Every time I see a Friede x Amethio post, ten of my neurons die. I know these posts come from new fans who only watched the episodes released on Netflix (which goes up to 13 if I'm not mistaken), and he's only appeared in 6 episodes at this point (which is a crime against my mental health. What the hell is he doing in that time offscream? I WANT ANSWERS!!!) I remember in the first episodes of Horizontes, that Tumblr and AO3 were full of posts and fics about Friede x Amethio, and they disappeared over time as the episodes went on.
It's funny, because nowadays, almost a year after Horizons officially started, fans who watch the subtitled episodes are all worried about the mental health of this teenager and wondering why the heck they are in Exploradores, while the new fans are in the same boat as most of the old ones were and abandoned, shipping the poor guy with Friede.
I personally never shipped them because:
1: Amethio is, canonically, and confirmed by his original voice actor, a teenager (on bulbapedia it said he was between 13 and 19, but now they removed that part and only added the fact that he is a teenager, without mentioning a possible age) I headcanon him as 16, because, for me, it's the age that makes the most sense for his behavior and mannerisms, but that's just me. You can imagine him as 18 or 19 if that makes you feel more comfortable shipping him with Friede, but it doesn't change the fact that he's still a young and emotionally immature person, with no apparent emotional support base other than his Pokémon and his subordinates (Zir and Conia will get there someday, I know they will), while Friede is a fully grown adult, and clearly more mature than Amethio (there's even a line about it in episode 25). Friede had already been a Pokémon teacher for probably a reasonable amount of time when Liko was around 5 to 7 years old (we find out about this in episode 18), and honestly, Amethio doesn't look that much older than Liko. The clear age difference between them makes me uncomfortable. There are a lot of adults in the Horizons cast to be shipped with Friede, leave the traumatized teenager alone.
2: The way Friede, especially in the first arc, keeps teasing Amethio, even though he's clearly irritated and on edge, makes me want to punch him. I love Friede. But the way he interacts with Amethio, one minute he's having a good time taking care of Liko and Roy, and the next he's ready to annoy the shit out of a teenager make me so angry. I love this idea that Friede is a complete social disaster who doesn't really know how to pick up cues (scareing a deaf girl, for example, is definitely something he would do by accident 👀), but there's no way he can't see how negatively his actions and words affect Amethio. Amethio wants to prove himself. He wants to fulfill the mission ordered to him, and this idiot adult, in addition to getting in the way, bothers him every chance he gets (ep 5, ep 22 and ep 25 are the best examples). I'm amazed at how Friede either doesn't really realize the harm his actions cause to Amethio, or he does and simply decides to keep doing it.
This post may make it seem like I don't like Friede, which isn't true. I love Friede. I think he's a very funny character, but he also has a lot of flaws, and bullying a teenager is one of them.
I don't want to start fights about ships, because I'm not in Horizontes for the ships, but for the story and the characters. The only ship I really like is Friede with a certain Explorer who erased a child's memory (because for the love of god, they couldn't have made their battle in the last episode any less gay, could they) I don't want to offend anyone who ships Friede and Amethio, I just wanted to give my opinion on the matter and why I, with my interpretation of the story and characters, hate this ship. (Hate is a strong word, but I feel uncomfortable whenever I see this ship somewhere)
I'm really sorry if I offended anyone at any point in this post, I just don't like seeing a teenager and an adult being shiped.

Weird Question.
What does a good Limbus Company Tier List look like?
[Warning: Long]
Gacha games are, at least in part, games about optimizing limited resources. There is a daily stamina limit, and weeklies and dailies that you need to feed that stamina into. In turn, you receive an amount of rewards that need to be spent to acquire and upgrade units. Limited rewards. And you need so many just to upgrade one unit. Decisions need to made, resources allocated. You only have so much, you want to get and use the right stuff without wasting anything on someone you find out is trash 90 levels in. Right?
This is an aspect of Gacha that is often missed in discourse about pngs of anime waifus: the emotional and intellectual labor of investing into a unit, the constant worrying about if you are making the most optimal choices, and the satisfaction of planning well. How a lot of attachment to a character can stem not from their design or personality but just because they're all you had that countered this boss node and lord almighty they clutched out the win with 0.1% HP after you dumped all you had into raising them. I could talk about it all day, it' super interesting to me. But to refocus, the major consequence of this kind of game design are tier lists.
Tier lists will tell you, at a glance, what units are worth investing in and what's worth avoiding. Good tier lists will provide comprehensive explanations and guides for each unit to contextualize their placement. Bad tier lists won't. They can be the combined knowledge of an entire community for a game, they can also be an edict laid down without compassion or transparency. Again, absolutely interesting. And again, to refocus, Limbus doesn't really have one.
Ok, there are Limbus tier lists. Esgoo has great tier lists on which IDs and EGO you should prioritize when considering Uptie 4. Obviously those are his opinion, all Tier Lists are at the end of the day, but he has a whole hour of discussion covering the why's and hows of each category. There is a Prydwen tier list for units, but its rarely shown to new players in any of the PM communities I'm in and is instead largely chastised to my knowledge. I've seen Sinner tier lists, meme tier lists, so on and so forth. None of these are the Tier List.
Maybe its just a sign of the times, but I remember when Gachas had the Tier List. Community vetted, moderator approved, above any all all others. Offered freely to newcomers and watched feverishly by veterans after a new unit is released. Nowadays I feel like I rarely see them.
Limbus doesn't have the tier list. You may wonder if it even needs one and I think you'd have a point. Boiling an entire ID's value to a letter grade might seem unnecessary, especially as Limbus is a bit different as a Gacha. IDs are easy to get, and though the level cap continues to raise (in a way many others find alarming and I'm inclined to agree) it's still less than a week's effort to max one out. I've played games where it took a month of currency to get a single Unit useable. THere just isn't as much drive to worry about leveling the wrong things, investing incorrectly because basically anything works.
However.
There still are obvious differences in the strengths of each character ID. True, most if not all are "useable", but you're probably better off leveling Pequod Yi Sang than Seven Yi Sang. You are definitely better off leveling Pequod Ishmael than Sloshing Ishmael. Its fair to want a quick cheat sheet to communicate those ideas at a glance, with explanations for those who want to delve a little deeper.
But I ask again, what would it even look like?
By what categories and traits do we subdivide these IDs? How can you convey that W Ryoshu is a self sufficient DPS monster tahat requires no synergy to be good while Maid Ryoshu has AoE built into her kit as well as strong poise gen that also does good damage at a glance? Put one in an AoE group and the other in DPS? Is that truly accurate when part of attack weight is that it's great against Abnormalities, the most common type of one-on-one encounter?
I ask the question "what would it look like" because I truly don't know. Limbus is a complicated, evolving game. I don't think that makes it special or standout in any particular way, but for an example it could be that Seven IDs are top tier next event because of temporary buffs and that throws a whole tier list on its head. I don't know of many Gacha that do stuff like that.
That's kinda the end of the thought. The best I can come up with is a list consisting of three tiers: "great, good with the right team comp, and don't. Further explanation available upon request." That's not very helpful, is it?

