ive been betwitched by bring me the horizon and if any of you know me well, you know music inspires so many of my fics. That being said....
prepair for me to me to post songs and little rambles cuz I've been having ideas for rockstar eddie and singer steve and also Robin and Chrissy have a band. And Robin likes to sing in different languages. Ive already sent two rambles to a friend. So once i edit them.... I'll post them. Along with the songs that inspired them.

Chapter 4: Sand Betwitched
You both had a busy work schedule, him more than you, you realize, but the casino itself was busy or not at odd times. He wanted to take you on, as he had put it, a proper dinner date, and it was decided that a week from this Sunday would be the day in question. Sundays weren't necessarily low volume in the Casinos, but the 7-day buffer gave him time to adjust schedules as needed.
"Buggy's not going to be keen on my being out two weekend days in a row." You admit, already imagining how stressed his face was going to look at the news.
"I can smooth things over with him." Crocodile offers.
"Don't threaten my boss," you smirk. "Buggy's already wound tighter than most."
There's a light chuckle from him. "You're finally relaxing, Miss (Y/N)."
"I'm doing my best," you admit a little nervously. "We... did talk for a long time, and I did enjoy it quite a lot." Your voice tapers off slightly at the end as embarrassment rises in you.
"Mm." The rumble from his chest when he hums has you reconsidering having allowed him to come sit beside you while you sorted out the schedule for your second date. "I won't threaten Buggy, despite his demeanor, his work is solid. At the very least the morale of his employees is the highest amongst all the locations."
You weren't surprised.
"What're you going to do then, tell him you're 'randomly' kidnapping me to come work at your location or something?"
"Hm, kidnapping you, now there's a simple solution."
You roll your eyes at the blatant teasing and tap your finger on the table. "Focus, Sunawani, focus."
As soon as the words leave your mouth you realize the mistake that you've made. His eyes come into sharp focus and there's the sensation of being caught in a predator's gaze. His right arm slips easily around your shoulders and his body turns toward you. You have, by your own request, his complete and undivided attention, and you suddenly feel as if there's no escape. Your heart's pace quickens, and while you're not scared that he'll do something in such a public place, you're a little concerned to realize that you want him to.
Something in his eyes speaks of a deep desire. It wasn't just two months of conversation that had brought his interest to you this completely. He was attracted to you physically as much as he was your personality. The rush of your sudden need was overpowering your concerns about his position, and your careful plan of going on a couple dates before stepping away from him was disappearing into dust before your eyes.
Fingers slip along your shoulder, and he leans in close to your ear. Heat is rising in your face before he speaks, and his words nearly make you whimper out loud.
"You have my complete attention, Miss (Y/N)."
You can't bring yourself to look at him, even though you're certain the rush of blood was evident on your face. Swallowing hard, you try to sound less needy than you suddenly find yourself feeling. Considering the rising desire to simply grab him by the collar and collapse into a mess of dangerous kisses, you feel you're doing well to simply speak.
"What's your schedule for the rest of today?" You ask, your voice barely above a whisper.
"That's quite the suggestion." He muses, fingers reaching over and lazily rolling an errant lock of your hair between them. "I have no obligations or concerns beyond focusing on you. Miss. (Y/N)." The punctuation of the last three words was entirely uncalled for, as far as you were concerned, and you could feel heat pooling between your thighs. The focus of his gaze makes you certain he's aware, and you felt almost uncomfortably exposed, as though he could read your mind with hardly any effort.
"Then... perhaps..." You try your best to sound nonchalant, but your tongue runs across your lips in unconscious anticipation. "We should consider a change of venue." You suggest, finally turning enough to meet his gaze. Your heart throbs in your chest, and you felt your breath hitch. Your initial crush on Crocodile when you'd started your job at the casino was worthless compared to what you were feeling right now.
You'd never once seen such fire in the man's eyes. Sir Crocodile was relaxed, suave, calm, and seemed almost entirely disinterested in everything. The amber golden eyes looking at you right now, half-lidded as they always were, had an intensity and fire within them you couldn't have imagined. There was a sense of fear on the edges of your mind, as if you were slowly losing your last chance to flee.
"And what sort of venue do you suggest?" He prompts, bringing the traitorous lock of hair to his lips for a brief kiss. By the gods if you could just know what those lips felt like against your own.
