As a longtime (2015ish) follower of yours, its been fun watching you become... more tender? toward Machete. back in the day it was angst angst angst, and i loved it! but you cant know darkness without light and vice verse. Youve been a massive inspiration the whole time btw. Its nice to see not-anthro!Machete again too

But Marinette dreams of being swept off her feet by Adrien all the time though?
what I mean by "Marinette does the opposite" is that, when faced with trauma/fear/heartbreak/etc, Marinette's emotional response is usually a strong "I don't deserve love! I should stop fawning over Adrien! I don't deserve him! I have to die alone!", which is the exact opposite of Adrien's post-trauma "my life sucks but at least I still have my love for Ladybug/Kagami/Marinette"

I think what they mean by heavily inspired is that it's a similar concept just with their own spin / interpretation on it.
Kind of like how someone made their own interpretation of the Undertale Underswap au called Trueswap.
yeah i mean. i don't own the concept and its not exactly a unique one lmao so why the fuck not yk!

Just a thought but, I can imagine little kid Emmie playing at the park, and hurting herself, maybe she fell off the slide and scratched her knee. So she goes to her Dad.
Sonic pulls out a red biplane band-aid, (I think that's what Americans call a plaster? I may be wrong) gently puts it on, and kisses her on the forehead, to 'heal her supersonic speed!' And tells her to go have fun!
Aka Sonic's a massive nerd as a dad, and loves his kid!
ANOTHER ADORABLE SCENE YOU GUYS ARE KILLING ME AAAAAAA
I imagine Sonic being a bit nervous since it's been a while since he raised a kid -because Tails is a adult now augh-, but once Emmie's out of the tube it just all comes back to him and!!!! He turns out to be the most wholesome dad ever!!! And it's completely unintentional he just loves his daughter and of course he would bring the band-aids with cute designs because his girl deserves nothing but the best!!!!!

Idk where to vent about this so... Hi! The new voicelines that imply Rat and Hog are 'sharing the same spaces' as overwatch actually make me really sad. (For example Junkrat referring to Ana by name and S76 asking him what happened "in the kitchen.")
I never expected Junkrat and Roadhog to become cops... They were the best characters because they were anti-heroes. I feel like this is just to make it easier to have them playable in the story modes. Meanwhile we still don't know ANYTHING about Junkrat's treasure or anything they teased YEARS ago... Anyway, a number of things keep me from wanting to give Blizzard any engagement or money so this just makes it easier, but... Still upset. :(
You can vent here, 's alright <3
Personally I wouldn't really... put too much thought into any "lore" that Blizzard comes up with. Heck, I don't even really know what Overwatch does tbh. Always thought that they took themselves for some self-proclaimed heroes, having their panties in a knot over disagreements with Talon and stuff... something-something omnic-crisis... Are they supposed to be cops?? Thought they were some kind of task force... (I've spent like... 2 seconds looking into the other character's backstories... I'm just not really interested in it). Over the years a lot of ff writers have tried to make sense of this clusterfuck of a non-existing, actually working story for Ovw in which they've tackled the topic of the Junkers joining Overwatch. Because the game itself doesn't make any sense. But we get immerged in it and our brains WANT it to make sense. And so idk... I never really gave it a second thought that the new voice lines actually prove that Junkrat and Roadhog have joined ranks with Overwatch. Most of the time it just kinda worked (favorite theme was Overwatch bailing the Junkers out of jail, asking them to work for them, because they were afraid Talon would have the same idea).
We have to see how everything's gonna play out in the end, I take the Junkers as some very opportunistic folks with a self made set of morals, so I could imagine them joining Overwatch as long as it meets their needs... and then they move on. But like I said personally I wouldn't give two shits about Blizzard's writing, because it ain't that deep.
(Sorry if this all sounds so... pessimistic, I'm just really good in keeping my hopes low, because in the end nothing makes a lot of sense and they just wanna make m o n e y )