Fair Warning: This post is very rambly. Super fucking long. And has a bunch of paragraphs about topics that to be quite frank deserve their own post. This is me TLDRing like 7 different essays because I have a lot to say and can't shut the fuck up but this is despite it all still a tumblr post.
The fact that SSO exists at all in the year 2023 is not an achievement in and of itself.
That's the TLDR to this post I'm about to write because that's basically what I think, but there is a longer discussion to have here. And I think it's a discussion worth having because despite it all we still live in a world where gender makes people irrationally fucking mad, and so therefore here I am to talk shit about a horse game which I have called mediocre all day.
Well, if you don't want to read this entire thing, here's all you need to know:
If Animal Crossing in the year of 2020 can define the first year of the pandemic for basically half the internet, then SSE can optimise their game a little better in the year 2023.
And here's wonderwall: (But before wonderwall, obvious disclaimer that I'm just one cis not-het woman Swede who has opinions about things, I'm not going to solve centuries of oppression on my fucking tumblr dashboard. Neither are SSE gonna solve it, nor immortalise it, with their mediocre MMO, we all know this we are smart, let's go.)
To SSO's credit, I think it's nice that SSE has wholly embraced the fact that they are a very feminine game primarily played by and targeted towards young girls, despite it all we still need more of that, and it's cool that they're trying the most. (Just wish they wouldn't completely throw their especially above average transmasc audience under the bus for this but that is genuinely not my post to make as I am not transmasc and this post isn't about that, but all I'm saying is that SSE aren't flawless and I was here for both 2011 and 2022 so I happen to know when they literally lie about why this game was created in the first place.)
However,
There is a difference between "We want to bring quality to this audience which usually doesn't get quality" and "Because we're the only ones targeting this audience we don't need to worry about quality". Settling for the latter, especially today, isn't actually that progressive nor is it helping anyone, especially if we're talking about the game's general quality.
So, I know that talking about like, what is a "good" game or whatever will always be a wall to wall conversation, because everyone has different ideas of what good means. (see: Some people going "I enjoy this so it's good" and some going "I enjoy this but it Isn't good" at Dorian's poll) This isn't a problem at all it's simply how the human experience works. However, if we're talking about the good as in "objective" quality, then I think we need to remember something.
It's not 2011 anymore, and being a girls game, standalone, isn't an achievement anymore. We expect some fucking effort by now.
We don't live in a world where you as an 8 year old kid have to pick between playing COD or playing SSO exclusively (a choice made in 2011 by me as an 8 year old for reference, I literally was there, don't worry). We have a lot wider a selection of games to choose from, and we live in an industry which has also gotten a Lot better at actually celebrating less traditionally masculine games.
For example, Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley, to name two examples, would probably be pretty dismissed in 2011, had they released then, because they're games that in general are seen as more feminine. (Slower, cute aesthetics, about farming, has cute little guys in them in AC's case.) But nowadays, they're some of the most popular games around, and they're games that most people, regardless of gender, have played. And obviously people still make fun of them, but it isn't cool to make fun of them anymore. Y'all remember when everyone and their mother was playing New Horizons as it came out during the perfect time for everyone to play it just as the pandemic started? And that's a really feminine game if we want to divide games into feminine and masculine, which we at the end of the day will do because humans are obsessed with binary opposition. And it still defined a whole year for a whole bunch of people!
And obviously you might say that it's unfair to compare little ol' SSO to these games. And it is. If we're comparing them as games on a technical equal ground. But we're not. I'm exemplifying that games that are more feminine/played by a lot of women don't have to suck.
So by, conciously or subconciously, implying that SSO Can't be as good as other games or Shouldn't Be Expected To Be simply because women's games just Are worse, you're dismissing the fact that feminine games Do succeed, especially recently. Not only on the market, but as entertainment. And no matter what game you make, no matter what damn resources you have, you better make sure that your audience can fucking play it with the specs you yourself recommend. Because letting a company get away with settling for mediocrity further normalises girls' games not needing to be as good because they're already so shit that someone even trying is good enough. Which in 2023, is Not good enough. Even young girls deserve not to shill out tens of thousands, which they Do Not Have, for super PCs just because SSE forgot to optimise their open world game.
Lastly, all I'm saying is that if we're going to say "Yes, SSO is good." Don't follow it up with "Compared to women's games from 2005 that are so dead nobody remembers them anymore." Because SSO is a game that exists in 2023, and at some point we have to acknowledge that. And if this game wants to survive another decade, I think the first people who need to move away from 2011, is its audience.
Women’s games don’t have to suck. And implying that they do says more about you than it does about the game. Especially if your idea of “good standard” for women’s games. are almost 20 years old. At some point, we All have to move into the present times. Even if your game of choice is a little behind.

I just saw something about poly and Milo-Mal-MC?? I dont know if this is gonna be true or not, but I really hope you can have the option because, I really, really think this can be a very sweet relationship, and very necessary (at least for Milo, poor guy need a lot of attention and love), now I really excited about reading it, but other part of me are a bit afraid, making romance relationship is (in my opinion) very difficult, because you can fall very easily in stereotypes and toxic cliches, and in my opinion poly relationships are even harder because you need to pay attention to 6 bounds at the same time (Milo-Mal/Milo-MC/MC-Mal and vice versa) and unfortunately open or poly relationships still have a stigma nowadays, that means, that means that they are still not very well known and for that everyone (obviously me include) can fail in a not very realistic way
Now, with this im not trying to say you will have this problem (I mean, I dont even know if this would or would not be an option in the first place lol) on the contrary, (if happen) I have high hopes for you (not in the pressure kind, lol the bad thing about English not been your mother tongue is you can express yourself in a form you want it without looking like a robot or a scum) because I really love your story and way of writing and I really really think we all need more poly (well writing) stories.
But if I can jus say one tiny thing… as an advice you don't have to follow, there are a LOT of stereotypes and weird forms a lot of people fall when they write poly, one of them is putting the MC like the absolute pilar of the relationship, instead of a threesome (I prefer the word in Spanish "trieja" I dont know if there is a word better suited for relationships of three people in English), create relationships that are in a between poly and open relationships, I dont know if im explaining myself well enough, I think what im trying to say is, its not the same to be in a trieja relationship that a open relationship, I (personally) are okey with both of them, but if, for example, this couple was created because Milo and Mal have a super sweet badass relationship more that because there can be a very good bounce between everyone, I really, really prefer to put the "tag" open relationship having Milo two separate romances than one "poly" and in that way it could also be less weird(?) for people who are not used to polyamorous relationships, although I guess jealousy will always be there for those people :( but its true than, if this will happen, you should put a lot of options about possibles reaction MC could do or even (unfortunately) finish the relation (I really think a person can love more than one person, for that reason we can fall in love so many times lol, but I can understand that not everyone need to feel in the same way)
Im so sorry for all this text nobody ask for, I even dont know if this relation could even be real, but I wanted to express my opinion, I really courage you (if you really wanted) to try and explore this kind of love because I really think you can do something magical, but at the end is something you need to think yourself, if you will do it, there will be people who will not like it, if you will not do it, there will be people who will not like it (although probably much less) so do whatever you want xD

Never worry about long asks. I really love reading the different perspectives people have on how a route could go. It also helps me navigate certain moments that I may not have thought of yet.
I have not made a ton of decisions about how the poly is going to look. It's not something I've had to worry about yet because I'm not writing book 2 for a few more months. But, I can say that I think a lot of how the poly is presented, might depend on the reader. I know how I will head cannon it and gear the writing towards, but choices might actually affect how it is read. I tend to try and give decisions on who you spend time with in the game and I will be doing something similar during the poly routes. I don't believe if you are in a poly or an open relationship or if you have an understanding with another, you have to spend all your time with those other two people. I'll be giving the option for solo moments along with poly, if that is the chosen route.
As for Milo, Mal, and the MC. In reality, these three are heavy hitters. All the RO's are really. But they are heavy hitters in a way that's a bit different. I do not think their ideas and how they handle situations always align. I think they are very independent people (the route MC will start to take) and they are not very dependent on the three of them constantly being attached. They can value each others opinion and still take their own course. So, I think this will be an opportunity to negotiate something between three adults who still wish to have their own agency outside of their relationship.
I do think there will be genuine affection to see each other in the evening. I can tell you past the initial negotiations, I'm not going to put the jealousy routes between them because I'm personally kind of done with reading the rhetoric that full grown adults can't seem to work things out with each other when in a relationship. LOL! I think that there is a lot of opportunity for this to be something very deep and interesting to read. It's just a matter of convincing people it's worth their time. Which, that seems to be the harder sell. Either way though, I enjoy characters more than anything else. I enjoy deep diving into them. Putting them in situations that challenge normal beliefs (in our world or the NM) . And then sitting back and seeing what happens. I think this will be no different.