You weren't one for risky choices, at least not normally, but if you were going to go for it, you might as well go for it. Nothing says feet-first like throwing twenty-some years of caution to the wind in a single sentence.
"The kind where no one else would know."
. . . . . .
You maintained just enough of your sense to insist that you drive separately to this new location. You're in your car with the address of the place Crocodile had chosen, a discreet, but nice hotel. It was a little nearer to your home than his, and you wondered if that was by design or simply happenstance. He had said or promised nothing, the meaning behind the hotel room was enough, but agreeing to drive separate also meant he would accept your decision to simply end the day.
Or so you assumed.
There was something that compelled you, almost like the ground shifting beneath your feet, and as you pulled your car out of the parking lot of the café, you headed toward the hotel.
Nerves, need, anticipation, concern, and a bundle of other rushing emotions made your stomach twist. The flash of his eyes in your memory, the shift from the seemingly disinterested and still sleepy face that first greeted you at the café, to the eyes of a man paying complete attention to you, was not helping you in deciding what to do.
There were several places along your drive where a simple turn in the opposite direction would have you on the path to home, and while you bit your lip in indecision a few times, you continued onto the hotel regardless. The consequences of your decisions were for the you of tomorrow.
The you of today had lived within the lines her entire life, and you had been attracted to Crocodile since you first started working at Rain Dinners. If a completely randomized dating app had saw fit to grace you with this opportunity, then you should at least give things a chance. Maybe even a real and proper chance.
When you pull into the hotel parking lot you follow the signs and pull up to the entrance. There is a valet service provided, and even if it felt a little weird to have your completely normal car parked by a valet, it was rude to just park yourself. You thanked the nice young man who took your keys without even a hint about his feelings regarding your car and felt your phone buzz as you stepped into the entry way.
Him: Room 713
You feel your heart skip. You let out a slow steady breath to try and calm your heart, and tuck your phone away as you walk through the lobby to the elevators.
The hotel was certainly above and beyond what you would normally go for. It wasn't something so grand as to be out of your reach, but it was certainly beyond the frugal options you usually settled on. You slipped through the traffic of people coming and going in the open hall and found that you didn't really stand out. There weren't people in suits and evening gowns, and your own clothes were just enough to at least avoid looking out of place.
No one else was in your elevator car, and as such there was nothing to slow your ascent to the 7th floor. Stepping out into the wide hall, you felt as though there was no one else on the floor, it was so quiet. The few steps to room 713 felt impossibly long, and you could feel cold nerves and needy heat struggling within you with each step.
You knocked on the door numbered 713, biting your lower lip nervously. The click of the knob and the action of the door opening pulled your attention up along the lines of black clothes, barely visible against the darkness of the room behind them. Subtle lines that drew your eyes further up, the sweet and heavy scent of cigar smoke, and the unmistakably intense gaze of golden amber eyes, taking you in from beneath hooded lids.
The line of his scar seems to have more of a smile than his own lips, even as the corners of his mouth rise in appreciation. Whatever he had done to diminish the scar during your meal was washed away from his face now. The glove was off from his prosthetic hand, but your mind was barely able to appreciate the tempered glass digits, thin lines of gold filigree threading along the joints, and encasing the delicate mechanisms that powered the neural prosthetic.
"Miss (Y/N)," he greets, barely stepping back enough to allow you entry into the room. "Please, do come in."
There was a feeling again, like the ground shifting loosely beneath your feet. You glance down the hall, back to the elevators, for just the briefest of looks, and can feel a sharp gaze pierce you. He makes no move or sound to dissuade you from your choice, but you could sense fully his desire. You look away from the hall, heat rising in your face as you meet his eyes for just a moment.
Stepping forward you fill the small space between the door his body. This close you could smell the soft scent of citrus and warm sand, mixed in with the smoke of a cigar, and the warmth of his body. His prosthetic hand closes the door as his right hand and body keep you against the wall. You spare one last glance at the door, the last few threads of light disappearing behind it as it clicks shut softly.

when gojo cared for you, he didn't introduced you to megumi right away. he was uncertain how megumi would react knowing that he has yet another half sibling and just like he had anticipated, megumi expressed disinterest at you when he first heard you from gojo.
but, that changed when gojo brought you to megumi for the very first time. megumi wasn't sure if it was because of your age gap to him, the fact that you were so young compared to him or the fact that you were a being of chaos with a betwitching charisma and aura.
"megumi-kun! meet your younger half-sister, [name]!"
