Not only because of the biological traits that prevents them from doing so, but also because they tend to be too territorial and dominant for a relationship to work. However, as rare as it is, there are cases of alphas falling for one another and somehow building a functional committed relationship. Han Jisung and Lee Minho were one of these few cases. Their instincts showed on their first meeting, a pair of alphas trying to one up the other constantly and even getting physical more often than not. However, the more they fought and tried to dominate the other, the more they felt it was less about pride and more about just having contact with the other. Because there's another well-known fact about alphas, and it's that they tend to have the thickest, most intense sexual tension ever. It was specially obvious with these two, to the point they made everyone around them uncomfortable with their displays. Of course, didn't surprise anyone that they ended giving in their urges and fucking like animals during a common friend's party. Jisung wasn't the typical alpha, fitting more in the traits of an omega sometimes and letting Minho pamper him like one, but those close to him knew the boy owned up to his rank by every word. An alpha is already territorial by nature, so one can guess the chaos two of them can bring. Minho had beat people almost to death for getting too close to his Sungie. But as happy as they were together, they couldn't stop feeling something was missing. Like the last piece for a puzzle to fit. It frustrated them to no end, not being able to be completely content with what they had. They tried all they knew to find out what it was, to no end.

Then it all makes sense finally. That's the missing piece. She was what they've been looking for all this time. What their hearts had been crying out for. When she's with them, they feel complete and at ease, and they share a silent agreement.

When she hits her heat, it's completely unexpected and particularly strong. She had been taking her medication for it and, according to her phone calendary, it shouldn't have arrived until some weeks later so she doesn't understand what happened (she couldn't know her new "friends" replaced her pills and changed the calendary on purpose). She's now sweating in her bed, curling in ball in her underwear because she feels fire underneath her skin, her insides ache and throb in feral need, and the world around her seems blurry, confusing. There's only one thing that can calm her down, and what a coincidence, her alpha friends just passed by to "visit her" and sensed the smell, the delicious calling of an omega in heat. Their omega, who needs them to help, to relieve her from this pain. The omega tries to fight it at first, knowing she's not on her right mind, but her instincts betray her and surrender to the alphas looming over her like predators about to devour their prey. And that's probably the best way to describe them.
Minho's plan was to wait out until she begged for them, but Jisung was losing his mind with the smell that reeked the entire place. The younger just wanted to jump on her already and claim what was theirs, and Minho was struggling to remain in control of himself too. In the end, the frustration for having waited so long and the omega's arousal was messing with their senses, and so they gave in what they've been craving since they met her.
It was messy, rough and animalistic. Their feral instincts took over them and they made sure each trace of her skin was covered in their scent. They kissed, gropped, bruised, marked every piece of her body they pleased. By the end of it, she was shaking in their hold, overstimulated, cum running through her skin. Right after that event, their relationship takes a shift. She doesn't feel entirely comfortable with them after what happened, no matter how much pleasure they brought her, but can't bring herself to cut ties with them. They notice her distance and slightly panic. Jisung proposes to take her already before she strays away at once, but Minho calms him down and says she's uncapable of leaving them now. She's on step in their claws, and if they play their cards right, she'll come to them willingly. In the meantime, they force themselves to endure the "only friends" status and swallow the poison that threatens to choke them in their tongue when she's being close to others.
It's not that surprising seeing other alphas infatuated by her. They understand it, she's a gorgeous being and the world should be put to her feet, but it doesn't ease the boiling rage they feel when they see some of these unworthy assholes staring at her too much or trying their luck with her. They've beated and almost killed some of them for this. Alpha are terribly territorial and they can't stand the slighest glint of competence..
Since she doesn't have any claim marks, she's considered single and so other alphas flirt with her openly. She finds a liking to one of them, a friendly alpha that treats her with a softness she's not really familiarized with. She walks around with his smell on her, and MinSung see red. Omega is confused at why her love interest stopped talking to her, and dissapeared from the face of earth all of sudden, but she doesn't have time to question further before a pair of furious alpha storm in her house. bridgette is CRIMINALLY underutilized and underrated by both fresh and the fandom. after tdi bridgette was a satellite character to geoff, hell she was the first girl booted in both tda and tdwt. and looking for bridgette centric stories is near impossible on ao3, since shes almost always tagged with geoff, and even then the two are mostly used as secondary characters, typically to courtney and duncan. i guess in short, im frustrated that bridgette isnt getting her chance to shine as a character in her own right. -🦋

I don't think Bart sees only one person as a father figure, really? I am a firm believer in Barry & Max (aka his uncle) as father figures, but I do think Bart and Boomer would just get along - Boomer is known to get bored quickly, he's not able to sit still, speaks and does before he thinks. It's just very close to Bart (at least at the start of the comic).
He's not even close to a parental figure - with his behavior and only light protective tendencies - but he could be someone who gets him. He understands how it is to not be able to sit still even when you have to, but he can work around the speedster thing instinctively without making it shitty for Bart. Furthermore, he doesn't need to be fast to get the boy, and maybe that's all their relationship needs to be.
A proof of what could have been. A show of what will never be.
But I think their relationship, overall, would be more interesting if Boomer would never be nor try to be a father figure to him. I like them more as friends or smth alike, idk, it just fits for me more!
Good father Boomer usually means Owen for me, because while he wouldn't be a typical father, he would be a good one for his boy.

