I need more people theorizing about that deal fukazawa made with the port mafia to send an Ada member to their side.

I could be writing all this then someone will tell me”oh the deal was terminated and won’t even happen,” but I’ll try and write out my theory, but I suck at putting my thoughts together.

Tanizaki is the only choice for joining the pm

I mean he offered to do this

he had also proven to High ranking mafia officials that

He will Kill if necessary or instructed

is loyal

he will do whatever it takes for those he loves

They can use his “sister” as a leverage If he wants to leave

He also has the most fit ability for the PM. Everyone in the agency has good abilities but nothing they can do without like

Kenji-yes he is strong but so is chuuya. Kunikida- yea he can materialize weapons but several members are weapons themselves and the PM has a fuck Ton of guns

and it’s said by an executive of the mafia he has an ability made for assassination

Tanizaki is perfect for spy missions not only for his ability but he is also proven to be a pretty convincing actor especially during

Atsushi’s entrance exam and

And when facing down the port mafia.

Putting him in the PM could also make way for some backstory not only on Tanizaki but Naomi as well.

We’re still not sure if these two are actually siblings or not I mean

These two have nothing in common when it comes to looks I know siblings don’t look exactly alike but still.

I wanna see more talk about this PM thing and more fan stuff on this.

Alright enough about Tanizaki. Let’s talk about Naomi.

Plot twist I’d want to see: Mori does pick Tanizaki for the transfer, but he wants Naomi more than he wants Tanizaki (let’s be real, he picks either of the siblings and he’ll get both).

Underrated BSD fact is that Naomi is much smarter than anyone gives her credit for, apparently she’s been taught strategy by Dazai? She’d be a better detective than Tanizaki if she had an ability? She correctly deduced that her pet cat is actually a superpowered ability user with limited evidence?

A capable assassin is a nice bonus, sure, but what Mori has really wanted more than anything is for Dazai to come back, and if he can’t convince Dazai, then the logical conclusion is to nab his “pupil” (of sorts). After reading about Naomi’s namesake, I absolutely believe that it would make sense for her to be capable of scheming and manipulation on the same level as Dazai.

There's something more going on with the Tanizaki siblings.

When I first watched the show I thought their weird pseudo-incest was just gross anime humor, but after reading/watching as much as I have its clear bsd isn't really like that.

I can't think of many examples of bsd being typical anime gross for no reason, even with Mori, its used to hammer home just how disgusting of a person he is and make him seem even more sinister.

Also its not just some background detail, its central to Junichiro's character and a lot of effort is put into showing that. When he's not around Naomi he acts nervous and shy but still kind and just seems like a normal guy.

however the moment Naomi is put in any kind of danger he switches completely, turning into someone so sinister that even mafia enforcers are shocked by his blood lust.

This isn't just determination to protect his family, its an overwhelming urge to destroy everything that might be a threat to her.

Naomi herself is also interesting, when she's not around or talking about her brother, she's clever, kind and determined. she keeps a cool head when her and Haruno are being chased by the guild and even is able to outwit them a few times, she also picks up on Steinbeck's love for his sister and immediate try's to manipulate him into letting them goby exploiting it.

She takes a lot after Dazai, using observation and manipulation. in The Untold Origins light novel they even work together. I wish we got to see more of this side of her, but the moment she's around her brother she is completely fixated on him in a really creepy way.

They're almost defiantly not related by blood, Atsushi even points out that they look nothing alike, they also are heavily implied to be sleeping together which makes the whole pretending to be siblings thing even weirder.

I don't really have a conclusion here but I just wanted to put all the evidence in one place.

maybe Naomi is a manifestation of Tanizakis skill since we have seen him create solid holograms before. (like when Hirotsu was able to touch one and activate his ability) so maybe she is a secret aspect of his skill.

I have some theories about the Tanizaki siblings.

As far as we know, they have a weird relationship, but we don't know anything.

So here is my main theory :

Their parents died when they were young. So Junichiro became Naomi's mother, father and brother figure. She became his only family, his only reason for living when they were just children. Wich explain why he's so protective over her. She's the only person he has.

And for Naomi, she probably has Oedipus syndrome. For those who don't know, it's when children say they will marry their parents/sisters/cousins or someone in the family because they love them, but not in a romantic way but because they mostly don't know what love is. They're like "My dad is the strongest, I'm gonna marry him" or things like that. And since Junichiro is the only person who acted like her brother, mother, and father she acted this way towards him. Now, she's 15 and he's 18. We already saw that Naomi is actually a smart and brave girl. And Junichiro is more "confident" without her. But when they're together, Naomi probably acts like a child again, because she wants to feel like it again.

I wish they can have a character development.