"i told you i didn't want t—gojo immediately handed you to the older fushiguro kid he took custody with despite his protests of not wanting to hold you.
megumi let out a sigh, shaking his head before bringing you to his face to get a good look at you. "so, this is [name].."
"yeah, i have kikufuku under my wing so you don't have to worry about thing. all i ask is for you to be nice to her, your dad almost sold her off to the zenins just like you, you know?" gojo explained a bit too nonchalantly, prompting megumi to widened his eyes.
"but why? i don't sense any cursed energy from her." megumi furrowed his brows, peering at your big [color] eyes that was staring at him with curiosity and interest.
"probably to make kikufuku over here just like your dad." gojo sighed, reaching a hand to ruffle your hair. "luckily, he asked me to look after [name] instead. she's just a baby. your dad is quite the jerk, yeah?"
"you better take good care of [name]."
gojo looked at megumi in surprise, watching him hold you more properly and firmly this time in his arms, which caused you to smile and start clinging onto him.
"what's with the change of heart? i thought you didn't like her?" gojo raised a brow, a smirk tugging on his lips.
"well, [name]'s my sibling, isn't she? and it's.. it's my personal feelings." megumi turned his head away from the white haired man.
"you know what? it's the same for me. i get it. not even i could resist your little sister when i first saw her." gojo found himself chuckling at the older fushiguro. "i'll take good care of [name]. i did promise your dad that."
"i have one more thing to ask." megumi interjected.
"geez, what is it?" gojo sighed in an exasperated manner.
"i want to see [name] from time to time too." megumi says, looking at you with a small smile.
"consider it done, i already planned on making that happen whether you were going to ask or not." gojo smiled at him and you. "i'll bring kikufuku over when you're not busy, okay?"
"okay.. and why do you call [name] your kikufuku?" megumi gives gojo a weird look.
"i suggest pinching her cheeks, you'll understand why she's a kikufuku." gojo states, clasping his hands together before bringing a hand to pinch your cheek, prompting you to giggle and coo.
"weird nickname but okay." megumi mumbled, shaking his head before looking at you once again.
"you want me to give you a nickname too?" gojo asked.
"what? no!" megumi scoffed.
instead of gojo, you were the one who gave him a nickname.
"gumi!" you say adorably, making grabby hands to your older half-brother.
"aww! look at you two. [name] has a nickname for you already." gojo claimed, "but actually, you should call him 'gumi-nii'. megumi-kun over here is your older brother, kikufuku." he tells you.
"gumi-nii!" you repeated after gojo.
both him and megumi had the biggest smiles after that.
ever since then, megumi warmed up to you. he was genuinely glad whenever gojo brought you to him at jujutsu high during his freetime amd it didn't take long for it to become a routine.
megumi contacts gojo whenever he hasn't heard about you or when you haven't visited him yet in a week (it worries him, but also mostly because he has grown attached to you and he wants to see you)
he was much closer to you compared to tsumiki and has the same urge as gojo to protect and look after you. he regretted not acknowledging and not wanting to see you sooner. because he was much closer to you, megumi lets his guard down and smiles more often around you, showing his softer side. he gets angry at gojo whenever he's being irresponsible at his parenting on you.

Is it technically correct to call Bad Buddy a romance? After all, this isn't exactly a story about Pat and Pran falling in love; they are already there. In this episode, Pat and Pran spend the majority of their time flirting with each other while everybody around them picks ugly fights, and things start descending into chaos on both fronts.
OUR ROMEO AND THE FAIR JULIET

I said it last week and I'll probably say it every week: these two are SPRUNG. They cannot see or speak to each other without dropping some barely-veiled innuendo, making 'jokes' which are basically 'you totally wanna date me right? HEH HEH' or putting hands on each other somehow. Things are heating up rapidly, and because Pat and Pran already started out so near the boil in terms of the feelings soup they've been sitting in for years, it's not gonna take much for things to spill over. I'm pretty sure they were about to make out on that bed if the real estate lady hadn't interrupted them. Stupid real estate lady.
