I’ve always loved astrology since I was in high school. And it started out with zodiacs/horoscopes and at the time I was like 10 years old. But I learned to get deep into it when I was 18 and this year I’m turning 28. So hurray! It’s been almost 18 years now. (My Saturn return is approaching btw, which is next year 😂😭😂)

OKAY. RWRB MOVIE REVIEW.

(Disclaimer that these are all only my opinions)

I imagined Philip as looking more like Philza Minecraft, to be completely honest. So tell me why they made him kinda..???

THEY FUCKED UP HIS CHARACTERIZATION (imo). In the book, he’s just a victim of what he was born into as well. He’s rigid & kinda a dick because it was what he was taught to be to survive, the movie completely took that away, giving him literally two scenes.

AND THEN THEY GIVE GOOD GRACE TO THE KING? Bro. No. Stop it.

I feel as though they were afraid to criticize the British monarchy too hard, which is why they gave the king the good grace they did (plus other changes done, I don’t think they included the cliticization of the British Museum stealing all those artifacts either)

Frothing at the mouth over the fact they not only took away Luna, but completely got rid of the fucking sex abuse scandal in favor of a jealousy plot. Explodes you with my mind.

Going back to my point above that one, I feel they might not have wanted to add that seeing how many Richards are out there. Can’t fan too many flames, huh?

They also gave Bea way less screen time, & took away the whole “Powder Princess” thing, I think the way they talked about their dad passing & how it effects the family was kind of cheap.

AND they fucked up Henry’s moms characterization. She just straight up wasn’t in it, only mentioned, & in a negative light. Again, they really didn’t give the dad passing the attention it deserved.

The beginning went by pretty damn fast. But in all fairness for that & I suppose a lot of points, the movies already two hours long with all that missing, so I suppose I can give some leniency on some of these points.

June obviously wasn’t there either, but it at least doesn’t feel like anybody’s missing. I guess they managed the Nora & June merge well. THEY DID NOT MANAGE THE LIAM & LUNA MERGE WELL.

Seriously fuck them for taking away Luna & subsequently his character arc

THEY UN-DIVORCED ELLEN & OSCAR. I UNDERSTAND IT WOULD HAVE ADDED A LOT OF SCREEN TIME THEY DIDN’T HAVE BUT COME ON.

Do love all the terms of endearment Henry uses, honestly don’t remember if that’s in the book or not.

Can we circle back around to how attractive Philip is. Sorry who said that.

I like the way they handled the cake scene better, definitely feels more realistic.

Admittedly also kinda happy the Henry magazine photo thing wasn’t added, kind of made me cringe reading about it lmao

Is there a copy right reason they couldn’t include Henry being a Star Wars fan? If they just simply choose not to then I am Disappointed.

Really liked how they did the phone calls, with them appearing in front & them as though they’re in the same room, together. Great touch.

Edit to add this bullet point because it’s really important to me. Alex says he’s bisexual, Henry says he’s gay. Ellen asks if Alex is gay, fluid, bi, pan. Ellen references transgender people. They talk about the LGBT+ community. They say all these words, they don’t whisper them, or talk around them. They say them loud & clear as day. Idk, this just makes me really happy because of how often you’ll see people talk around these words like they’re bad or dirty words (yes I’m aware this is a movie where they have gay sex multiple times on screen but it’s still important to me shut up)

FINAL THOUGHTS.

It was alright. I don’t regret watching it. It was entertaining, but admittedly not the type of movie I’d usually watch, so I think other people could enjoy it way more then I did. But I definitely still enjoyed it despite all my criticisms.

Definitely not as good as the book, but not bad at all. I’d say it’s absolutely worth the watch.

I’m sure you can also find posts that can better articulate why this movie is so groundbreaking & important as well, which is something I didn’t particularly touch on in this post.

and even that isn't universal bc some people do change radically throughout their lives depending on what they experience, but that's the entire point--you cannot judge someone else's relationship without intimate details which you are unlikely to be provided unless they overshare or you are intimately acquainted with one or both parties.