I love how Targ stans are like Visenya, Alysanne, Rhaenyra, Dany are so great but then they turn around and say Naerys, Rhaella and other Targ queens who weren't dragonriders suck. And I saw a comment on YouTube that it's funny how Targ princesses position lowered (well, it was never very high but after death of dragons it went to basically 0) after death of dragons and they lost significance in eyes of many when they weren't dragonriders. Well it's not hard to understand that those girls are only impressed when Targ princesses threaten to burn everything to assert dominance as if it was a sing of being powerful 😂 and when they lack dragons they are worth less than spitting on the ground even though they had to put up with their toxic and violent brothers-husbands. If to them Targ princesses value depends on whether they have a dragon or not, do we really need to wonder if they are feminist? Because they are clearly not, what's more they think Targ princesses cannot possibly be powerful without giant lizard spitting fire so it just reminds me of words from Tony Stark to Peter Parker If you're nothing without this suit then you shouldn't have it and the same could be applied to all those girlbosess Targ princesses that certain people love and refuse to see they are not perfect. What are all of them without dragons? Okay, Visenya knew how to fight, Alysanne was very intelligent, but Rhaenyra and Dany just spoiled child and arrogant child and they both don't know how game of thrones is played. Just look at basically legendary player, Olenna Tyrell and how many times did she threaten someone directly? Only twice, with High Sparrow and Littlefinger and with High Sparrow it was because he imprisoned Loras and Margaery and Littlefinger because she predicted he would go to Cersei and say she poisoned Joffrey and at the end of conversation it was Littlefinger who needed to rethink his strategy because if he spoke a word about Olenna murdering Joffrey, she would also play at this game and she will say Littlefinger was also involved in this so that's why she said our fates are joined, together we murdered the king, meaning if Littlefinger will expose her and her house, she would do the same to him. But Olenna talk with Tywin, it's so great because 1) Tywin couldn't harm her or her house after they helped Lannisters defeat Stannis 2) they were both head of their houses and there is so much between the lines, so much unspoken things and that's the beauty of game of thrones. It's all about plotting, look at Varys and Littlefinger and then look at Rhaenyra and Dany. Come on, does anyone take this crazy stans seriously? When I was watching how Hightowers interact with others it's all about being subtle, it's getting what they want but not in brutal way like Targs are known for, because it doesn't matter whether you have a dragon or not, but when you are stupid, others will manipulate you and play smart and use you for their own benefit and that's why I don't respect Targs as family because almost all of them act like entitled to everything all the time and their arrogance causes them to be shortsighted and they think just because they wear crown, have dragons that it means they are the most powerful people in the world, but that's wrong, because they are not.
I do think a large appeal of the Targaryens is their dragons which like… fine whatever. Dragons are cool. I think the mythos behind their family is cool. But I think a lot of people maybe project certain ideas of the Targaryens to frankly make them seem more competent or more politically savvy.
Much of the power they wield is in their dragons (for a time) and by telling themselves, and by proxy, others that they should be seen as gods because of said dragons. Once the rider is stripped of that dragon or any some cases does not have one yet, they are isolated or seen as less targaryen. Regardless of how much blood they may have. I think the whole targ family, Jaehaerys with the doctrine in particular, do themselves a disfavor by focusing so much on dragons.
It’s funny you mention this sort of dynamic with the women and their dragons bc Rhaenyra and fmo reader have an interesting (imo) conversation about the privileges and disadvantages of being a dragon rider. How ephemeral power can be when you are a woman in the realm. Rhaenyra was never taught how to access power outside of her name and dragon. A great example would be how weird it was (to me) to have a woman that just ripped a baby out of her hop on a dragon to ~scare~ people. I get it was supposed to be a callback to ep 2 but like ???. It’s just funny bc Rhaenyra doesn’t know how to extend any power bc her father was too incompetent to show her (or even do it himself). In Daemon’s words “dreams didn’t make up kings, dragons did”. Which is just ironic. Rhaenyra and dany, frankly through the men in the lives, really never stood a chance. I think that’s why it is funny when people love these women but can’t even point out the clear system in the Targaryen family that in the end negative affects these women. I personally enjoy book dany, I can’t really speak on her show counterpart much. And I’m still eh about how I feel about both book and show Rhaenyra.
The whole soft power versus hard power, in this context. Because people who use hard power tactics (in this case having literal dragons) would maybe look down on those who use soft power (coercion or economic withdrawal). Fear can only take you so far especially against people who already don’t fuck with you. In general I think there are pros and cons to both ways of political strategy. Certain characters can get away on one versus other based on: gender, resources, race, age, etc