THE KINSMEN

The engineers are being real jackasses this episode. Between acting a fool at Wai's job and being completely ready and willing to harass who they think is the girl across the hall into going out with Pat, I fully supported them getting their asses beat this week and the architects delivered. Everything has gone too far now though, that fight was pretty brutal and their destruction of the fake 'neutral zone' was total and complete. These boys are gonna get themselves not just kicked out but seriously hurt if somebody doesn't put a stop to this soon. Pat and Pran are trying to lower the temperature, both by keeping the gangs away from each other and by cooling the rhetoric but neither of them has really had that sorely needed 'cut it OUT' talk with their friends. Pat especially shoulda nipped that shit at the bar with Wai in the bud but he was laughing along. That's probably gonna come back and bite him.
THE HOUSES OF MONTAGUE AND CAPULET

Thou shalt not stir a foot to seek a foe.
Ouch, ouch ouch. A plague on both your houses. These people really hate each other, and their children are suffering because of it. Pat and Pran feel responsible for the pain their parents inflict any time they show even a tiny indication that they might not hate each other, but the only way to avoid it all is to exit each other's lives and it's becoming clear that they can't do that. Pran getting transferred really shook them both, they obviously missed each other. The best they can do is to stay at a safe distance; after all having each other at arm's length is better than not having each other at all. Pran and then Pat offering to move out, and then neither actually doing so is pretty much them deciding to say screw it, but very very carefully. There is still a line there, and while they are definitely dancing on it they're aware that it's there and they know the penalty for crossing it.

Paa really is Pat and Pran's only ally, and the only person who refuses to get pulled into the various feuds and conflicts. So far she is Pat's sounding board, but I really need to see her interact with Pran because Pat has her but Pran doesn't have anyone and he is HURTING.
The family feud is explained as between the two dads first, but Pran's mom and Pat's dad seem to be the ones most intensely involved and I hope the speculation about this all having something to do with them having a past together is not the direction this is going in. I feel like that would be unnecessarily complicated.
In the novel Pat is the flirt and the aggressor, but in the show things are much more even-handed and I like that. Pran is giving as good as he gets, probably even more so. They're both cocky and a bit cheeky and it's a good energy. I'm starting to understand how the bet happens.
I cannot say enough about Ohm and Nanon's acting and the chemistry they're able to generate, there are sparks flying everywhere!

Okay, so when the first trailer and announcement came out I was just looking at Ruby Rose and looking at how Kate Kane looks in the comics and was just like ... eh, she doesn't look like her.

I know it's not a big thing but considering this is the very first live-action depiction of this character I was hoping they would have done something to at least make me connect these two together. But the woman on the right doesn't look like Kate Kane to me. Then I heard about the new character/actress playing Kate Kate/Batwoman. Now since I haven't seen the show I am guessing that the new character is basically Batwoman II, someone taking up the mantle. If that's the case that's a reasonable way to go about it and I understand and welcome the representation the new actress brings. But deep down I am upset that the studio didn't just replace Ruby Rose with another actress to take over the role. This is a TV show with roles, roles that can played by other people and it's not like TV shows haven't done this before (we got two Darrens in Betwitched). If Batwoman had as many live-action depictions as Superman or Batman I wouldn't be as irked by how this show has been handled as I am. Batwoman is just starting to show up in film and TV and I was just hoping that the first TV show, HER TV show, would have worked harder to maintain some semblance of the style that this revamped, punk/goth Jewish lesbian came from.

Notes:TES Hypnokink SIG: Introduction to Hypnotic Bondage

IN PROGRESS: Rough Draft This is a description of the class given on July 23rd, 2014 for TES Hypnokink SIG. https://fetlife.com/events/268182 is the Fetlife Event for reference.
The class was intended to describe how hypnosis can be used for bondage purposes with relatively simple suggestions and inductions that are tuned more towards bondage than to relaxation.
The Demonstration
My partner and I started with a relatively extended demonstration to show multiple techniques and concepts in this. We had pre-negotiated the scene (and in fact had worked through it in practice) but I made sure we spent time at class discussing the negotiation in brief and also that we were still in sync. She was enthusiastic about it, and we discussed the fact that we would be conducting it for a class so that I would be louder and sometimes break focus. For most situations a partner should NOT be trying to project to the back of a room, nor should they be explaining what they are doing to others during a scene, but by identifying this ahead of time, it creates that sense that we agree on this as well.
I remind the class and my partner that she will be able to leave trance at any time for any reason if she feels the need to do so.
