and Seokmin stood, and the floor was cleared again. You finally found yourself walking back towards the man who held your heart in his hands and smiled. Wonwoo noticed that it finally reached your eyes.
“It is lovely to meet you Y/n.” He placed a soft kiss against the back of your hand.
“It is my honour sir.” You smiled even wider this time as he drew you closer as the music began.
“I hope you’re a good dancer.” He flashed you that dazzling smile once more as the music began up again.
“I hope you are too sir.” You felt the flush creep up your cheeks as the two of you started to dance. Your eyes glued to his as he led you across the floor, his never once leaving yours. You finally got what he meant that morning. While this was a surprise, you’d help him play the part for as long as it took to get your Wonwoo back.

Hello! I was curious if you’ve ever dabbled in pinniped plushies before!
I haven't, but maybe someday! I do think it would be fun to do a ribbon seal or a leopard seal.
A full list of what I've made can be found here!
A ribbon seal because they're neat:

Indonesia
I had heard of mummification occurring in very dry or very cold climates, but the lush, humid air of Indonesia hardly fell into that category. So how did the dead of this village become mummies? The answer depended on who you asked. Some claimed they would only mummify the body in the old way—pouring oils into the person’s mouth and throat, and spreading special tea leaves and tree barks on the skin. The tannins in the tea and bark bind with and shrink the proteins in the skin, making it stronger, stiffer, and more resistant to bacterial attack. The process is similar to how a taxidermist would preserve an animal hide (hence the word “tanning” in leather).
The new trend in Torajan body mummification is none other than good ol’ embalmer’s formalin (a solution of formaldehyde, methyl alcohol, and water) injected into the body. One woman I spoke to did not want her family members to receive the more invasive injections, but said in a conspiratorial tone, “I know other people are doing it.”
The villagers in this region of Toraja are amateur taxidermists of the human body. Given that the Torajans now use similar chemical formulas as North Americans to mummify their dead, I wondered why Westerners are so horrified at the practice. Perhaps it is not the extreme preservation that offends. Rather, it is that a Torajan body doesn’t sequester itself in a sealed casket, walled in a cement fortress underneath the earth, but instead dares to hang around among the living.**

Character Voice Tag
I wastagged by @patternwelded-quill , check out their blog, they've got some really good stuff there
Here are the rules: Rewrite the line of dialogue from the person who tagged you into the voice of your OC’s! (You can include a short beat of action to help establish character if you want.) Pass on the tag with a new line of dialogue.
My line: "Oh yeah, you really told him, didn't you?" (I'm interpreting this as sarcastic with the emphasis on 'really', "Oh yeah, you really told him, didn't you?")
Your line: " My feet hurt, can we slow down please?" Narul: The giant crossed his arms and sighed. "Well, I guess you told him, huh?"
Ninma: She glowered and rolled her eyes. " Yeah good job, stupid." She said, and then sealed the sentiment by blowing a loud and rather wet raspberry. (At just over five years of age Ninma is beginning to understand but has yet to fully grasp concepts like sarcasm, or tact.)
Otilia: "Mhmm, good job, really, I mean it. Good job, you told him." Her tone was sincere, and perhaps would have been believable, if not for her disdainful expression. (Merchant/Noblewoman tactful sarcasm)
Istek, Dati, and Sihunu (Yes I am counting them as one entry, I just wanted to keep the polycule together): The three shared a glance. Sihunu pursed her lips. "Oh wow, you really gave it to him didn't you? Proud of you."
"Oh yeah, you've really outdone yourself, really used your head, eh?" Dati added.
"What are you two talking about? That was damn stupid." (Much like Ninma, Istek's use of sarcasm and tact are somewhat limited though for quite different reasons.)
Wadikir: "You realllly let him have it didn't you? We're all *very* impressed. Aren't we everyone?" The merchant raised his blue-sleeved arms in the air and spun in a circle, as if waiting for a chorus of answers from the onlookers.
Zatar: A grunt and a sneer if he finds you tolerable. Otherwise silence, or worse. Sarcasm is not the Wrath's forte, save for a few of his bloodier moments.
I'm tagging @hallowedfury, @caitlin-devlin, and @wylanzahn and anybody else that is interested!

