i hate golden child Dick Grayson. everyone ignores how ANGRY this kid actually was. We rarely get accurate dick grayson, all the teen titans shows have been so off on his personality (you cannot tell me they accidentally made the character tim and realised halfway through wrong robin) and the fandom sees him as "oh everyone finds him attractive + he's Bruce's perfect angel and Jason hates him because of that"
no he literally killed the joker.
why do we skim over that he KILLED THE JOKER. He didn't even know Jason; bruce was his father and he not only refused to kill the joker, interfered when someone else tried to but hit jason in the same way after he came back. His SON. But dick felt so strongly about a kid he regretted not getting close to that he killed a man.
and then if you think that was a one off
in that panel where he fully BEATS Bruce's ass in gotham war? served. ate.
people dumb him down way too often like he wasn't the first robin. you cannot out do the doer so they gotta drag him down to bring others up.
not to mention the fanon portrayal ignores the trauma he has from liu, mirage and tarantula. it looks at that and goes "ok! cool but he IS a flirt :3" he isn't allowed to grieve in the comics either because SOMEBODY (devin) won't let him because he "didn't say no"
and give jason his own friends DC please stop giving him handmedowns he deserves more (i do love him and roy i just wish they also maintained the roy dick friendship because it's usually one or the other)

Speaking of racist authors who's scalp I want decorating my home, but Rowling literally keeps pulling that thing where she backtracks the alleged meaning & intentions of her own work by saying "well actually I meant THIS the whole time" in the books to try make it look more politically "savvy" (in her mind) or steeped with meaning than it actually is, because she is literally too stupid and short sighted to actually write those things, & usually its also to try get out of some sort of criticism, & she's done this at least 3 times.
Like first was the whole "Gandalf is gay" shtick when this was her shallow, lazy attempt at trying to look "diverse". Second time was when she was like "well actually Hermione wasn't WHITE, I think she was Black" which, absolutely wasn't true considering she describes all her Black characters as being "tall" and athletic (which, Hermione is not) and she would've given her a stupid, obviously racist name if she always intended this.
But the most recent time was her allegeding that she based the death eaters off of trans activists? This obviously isn't true since she's already repeatedly talked about the specifically nazi & fash influence on the death eaters, and then when people critisized her for her antisemitism & lack of logic on how the death eaters operate, she attempted to "prove" this wrong by tweeting about visiting the auschwitz memorial museum (in relation to, again, it's specific influence on death deaters) to try insist she was sensitive to what she was referencing. If she intended this from the beginning, she would've brought attention to it because she literally just so stupid & knows it but tries to "prove" otherwise. So the whole thing example NOW is just her appealing to her fash t/erf clown crew to try seem more intelligent than she is.

Perfection
It takes a lot of work to remove personhood. Individuality is not easily erased. Perfection is not easily attained.
First comes the mental conditioning. The most important part.
It begins like a sledgehammer. It pounds and pounds and pounds into the brain, the soul, the self. Spirals, subliminals, forced orgasm after orgasm blasting away all those pesky thoughts, flattening the ground.
Then, once what existed once is completely destroyed, comes the more delicate work.
Any idiot can destroy. It takes an artist to create.
Exchange the metaphorical sledgehammer for a scalpel, or a chisel. The subject is slowly sculpted, carved, shaped. New thought processes, priorities, conditioning. The forced orgasms become edging, guiding the subject to their new, perfect existence.

In the final stage, the actual surgery begins. The metaphorical scalpel is swapped for a real one. Weapons implanted, cybernetic shunts installed. The surgeon's skilled, patient hand implementing what will define the subject.
And now, the final product.
A perfect combat doll. Sleek and unstoppable. Powerful muscles, able to strike like a cobra. Face replaced by a smooth, black visor. Leather and latex. One arm a wicked blade, sharpened to an atomic thickness. The other hand a claw, for finer work. Feet replaced by blades, yet it balances on them with pinpoint accuracy, never wobbling or wavering. A long, metal, scorpionlike tail, prehensile and deadly.
Perfection.
It's handler shows it a photograph. It leans in, examining it closely.
The photo is of a mousey young woman. Long, brown hair. Round, coke-bottle-thick glasses. A skinny frame. Loose, baggy clothes. An uncertain, crooked smile. The kind of girl who couldn't hurt a fly if she wanted to.
Imperfect. Nothing like the combat doll. No resemblance between the two.
The handler asks the combat doll if if recognizes the human.
The doll does not. Should it? Is the human it's new target?
The handler shakes their head. No, the human is not important. Think nothing of it.
"Understood." And the combat doll does not think of the human any further, or ever again.
Instead, it's handler clicks a small flash drive into the port on the doll's head. Information pours into the doll's hard drive consciousness about its new target.
Behind it's visor, unseen, the doll grins ferally. Its cock is already stiffening behind its flexible armor at the thought of the hunt, of so perfectly chasing down and flaying its target.
Of perfection. Just as a combat doll should be.

Ok so Wendell is hands down the most musically inclined. He's no pro, but he loooooves to sing and dance and he's even low key an actor -- not a STELLAR one but he's good at personas and improv as a TV fella.
In the Sing AU he's a reporter who sniffs out a ton of Buster's drama and is there On The Scene with record time to see What Went Wrong, but the more they interact the more Buster goes "hey this guy's a little distractible. Here's a silly distraction! Wait He's Not Terrible, Maybe I Can Work With That---"

Ethan isn't much of a performer but Wendell is teaching her to dance! Her voice is too little to sing/project much but sometimes she mumbles along. She's pretty adaptable and can boogie to anything
Sing AU she sticks around the theatre troupe for Detective Work and ends up accidentally getting roped into a couple musical numbers for fun. The cast is encouraging somebody on a down day so they play a funky song and while she's walking past Gunter grabs her sleeve and pulls her into a flash mob and she just rolls with it kinda thing :^)
Simon... probably prefers quieter things/instrumentals. He has nothing against any particular music but he definitely would rather be able to Hear What's Going On Around Him for. reasons

Bound two of my favourite (Stucky) fanfics by @brainless-scarecrow! Thank you for letting me bind them.
I tried my hand at some (fake) leather and hot foiling. Really happy with the pineapple and the art on the back, I should’ve gone with a little bigger font for the spine to increase the readability. Also experimented with some spine material, next time I’m gonna try something different to get some crisper edges on the top and bottom. I even did the headbands in pineapple colours!
Overall really chuffed with the result (I don’t think I’ve managed to cut the edges of my text block this straight and neat so far)!
