Listening to the "Labyrinth Runner" OST, and I'm suddenly feeling robbed because we didn't get music for the other Coven Heads!
(Mostly, I'm really missing a soundtrack for the Construction Coven Head right now, but of course having one for the other's would be nice as well.)

Heads Up Seven Up
Tagged by @faytelumos um.*looks at smudged notes* a while ago. Find his post over here. Gently tagging uhhh @space-writes, @macabremoons and @scribbling-stardust, pulling from Beast book 2, Witch's Book:
It’s later in the night – when they’ve brought out the cake and sang ‘Happy Birthday’, and Zephyr has blown out all six candles (one of them larger-sized) – that Madge wanders out of the kitchen where mama and baba are divvying up the cake to track down Zephyr and Kas, who’ve somehow vanished in that short amount of time. The backyard feels quieter than before: peaceful, now, as if all the world is fast asleep. Madge inhales, again, the same way she did earlier with the cake, breathing in the scent of spring – stretching her arms out to the side, her fingertips straining, her head tipping back to look up at the sky. The longer she looks, the more stars seem to appear, spreading out and multiplying, thousands of tiny glittering diamonds spilling across the black. The breath she takes in morphs into a yawn.
Murmuring, from up on the roof. She spins towards the ladder leaning against the side of the house, and ah – they must be up there, then.

gonna have to delete this later due to the redacted horrors but moving out update. today and yesterday i toured apartments. the one i toured today was smaller yet more expensive and had lower ratings and is very far away from campus plus the actual tour itself was… a very distressing and disturbing experience and not just bc there were literally dead bugs in one of the units 🤢 but like the place just had bad vibes i guess. i don’t know why it was so awful for me but i had a terrible feeling in my gut the whole time and then was almost in a scary situation getting back to campus (totally unrelated to the tour / property lol) but it was ok and i made it back completely safe in the end im just still extremely like. triggered i guess and i can’t talk about it to anyone at home (bc they can’t know im trying to move out lol) which is making me want to cry. like my nervous system is disregulated as my therapist would say. in fight or flight mode. but anyway none of that is even important bc im not going to live there because you know where i think im going to live???? THE APARTMENT I TOURED YESTERDAY!!!!! it’s like 3-4 mins away from campus (not to mention literally RIGHTTTT next to a campus shuttle stop) and right down the street from a whole bunch of cute restaurants and stores etc etc including my former therapy place (lol) and my favorite restaurant near campus, the apartment is bigger, rent is lower, and the property is beautiful imo. the only problem is that the only 1br/1ba apartments are on the ground floor which in my mind means im more vulnerable to a) ppl trying to like break in or do whatever god forbid a million times b) bugs ☹️ but tbh id be willing to try to deal with that and see how it goes. it’s gotten consistently 4-5 star ratings from residents for the last year and it has in unit laundry too 🤯 im so nervous and excited. now i just have to work up the strength to actually like. move there and tell my family that’s what im doing when they don’t want me to move without being able to drive and they don’t want me to live alone. but omg im so excited i just want to make it official nowwww

I'm working on something big, aka finally gaining some confidence and un-vaulting a bit of OC lore. The good news is that their stories are all connected, so hopefully it's not too confusing.
Anyways, this will hopefully be posted Soon™

funny when, in inheritance, there’s a moment when saphira tries to help eragon by lending him her power, and he says she can’t help him because it’s “his mountain to climb”. she tries to argue but he replies with “besides, if i were flying, it would be on borrowed wings, and i would gain nothing by it other than the cheap thrill of an unearned victory”
i totally agree with the sentiment and i’d think it’s great of him to say so, if it wasn’t for the fact that that’s exactly what the blood oath celebration has done for him. i understand that, narratively speaking, the main reason for making eragon into an elf is because, otherwise, it would’ve been insanely hard for him to acquire the abilities necessary to defeat galbatorix, but i sitll think it’s a very cheap way of making him get the upper hand, or, if not that, a chance to win. i mean, in the end, paolini makes his own villain so impossible to defeat that he needs to fundamentally alter his main character in order to allow the story’s climax to take place.
and then the fact that having eragon say this now makes him into a bit of a hypocrite. like, he has such a problem with saphira helping him now, “because it just wouldn’t be an earned victory” but he didn’t seem to mind when the elves made him look like them and have their abilities, even though he obviously hadn’t worked to achieve them by himself in the first place. i’m the first one that finds the whole “eragon gets a few months of learning x and suddenly he’s really good at it” a bit annoying, but i’d rather have that than him being an elf for all intents and purposes.