It doesn’t take a team of federal agents to figure out that if you picked up this magazine, you’re probably one of the 300 million people from around the world who watched some version of NCIS last year. That’s just a smidge under the entire population of the United States.
The massive fandom around the military procedural, which reigns as the most watched drama on broadcast TV, began in 2003 with a spectacular series premiere from cocreators Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. The episode, inspired by the 1997 movie Air Force One, introduced what would become the show’s signature recipe of action, emotion, and a dash of humor when agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard (David McCallum) investigate a mysterious death aboard the presidential plane.
We fell in love with Gibbs’ gruffness (OK, his good looks didn’t hurt either) and Ducky’s intellect. We were intrigued by the twisty case and fascinated by an agency we’d never heard of: the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, which solves crimes involving the Navy and Marine Corps.
Tumblr media
The distinct characters back at HQ sealed the deal. The original cast included a roundup of agents with lovable quirks: by-the-book profiler Caitlin Todd (Sasha Alexander), flirtatious Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly), and tech geek Tim McGee (Sean Murray). In the lab, we got the unexpected goth/nerd forensic specialist Abby Sciuto (Pauley Perrette) and Ducky’s dedicated and sensitive assistant Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen).
Over the years, NCIS built a reliable world that we could return to every week. It was governed by “Gibbs’ Rules,” practical guidelines for successfully solving cases and living life (new ones popped up all the time). We got to know our beloved characters better through eye-opening backstories, sometimes revealing tragic incidents. There were in-office rivalries and romances. (Tony and Ziva [Cote de Pablo] forever! — their story will continue in a new spinoff) Recognizable baddies kept coming back for more until the agents took them out—as we cheered them on from our sofas.
And those agents handled it all with the qualities expected at the real-life U.S. Naval Academy: “competence, character, compassion.” In a tumultuous world, it was a comfort to hang out at Navy Yard HQ in the bullpen, aka “the big orange room,” with decent folks like that.
As with any workplace, people have come and gone. Some we lost tragically. Others opted to move on. Saying goodbye to Gibbs when he retired in 2021 was the hardest. But NCIS has a way of reinventing itself. The new team leader, Alden Parker (Gary Cole), is more gregarious than the taciturn Gibbs, but as we’ve learned since he arrived, like his predecessor, he’s got plenty from his past that haunts him.
Bringing to life the multilayered characters of NCIS are writers, producers and crew, many of them with the show for decades. (Some even worked on JAG, the military legal drama from which NCIS spun off.) They’ve expanded into multiple spinoffs: NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS: Hawai‘i. The latest, NCIS: Sydney, debuted in November 2023.
Speaking to the deep staying power of not just the format but the characters, a forthcoming prequel, NCIS: Origins, will tell the story of a young Gibbs. Mark Harmon’s son Sean played the junior Leroy in NCIS flashbacks, but the new series will cast a different actor. Both Harmons will serve as executive producers.
The possibilities for the future of NCIS are endless. Bring on the milestone 1,000th episode of the franchise, coming in April!

Welcome back, “Master Gracey” || The Haunted Mansion: The Ghost Realm
Tumblr media
“It’s been 60 years since my last visit… and I must say, it’s been quite a while, “Master Gracey”. Your eyes, they’re such a beautiful sky blue, with fair skin and lovely freckles. And your hair, such a long, soft purple with white streaks. It would look so beautiful in my hatbox. I’ll take good care of it, fufufu~ Sadly, there simply is no time to catch up, for he is coming. And that devil... he is quite unpleasant, I'm afraid so.”
If you would like to participate in this essence, don’t be shy! This essence is a part two to the Barriere Hotel packages! Because of this, you can find everything to do with this essence underneath the [hotel] tag, and therefore, please use [hotel] in your ask! Also, while some of the titles use gendered terms like "men", they can be any gender! However, some characters here have established genders, like Leona [who is a girl] while some are masculine/feminine PRESENTING but technically genderless [like Collecting and "Ba'al"] so just keep that in mind ^^ if you're unsure, just ask :]

Investigative Journalism || Short Character/Skin Descriptions
Collecting Millennium | ???