Aight here's a norayemma ask.. How/when did they realize how they felt towards each other, and how did they confess?

it is my personal opinion that Ray has- more or less- always known about his feelings towards the other two. even if he didnt know they were romantic per say, he's always known that they were different.
i tend to be all over the place with the confession thing. no matter what i can't ever see ray confessing first due to guilt or self hatred or not wanting to make them feel like they Had to accept him or whatever.
i think norman has always known that he's loved emma. with the pretty stringent gender roles at grace field, it's easy to imagine that similar sentiments surrounding straight culture we see nowadays would be present there- if only much more minorly. so it makes sense to me to think that, based on what he's read and learned from his older siblings, he would have always presumed/known his love from emma was romantic. while i do think he has loved ray for around just as long, i dont think he'd realize until post lambda that his feelings were romantic. i think his feelings for emma and her just. overwhelming brightness would have kind of blinded norman to ray if that makes sense? since ray knew the secret, he always kept to himself so, while they were all still friends of course, it would make more sense that norman wouldn't realize just how attached he was to ray, especially considering there was no type of. almost desperate trauma bond sort of attachment like ray had for them since norman lived in ignorance the whole time pre cannon. so ray was just his quiet distant friend. i think being away from ray and emma would show norman how his feelings were similar because he would miss them in the same way. again, it was different at grace field because he overwhelmingly lived in ignorance there, but once there was more pressure and fear and just. generally stronger feelings. norman would realize a lot faster that he loved them both the same way. this comic by vinokurin_purin on instagram sums it up pretty well lol.
emma is a bit harder for me for whatever reason, while i do tend to think they wouldnt ever "officially" get together, in cases where they do, it would never be pre human world, so i always tend not to worry about emma much since she would have to start over basically😭 it's very common for people to write her not realizing her feelings for the boys were romantic for a very long time (whether or not she realizes post canon) because she just loves her family that much so i tend to lean towards that because i'm used to it lmao. so i tend to see her only realizing her feelings for the boys either like- when one of them confesses, or when someone else in her family points out that it's not normal to think/do x thing about/with them iykwim? i reallyyyy enjoy writing her re-getting to know them and falling in love with them all over again post canon so. do with that what you will.

Unplanned Consequences (Part 1: Deceit) [Sometimes Labels Shift Series]

Summary: Deceit gets a message that Bluebird is missing.
Notes: This takes place after Best Laid Plans
Deceit had long been aware there were two individuals on the other side of the emergency line Bluebird and Deceit had set up years ago. It was blatantly obvious there was someone other than Bluebird sometimes answering the texts Deceit sent, and he could easily pin who was who when messaging them.
The more serious one always had perfect grammar and their messages were often shorter. The sender was oftentimes curt with Deceit in the same way Bluebird in person was and never said thank you. That one was easy to identify as the superhero Deceit knew.
The second one was more mysterious even while being more open and casual in tests. Even if Deceit didn’t have the evidence of messages sometimes coming through even when Bluebird was otherwise occupied, he would have been able to tell it was someone else just from the vernacular. Their messages were very different than Bluebird’s.
They were still well-educated judging by their vocabulary, but they tended to use text speech more often when messages were casual and to drop punctuation altogether when they were urgent.
Their messages were more long-winded, and they often said thank you at the end of each chain of messages. They’d often send a thumbs up to acknowledge they saw a message from Deceit even when that message did not necessitate a response. Generally, they just seemed to like Deceit more than Bluebird did, or at least they were more polite.
Deceit had no idea who this second person was who sometimes messaged him. As far as the public knew, Bluebird had always worked alone. Yet, Deceit knew this person had always been there in the shadows since before texting was even a thing. It had been a lot less obvious with the pagers they’d had before, but still there had clearly been two people on the other end.
Deceit sometimes wondered who this other person was. He would never ask.
Tonight, the text message seemed to be from the second, unknown participant in Bluebird’s escapades judging by the lack of proper punctuation. Well, that and the contents of the message.
“Bluebird has been missing for hours and I cant get ahold of him”
That text had come a couple of hours ago and the various updates through the night had been no less worrying.
Deceit and Bluebird did not get along. They’d had a lot of disagreements about the best way to handle crime in the city. These differences in opinion are what classified Bluebird as a hero and marked Deceit as a vigilante, but despite these disagreements, both Deceit and Bluebird acknowledged that the other served a role in the city. They had always been allies even when they didn’t get along.
Bluebird had only gone missing once before. It had been before he and Deceit had a mode of communication open, so Deceit had no idea if the second messenger had been around then. Yet, even that time, everyone in the city had known why Bluebird had been missing. He’d been shot by a memory wiping gun fashioned off a mind-warper’s powers. Somehow, he’d managed to get his memories back and had returned to the superhero scene a week later.
Even back then, the city had held its breath with Bluebird missing. He’d been a much newer hero then, dependable and just, but the city had still been used to the normal pattern of superheroes coming and going at the time.
This time… this time Deceit didn’t know if the city could survive the superhero vacuum if he did not return.
Deceit knew he could not be a Bluebird.
He honestly wasn’t sure anyone could.
And so, Deceit spent his night searching for any breadcrumbs the hero left behind.

The news of strange happenings at a factory halfway across the city came to Deceit first. He was plugged into police communications in ways that were nowadays more legal for him than he’d like to admit. So, he heard about it as soon as someone reported the issue.
Memory wipes. Pretty much everyone in that area of the city.
He immediately began heading to investigate that part of town. (The police would unfortunately likely allow him past the barricades without Deceit needing to use his powers.)
He got a text message before he managed to get to the factory.
“Bluebird is safe,” was all the message read.
Deceit paused.
He knew a good amount more about mental powers than most. He probably knew more about mind warpers than anyone else.
He recalled his thoughts about the last time Bluebird had been missing years ago. He’d wondered how Bluebird had managed to regain his memoires when Janus’s own mother had spent the rest of her life with a Swiss cheese brain, and she had been the luckiest of those under Blight’s control.
“Was the factory him?” Deceit messaged back.
There was no reply.

🔥 about anything vocaloid/vocal synths!
I may have a couple, I'll just list some of the ones I can think of rn (lmao Utsu-P started playing on shuffle as soon as I started writing this)
I don't think the goal of vocal synths should be to try to sound as realistic as possible. That can be a part of it, sure, but like, you can have so much fun with vocal synths precisely because they're not real human voices and they have been synthesized by computers, so many different sounds and stuff you can't accomplish with real human singers. I actually really like it when the computers sound like computers
I see a lot of complaining about how all vocaloid MVs these days are just a drawing of a character/the vocal synth doing a funny pose and having the lyrics appear on screen, and while I also have my gripes with how often these types of MVs are used... I started thinking about it and it's just blatantly untrue that all vsynth MVs are like this nowadays? Mitchie M has never done this for example (if he has I'm unaware of it like I'm genuinely trying to recall a time he did this and I can't recall any), Deco*27 this year alone released at least 3 songs with either fully animated videos or multiple drawings that tell a story, Slave.V-V-R has his somewhat more recent songs with Miku like Eeeeye which use MMD, and those are just the ones I can think of off the top of my head, like there's still a bunch of more animated MVs for vocal synths and yet people don't talk much about them
Another thing people say about the "character doing a pose" MV is that it's more prominent now (I've even seen some people blame specific producers for this like Chinozo), and like, I get it, but at the same time, many of the classics of the vocaloid scene also used this formula. Romeo and Cinderella, Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder, World Is Mine, Luka Luka Night Fever, just to name a few, all used the "funky pose" formula, and many producers, like kiichi, have only ever done this type of MV (again, as far as I'm aware. Maybe kiichi does have animated MVs, but some of his more popular songs such as Love Love Nightmare and Virgo don't)
I think we just tend to remember it less? I don't know why that may be but I have some theories, like a lot of songs back then used to get fan MVs (eg Rolling Girl, World is Mine, Melt, etc), or just the way we listened to those songs was different, like when I was younger I used to listen to the songs by watching the Project Diva PVs and stuff, and now when I listen to songs I always try to actually link back to official uploads by the producers, which will inevitably not look the same
This one is an even vaguer theory, but it could also have to do with how often songs are released now? Like for example, Utsu-P releases new songs semi-frequently, so I feel like I can't fault him for not having fully animated MVs for every song (that and the fact that he has like five other music projects to worry about at the same time lmao), or Deco*27 and Inabakumori who I'd say release new songs with about the same frequency, it's like, idk maybe they don't have the time or resources to invest into more engaging MVs
I guess my TL;DR for my second unpopular opinion would be: yes, it's a bit annoying that so many vsynth MVs consist of "drawing of character doing funky pose", but like, we still get many animated MVs as well, and also this isn't something new it's always been present in the scene, so you can chill a bit

