still enchanted with the idea of making a little mod that does nothing but add readables. that would be within my power i think. notes, newspapers, case files, letters and such. absolutely no gameplay benefit beyond forgetting you've installed it and finding the odd letter you're sure you've never encountered. i love making tiny Things.

Been working on a bunch of random projects recently and haven't really finished any of them... Got a nice make your own backsaw kit, been trying to get decent at saw sharpening, working on some jigs for making some stakes furniture, and been working on improving my hand cut dovetails. Also been reading some great books from Lost Art Press, the Anarchist Design Book and the Joiner and Cabinet maker have been adding tons of fun ideas of things to make.

Oh and I got a new tongue and groove plane, it's super fun.

Quite a lot! I at least want to get through most of the initial Prime Empire stuff, and start planning/writing snippets of other arcs as well. I’ve had this AU bouncing around in my skull for so long (coming up on a year now??) that I really want to put a lot of time and thought into it before I start posting it!

Also I’m. Very shy shdkdhdkdh so I wanna make sure everything’s good for my own sanity

22. Will this fic include more fluff or angst?

I think it’ll be a healthy mix! I myself am a huge angst enjoyer so it will have it’s moments but I like when a fic has those moments balanced well with fluff, character relationship moments, positive character development, etc. Plus not everyone enjoys a ton of angst and I want it to be accessible for people who want silly fun times as well!

7. What are your plans for Nadakhan?

As always:

On a serious note though, I’m gonna be reworking him a bit so he’s actually. Well written. I hate hate haaaaate the forced marriage plot and think it’s kinda really stupid so his motivations for everything are going to be more “you destroyed my home realm you fucks” as to why he ends up going after the ninja

Also in my opinion he goes from “interesting villain with a compelling backstory” to “one note creep” really fast in the show so HDKDHDKHF he’s getting an overhaul for my own sanity

Me aggressively rewriting Skybound like I can fix it I can FIX it

9. Is there anything in the fic you’re not excited about writing?

A lot actually and most of it is because I still have to plan everything out HAKAHSKSH

My biggest issue right now is figuring out how to balance the seasons that won’t have a ton of changes in their actual events. Like Hands of Time happens pretty much the same as canon and I’m unsure of exactly how to make that interesting without just rewriting everything. I’m having a similar issue with most of the Ice Chapter of Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu and the Oni trilogy. I’ll figure it out but I’m not looking forward to actually trying to write that stuff out haha

There’s enough stuff I AM excited to write that outweighs that though!! It gets me motivated to write even the things that I’m not looking forward to as much

so I made a joke about a caligari reanimated collab but I have no idea how I'd actually do something like that... and then a few people said they'd be up for it

so uh. if you wanna see how far we can get with something like this. I'll make a discord? and we can maybe plan it? ig? I'm thinking depending on how many people join in, we can either do a single act of the film (there are six total) or longer, where everyone gets a period of time to do their thing- again, the length depending on how many people end up joining. you don't have to be a skilled animator to participate; all skill levels are welcome! and if you don't animate at all, you can still contribute- for some of these reanimated collabs, people act out scenes, make puppets, paper cutouts, etc. and ofc, video editing, sound design, etc. would also be good to have on board! I can't promise we'll get a full product done, or if this will be coordinated well at all, lol. but it would maybe be interesting to see how far something like this could go?

Some time ago i made a mane 6 for a MLP next gen AU called "the oddverse" (the first 3 characters were made last year or so and the other 3 were made just last month) idk if i'm going to be fleshing out this AU anytime soon though

Basically the whole gist of the AU was that discord got reformed long before twilight came to ponyville and cadence got with him instead of shining armor, eventually they had a kid named rarepair who ended up fucking up the universe and a bunch of characters who AREN'T from MLP's universe are now IN the universe, having weird kids with the ponies in the process. Canon ball is the protag of the AU and she's basically trying to figure out why the universe is like this

Characters and ships

Rarepair (intersex nonbinary, any pronouns) - empress cadence x discord

Canon ball (cis female, she/her) - lyra heartstrings x sweetie drops

Peanut jar (trans male, he/him) - rainbow dash x barry b benson

Pity party (AFAB nonbinary, they/them, they have wings but they're hidden under their jacket) - queen celestia x cupcakes!pinkie pie

Dexter (cis male, he/him) - derpy hooves x cabinet man (not a personification of the song or anything, LITERALLY *JUST* THE SONG)

Beatrice (trans female, she/her, name pronounced "beet rice") - capper x james baxter from adventure time

Also i hate to get your hopes up, but mordetwi isn't canon in this AU. Twilight is actually with the hunter from little nightmares