You know what I like about the king piccolo arc even though yes it was the first in a long line of Goku saving everyone at the last minute. He was still in the plot and doing shit he wasn’t like in a rejuvenating chamber or in a sick coma… or dead.
love how this ask makes it sound like goku's only ever shown up last minute to help people and every other instance he was muckin about doing something else

I really wish whatever happened in Orlando hadn’t happened. They were such a great group. Not fake like too many of the Gotham girls seem. Even when they struggled on the field, they were there for each other and they kept working together to figure it out instead of this BS that Gotham is pulling. And they were one step away from it all coming together. This year would have really been special, I think.
They were, it's a shame that they couldn't get it together last year and weren't good on the field for whatever reason. It was probably a coaching situation and it makes me wonder how they would've done under Seb Hines because clearly he's doing well with the group they have now. Obviously it's hard to know and not everything would've happened the same way probably but yeah. If they could have all stayed together one more year that would've been nice to see what would've happened with maybe a few of the new pieces they have this year since they can actually score now lol

people are drawing Steamboat Willie Mickey doing all this crazy shit and whatnot, but you could always do that. you can do that now, with current Mickey, just fine. it's fanart and it's legally protected. hell you could take Disney-drawn Mickey and put a caption about unions or whatever on it and it would still be protected under free speech and sometimes even parody law.
what is special about public domain is that you can SELL him. you could take a screenshot and sell it on a tshirt. you can use him to advertise your plumbing business. people have already uploaded and monetized the original film.
you could always have Mickey say what you want, but now you can profit off it.

I just started reading and was catching up till the breakup between Namjoon and Kaya. Maybe I'm alone in this but I honestly think Kaya isn't ready for the high society high profile wives-and-girlfriends life.
Her relationship with Namjoon has been more of him escaping the life he leads, rather than her going hand in hand with him on it... so it feels like they were never meant to last.
Like a Before Sunrise kind of thing - eventually real life slaps them in the face
That’s a really good point - and you’re not wrong. Their relationship hasn’t ever been tested by external factors like this before and you’ve kind of the hit the nail on the head as to why Namjoon feels like the break-in is his fault. While he hasn’t quite articulated it to her in so many words, part of him does feel like he should have been prepared for something like this and prepared her for something like this.
Even he knows the actual break-in is not his fault, but the fact that it added to her already-existing trauma because it came out of nowhere is something that’s haunting him. In his mind, he dropped the ball because while he integrated seamlessly into her world and enjoyed the relative anonymity and normality of it, he never helped her do the same and now it’s sort of snowballed out of his control.
Whether or not this is a valid thought process and whether she would agree with him (if he ever said this to her) is up for debate. But it’s a really good insight, anon ♥️

People who experience romantic and/or sexual attraction are so funny sometimes
They will ask "who's your crush?" And you will answer "i don't have one" and then it starts
"Why are you liying?", "you can trust me", "don't hide", "i don't belive you", "what?! Everyone has one come on", "hmhu it's [name] isn't it?".
in the extreme cases (mine once) they won't let you even leave the conversation and place it started
And so you lie
And when if "confession" comes from "name" and you reject it every single persson who made you lie will be angry.
Honey. Why the fuck are you angry? You decided a lie is more realistic than reality