Getting yourself to write
I am sure, most writers know this issue. They have an awesome idea, they really want to write it out and yet, they don’t. This could be due to several factors, such as a lack of time, lack of motivation or just insecurity. Of course, if you want to become a writer, you have to be able, to at least to start your story.
How do you do that?
No need to worry, because in this post, I’ll give you a few tips, as to how you can actually start writing on your story.
Keep in mind, the following points are based off my personal experience. If you don’t agree with my tips, then that’s fine. It doesn’t have to work for everyone.
In any case, let’s begin!
1. The First Step
When you want to write a story, you may have heard the advice that you should plan your story out fully, in order to give it a great structure and don’t confuse the reader, before actually beginning to write.
While it’s true that planning is an essential part of writing stories, you shouldn’t spend your time solely on planning. The more you do that, the more you forget about the actual work. Once you’re done planning, you may feel unmotivated to actually begin to write. I am speaking from experience here. There was a story project once that I spent a lot of time on, but only for the planning part. When it was time to write the actual story though, I gave up quickly. My motivation just vanished, as if it was never there to begin with. Nowadays, I have a way to avoid this issue.
One trick that I’ve always used when writing longer stories, is to take the first step. By that I mean that you’ll write a small part of the story, with no planning at all. Just write down, what comes to your mind. For example, you could write how the protagonist lives and where he lives. That’s enough for the beginning, really.
That way, you’ll If you do that, you’ll not only get more ideas for how the story will go on, but you’ll be less likely, to just abandon the story out of laziness. Believe me, it works like a charm! Of course, that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t plan your story out at all. But sometimes, you have to take the first step, in order to reach your goal.
2. Write every day
Coupled with the last point, by writing every day, you’ll build up more of a routine for your writing. We’re creatures of habit and like to stick to a certain familiar schedule, like waking up at 6 AM, getting dressed, going to work and so on. If you build in writing into your schedule, then you’ll be able to write much better, and it will be less of a pain to do so. It will simply feel natural to you, like breathing, watching Netflix or whatnot.
I can’t recommend this trick enough! In my opinion, this makes the difference between a casual and a great writer! More on that in a separate post.
3. Set yourself goals
I am certain everyone has some favorite parts of their story like, the hero fighting against the main villain or the reveal that the victim of the first case, was actually the mastermind, behind all the other cases. How often do you play such scenarios in your head? I sure do a lot.
So how about you start your story, so that you can actually write out those amazing scenes that you planned? By beginning the story, you’ll set the groundwork and if you keep writing and writing, then you will eventually reach your favorite scene and can write it out, in all of its glory and beauty.
If you stay patient, you get to enjoy the cake. But before that, you have to follow the recipe. Otherwise, you’ll never be able to eat the cake.

Dear Thoughts On This,
So let me preface this post by saying, if you're shopping for opinions, Stormblessed95 has been part of this fandom for more than a hot minute and has damned near encyclopedic knowledge of BTS... I am just a toddler Army who has seen maaaaaybe half the official contents. So please always invest more in what Storm says, okay? She's an excellent gauge.
That being said, I did have a different perspective on this. Honestly, what I saw of this photoshoot had me concerned for Jimin. I'm used to bubbly, giggly, playful, upbeat (or at least excited and engaged) Jimin. And what I saw here was a consummate professional who did exactly what was asked of him, but was maybe not really enjoying himself.
Compare his energy in this video to, say, Tae's or Hobi's. (Footage starts at about 3:12 minutes in.) He didn't smile much, he barely looked at JK, he didn't crack any jokes or strike up any conversations in the behind-the-scenes footage that we've been shown, no dancing, no wiggles, no silly faces or experimental poses. He was there to get the job done and that was it. When his members asked him about his outfit, his voice was very quiet when he gave his reply. To my mind, his whole vibe was just "muted" for lack of a better word.

Now, there could be a lot of reasons for this that don't spell trouble.
Perhaps the whole concept of the shoot was going for a "hard" or "cold" look and he was trying to stay in character.
May he was really busy, or tired, or not feeling great that day, and just needed to conserve his energy.
Maybe he wasn't thrilled about the look and feel of the family portrait concept but he always does his best.
Maybe this was shot during the whole insurance - apartment - OST drama and he was just stressed and / or less than pleased with life in general.
To me, compared to how he normally acts, he just seemed... a bit upset. Not with his members or JK (in fact, he seemed totally fine when JK touched him and pulled him closer, and at one point, he seemed to reach out to hug JK instinctively before he realized he was supposed to face the other direction). So, like, I didn't sense he had any beef with anyone, not at all.
But I'm thinking about the sweet, shy, smiley, happy and open Jimin during this workshop Vlog... or the loud, giddy, touchy-feely, jumping around Jimin during the post-Comeback Vlive... and this family portrait festa photoshoot Jimin is a different flavor (to me). It didn't leave a great taste in my mouth, that's for sure.
Doesn't mean there was trouble in paradise or anything super deep was going on. But it definitely had me baffled, and if I had started to see too much more of that going forward, I would have been really worried for Jimin.
Thankfully Jimin nowadays seems perfectly fine; he's crazy busy on his album and all, but when we do glimpse him out of the studio, he seems to be enjoying himself and looking bright eyed and bushy tailed, which makes me happy.
So I chalk this incident up to Jimin being less "on" than I expected, but it wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. And plus some of the photos look super awesome (even if the fashion choices aren't my style). I mean, they got some really great shots. So all good!

7. who is your least favorite character?
i don't hate anyone ! i mean this with my whole heart. even with like dori she's just kind of a (rolls eyes) character for me. i also kinda grew to tolerate eula at some point even though she's still a (rolls eyes) too. i used to mildly dislike miko but she's ok now, and baizhu who is more of a bwehh type for personal reasons. but again i think everyone is fine and very lovely i love teyvat >w<
20. who is the most useful character in your opinion?
there's zhongli, still the best shielder since 1.1, great for everything, can fit into most teams, if you have him you won't have to worry about taking damage especially if you're bad at dodging. if not zhongli then you should at least pick another shielder to build, like diona is great especially with cryo dpses.
some of the higher investment 4*s like bennett, xingqiu, xiangling, fischl - everyone else has their own kind of niche but you can never go wrong with raising these four, at least bennett if no one else. he's a double healer and buffer which will do you well especially in endgame content. xingqiu as an off-field hydro applicator who deals a lot of damage when built well (yelan is better in this role but i believe c6 xingqiu can definitely compare to her). xiangling is actually a beast as one of the standing burst pyro dpses who works in the national comp with bennett and xingqiu. and then fischl as a well-rounded off field electro dps and battery to pair with your hydro or dendro dpses !
speaking of dendro nahida is just really great, and i believe shinobu has also become a top pick as electro support in dendro teams since she heals, but probably otherwise fischl is better since fischl can deal significant damage. funnily enough with the introduction of dendro, it seems like most people have been using raiden shogun less as a hypercarry and more as an electro enabler in dendro teams, but i remember raiden national being a really good comp too.
there's also the category of anemo ccs like sucrose, kazuha, venti - i don't think venti is very good nowadays but kazuha is definitely up there being one of the best and sucrose is basically budget kazuha.
for main dpses it's extremely volatile, like in my time the top 3 were ayaka, hu tao, and ganyu, but i think ganyu has fallen off. hu tao and ayaka are still great though in pyro and cryo respectively, and according to my qpp neuvillette is the number 1 dps right now especially with fontaine rolling out a new hydro meta. navia is also very good in terms of pure damage but she's like way different from her geo friends. and thenn i believe for dendro the top pick is alhaitham. i'm not saying that out of bias at all i'm pretty sure he is HSJDHS. electro and anemo are a bit obsolete at this moment in terms of dps since electro is mostly used to pair for dendro and anemo just can't beat the support element allegations. xiao fell off a long time ago and apparently wanderer wasn't very good either. but i do think these two have a fun playstyle and as long as you have fun yknow!
23. bow, sword, polearm, claymore or catalyst?
my favorite is polearm followed by sword! i looove spamming fast attacks. my favorites have always been those like zhongli, rosaria, xiao, thoma, cyno, and then sword of course being aya - i also enjoy bow but i kind of have skill issue with them... i think because i play tighnari a lot on my qpp's account and he does have a fun playstyle to me !

