In which Oliver also comes from old money and he and Felix fall in love in boarding school(?). The Quicks and the Cattons have been business partners since Queen Victoria was still kicking so Ollie and Felix have known each other their whole lives (summers and holidays always spent together) but when their family ties are suddenly severed after a hostile fight between their fathers, the boys’ last year at Eton is irrevocably ruined. As a reaction they decide (it was Felix’s idea and he succeeded in cajoling Oliver to agree) to elope run away on the first day of the Christmas holidays (imagine their respective chauffeurs endlessly waiting for them at the school gates lmao) and get married on a whim (also Felix’s idea to somehow "fix" things like ta-da! Can’t separate us now dad, we’re fucking married. Oliver is now a Catton. Family peace restored! No, not really Felix lmao.)
#needless to say they get caught the very next day#maybe they didn’t have much cash left and the only -pace they could’ve slept in for free was the hotel in the area that the Cattons owned#the reception prolly snitched but they both knew they would get caught eventually#also it doesn’t help that they’re the heirs of the richest aristocratic families in England#maybe they keep their marriage secret?it would be smarter to considering the repercussions but also maybe Felix it out first thing?#bc its Felix duh#as a consequence to their little escapade Oliver is pulled out of Eton for the rest of the year and the two of them only get to meet#the next year at Oxford where they have to keep things on the down low since Oliver’s father has threatened to transfer him to Cambridge if#if he’s seen frolicking about with Felix. it’s also difficult when Farleigh is acting as a (well-paid) spy for both parties#although both Jeff and James had sprinkled other eyes on the campus#oooh imagine them trying to hide in the back of the club. making out whilst crouching down behind dumpsters lmaooo#or or or! with a wide smile displayed on your pretty features, you ran into jake’s arms opened wide for you.
voice muffled by the fabric of his shirt you spoke, “i missed you.”
he left a kiss on the top of your head, “missed you too.”
after a few seconds, you pulled away, and he smiled at you before lifting up his right hand and placing it gently to hold your jaw. you melted into his touch, and you watched as he leaned in and felt as his soft lips met yours.
even after all this time, with the smallest things, like a simple kiss, he still managed to give you butterflies.
pulling away, you opened your eyes and stared at your lovely boyfriend, but doing so, your eyes only grew wider by the second.
“wait—jake!” you exclaimed, perhaps slightly too loud as it was enough to make him flinch (a cute habit of his). you blinked a few times to make sure you were seeing this right. a smile began to overcome your lips, complementing your astonished gaze as your next few words left you, “your hair! it’s black!”
you squealed, bringing one hand up to brush through the locks between your fingers, your other hand on his bicep to steady yourself.
he smiled as he watched you, amused with what a single colouring session for his hair could do to you.
“it looks so good!” you complimented subconsciously.
“i mean the blonde is obviously amazing, but this!” you couldn’t help but admire, “there’s something about your natural colour that just hits way harder. i love it.”
he pulled you closer, hugging you, but you weren’t finished yet. you pushed back slightly, unable to get enough of this. combing through the soft locks some more, you gasped.
“you cut it too!”
too initially caught up in the drastic change of colour, you hadn’t noticed that his hair was shorter.
“i’m glad you like it,” he started, pulling you closer again, causing you to slightly fall against his body, automatically then wrapping your arms around his torso, “but can i just have this moment with you?”
his words were soft and implied that he wanted to cherish the few minutes of free time he had with you in his hold before he had to return to practice.
“i know you love the compliments though,” you said, smirking although he couldn’t see it.
“but i love having you in my arms a lot more,” he flirted.
you rolled your eyes playfully before closing them and savouring the moment with an exhale, pulling yourself deeper into him, mumbling a soft, “i love you.”
“what was that?” he teased, attempting to look at you, but you just buried your face deeper into his body.
“nothing.”
he kissed the side of your head with a smirk, “i love you too.”

Can yall try to be normal about sex work and nonmonogamy/people who aren't virgins?
The number of asks I get that censor sex work related terms, use outdated and offensive terms, and act like it's something secret and to be ashamed of is unacceptable. Sex work is work. We don't keep random VHS copies of our own pornos in our houses. We aren't "spoiled" or "ruined" because we have sex with colleagues for the camera, and it's not something that should inspire jealousy in any reasonable person. I will never make the boys anything but fully supportive of sex work, and I will not change my Joseph's backstory as a full service survival sex worker just because it "ruins him for you". Grow the fuck up and be normal about the fact that even if you personally are a virgin, not everyone is and that doesn't make them incapable/unworthy of love or devotion or commitment. Casual sex is not abnormal or something you need to psychoanalyse a character about. Just. Please be normal about sex and sex work, all you're doing is making yourself look like an asshole.

Okay, here's something I'd love to see for Kiv- poison. One that leaves him burning up from a fever and in excruciating pain the whole time. He's such a cutie when he's begging and scared.
But it also begs the question... would Sahota be kind enough to help him? Kiv hurts him after all
Poor Kiv would have a vague understanding of illness and poison, but having it happen to him would be different. Hurting from the inside, and nothing seems to make it stop. He'd probably be incapacitated for a while
Sahota doesn't like Kiv, but this mostly manifests in trying to avoid him and acting cold when they're forced to be together. He's gotten pretty good at looking away from violence (or enacting it himself when necessary), but prolonged suffering is a different story. He doesn't like Kiv, but he wouldn't just leave him to fend for himself when he's in that kind of pain