An oddball. Collecting the heads of different spirits and sealing them inside his hatbox, something about them seems... wrong. He doesn't seem to have ever been human... almost like he's pure spiritual energy.
“Master Gracey” | Sophia "Gracey"
A descendant of the Gracey family. She ended up on the Barriere Hotel's grounds due to a mysterious letter simply addressed to one "Master Gracey".
The Hitchhiking Ghosts
A pair of three hitchhiking ghosts. It's said they were taken before their time, and aren't ready to depart from the living just yet... and they follow no master.
The Head Chef | ???
A hot-tempered ghoulish chef who follows the orders of the Hatbox Master. They harbor a particular hatred towards the "Host", becoming an explosive ghost at the mere mention.
The Searcher | ???
A lost soul, torn in half by the "Host" and left to permanently wander the ghost realm, sobbing in sorrow. They follow no one, too confused to realize there is a path to be desired.
The 5th Dimension | "Ba'al"
One of the few sentient locals of the 5th Dimension. The title sounds familiar... but you can't put your finger on why?
A Sanguine Gaze | "Sanguine"
A follower of the Hatbox, "Sanguine" is loyal to the master who rescued her from an eternity of blind suffering.
My Flannel Lover | Diane Winter
The dearest friend of Sophia, and a dear friend who recently went missing...
Visions of Fog | Leona Romans
The ancestor of Lucien Aliceson and a medium bridging the ghost realm with our own. She was granted with the power of visions.
The Phantom 5
A quintet of traveling ghost musicians... with powerful, hypnotic ghosts. They are followers of the "Host"... and are quite a tricky gang too.
The Stretching Portrait: The Tightrope Walker | Margret "Margie" Misfortune
A melancholy soul who died in a bad accident, orchestrated by the "Phantom of the Manor"... She is trapped within the depths of the manor and has placed her trust in the Hatbox.
The Stretching Portrait: The Dynamite Gentleman | ??? Hatchaway
A humble, shy gentleman, yet... a bit pathetic, and clumsy. He does not like people, asides from his little sister, his only ally in this cruel world.
The Stretching Portrait: The Three Quicksand Men The ??? Siblings
A trio of three siblings, illegitimate children to the Misfortune Family. They were condemned to the quicksand pit by their father to keep the "pristine" nature of the Misfortune Family... and have been forgotten by nearly all of history. Naturally, they follow the Hatbox, for the "Host" is but a cruel gleam of a life they were robbed of.
The Stretching Portrait: The Black Widow | Caitlin Misfortune
The wife of Mister Misfortune, who murdered her husband after the effective slaughter of the quicksand men. Those boys may not be her true sons... but a mother's fury always has a price to be paid. She sides with no one, only doing what's in the best interest of her boys. All four of them.
The Overseer: The Ghost Host | ???
??????
Twilight's Command | Twilight Bates

For Dammit Hedgi Day:
The one time Cisco was right.
About EVERYTHING
(time to finally write this fic!!!! 1x15 baybeeeeeee)
Being right used to feel like a victory to Cisco. Or, if not a victory, a shield at least. If he was right, the professor couldn't get too mad at his techniques or solutions. If he was right, he could cling to that instead of being bitter that he was the one grounded instead of Dante. If he was right, he could solve the problem.
He'd known something was wrong with the numbers and data for the trap, gathering dust in the subbasement. He'd known something didn't line up, with the picture in Nora's mother's mirror, the bloodstain on the wall. He'd known that there was more going on than a fifteen year old murder.
He watched the hologram fuzz and flare, the yellow of the Reverse Flash's suit off-color at this angle, with the backlights up this time. The distorted voice goes through the phrases, the same onesided script Cisco replayed in his mind every time he thought about that night.  It didn't make sense. It didn't make sense.
He was right.  The hunch Joe'd had, the talk of time travel that Stein had discussed with them before leaving the city, the numbers that just didn't sit right. All of it added up correctly, it was just the answer that everyone had gotten wrong. Staring across the room, his fingers numb on his laptop keys, Cisco knew he was right. There was no swell of vindication.
"Oh, I'm not like the Flash at all," the voice buzzed in his bones, as Cisco stared.
Being right wasn't going to be enough this time. Not if he had all the proof in the world.
"Some would say I'm the Reverse."