Connection Induction for Bondage
We started with the concept of a induction being used to create a sense of connection through touch, eye contact, and intense concentration. Once the connection begins to be palpable, a suggestion of a sensory experience is made, in this case of electricity. The idea of the circuit, the concept of flow of energy that is so strong that it forces connection and inspires a sort of partial paralysis taking advantage of natural catalepsy is pretty available to most people, and because the transformation of the feeling of touch into the feeling of electricity is somewhat logical. One can state that there is already electricity running between the hands and the brain so why not between two people. Most people feel little sparks or tingles at this point (if the hypnotist feels it too then it is even better).
By noticing the twitches and responding immediately by signalling that you felt them too, you continue to strengthen the bond, and also the sense that the suggestion is growing stronger. At this point you should notice changes in face and eyes, and breathing and it is worthwhile to point those out, which emphasizes and reinforces.
Once the subject is in trance, placing the hands on the lap (if seated) while pressing down and stating that the person is now closing the circuit themselves and that the hypnotist is just lending more energy to the circuit takes advantage of a natural tendency for someone to find that if they have their hands in their lap it tends to stay there. Once this suggestion has become strong, you can suggest that you can pose your partner and use typical things like raising the hand and having it firmly stay. If the partner drops immediately, you can use that as a statement that they no longer are in control of their hand, but you are not getting natural catalepsy so you may either work on getting that through deepening or changing the metaphor (transformation such as arm is now made of iron) based on the partner. If you don't feel like pursuing this, you can move to hypnotic glue. So if the attachment to a thing works but the person is not cataleptic then you can still have fun.
As my partner had a very strong cataleptic response, I felt that it was time to anchor that feeling to a phrase, and in this case that was the classic, Freeze and Melt.
Suggestion/Trigger: Freeze and Melt
Implanting this suggestion requires you to start by having the partner acknowledge that they are enjoying their experience, so offering to give a phrase/magic word that will create the experience and watching for response is a good start. For example: "Because you are so good at responding to the suggestion that your body will become completely still it might be fun to give you a trigger, a magic word, that will work to make you feel this again, so that whenever I say the word Freeze you will respond as you might imagine yourself responding and do you want me to give you that trigger?" Depending on the subject, the response could be verbal or might be a smile, but it is worthwhile to do your best to confirm that the person wants this to happen, so saying something like "And I see you like this idea" and usually the person will smile again or verbalize. Since the activity is negotiated, you aren't really looking for consent, but more for a sign that the person is now ready to go to the next step. By accepting the suggestion more actively you let the partner feel collaborative and invested. By suggesting that they are ready at that moment and getting them to acknowledge it, they get to recognize that they have succeeded already to some extent. Efforts that are done in stages allow for progress towards a goal having well defined experiences associated with each milestone.
At this point I repeat that freeze will be stronger each time as a phrase, and that it will create effects that I can't entirely predict but which is part of my partners sense of what it means to freeze, but that the end result will be that they will be left in a posable state, where only I can pose them. I reinforce that only I can trigger this and that it will not last beyond the class and that I will remove it eventually (I get a frown at this point which is obviously a lovely response).
During the Freeze implanting I reinforce that it is working by posing her. I am relatively forceful. This is important as it is a bondage scene and creating a greater sense that there is constraint and powerlessness is part of the theme.
Once Freeze works well I introduce melt, which creates immediate responses. Her melt is slower than some I have seen, not a fast transition but more like really melting. For example, her hand drops slowly. This is the difference between using something like release, where it might be an immediate change.
We go through a series of tests on this and then awaken her.
During question and answer I talk about how to measure this constraint. Because I can pose her I cannot test based on catalepsy, however I get a volunteer to test and she is pretty hard to move.
I then point out that I was stymied in testing her in some other ways as I often tickle but my partner was very opposed to tickling. The fact however that she would even let me get close to her armpit with my finger was a good test for us, however for the class I wanted to offer a number of ways to perform a convincing proof, so I placed chocolate in my partner's frozen hand. This aggravated her quite a bit as she was holding the chocolate but could not move.
I then ensured that her head itself was frozen, tilted her back and placed the chocolate on her nose.
I then fed her the chocolate, so I am not a complete asshole:)
Once she was melted, she immediately dove for the chocolate bars, and also when I attempted to get close to tickling her, she made a very clear effort to avoid it, including threatening bodily harm.
We demonstrated more fun with posing, and also of course freezing her in mid motion and melting.
Since we have a non-sexual relationship I did not layer any other sexual or physical pleasure on this but did discuss the possibilities with such things as freeze and melt allowing for suspension of pleasure response, and then buildup and release.