And I don't think Billy and Stu loved each other in the traditional sense of the word. I ship Stuilly but it's just as fucked up as they are. I think Stu worshipped Billy to an extent bc Billy was the one that fulfilled his fantasies. Billy honestly used Stu imo. He purposely was going to use him as a scape goat if Neil failed. But I also think Billy probably did secretly like Stu as a friend and something more like love but just couldn't admit it, not even to himself.

Like I said. Fucked up. I don't think they were lovers in the secretly in love way as much as they both used and experimented with one another and it was slowly turning to the closest thing to caring either one could feel but the murder outweighed that. That's just my hc tho.

Bc honestly sometimes it just eats me up inside

- they're hanging out as guy friends and bros but then what they thought they could do as a normal encounter ends up registering a bit differently, e.g. they watch porn together and it gets weird rather than they being confident theough to the end, they kiss for fun and for the sensory input but it ends up feeling like a bit more than that, they take a sensual bath and the line between metairony and genuinity gets crossed, they make out, Goten sticks his tongue in Trunks's ear and Trunks actually likes it, etc etc

- they dont see each other for a while (incidentally, they have a falling out, trunks goes into space in GT, etc) and when they reconnect they are very happy to see each other and the consummate (sorry to use that word twice in the same post) affection has no reason to limit itself to the accepted conventions of platonic intimacy. But this is a Truten post so they fall in love as well

- maybe not romantic maybe not sexual but they develop a sensual relationship. I can see that . That's pretty much what I've been saying. Sensual attraction. Goten does love to bite ppl that's true

- The idea that one of them is Not Straight and has some sort of attraction for the other and it probably goes unrecognized for years. Breaks my heart. Then they fall in love ❤

But if Trunks were to express any of this in words then Goten would be like "Trunks what the fuck are you talking about." And honestly yeah that was some weird shit to say tbh. Trunks isnt a sensory seeker in the same way but he does have a certain relationship with the senses (his sense of smell is very particular and sensitive I think for example) (it's the family autism) (Tarble is the same way btw) and having been reared alongside Goten has only made that more true. But Goten doesn't think of it like that and he honestly finds fulfillment in sensory adventures. He loves to be able to do this. And he loves being helpful tbh. Hes glad that Trunks is willing to try to relax and let him do this. Like honestly "dont worry abt nothing" type of relaxation. Align-your-chakras-and-come-back-to-yourself relaxation. The one thing tho is that Goten has put on some "mood music" that is Rob Zombie playing on low. But then they fall in love anyway

And literally Goten is the one who keeps putting his mouth on his but he keeps reeling back and with genuine fear saying "DUDE STOP TRYING TO KISS ME! IM JUST TRYING TO LICK YOUR BRACES.." and Trunks is literally not doing anything hes just trying to keep his eyes on his video game and hes angry about this. And Goten keeps kissing him anyway. I'm sorry this was suppsoed to be a serious post let me try again. Ok how about Goten is self-assured in this and keeps trying to tempt him with gummy worms and the such and he knows on some level that hes being funny but honestly he doesnt know what this is doing to his buddy Trunks. Like this is the most action thag Trunks has ever had and idk hes saving face but sometimes he plants bags of gummy worms where Goten will see them just to put the idea in his head. And he does this with shameful and desperate fervor. And he plays it so cool and is like "Goten that is SICK I'm not gonna let you do that again.." and he means it and the disgust is real. But on some level he craves the intimacy of having someone lick his braces. It's fucked up

The funniest thing about the Pedri thing with that girl at the hotel is how literally BLUNT it is. First of all, imagining both of them standing next to each other makes me laugh uncontrollably because she's a literal definition (I'm so sorry for all people politically correct people here) of a hooker. I'm so so sorry but she does look like a girly who hunts for someone with any kind of fame and doesn't think twice about going to bed with them, and the fact that they meet in a hotel while Pedri has a big ass house is just a nail in the coffin.