Alex is one of the most gorgeous and mesmerizing people I've ever seen and I'm honestly shocked with his glow down, specially in the past year. His features are less defined, there are even a few wrinkles, his eyes are dark and tired, and he looks drained.
I wonder (and would like to know the fandom's view on this) if it's a shared opinion and, regarding the causes, if it's really due to aging (since the peak of his beauty in my opinion was in 2018, when he was 25 or so, and he's about to turn 30 this year, which is still so young), or if there really has been some change in his lifestyle (since he's always worked out a lot and has taken good care of his appearance) or mental health issues that have led him to lose that glow he used to have. So sad.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this, anon! 😊 Personally, I agree that he’s still very young, even though due to a combination of genetics and lifestyle, some people will age faster than others. Although, in my opinion, Alex is aging normally and he looks his age. But I also agree that he looked his best around 2017/2018 — he had long hair, which really suits him (in my opinion) and seemed to put more effort into how he dressed. His face was also slimmer, which accentuated his features. Now it’s a little fuller, which might be a normal consequence of aging, but I do think he still looks very handsome.
I also agree that if we compare pictures from a year ago with more recent ones, we can see a change in his expression. He seems to smile less (genuine smiles, not the ones he does for fan pictures, for example) and he does look somewhat tired. But we also need to keep in mind that those pictures we see are just glimpses into his everyday life. So maybe he had been worrying about something and didn’t sleep well that day? Maybe he wasn’t feeling well, physically or mentally/emotionally? Or maybe it has been a more permanent state and, like you mentioned, some changes in his lifestyle caused this. We can only speculate at this point. 🤷♀️
Something I think is also worth mentioning, is that when we are “infatuated” with someone, we tend to see them in a very positive light, as if they’re flawless or ideal. When that wears off, or if we become “disenchanted” with them, we might see them in a very different light. Thus, we might realise that someone we once saw as beautiful and perfect, might not be all that. (Like when we get over a crush and think “He/She wasn’t even that cute!” 😆) So I think this could also play a part in how some fans view Alex nowadays, in combination with the aforementioned factors.
This is just my opinion, of course, and if anyone would like to elaborate more on this subject, please feel free to share your thoughts as well! 😊

It's so hard to be a parent in the new century, and it's so good to be a parent in the new century.

One of my girlfriends and her son in middle school were having a pretty bad relationship and asked me to mediate. One day, I went to her house and met her son alone. The older boy, who had attended a summer camp I organized when he was in elementary school, was warm to me and happy to talk to me.
"My mom was polite to everyone else, but she always threw a fit with me. Every day as soon as my mom came back from work and I opened the door, as soon as I saw her face drawn, I immediately ran back to my room and shut the door tight to save myself from being scolded." The son cited several examples.
"Your mother is not easy, she is a leader in the unit, worry about a lot of things, she comes home and has to cook, take care of you, tired enough, love tantrums may be to menopause ......"
"Menopause?" Not waiting for me to finish speaking, the boy could not wait to take over the conversation, "Since I went to school, my mother's temper is so bad, how is menopause so long? You can give me a countdown, when will the menopause end? I also have something to look forward to!"
I couldn't help but laugh.
I sympathize with the boy, afterwards I said to his mother, we can not blame the child does not understand us, we should also change to change themselves, although it is not easy to change themselves. Usually, we care a lot about the material requirements of our children, focusing on the care of their lives, but neglecting the inner emotional world of our children, especially neglecting the positioning of our own image in the minds of our children.
When my girlfriend heard my son's opinion of her, she said, "It's so hard to be a parent nowadays, where we were so much when we were kids!" But she still promised to change her attitude toward her children.
From another point of view, it's so good to be a parent in the new century.
Children are close to modernity. Having a child at home who goes to school brings in modernity from time to time and keeps us up to date.
Times are changing, today is different from yesterday, and tomorrow is different from today. Especially when new terms and concepts like digitalization, networking, and globalization break into our lives, we can feel every day the great changes that the development of science and technology has brought to human life. These changes include not only the constant renewal of many products we use, with shorter and shorter life cycles, but also the knowledge and skills we have learned, which depreciate faster and faster with the socio-political and economic changes. The model of teaching children that our grandparents have inherited for generations is becoming less and less adapted to today's children. Especially when we enter the information age, our lifestyles will change unexpectedly. At that time, we may carry only one card on us and we can travel all over the world. People will increasingly feel the importance of learning new knowledge and skills, and without the ability to learn, it will be difficult to move forward.

Wanted to ask 2 things if thats okay :]] One, what happened to the discord? soso sorry for asking this if it's already been answered, I was late coming to this blog :,D. Two, do all of the Henrys have the same opinion on pizza or do some have different tastes-?
The Discord was evolved, in a way. Nowadays, it’s a lot less of a just a Discord for the EtC community, and more of a Discord for my group of internet friends 😅 That’s why I’m so strict about who gets let in and when, everyone who joined way back in the day and throughout this year have become family to me. I want our little space to be a safe haven for our members, so I’ve been very reluctant to open invites again. I’m the only gatekeeper, so if a bad egg gets through and we suddenly have arguments and unneeded stress, it’s my fault for letting that person in. New people can be very overwhelming, for me included, so invites have just stayed closed 😅 When they do open again, though, there will be a post about it, don’t worry—-
As for the second question, all of those Henry’s are the same person, just at a different point in Henry’s life. They’re all just past versions of my Henry, so unless his taste in pizza evolved throughout his years going through CtM, they’re all still pineapple pizza heathens >:)