Fascination- Extreme Eye Fixation
With my partner out of trance I demonstrated what I call extreme eye fixation. In this I began by placing two fingers at about a foot away from her eyes and commanded her to focus on them. As I pointed out, during a post hypnotic session with triggers being still active, there is heightened suggestibility.
As she begins to follow my fingers, I begin to strengthen the suggestion that her eyes are attached in a way, like invisible strings. At this point I make the gesture of reeling in the strings and she gets within inches. At this point she follows my fingers anywhere I go.
Eventually I demonstrate how strongly this works by holding the back of her head by her hair and tugging my fingers away from her eyes as she essentially pulls her own hair will following.
We came up with this on Monday, during our pre demo session. It worked even better at class. It was a good example of showing how focus and concentration could be used metaphorically to bind someone.
The term fascination is based on the latin fascinum, which means bewitched. I have always thought of this in relation to the word fascia which involves bundles, and bonds. So this is a nice way to bridge those ideas of connection, betwitchment, charm, bondage.
Tension Induction-Nervous or sexual energy transformed into electricity
When I started playing with hypnosis in 2002, I ran into a person who stated he just never relaxed. He always tensed up when an induction started and he could not seem to go into trance because of it. At the time I was pretty new but I came up with an induction relatively similar to the one I taught in class, so this really goes back to some of my earliest improvisational inductions, when I moved away from scripts that I knew and started focusing more on creating interesting experiences based on the person I was playing with.
Because my partner tends to exhibit nervous energy through moving her legs (something I share) during our initial explorations prior to the class I was reminded of my earlier inductions based on tension.
One of the keys to hypnosis is teaching a person that they have control over things they don't usually consider inside their control. Many of the exciting aspects of hypnosis relies on this fact, that a person is surprised they can do something that they thought was beyond them.
There are lots of ways to teach someone that they are actively involved in their process, and one can go to some NLP modeling if it is useful but in this case I do a very simple thing.
First I suggest to my partner that the nervous energy and tension is something that we can increase, rather than decrease it. Almost anyone who is tense can accept a suggestion of feeling more tense, and in fact can actively tense their body. The act of tensing ones bodies creates a sort of stiffness, and muscular tension increasing is actually a little painful, which obviously creates more intensity. This might be done with stress positions as well.
At this point, as I see my partner respond, I let her imagine a dial. Since we had played before she knows that this is going in a certain direction, but for the purposes of the class, I identify one dial, from 1-10 and ask her what number tension she is at. This is useful for purposes of calibration, not so much for me but for her. In general, any effort to associate a value with a state is to really allow for 'more/less' comparison rather than exact numbers, but it also starts to evolve into an internal scale. If I raise it one by one each click starts to represent a specific increase. It might be logarithmic, or it might be more linear, but it is not my concern because...
There is another dial. So once 10 is reached, the appearance of the other dial suggests that their perception of 10 being the worst it can get is betrayed, and rather than going to 20,30,40... I jump from 10 to 110, 210... Etc... I also point out that the second dial has NO LIMIT. It can just keep going up. You can also have multiple dials, but this is not intended to be a very detailed control center.
As my partner starts to visibly struggle, and show some signs of suffering, I demonstrate how much stiffer she is than in the prior freeze/melt. In my practice of this prior to the class she was sitting on the edge of a bed and I was simply able to press her back and have her fall with her legs sticking up, then move her around roughly. I find the rougher the better, as it makes it clear that this is a strong effect. Gentle bondage doesn't really match the flavor of tension bondage trance (as it is intended to cause some distress).
At this point I note that there is also another part of the control panel, that there is a red button that is marked release, and at the point where it is beyond her ability to stand it she can press the release button, and she will release all the tension at once and drop into a deep trance.
At around 5000 she pressed the button. I was actually dropping the number just to show the class that you could, but to be honest, that was not necessary really for the purpose of this induction.
She dropped into trance quite fully, and it allowed us to set up for another trigger.
The important message here really is that the subconscious learns it can control level of tension. Whether the person owns this learning consciously and finds ways to use it themselves, it is a familiar model of hypnotherapy, in which one creates an experience and then removes it simply to show the subconscious that learning and unlearning habits or responses is part of what we can do.