Probably ideas that were put upon you by religious ideas of sex or from elders who were the same way, hope you grow out of it. It's always bothered me how edelstans keep trying to say that she's actually a lesbian and erase the fact that she still has an s support with m!byleth. I understand wanting representation, but I think it's fucked up cause she *is* representation... for bi people. It's one thing to have a headcanon, but it's another thing to push your headcanon as.. canon. And by pushing the idea that she's only into women, you're just erasing her canon bisexuality.

They said Rhea doesn't count as bi because she's "not gay enough", which is such a horrible take. Therefore Rhea is straight and doesn't count! But Edel is good because she was "written as a lesbian" (source: just trust me bro) and she only has an s support with male byleth to appeal to male gamers. Which overall implies that Rhea (canonically bi) is actually straight because she doesn't "feel" gay and Edel (also canonically bi) is actually a lesbian because she apparently isn't interested in men enough to be bi. It's way too reminiscent of typical bi erasure takes imo.

Idk, I'm probably projecting my own experiences with biphobia. But whenever Edelgard's sexuality starts getting brought up to prove why her "haters" are bad, it's usually accompanied by bad takes. I wish edelstans would stop with the bi erasure because being bi doesn't make you less lgbtq... Sorry for ranting 🥲

Like, there's a pretty clear difference between acknowledging that some characters in 3H definitely have some subtext to them that heavily imply same-sex attraction even without romancing a same-sex Byleth (like I said before, Dimitri and Petra are pretty good examples of this, because both have at least one ending with someone of the same gender that either heavily implies or outright states that they love that person), and, well. Completely dismissing a character's literal canon sexuality because you didn't "feel" any gayness from them.

Like, okay, fine, get rid of Byleth, go ahead: that leaves Catherine for Rhea in AM/SS and all of Edelgard's endings with men that have her be in a happy relationship with them. Almost like they're two bi women and thus can happily live their lives with both men and women as their partners.

And let's not forget that the comments of that post also included Mercedes into someone who doesn't feel "bi enough to be bi." Despite her flirting with fem!Byleth and outright saying that she loves Annette (at least in their JPN supports). So that's actually three characters who've had their canonical bisexuality erased in favor of either "well they're basically straight" or "Edelgard is totally a lesbian." Which is uh. Not cool

I fucking hate maps and nomaps idc that it’s “ableism” it honestly isn’t in my mind because the DSM will change in another 14, 30, 50 fucking years from now, drastically might I add, and I don’t fucking support creeps and disgusting people like MAPS (adults attracted to children.)

I used to talk to NOMAPS/MAPS online all the time when I was a minor/teenager (with my age in my bio) and mentioning it too, and they were like NOMAP PRIDE/Yayyyy fucking children pride yayyy!!! And trying to persuade me to accept them and I honestly felt groomed as fuck by them. They were persuading me that all MAPS are good people and they don’t do harm but some were posting drawings of CP and talking about fantasizing fucking children or animals all the time… that’s a little bit too far?? Like all the NOMAPS had pride flags and trued to ruin the queer community like wtf?? This was before the massive sweep Tumblr staff did when they cleaned out the pxrn and made tags like that unable to get through anymore. So this was when tumblr still had a lot of child sex rings going on. Hmm wonder who did it?