That day, JAY B’s world was filled with grass that came up to his knees, sunset that briefly peeked through the dark clouds, and ghosts of the silent campsite. Insects flew about in the intimate conversation of creation, dreams, and the future. An interview with JAY B amidst the passing seasons.
So you are working on an album?
The album is almost finished. I couldn’t release it at the beginning of the year, so I’m releasing it now in the second half of the year. I’m thinking of preparing things early on for next time so [we] are preparing for the production of another album.
There was a big change this year, you moved from JYP Entertainment to H1GHR MUSIC, right? What did you expect before becoming a part of H1GHR MUSIC?
At first I was worried. and was concerned over what to do if I couldn’t adapt. My goal for this year was to adapt to the agency and its artists, but everyone has made me feel comfortable. I thought I would have to do a lot of adjusting to the new agency staff, but I was surprised by how understanding they were of the system I had experienced. The way there has been no problem in our communication has far exceeded my expectations. Things are flowing smoothly.
It must feel like a fresh start. You must be looking forward to getting to do what you couldn’t do previously, but on the other side you must also have hopes to learn more. Is there anyone that could provide you with blunt advice?
I’m not the demanding type. And I have never strongly demanded anything from the company either. But that doesn’t mean I accept anything the company makes and provides me. The difference is that my opinion is reflected in my work more than before. If I was going to lead everything at work, there would have been no need to join an agency. Joining the agency means communicating with their staff. I also think we should listen to other people's opinions a lot. And you have to give feedback too, of course. I am working well with the company. Be it a push or advice as help, I learnt a lot from my previous company. Since I have learnt a lot from there, I should trust myself a little more now. I try to relay what I know and learn about things I’m not knowledgeable of. I rely on Jay Bum hyung a lot. I contact him right away when there’s something I don’t know, and we have a lot of conversations.
Is it important that an artist is stubborn? Do you feel the need to emphasise your own music and personality?
Artists have different personalities, just as people have different preferences. I don't want to diss an artist who is stubborn, nor do I want to tell anyone who isn’t stubborn that they are not an artist. I acknowledge everyone. I, personally, want to express the way I live. I like making music. An artist should be clear about what they want to do. Whether it be to become a star, or to express themselves through music or to earn money, it has to be clear.
What is your clear stance as an artist?
Whether it’s fiction or reality, I want to make stories. I’m the type that wants to tell a story. It was like that too in my GOT7 days. I believe one should create and establish their own path in life. I think that's fun. It's hard, but it's worth it. It adds more meaning to my job and I think it becomes more valuable. If I didn't do it myself, I would feel less attached to it.
There’s nothing more fun than one’s own work. Showing your work and waiting for the response must also be thrilling.
Exactly. I love hearing that my music is good. I’m very shy so I cannot express it very well but I’m very thankful and proud too. And it reassures me that I’m not going down the wrong path.
It does feel like all the hard times disappear when you hear good feedback. But feedback isn’t always good. There are even people who avoid them because of fear of criticism.
To be honest, when it comes to unpleasant feedback, it kind of makes me feel… “ouch!” But I accept it because it is still an evaluation. It also gives me a boost. It’s fun.
You are a solo artist now. Do you feel a burden or pressure?
I don’t feel pressured, but I do feel the burden. I joined H1GHR MUSIC and I feel a sense of belonging. I gain something from this company, but I think this company should gain something from me, too. I have worries about things like whether I’ll be able to benefit the company or not. I feel slightly uneasy about possibly not meeting expectations too.
You feel a sense of responsibility.
There's always a reason and a purpose to start anything. Everyone starts music because they like it, and if they start, there must be music they want to make. So if there is criticism, one would feel down, but if the final product is good, the people that worked on it would feel good. That’s what I hope for.
You uploaded a bunch of your Def. songs onto your YouTube channel. There was quite a lot. Are you the prolific type?
I used to be but… I guess I’m still the type to make many songs. (Laughs). But compared to back then, my production has decreased a lot. My stamina can’t keep up. (Laughs). I used to be able to start and finish working on a song at dawn and when I felt like I could do more, I made more. Nowadays, even when I’m working on only one song, not only is it hard for my body, but I also feel drained so I can’t make many songs.
Isn’t it really fast to make even one song at dawn?
Ah, that’s true. I used to work like that three or four times a week, but now I work once or twice a week. Come to think of it, I don't think I'm the prolific type anymore.
Being able to make a lot of things means you have a lot of ideas.
Having run out of ideas is also a reason for having less work done. There are five mixtapes I’ve uploaded onto YouTube with four to five tracks each. At the time, I not only worked on those but music for GOT7 too. After hustling so hard, I feel like I’ve run out of material. I look around wondering where to find inspiration. When I finish making the melody and want to write lyrics, I feel lost.
In order to be prepared for those situations, creators keep a collection of material. How do you collect resources?
I often read or use my imagination. These days, I often put myself in others’ shoes. When watching a movie, one would empathize with the protagonist. It’s only natural since the plot revolves around them. But I would pay attention to the supporting roles or passerbys in the background and think about the story from their point of view. I would think about what I would do if I heard those words and if I were in that situation. I also pay close attention to any words that might be a good source of inspiration. In the past I would focus on how the plot developed, but now I look at the words that the author uses repeatedly. When I think of any useful words or ideas, I jot them down.
Observing the supporting roles instead of the central narrative is such a novel idea.
I suddenly thought of it while watching a movie at home. The protagonist had said some harsh and rude words to a supporting role. It was something like “Get out of my way.” I thought “How would it have felt to be the one moving out of their way? What would they feel?” These were the thoughts I had.
Has anyone told you that you have a unique perspective?
I’ve often heard that my personality is very unique.
People can say they don’t like something despite others saying they like it. That could come off as unique and fresh ideas come from an uncommon perspective too.
I think it’s 50/50. There are times when something might not feel like much for me while others like it, and times when everyone else seems quite indifferent while I like it. A song I recently liked the idea of is “Smile, Wait for the Flash” by Giriboy where he used the ‘kacha’ shutter sound as gunfire. Using ‘kacha’ like a gunfire as a metaphor for wrapping up your feelings after a breakup was a refreshing idea. It was great.
Do you also often use your instincts?
I try hard to. I don’t naturally use my instincts, but I try to look at things through a different lens. I tend to have random thoughts, and I had one today during the shoot too. This is a camping site, but there was no one camping. So I imagined how it would look when full of people moving about. Also during the shoot, there was a long blade of grass under my feet on a field of grass. I should have avoided it but I accidentally stepped on it. I felt sorry for the grass that got stepped on and out of instinct I said “sorry…”
Seems like you have keen sensibility.
I wish I could be sensible. I’m too cautious to say that I am sensible, though.
I think you would be considered a sensible person because you make music. But I noticed that the comments are disabled for Def.’s mixtapes on YouTube.
The songs that I make under “Def.” are 100% music that I personally wanted to make. I didn’t want to receive feedback, so I disabled the comments. If I release an album under “Def.” in the future, I probably won't be able to disable the comments. I don’t know. The reason I have disabled the comments is because I don’t want to see any praise nor criticism. I don’t look at the comments for my SoundCloud tracks either. Because they’re very personal projects, I’m worried I could be swayed by it so I don’t look at it on purpose. I don’t want to be swayed by anything when it comes to my personal projects. I guess that’s my way of being stubborn.