Another concept here is the use of motivation to enhance suggestibility. Once my partner buys into the dials, there is going to be some point where she is going to reject this. It is important to offer something else worthwhile prior to that stage, to believe in. The red button encourages her to believe in this more because if she believes it will work then she now has a way to end the tension. If she doesn't believe in the red button, then her only way out is to abandon the scene. By giving her permission to control this herself, she is now fully invested in the power of the panel itself. It is a bit of a bind.
This sort of structure can be used for more sexual things. One can use sexual tension as the thing that gets ratchetted up, and the release is a sexual one. Or one can combine it. One can even have a slider that takes nervous tension, turns it to sexual tension, then a dial to control it, and a button to release it. And who gets to change these dials can be a part of the game (you can change if it is nervous or sexual, I can change the dial and press the release...)
In any case this is a basic induction based on tension and imagination, and hopefully a creative hypnotist can think of variations that make it better. Just make sure that whenever you make a change you see a change. If you don't, start to consider ways to use the controls that DO get response (Well it looks like the slider is stuck...).
Obviously a lot of possibility...
Glue
We didn't really discuss hypnotic glue except as a possible suggestion. I felt pressed for time and went directly to my favorite use for the concept of hypnotic glue rather than the basic version.
For reference, hypnotic glue is generally a suggestion that some trigger (STUCK/GLUE) will make the persons hand stick to what it is touching or what you are pointing at. This is similar to pose-ability but actually a bit less objectifying.
Enthusiastic Bondage Device
My subject has been in and out of trance. Her subconscious mind is pretty ready to take any suggestions. We have already explored the idea of connection, and control through that, but we now move into the concept of using the feeling of desire as a state to transform into a bondage experience.
Since Bondage has components of constraint (inability to move) and restraint (prevention from attaining a goal), I had come up with a basic command that allowed me to explore restraint without it being a case of feeling physically restrained. This was set up with a simple suggestion: "You really want to hold onto my hand"
In playing with this, I found that my partners would go to extraordinary lengths to hold my hand, and that it would cause me to have the problem of not having use of one of my hands, so I began to add a command "Let go" which rather than reducing the desire to hold the hand, would prevent the person from holding on to it. This would actually increase the desire, so that when I would let the person do it ("You can hold onto my hand") it would be rather strong. As I enjoy withholding this also let me tease the person by putting my hand in reach.
This leads to turning my partner into an "Enthusiastic Bondage Device." The suggestion is laid in deep trance so that it will be most effective but suggestions like this can be made even in post hypnotic suggestibility state.
What I do first is identify something a person desires, and that feeling of desire, and then focus on strengthening it. This state of desire is then applied to holding onto my hand. The firmness of the hand holding expresses the level of desire. The let go trigger is offered as well...
Then I demonstrate the struggle of having a woman not want to let go of my hand but then move to suggesting she now wants to hold onto another partner's ankles. Now it is clear that we can use one partner as a bondage device for the other. I then hypnotize the second partner to want to grab onto my hand, but I move away, so now she has to try to get to me. Meanwhile, I trance a third woman to want to hold onto...
You get the picture. In the end I had 4 people trying to restrain each other, with me being able to cause them to change what they want to hold onto and force them to let go at a whim. When one gets free, they are pursued but of course everyone is connected so it turns into a bit of riotousness. Lovely.
A big component here is to wrap things around pride, competiveness, desire, ability and so on. The more you suggest how good they will feel when they accomplish it the more this form of bondage works. You are basically using someones ego to tie them up (and some one else as well).
Simple Bondage with Release Trigger
I had intended to do this demonstration relatively early, as it is the absolutely best first hypnotic suggestion I know, but I tossed it together before we broke for the workshop. *
This requires a seated subject. The hypnotist asks the subject to place their feet flat on the chair (in my demo my partner's feet actually were a little short... I made her sit at the edge of her chair. This is actually helpful... I then ask which of her feet are more stuck to the floor. She identified the left. This technique works with most suggestible people, in that they will engage in trying to answer the question accurately. Part of doing this does require that establishment of compliance, in that if a person is not really interested in playing, they will say neither is stuck.
Once a person acknowledges that one foot is more stuck and one is less stuck, you can talk about laying their hand on their laps and maybe notice whether the hand on the stuck leg feels heavier than the not stuck one or if it is vice versa. What you are doing is making implied suggestions that one or the other must be heavier, or more stuck. You can describe the feeling of being stuck as if rooted to the floor or simply heavy, or just magnetic or whatever metaphor is fun for you.