They spent the remaining show glued to her side. How everytime he hugs her, he has an arm locked on her waist and the other wrapped around her neck, almost like he's caging her to prevent her from moving. She chuckles awkardly, worried fans might notice the intimate nature of it, but he doesn't relent.
Minho isn't any better. He pulls her closer by the waist and pretends to whisper something in her ear, while he's actually pulling up the collar of her outfit slightly to suck the skin there. When she tries to shy away, turns out she has Han right behind her, grabbing her by the shoulders and displaying a cute grin so the fans thinks it's all part of their antics. None of them realize how they're slowly inching closer and closer until their bodies are practically shielding her. They even push other members away softly when they try to interact with 9th member too, barely concealing the growing agitation.
They simply don't let her catch a break for the duration of the show. They keep leaving bruises and marks on her skin unnoticed, playing it off as a result of their playful "fanservice". When she asks them at some point in hushes whispers what the hell they're doing, she receives two pair of glares that are carefully hidden from the cameras and promise an entire night of punishment. She lets all of it happen, a small part of her enjoying it, but also feeling uncapable of resisting them. She's utterly under their control and they know, they know how compliant and obedient their sweet doll is. It's the people who have a problem, gawking their eyes at something they're not even worth looking at and foolishly thinking themselves deserving of begging for more of it, pushing her to break the rules.
The members know better than to intervene at this point. Luckily they can draw some of the attention to themselves and downplay anything as harmless fanservice. Minho doesn't relent his hold on her waist, brushing her cheeks with his nose and whispering dark promises in her reddening ears. Jay wasn't huge on helping Suicide Squad at first, but after a few times Bart and Barry came back all jumpy and excited, even he had to rethink his stand on the TFX missions. In the end, it was better to be close to the possible danger.
So here he was, now after their first mission together, standing next to Wally, Hal and Barry, while the rest of their merry group watched a silly cartoon next to them. At this point, their conversation strayed back onto the topic of their little "get together". It's not that Jay didn't see the trio a lot, but time was different for every speedster in some way. Barry, so alike Bart, hated the way a second could last days, so he usually tried his best not to be "faster" in that way and took time traveling risks only when needed - or so he said.
"...and like usual, it'd be way smoother without your hot-headed temperament, Hal - right Barry?" a softly delivered joke went through the Flash, making the younger speedster stop and look at the man. Jay noticed that the blue eyes were staring at something on their left, so he followed them with his own glare.
At first glance, their dear superhero was just looking at the rest of their team. Bart and Harley were sat on the couch, younger ranting about something connected to Johnny Bravo, which was playing in front of them.
While it was a sweet sight, Jay couldn't help, but notice that the thing in actual first plan wasn't them, nor the couch, but Captain Boomerang, bent over the back of the couch, lazily sipping a beer. His long body was strung up in some places, making the t-shirt a tight fit over his back. But if it'd be that what caught Barry's eyes, Jay wouldn't find even a small issue with it, but the glaring wasn't ending on the upper part of Boomer's body - it was on the lower part. If Flash would have Superman's powers, he'd burn the Rouge alive.
Jay couldn't help the automatic response of slapping Barry upside his head, a disappointed grimace on his face.
"Ow, what was that for?" Flash looked at him, obviously confused, until Jay answered his question.
"Barry, I cannot believe you from all people would stare at someone's... behind like that." the older man's tone was softly quiet, yet still offended.
If Hal and Wally wouldn't be who they are, maybe they wouldn't catch his words. But usually when you put a space cop and one of beacons of hope together, you should expect them to catch things others don't.
Barry hates that fact right now, his face burning from embarrassment, when they side glance at the same place he was looking at, noticing the Rouge bent over.
"No, no, no, no! It's not like-!" he scrambled to explain, before Jay shot him a judgy look.
"Barry, do not lie to me, you were eyeing him like he's a steak! I've met a lot of men who couldn't stop looking at others like that, but I cannot believe you, my boy, would be one of them." he shakes his head lightly. "I just- I didn't even think you of all people would need to learn some manners!"
While Barry gets redder, almost matching his suit, Hal and Wally can't contain their laughter.
"Oh my stars, it's the funniest shit. Did- Did our beloved sweet angel got caught staring at Boomer's ass?!" GL shook hysterically, while laughing with his whole body. His left hand landed on Flashes arm, shaking him while the owner hid his face. "How does it feel ending up on the dark side, huh?"
Wally, before his mentor could react, chuckled and said jokingly:
"You should make him apologize, Jay, that'll teach him!"
The older Flash considered it visibly, before nodding his head in agreement, making Barry freeze in his place in fear.
"You know what, that's not a bad idea-"
"No, no, no, no-! Jay, please, you know me! It was just a moment of weakness, it won't happen again! C'mon, please, no- I'll stop, I swear, I will-!"

Probably listens to him out of boredom and when they heard something they disagree on just told him it and they started arguing
Guards told them to shut up
Have conversations from time to time since they actually have arguments to support it
At least they're less bored and with time conversations go to more personal topics; why they're here, what they like etc.
He tells them they make this place more bearable
Looks out to talking with them, might accidentally told therapist about it
Ask if they want to team up after they get out of Arkham
After getting together he makes sure they won't get send to Arkham as often; he might enjoy their company but he doesn't want them stuck there
Scarecrow
Probably saw them reading book that interested him and he started a conversation
Tries to guess why they're there
Get along pretty well since they're not afraid of him, often play chess together
People for first time see him so relaxed,it's kinda weird
Proposes partnership after getting out of Arkham, maybe more-
Mad Hatter
When he saw them being put in cell next to him he was like "Would you like a tea?" And they accepted
Talked to each other when they were bored and drank tea together at lunch
They started thinking he was cute and were just caught staring
He likes that someone is actually listening to him
Joker
They were new but still heard of Joker so tried to keep their distance
But at one of his antics in cafeteria they laughed which got his attention
Shit
Tries to get to know them and doesn't leave their side, it's just kinda their life now
Gets used to it isn't sure why he wanted to hang out with them so much though but it's kinda... cute
Tries to guess what they did to get thrown here
When they started dating everyone was like "Not again."
At least now he tries to get them out of Arkham