So it sounds like you’re saying the songs that are made under the name Def. are like a part of you. I can feel your sincerity towards your music.
I would pretend to be indifferent to evaluations, but I’m really scared of receiving negative comments. Not the criticism but I’m scared to look at comments that decide something as ‘not good.’ If they say that it’s not their style, then it’s just personal preference. There may not be songs that match their preference within my discography. But it’s difficult for me to hear people say ‘this is not good, bad, or meh.’ After all, those songs came from me and are like my children.
I remember many tracks with gentle melodies and discovered JAY B’s delicate side. Is this surprising to hear?
This is the first time I’ve been called delicate. I do have several sensitive/vibey songs. I want to try something like a pop, hip-hop, or smug and cocky vibe but I’m not good at that. I don’t think it’s my personality.
What is considered a good melody to you?
Something that feels good at the first listen. My music taste has been so diverse recently that even when I talk to my friends about music, the songs that we all like are different. It’s hard to reach a consensus. In the creator’s perspective, even if something doesn’t sound good to others but it does to the creator, I consider that to be a good melody. I used to stress over how to write a good melody, how to sing it, and if the company would like it. As I move on step by step, I found a standard where at least the melody should sound good enough to me to not abandon the song since everyone has different preferences.
Personal preferences are important but it must be an important job to cater to the general public too. No, I mean, a difficult job.
That’s right. I think I still lack the ability to create melodies that the general public would like. I will have to learn step by step. One thing I feel is that there must be a part that sticks. I can’t exactly describe what type of melody it would be, but to set a minimum standard, it would be ‘a melody that I’m satisfied with. If it’s one that I’m not satisfied with but the public likes, I should follow that.
Do you tend to use many tracks when making music? There’s lot of songs these days that use dozens of layers of tracks.
We used a lot of harmonies with GOT7. Because there were so many harmonies, there was a crazy number of tracks too. These days, I try to be minimal and reduce harmonies. I don’t layer many tracks. I usually have the main track with a few harmonies and some adlibs.
K-Pop in particular mixes many genres and harmonies to create complex music. They are very flashy. What do you think of this phenomenon as someone who prefers to be minimal?
I see it as a good thing, because it means that the general public’s preference is expanding to a variety. It’s rather better. Of course, the basics are also important and I do feel the necessity to study them but we also need to agree with change. We should accept change. Who knows, I might grow old to be someone that can’t accept change and wonder, ‘what kind of music is this?’ But I feel that now is a time to open our eyes to change. When I find that a song is difficult to listen to, I will purposely listen to it repeatedly.
It’s been 10 years since you’ve debuted. How much have you changed over these 10 years?
In the past I was ambitious and had high expectations, but now I am more relaxed. With age, I think my sensitive side is becoming more and more dull. When I let go of some desires, I get to be accepting of more things. The scope of my activities also seems to have widened. I used to have a stubborn side to me in the past. Now I’m like ‘don’t expect too much, don’t anticipate too much,’ just do my job diligently!
There are many artists that use other creative hobbies to ease the burdens of their main job. What do you do to cope with your fuel for creativity?
My hobby is photography so I take many photos. I also learned how to draw at one point but nowadays, I don’t have time to draw since I’m busy. I also make records of things often. I write down my thoughts, even useless things. I also use an audio recorder to record my mood, thoughts, and things I’m currently doing. I also write letters to my future self. Things like ‘this is why I’m struggling, this is what would be good for me now but how it would be for my future self?’ Wondering what I will be thinking about and what I would look like. I write letters to myself about stuff like that. I put them in envelopes according to the year and on the envelope I write down the year the letter was written.
So It’s like an archive of your time. Writing, journaling, letters, photos, music, it’s interesting. A very organised way of saving your thoughts to not lose them. Having said that, is there anyone else you would like to show your records to besides your future self?
Ah! I can’t show this to people. They’ll cringe. (Laughs) It’s sort of embarrassing. I can show the photos to everyone but I want to keep voice messages to myself. I hope that when I am older, I can look at them as I laugh and reminisce about my life. They’re records for myself.
Do you also record everyday life in any way?
I record when I find it interesting the way I thought about something. Even looking at my journal from last year or the year before, my thoughts were different from now. I find it intriguing to see the way people can change like this. I think I tend to have many thoughts, so I record them every day.
From the position of a creator, I guess journaling can be seen as an activity to collect one’s senses and emotions to use them as material for inspiration.
That’s right. My brain isn’t good enough for me to remember everything. There are situations when I recall a memory and decide I could write this down.
What was the most fun thing you did lately?
It’s a bit dangerous, but it was when I rode around on my motorcycle with my friend. There was suddenly a heavy downpour. Since I needed to go home, I rode the motorcycle in the rain. I was completely soaked when I got home. The journey home was super difficult, but I was fortunate enough to not have suffered any injuries. It was a completely new experience so it was very fun. I don’t want to experience it again but it felt like an adventure.
Wearing the Burberry 2021 F/W collection in the pictorial today must also be a new experience. Slightly different from the refined and classic Burberry, the collection shows a lot of change. What were your usual thoughts on Burberry?
I thought of it as a clean and straightforward style. Ever since some time, I noticed their young and bold changes. Although today’s outfits contained many new attempts and changes, I felt that their style was still well refined. I felt that Burberry used their own unique perspective to cleanly interpret nature’s elements. Wearing the outfits, I felt like they had a lot of fun ideas.
Which outfit left the biggest impression on you?
Choosing just one is very difficult. There was one that gave off the feel of a medieval knight, and made me feel like a monarch. I’ve heard that in medieval times, people would also wear bearskin from hunting. I think that has some influence on the Burberry outfits that I wore today. Every time I put on an outfit, I always felt like a medieval knight or king. The fur on the clothes had a strong animalistic feel to it. The scenery, weather, and concept were all very harmonious with each other.
Going back to the topic of music, you said that you like to tell stories. Do you also create a universe with music?
Yes, I create a universe for each album. This album creates this universe, while that album creates another. The albums won’t connect to create one universe, though. Each album is its own world, nothing more. I can’t make them magnificently connect into a grand universe. I like to put my story into each album.
Can you use a keyword to describe the universe of the album you are about to release?
It would be “SOMO:FUME.” This is the first album that I made after joining H1GHR MUSIC. This album consists of my energy, feelings, and thoughts, so it contains the meaning of my hopes for people to consume (somo in Korean) this product and and my wishes for my emotions to smear on to you like perfume, which is why I combined [somo] with the [English word] perfume, and named [the album] SOMO:FUME.
In which direction will JAY B’s music flow from now onwards?
I’ve pondered about directionality for a long time, but I couldn’t come up with an answer. The important part is to participate enough for me to not have regrets and be careful. I may disappoint myself if I have too many expectations for the future. I need to work diligently to not be disappointed when I look back; so that in the future, I can see that I worked hard.