Dr. Wells stood in the elevator. He stood, dressed in black, back straight.
Cisco turned to look, sure he was going to die.
"You're incredibly clever, Cisco," Wells said, a look of pride on his face. It made Cisco's stomach twist. "I've always said so."
Wells stood there, hands in his pockets, just to the side. Cisco could see the light in the elevator,  just a few feet away, and knew he'd never reach it. Betrayal crashed into his heart. After everything, all of it was Wells. The accelerator, he realized.  Hartley had been right, too.  Locking the door on Ronnie sealed a fate Wells had planned for. What else had been Wells? Bette? Farooq? Had he planned for Snart to steal the cold gun to get it out of STAR labs, out of reach?
One thing was obvious. "You're him," Cisco said, needing to hear it. Until he did, he could pretend it was all some awful nightmare. He wanted to pretend it was all just some awful nightmare.  "The Reverse Flash."
Wells moved forward, one step, then another, slow and deliberate. Cisco stayed rooted to the spot, his heart racing. "You and I have never been properly introduced," he said, and Cisco wanted so badly to be wrong. Anything, anything to be wrong, like Caitlin's awful way of tormenting herself while sitting in the pipeline antechamber. But he was not wrong.
"I am Eobard Thawne." Wells ducked his head, a stupid little bow, like it was supposed to mean something.
"Thawne," Cisco repeated. "Like Eddie."
"Let's call him a distant relative." Cisco had worked with Dr. Wells--with Eobard Thawne--long enough to know the tightness between his eyes just then meant that he was insulted, though not why.
He wasn't dead yet. More questions he already had the answers to bubbled on his tongue. "The night we trapped the Reverse Flash," he said, gesturing to the trap's empty ribs without looking away, "You almost died."
He'd worn that guilt like a sweater all winter long. Dr. Wells--Eobard--plucked it from him with a chuckle.
"There were two of you," Cisco added, waiting for the answer, though he could guess. Hadn't Barry mentioned something like that only the night before? Seeing himself?
Dr Wells--Eobard-- raised a hand, one finger up as if to say "wait and see, you'll love this," and then there was another of him, both of them blurry at the edges, and a whirring noise Cisco felt more than he heard.
He couldn't stop himself from approaching.
"It's an after-image," Dr. Wells--Eobard-- said, real delight in his voice. He could have been talking about new equipment for the lab, announcing a new big project, not discussing how he'd faked his own injuries. " A speed mirage, if you will." He did the little bow again. Cisco couldn't breathe, wobbling on his feet as he started to circle.
He pressed his hands to his head. "Joe was right," he said without meaning to, still looking at his boss. "You were there that night, fifteen years ago."  Exactly fifteen, Cisco realized with a start. Dr. Wells--Eobard Thawne-- killed Nora Allen, framed Henry, destroyed a family. " Barry's house. You killed Nora Allen." The words hung in the air, shards of glass about to fall. Cisco couldn't get a breath. Dr. Wells--Eobard Thawne--killed Nora, killed those cops, and the scientists at Mercury, and now he would be next.
"It was never my intention to kill Nora," Dr. Wells--Eobard Thawne-- clicked Cisco's laptop shut.  "I was there to kill Barry."
"Why?" It burst out of him. Cisco knew he'd die down here, he wanted to at least have that answer.  "You're his,  his friend, you've been teaching him." And me, he didn't say. You've been my friend. You've been teaching me.  "how to--"
"Go faster," Dr. Wells--Eobard was circling again, tightening the loop. "Yes. I know. A means to an end. And I'll tell you why."
Because you won't be able to tell anyone else, he didn't say, but Cisco heard it all the same. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, as it screamed for him to run. His feet would not move. A hot tear dripped from one eye. He was going to die down here.
"Because I have been stuck here, marooned here, in this place for fifteen long years. And the Flash, and the Flash's speed is the key to my returning to my world, to my time." Dr. Wells--Eobard-- turned his back to Cisco, an ache in his voice. Cisco flinched as he turned back, slowly. "And no one is going to prevent that from happening."
Cisco's legs shook along with his hands, paralysis holding fast. He'd always thought his instinct was flight, not freeze. Not fawn.
