This boy grew up never having seen any form of television and with a very stilted education. When he was first introduced to the concept of animated doodles he tutted and went to train with his swords. But after Tim got him hooked on anime, he jumped head first into cartoons.

Now he's fully memorized Wakko's state song from Animaniacs. He will fight anyone who says anything bad about Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. He anon posts Owl House fan art. Hell, he watched Steven Universe and cried through the entire finale.

Does his whole family know? Probably. They're all detectives. But he still doesn't say anything, and they don't either. Though they do tend to avoid him on nights when one of his shows has a new episode out.