RFA + Minor Trio with a MC who doesn’t want to give birth in C Section

HEY! So, since you all liked the Pregnancy Series a lot and I still had a writing which is dedicated to birth and Family I decided to post this as a ,,Spinn off’’ however this writing was written before I decided to write the Pregnancy Series so the story will be probably different from the original series!
Jumin
The both of you were at a diner when you suddenly got contractions, feeling pain in your whole body.
You couldn’t tell him for sure what was hurting you, but you knew that you would give birth to your baby soon.
When you suddenly felt water run down your legs, you immediately knew that this baby was impatient to meet the world.
You were gasping for air and holding Jumin’s hand when another wave of pain overcame you, making you go down to your knees and hold onto your abdomen stronger.
,,Mr Han, we will bring you to the hospital,’’ Driver Kim said, trying to get you up.
However, you stopped Jumin when he was too tired to move you. ,,The midwife said to wait for the ambulance in case the baby comes in the car…’’ you gasped and looked between him and the driver.
Jumin nodded, reminding that you were right and so all guests were brought outside while pillows were put on the floor so that you could lay down and feel a bit more comfortable.
,,Heeee heee hu….’’ he helped you to breathe, showing you the right rhythm.
Finally, the ambulance came, however, things took a bad turn and he quickly noticed that something wasn’t going the way it should…
,,She is having complications. We need to give birth in C-Section! Quickly!’’ one paramedic said as your eyes flickered. You were so weak by now.
He couldn’t do anything but just watch, but suddenly you found a bit of strength to go against the paramedic.
,,No! No wait,’’ you called, sobbing and trying to hold in Jumin’s jacket.
,,C-Section is so bad for the baby!’’ you said to Jumin.
He looked at you as you sobbed ,,She will die if they don’t do it…’’ Jumin told you and brushed your hair with his hand.
And so, to save your daughter, you clunched your eyes and let them rush you to the hospital, even though natural birth would have been better in your opinion...
Zen
,,The baby is in the wrong position. The legs are down,’’ the doctor told you.
There were just a few weeks to go until you would be due and there wasn’t the possibility that the baby would turn around this late in the pregnancy.
,,What? I don’t want it… I heard so many bad things,’’ you said as your hand laid on your belly, your child was kicking.
You were sad and kind of angry, you wished for a natural birth so much. Maybe one in the water.
But now this all disappeared.
,,The baby could hurt himself. I can’t help you, I’m sorry. And nowadays, the medical care is so good that your baby will be more than fine,’’ the doctor tried to make you feel better.
Zen patted your hand and smiled at you.
His red eyes looked at you as he tried to make you feel better.
,,It’s not that we have another option, MC,’’ he mumbled and kissed your hand.
Suddenly you began to cry. Those days, it happened a lot.
,,I know,’’ you sobbed.
,,That’s why… ah… I wanted to see my baby, to give birth at it, and what if they cut or hurt him?’’ you asked him.
,,I will be by your side and make sure nothing goes wrong, I promise…’’ he lastly told you, making you feel just a bit better.
Yoosung
,,We already did it once. The doctor back then told me that the next time there was a chance that I could give birth to my baby naturally and right now you are-ugh! Telling me no?!’’ you asked the nurse as she told you that you had to get ready for surgery.
,,Yoosung! Are you or aren't you a doc! Say something!’’ you said angrily to your husband.
He looked at you helplessly as he mumbled that he was a vet and that there was nothing he could do.
,,Mrs Kim, the baby's head is too big. It could get very dangerous for your newborn,’’ she told you and looked at you apologetically.
Suddenly you began to hiss. ,,Last time it hurt like hell! Yoosung! You did this again!’’ you hissed angrily while you held his hand.
He nodded and kept kissing your forehead as he apologized.
He knew how much you wished for this birth to be normal and that you wanted to see your child and not have countless people around you cut you and close you up again.
,,I will get you ready now, Mrs. Kim,’’ the nurse smiled and took out a razor to make your abdomen free from the hair for the surgery.
And just like back then, they gave you sedatives as you cried to yourself.
,,I… wanted to stay awake this time,’’ you groaned when you suddenly felt yourself feeling sleepy.
Yoosung could just cry as he saw you in pain.
Once again you both decided to go to a very big hospital and just like the last time, nothing was done the way you wished for it.
Not even Yoosung was allowed to stay as he was sent outside where Jumin and Jaehee, as well as Zen waited for him.
His daughter was sleeping in Jaehee’s arms as Zen approached him, patting him to ask why he was crying.
,,They didn’t do it how we wanted again,’’ he mumbled and looked over to the surgery room.
Jaehee
,,Why C-Section?’’ Jaehee asked the doctor.
You looked from her to the man in the white clothing as he explained why he had to perform the surgery.
,,But what if you accidentally cut my baby? Or what if something goes wrong? I’ve heard so many bad things,’’ you mumbled, looking at Jaehee.
The both of you fought so hard for this baby and to become both mothers.
You did everything right and now the last step would go like this?
Jaehee stroked your hair as she nibbled at her lips.
,,How much time do we still have?’’ Jaehee asked the doctor as she wanted to talk to you.
,,About half an hour,’’ he said, but before going out he looked back at the both of you. ,,Although, there’s not much to decide if you want to give birth to this baby well,’’ he said and with that he left you with your thoughts and fears.
,,Let’s do it, Mc,’’ Jaehee said as soon as he was out.
,,I know that we have to go with it, but I heard so many things and I thought this would be my body…’’ you whined.
Jaehee nodded as she kissed your nose. ,,Soon we will have this wonderful baby in our hands and then we will be able to enjoy our time, but one last time let’s do this, for the baby.’’
Saeyoung
You were pregnant with twins. When Saeyoung found out, he was scared at first.
Scared that he wouldn’t be a good father, that he would turn out like his mother, that his children wouldn’t like him…
The young man struggled with a lot of things, but when one day, you fainted early on in your pregnancy, he knew that he would love these children with his everything and that with you he had nothing to fear.
You would be by his side and support him and since he already loved and worried about his unborn children so much, there was no way that he would turn into a monster.
And maybe that’s why he was so protective of you when you felt the sharp pain and the ambulance had to pick you up, just to tell you that the babies would come way too early.
,,We need to perform a C-Section,’’ the doctor nodded and asked Saeyoung to sign the document.
He was about to sign when you stopped him. Gasping for air, you tried to check if there was another way.
,,Delaying the birth won’t be an option. It could put you or one of the babies at risk. Twins usually come earlier so there is nothing to fear. We will do our best.’’
Even if you still didn’t trust the doctor, you decided to go with it and so you were transported away to a place Saeyoung couldn’t keep you safe on his own anymore…
Saeran
The both of you looked at each other as the doctor told you the news.
You were currently pregnant and in your final trimester.
Everything went well these past 38 weeks.
Your baby was healthy, you were healthy, and you enjoyed every single moment of it.
But right now, the only thing you felt was disappointment as the doctor told you that you probably couldn’t give birth naturally, but needed a C-Section as the baby turned around at the last minute so the feet of your newborn were down and the head upside down.
You pressed your lips together and Saeran could see that your hands were trembling.
You were scared of giving birth, but now that this problem came up, you were also unsure.
But you knew that you didn’t have another possibility other than to agree with him.
,,I don’t like that they will have to use so many medications, I heard that a lot of things can go wrong,’’ you mumbled on your way home.
You were still holding his hand. The both of you walked slower as it was hard for you to keep up with him.
,,I know, I understand,’’ he gasped. He too, to be honest, would have liked to see you giving birth naturally, but on the other hand it would be less painful for you, he thought.
,,Baby, why can’t you turn around?’’ you asked your baby and received a kick.
,,Yeah, thanks!’’ you laughed and held the spot you were just kicked in with your hand.
Saeran supported your back with his hand as he led you home. ,,I know how you feel, but I will do my best to stay by your side even in surgery and the next time, for the next baby, we can have a natural birth, I am sure of it!’’ he smiled, making you feel a bit better.
Jihyun
He rubbed his hands together as he sat on the uncomfortable chairs in the waiting room.
Jumin was next to him as he was leaning back.
He seemed relaxed on the outside, but to be honest, he was also worried.
For Lucy, the little girl he was the godfather of and you, a person who changed his best friend's life for the better. He was grateful to you.
But to know that you actually had an accident didn’t make him feel that good, knowing that you were 39 weeks pregnant, however, made his stomach twist.
,,Mr. Kim,’’ the doctor asked and looked around, mustering the attention of the two handsome men in the waiting room.
,,Yes?’’ Jihyun got up and tried to gulp. His throat was just so dry…
He was scared of the words of the doctor, but he felt at ease as soon as he was told that Lucy was okay.
,,She just has a little stitch in her arm and will probably have a little headache, but please don’t worry. However, your wife,’’ he stopped.
Jihyun felt his legs tremble as the doctor said ,,however’’, what did that mean?
,,We need to give birth to the baby now in a C-Section to prevent it’s death, but she is against it. We need to hurry, so if you would please try to calm her down so that we can begin,’’ he mumbled.
Jumin chuckled a bit. It was a serious matter, but he didn’t expect anything else from you, the woman who would fight everyone with everything she had.
Jihyun nodded and followed the doctor, seeing you with all those scratches and the blood made his heart sink, but he didn’t hesitate to approach you.
,,Hey,’’ he said, a bit sad as he noticed that your hands were trembling.
,,Jihyun,’’ you said. From the sound of your voice, he knew that you were on the verge of crying.
,,It’s too early,’’ you sobbed.
,,They will hurt him. I’ve heard so many bad stories… I don’t want to,’’ you mumbled, finally sobbing now.
,,I understand, Mc. I love you so much and I wish I could make you happy, but they have to or the baby will die if we don’t hurry,’’ he softly explained, trying to make you lay back as his fingers touched your trembling lips, following the shape of your red lips he loved so much.
,,You will be able to see your baby soon and Jumin is outside. Nothing will go wrong and we will keep an eye on it okay?’’ he asked you.
Slowly, you didn’t fight back as the nurse began to do her work, someone else shaving your abdomen.
One last time, you looked over to Jihyun who also seemed very emotional, but still managed to smile at you as you softly closed your eyes.
Now it was his turn to be strong for you...
Vanderwood
This morning was supposed to go differently when you woke up.
You guys actually wanted to have fun together on your couch and watch a movie, eat some food, and talk about the future.
But nothing came like that.
You suddenly felt dizzy in the bathroom and immediately called Vanderwood as you were beginning to panic.
,,I’m here,’’ he gasped and held you. ,,I’m here, Mc, what’s wrong?’’ he asked you again.
Softly, but weakly, you managed to tell him that you felt a slight pain between your legs.
At first he was scared, scared to death when he heard about your pain.
But as he arrived at the hospital with you, he calmed down.
The news that you would give birth soon made him nervous, yes, but he wasn’t scared that something was wrong with the baby or you.
Well, for now at least.
The situation quickly changed after three hours.
,,She’s too weak!’’ the midwife whined to the doctor.
Vanderwood was actually ready. Everyone was but you.
He saw you there, gasping for air, sweating and crying.
His heart was breaking as he saw how much pain you were in.
,,C-Section, we can’t go on like this,’’ the doctor calmly said and nodded to the nurses. Apparently, they all knew what to do.
Suddenly he heard your whimper as you looked to him
,,Please don’t. I will do better, but don’t,’’ you whined, searching for his hand.
Vanderwood didn’t think twice and held your hand as he tried to smile.
,,It will be alright, Mc, I promise. Nothing will happen to you or the baby, okay? Don’t worry, I will stay here,’’ he promised and tried to stroke your head. He tried to swipe the sweat away and noticed how hot you were.
Was this a fever or just from the hard work?
He knew that you wanted to fight back, say something, do something against the decision, but as you were so nervous, they decided to put you to sleep while the surgery was ongoing, making you close your eyes slowly.
,,I’m here,’’ he said and looked down to the medical staff performing the surgery.