"I can help you," he said, voice breaking around the words.  But Dr. Wells--Eobard only shook his head.
"You're smart, Cisco. But not that smart." He lifted a hand, the same awful blurring noise echoing in Cisco's teeth, in his lungs, in his pulse. Cisco looked down for a heartbeat that lasted too long, not wanting to see the moment his mentor's face changed forever. He couldn't see anyways, through the blinding tears.
His voice softened. "Do you know how hard it has been to keep this from you, especially from you? Because the truth is, I've grown quite fond of you."
Cisco dared to glance up, unable not to.  Maybe, just maybe, there was a way out of this. Maybe this is a moment where the story changes. Maybe, just maybe, he was wrong.
"--And in Many ways, you have shown me what it's like to have a son," he finished.
A moment stretched out, and so did Dr. Wells's hand.
It hurt so much that Cisco couldn't move, couldn't speak, his breath and any prayers on it rushing out of his body before he hit the floor.

Your in love, aren’t you? • The Flash Fanfic ⚡️
Tumblr media
HR Wells and Lea O’Conner One Shot | The Flash Fanfic ⚡️
Tumblr media
“HR your in love, aren’t you?” Lea asked with a grinned, standing in front of the taller man.
“W-what? Me? Me in love? Noooo!” HR tried to defend himself but his eyes said otherwise.
One thing that every Wells they met so held strongly was their eyes and mannerisms. It’s one thing she noticed the 3rd time around with The Wells crew, as much as Harry likes to deny him ever being compared to the others, it was clearly there.
“HR. I can see it in your face and your hand gestures today, matter a fact this whole week.” Lea pointed out with her hands on her hips.
“Maybe.” HR admitted with a goofy grin on his face, “Okay, I am in love!”
“Ooo who’s the pretty girl?”
“Tracy.”
“Tracy?!”
“Yes it’s her!”
HR was grinning and started to blush a bit. It was the cutest thing, rarely do you ever see a Wells blush. Grin like an idiot, yes. Blush? No. Lea started grinning brightly at the sight. HR was one of kindness and most sweetest people she knows, of course Tracy would go out with him.
“I just don’t know how to woo her.” HR admits with a smile fidgeting with his drumsticks a bit.
Lea sat down and nods, “What do you mean? HR, honey, all you gotta do is ring in that classic Wells charm.”
“How, flower? I-I don’t know how women on Earth 1 like to woo..”
“Awwww! First off, if she likes you back then Tracy has great taste in men. And secondly, buy her a small bouquet of flowers and a size small of favorite coffee.”
“Ohhh! I can add a little custom note, like a poem.”
“There you go! Use that writer brain of yours HR. Your a Wells, your clever than anyone.”
HR grinned brightly bouncing up from his chair and with a flicker of his wrist placed his hat on his head. Always a flare for the dramatically sweet moment. Lea laughed a little, practically seeing his gears turning in his head. Always happy to help a friend like him.
“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you so much, flower! I know excited what I’m going to do!” HR yelled excitedly and pulled her into a adorable embrace, placing a kiss of her forehead always grateful for his friends.
She laughed hugging him back tightly, knowing all he needed was a small push. “Your welcome, HR! Now go on before it’s too late, it’s 2:31pm already!” Lea replied with a smile.
“R-right! I’m going now, don’t tell anyone okay?”
“Of course not. Theses lips are sealed, I won’t tell a soul.”
“Promise? At least until I tell Cisco.”
“I won’t tell anyone, HR.”
The writer of Team Flash left with a grin, not before grabbing his black jacket and almost stumbling out the door in excitement. Once she was sure he was gone, she smirked with a dazzling look in her eyes.
“I’mma go tell Caitlin.” Lea said with a cheeky smirk to herself and raced off to the top floor.
⚡️ Thank you for reading this short one shot. I hope you enjoy it!

"it hurts.” / “make it stop.” for the hurt/comfort sentence starters and with Barrisco please please please please?
Disclaimer for this one: there’s some medical stuff in here, which I tried to keep vague because although I did research this, I’m not a medical student 😅 and thus have no idea how to extract a knife. So…hopefully I got most stuff right, but for the stuff I didn’t…writer’s license
Under the cut, since it got long:
Cisco was a superhero, just like Barry. Being a superhero meant that Cisco would get hurt…especially since he lacked superspeed. Logically, Barry understood this.