Note that you do not make this a trigger. You are in fact doing this while the person is hypnotized or using it in a waking suggestion/waking trance sort of way, in which you are engaging in their creativity and their imagination in a very simple way. It is easy to feel this so most people will feel it pretty quickly and strongly. If it doesn't work, it is okay to try floating or some other effect or just to acknowledge that the person has a need to feel able to leave as they like so that the fact that they are staying in their seat shows they would like to be where they are.
The next step is to either use this as a trance induction (if they are more awake) or a deepener, to get them into a good state for providing a trigger (experienced subject can get told 'you will drop as deep as you need to be to make suggestions work extra well' and then you place the trigger to release the feet being sticky (I use the word release or footfree or footloose if I am feeling sillier than normal)
This is the easiest trigger/suggestion a person can have because rather than causing them to be restrained or effected, the only trigger they get is one that frees them from the effect. The only reason this is unwanted is that they might want to stay in the condition which certainly isn't the worst thing, but make sure you make this work, by letting the person know that even though they will be free, it doesn't mean you can't play more (principal of removing triggers is like taking toys from a child. You need to give them something in return even if in this case it is the offer for further fun...)
At this point you bring the person out of trance if necessary, and then you play a bit. One thing I like to ensure is that you make it clear that they know that if they needed to move their feet they could. This is usually a statement like "And you know that you could move your feet if you needed to, if there was an emergency, but you they don't seem to be moving now are they?"
In this case when I asked if my partner could move her feet if she really wanted to she asked me if I meant need or want, and when I said, well either, she said she could remove her shoes if she needed to. This is called rationalization and it means that her brain had decided that it was okay to be stuck as long as it was her shoes. The idea that she could just walk away didn't occur to her until I mentioned it... Rationalization is an amazing effect and shows the power of belief that can be played with in hypnosis.
At this point I say release, she immediately wiggled her feet, and lifted them and it was fine.
Giving a trigger that can't be abused at all is a really good start to giving triggers. Whereas triggers to 'do something' mean there is a certain amount of trust necessary, this 'create suggestion in trance, with release trigger' model builds a great opportunity to build rapport at low cost.
In essence, for the release to have effect (which they want) the suggestion prior to it has to have an effect.
Another way to use this is to set up a 'wake from trance' trigger without actually trancing someone. Then when you use the trigger I guarantee that more than half the people will express that they felt as if they did wake from trance. :)
Workshop
I intended this to be an introductory class, and from what I could tell during workshop, the material was relatively accessible. An hour of workshop time does seem to be enough for most people, but there are always folks who need extra time and attention as hypnotists and subjects. I think I will be more careful about identifying where I can help out a bit sooner.
My current method to do these is to break up into groups of 3-5 with experienced person in each group, so that mentorship can happen. This tends to work well but I do think I could have given more attention to some people. Still there was a lot of trance. Usually I float from group to group to make sure people are getting what they need, but in this case we had a lot of people hang out for workshop and I ended up with a group. Hopefully as we continue to grow the core group and get more people involved in mentorship this will work out better.
Still I think we did pretty well in total, with people doing more than just hypnotizing, using some of the ideas to make triggers and post hypnotic suggestions that were fun and hopefully a foundation for more exciting play.
One thing I wanted to mention was that during the workshop one of the subjects was in a state where she was posed. As I approached and pointed towards her armpit with more than a foot between us, she leapt up and flung herself into the corner. I didn't really intend to interfere and I was inappropriate in this. It is important to remember that you have to be very careful how you treat subjects especially when you are not part of the scene. I will give myself a break on this, as I was probably exhausted but it was a good reminder that even the safest players can have lapses. Please take my experience as a warning that even from a distance a person can respond intensely to stimulae *

May 30, 2020:
Today was a weird day.
I watched two men make history as they jettisoned into the atmosphere - the first Americans to fly a commercial spacecraft, earmarking a new era for space travel.
Watching that rocket lift off that Floridian launch pad moved me to tears.
I also witnessed Americans across the country grapple with an unthinkable loss of innocent life, making a different type of history, bearing with it the soul crushing reminder of the lack of compassion, empathy, understanding, and love we have yet to freely share with our fellow human beings.
Watching the city that I love, and the people that are woven so tightly into the fabric that makes it so betwitching, burn and smolder into the evening knocked me to tears.
My heart is so full, and yet so empty.