I came across one I scrolled by and read quick that said he hates even going to the store because he will inevitably see children and he fantasized about them while he’s in there and I’m like???? Um, yeah stay out of stores forever then bro… idk maybe I’m an asshole or some shit (DNI : MAPS) lol

Watching community. On the 4tb season rn. Just wanted to put down some of my observations. The pilot characterisation is drastically different compared to the later seasons. Abed is functioning(he can read time, when later on he can't??? Tf??), but special quirky funny smart kinda way. Idk he seemed so much more mature compared to the later seasons. Dreamatorium, and all his schizo tendencies infantanlised him too much. Troy was the American football start still hung up about his high school life, young cool dumb and kinda stereotypically normal. He was rooted in reality, and could actually be a real person. But then they turned him into the other schizo sheep for their rainman duo. Dumbed him down and made him into a different character. Annie was supposed to be the young naive insecure girl unsure of sex...?ish. Like sheltered and unsure. She was worried about her social standing, popularity and shit. Shallow stuff, but again, real and relatable. Then she turned into... Bruh I don't even know. I guess one can argue that she grew up, and I guess Ill acclet that. She ok if guess, believable character growth that I honestly don't mind. Britta was smart, cold, strong, SMART OK?! she was independent and knew her worth. She was cooooollll as a cucumber. Like. What happened??😭😭😭😭 They made her so WEIRD WTF. Like she was sexy and cool bro, then she became dependent on guys(blade... Like, NAHHHH)and became dumb as shit. What the fuck, they did her so dirty, like frrrr lobotomised her. Like she was the girl you were intimidated of, but was still attracted to, and knew you had to put in a lot of effort into charming, but then she became some brain-dead retard. LMAOOO. Not exactly complaining about all of these changes btw, just kinda confused and a little sad. But wtv. Shirley was kinda the same. And Pierce too. Made him dumber tho, but maybe that's cuz he's just getting older and more senile. Idk, he's kinda funny.😭😭idk why ppl hate him so much, (yeah, he's homophobic, annoying asf, dumb, old, racist, everythingphobic, but that's funny bro, grow a thicker skin, Jesus fuck. Just cause your funny little show is full of cannon rainmans and rupauls, you don't get to filter out the guy.) think he's needed in the dynamic and he adds the flavour. Ppls shouldn't excluded him from their fanarts and stupid fanon shit I've been seeing. Idk, I think he's part of the group, they clearly care for him, and he's an important part, so idk. I guess ppl just seeing and selectively talking about what they want to see kind of pisses me off. But also, it's just a show, so I really shouldn't be so pressed, it's really not that deep. Ppl can do whatever they want, idc, and even if I did, no one else does. So. Jeff. Side note, he can stab me, beat me, gaslight me, manipulate me, hurt me, punch me, kick me, and I wouldn't mind. He cute asf.😭😭 And he was so cool and smart and aloof in the beginning. Twisting your words around like THAT. SO COOL. I have a thing for smart white guys with a little scruff and windblown hair. (House, and Lucifer spn, etc...) But yeah, he gets kind of lame later on. I hate that he starts having a heart and CARING for the ppl around him. Like....Ew....no. I wanted him to go back to being a cool heartless lawyer who cares about superficial things and thrives with other soulless bastards. Mmmm. Now that's sexy. Idk, he got so.... Lame. Lame lame lame. Not cool. No. Got less smart too. Hmmmm. There might be a direct correlation between coolness and intelligence.

Also, the banter of the show was smart and interesting and intricate and funny as hell. I'm not saying it still isn't(at least in season 4), but I feel like they put in a little less effort. The pilot was so good, so many iconic moments in ONE episode, so many good jokes I got pulled in LITERALLY the first scene. That's how good and consistent the jokes were.

Overall, I like what I'm seeing, really really funny show, so much fucking better than SUPERNATURAL. YES, IM STILL PISSED I WASTED SO MUCH TIME ON THAT HOT PILE OF GARBAGE. I love how much reference they put in there, the cinematography, filming styles, stylistic choices..... SOOOOOOO GOOODDD. I could cum, I love shows that do this type of shit. Documentary one ep, heist format, law and order, courtroom style drama, who dunnits, all so funny and Samer, they way they rewrite all these tropes to fit into a fucking COMMUNITY COLLEGE SETTING. WTFFF SO GOOD. I give it, so far at least, a 8.5/10. Yay.
