BUT!#since the rest of the cast generally likes him [at least as I play it] he thinks hes doing just fine #he's like 'oh they r happy with me so i must be getting a good grade in being peppino :)'#so getting told that 'yeah you actually really suck at that but that was never the reason people liked you'#and told that by og model peppino no less--yknow THE guy he's supposed to be living up to #who's already a bit intimidating for that and who ALSO totally wrecked him TWICE in the tower #making him acutely familiar with just how formidable the guy is and how much there IS to live up to....#it's a Moment for sure. not really a sad or hurt one though. just... contemplative.#thinking abt people liking him for being the guy he's already naturally been being even though that guy is Not Peppino #i don't think he's gonna be super broken up about realizing he has a bad grade in peppino given everything else hes got now #nor do i really think he cares enough to go like reinvent himself or whatever after the fact #he seems to b pretty clearly having fun with it already so i think he just keeps doing that #and in some cases he still has the pre-installed peppino traits/instincts like to cooka da pizza. and that's fine #is this projection. yes. but if youve been following me awhile you know most of my character writing is ghdhfdgf #gonna kinda expand on all this in the gerome one which is...one after next. itll be a bit but man.#anyway peppino will never admit to anyone and especially not himself that he's gotten a little attached to the guy. hee hoo #pep tends to be kinda surly but he certainly has his ways of showing he cares. all of which are on display here #''that thing is not my son'' says man currently watching thing's antics with the 'bemused dad' arms crossed pose. yeah ok buddy.#gus is totally onto him already but hes not gonna say anything.#if u read all this ur prize is not having to go decode fp's rot13. his lines are ''meant to be you...?'' and ''wrong question.''

#marketing class is... fascinating /negative so far #gender is too Not A Big Deal to me for this #it puts so much weight on how traditional gender roles influence shopping habits #which like. it's just weird to have to throw myself into that mindset of 'men vs women' for a grade #because in my mind‚ the lines between the two lean pretty insignificant #like i get it. i'm not here to cancel this random ass course skjskdsd it's just a weird feeling to have to consciously lean INTO that #like there are objective demographic differences and patterns but it feels WEIRD to be reading my textbook about how #you should market cleaning supplies to women and beer to men #like i know it's all just about numbers and it's literally not that deep but it feels offputting to me personally sdksdks

so wait, since i was just reminded of the recorder thing donna talked about in the giggle, i now have a question for uk ppl: do yall learn the recorder in school? like in a music class? and like how much do yall have music class over there?

#this is a very interesting topic for me as a music educator from the us #ik a guy from ireland and he said there was no music class in schools for him and like not the same country BUT same island #(as northern ireland. not the others in the uk but still)#and its so wild and fascinating music education is a fascinating field and the way we do it in the us seems to be largely vvv unique to us #for clarification on how things are different so ppl have a better idea on how to answer my question lol:#in the us music class is standard in elementary schools and most places have general music until abt 5th/6th grade (year 6/7)#(general music = basics- music games learn recorder SOME notation-reading; often classroom instruments eg boomwhackers claves maracas #orff instruments if you're lucky/from a school district that isnt poor. also some world music)#its less standardized after that and not every school will have music after middle school but concert bands and choirs are both huge here #choirs start right on the heels of general music classes (sometimes start earlier + students elect to be in choir instead of general music)#bands USUALLY start in 4th grade (year 5) but sometimes can be later 5th/6th (year 6/7) or even 7th (year 8) (WAY less common)#depends on the state generally 4th is most common i think (choirs start at around the same time i think so probs 4th but choir isnt my area #orchestras are weird bc theyre a lot less common but can commonly start younger bc of one of the big approaches to music ed (suzuki method)#so like maybe 3rd grade (year 4) maybe 4th w/ band (year 5) but i have a friend who teaches at a private school #& said they have 1st/2nd graders (year 2/3)!! orchestra is also not my area though #also marching bands: vv common! usually just in hs (starting 9th grade / year 10) bc it supports the football team at games #but starting in 8th grade (year 9) is also common (sometimes even 7th / year 8)#theres two different styles: collegiate/show band and competition. former is very rah rah pop music etc; competition is more abstract #show bands are clearly designed to entertain whereas competition is designed to be more impressive and tell a story #so more impact moments abstract shapes/lines on the field and has movements - opener ballad closer (fast-slow-fast)

the semester ended a few weeks ago. its getting hot

#rune #my oc #how am i doing? right when i got my final grades i went right into making a ust for a song #i havent used utau in months cause i have just been yelling at schoolwork #spent like 5 days on it. did complicated for me tuning. switched through like #5 voicebanks. had to oto a voicebank. hated it. used it anyway cause i have nothing #finished the whole thing. Do Not Like It. upload it anyway i spent so much time on it #it probably would have been better if i used a different voicebank but i am. vain.#my relationship with it has been so wishywashy. during production i was. okay. some days i am like this is good #then 5 minutes later i am like wow this is bad i am terrible #i like the art tho. its silly. i always like this art style #i bought a bunch of pokemon merch for the lazy summer line. its getting bad out here #i passed with As and Bs by the way 👍🏽

Gosh, Im being such a lazy ass today, with finals just around the corner and an off day to get stuff done and instead I just wanna play Skyrim ffs...

#personal #tbf Im feeling kinda miserable with the allergies #and trying to ward off depressive spiral and mood swings #Im hoping if I do some gaming now then I can stock up on the good feels #and then do Something after dinner when the anxiety starts nipping at my heels #like maybe finish that one paper I need to send in before the month ends #so I have it out of the way #it doesn’t even need to be super good or whatever #Im convinced she barely checks them before giving grades #everyone always gets good ones no matter how much effort they've put in #but I Can’t not make it look at least Somewhat like a proper paper so yeag #still only two pages left for the required amount so #just need to get it out of the way #maybe make another bibliography descp for another class #I have two left to do for rhe five required #they do take some time but at least now I know how to do them #at first it was like black magic I swear #but yeah anywa6 #gonna boot up Skyrim and try to move my romance with Kaidan #or errr friendship for now #but I have to say #as much as Im Not fond of some of his added EE lines #the early flirt and all the og lines Im hearing now are *chefs kiss*#I love this guy #and Im unironically writing a fanfic in my head that may or may not get actually written in some form #Im having the itch to write for the first time in like over half a year #Im Craving it here at this point #while what I Should be writing is my thesis :')#oh well... the uni life continues lmao #I might go start the companions or thieves guild missions today

One of my students saw me yesterday walking across the field at lunch and I waved and then she threw her arms in the air and goes “Miss K, you belong in the SOUND OF MUSIC also I don’t know anything about your love life and it’s not my business but when it happens it will just be [ chef’s kiss motion ]” and it was so cute and funny and everything alsksksjejejehehjejee

#like she just. it was just this overflow of emotion and delight in my person #that only a 17 year old girl can give #it is the positive and very precious to me side of what I was talking about with boundaries the other day #I taught this girl in 8th grade #And then again her sophomore year #and she just. Loves me! A lot!#anyway there are real negatives to it sometimes and just dangers and fears #because it gives me power and sometimes it gives me the temptation to use that power #and also it can go to my head! because the affection of teenagers is an elusive thing #so I’m just trying to stay on the right side of all the lines #but that was kind of just a little gift of a moment after a hard week of worrying #also thank you so much for praying for me. I was able to pray myself about it which I have not been able to #And just remember to give all the most specific and embarrassing moments and missteps (that I do not speak about here) to God #So thank you ❤️#Anyway