But logic was little use when Cisco was laying in the medbay, sweat and tears running down his face from a blade embedded in his stomach. Possibly, according to Caitlin, in an artery.
“Cisco?” Barry gripped his shoulder tightly with one hand, squeezed his hand with the other. “Cisco, stay with me, okay? Stay with me!”
“Hurts…” Cisco moaned, eyes screwed tightly shut. “It…hurts…”
“I know, honey, I know.”
“Make it…stop…”
“Just a little longer, okay?” Barry glanced desperately at Caitlin. “Anesthesia?”
“Right, right!” Caitlin, looking terribly frazzled herself, injected it into Cisco, knocking him out. Then she took a deep breath. “Okay. Okay, now for the knife.”
Barry held back a biting comeback about her lack of composure. It couldn’t be easy operating on her best friend.
Caitlin made incisions, slowly dissecting in, explaining: “I have to do it like this so I can extract the knife without disturbing anything. If we’re lucky, it didn’t hit an artery.”
They were, in fact, lucky. The knife had barely missed piercing any organs, so Caitlin removed it without much fuss…even while Barry trembled like a leaf and couldn’t bear to look at what she was doing for long.
He’d shed his squeamishness years ago—a necessary task, to be a good CSI—but…knowing it was Cisco…
He resisted the urge to throw up.
“Barry?” Caitlin squeezed his hand, bringing him back to reality. “It’s out. I sealed everything. He’s gonna be okay.”
Indeed, when Barry followed her gaze…the incisions were all sealed up, and the bloody blade lay on a towel on top of a table.
“He’ll need some time to recover,” Caitlin continued, “but the damage is repaired. And he didn’t lose too much blood, so we shouldn’t need a transfusion. Barry?” Caitlin squeezed his hand. “It’s good that you got him here as quick as you did.“
“Yeah.” Still, he couldn’t look away from Cisco, who was fast asleep. “Yeah, I guess so.”
***
Barry wasn’t sure when he drifted off…but when he woke, it was to Cisco’s smiling face and a cheerful, “Morning, Sleeping Beauty.”
All remains of sleep left him as he sat fully up, beaming in relief. “You’re awake!”
“Yeah.” Cisco tried to sit up and winced. “Ugh. Can’t move though.”
“Then stay still, I’ll come to you.” And so Barry did, leaning down to kiss his boyfriend. “You had me so worried, you know that?”
“Cait mentioned.” Cisco softened, stroking Barry’s face. “She also said you barely slept.”
Barry laughed bitterly. “How could I, when my best friend and the love of my life was lying here in pain?”
“I’m okay, Bar.” Cisco squeezed his hand. “I promise. Takes a lot more than a knife to kill me.”
“Don’t even joke about that,” Barry said fiercely, his lower lip trembling. “I…Cisco, if something…if I’d lost you…”
“But you didn’t,” Cisco said softly. “I’m right here. And I’m not going anywhere…okay?”
“Okay,” Barry relented, shedding his worry for just this moment. Cisco didn’t need to worry about him on top of himself.
“Besides,” Cisco teased, “now you know how we feel every time you get hurt.”
Barry paled. “You feel like this? That’s terrible!”
“That’s what I’ve been saying!” Cisco laughed. “But the worry is part of the love. We accepted that a while ago…and so did I, when the two of us started dating. I get it, okay? So just…try to get it for me too.”
“Okay,” Barry agreed, more sincerely this time. “I will.”

SisterofSomeone's Masterlist!
Hiya! I'm SisterofSomeone, otherwise known as Caitlin. I'm 23 and am slowly coming back to into the world of fanfiction writing. So here is my very barebones masterlist, and some little insights into some fics I have planned, enjoy! If you would like to be added to my tag list just send me a message or comment on here, I’d be more than happy to add you 🥹💜
Just as a little warning, I won't write: full non-con (cnc and dub-con are allowed), minors, excessive gore, full incest (e.g. brother x sister, but step brother x step sister is cool with me), pregnancy scares/unplanned pregnancy, more may be added as I think of them and I always hold the right to not answer/write for whatever reason I want :)
