The Brazilians surrounding F1 are bourgeois trash.

Most of them don't even live here and stay in Europe enjoying the countries that have been responsible for all the pillaging and destruction of their home land. I just want everyone to know that whoever comes out in support of B*lsonaro is excusing an insane record of human rights violations, of destruction of the Amazon rainforest, of willingness to let over 650.000 Brazilians die during covid ON PURPOSE, of usurping the powers of the state to keep himself in power by taking the money and distributing among his political supporters all while cutting funding for healthcare and education (yes, even during the pandemic) to the point where federal universities are nearly shutting down, putting the country in such a financial mess that 33 million ppl are in a state of food insecurity and over 40 million are underemployed or unemployed.

Any support to B*lsonaro is a direct message that their social status is more important than poor working people's lives. There is NO justification for not voting for Lula and PT (Worker's Party)

I just recommended this book on a reblog, but I feel like it deserves its own post. So here it is.

Have you been interested in reading books from latine countries? How about books by indigenous people that focus on their worldview? What about anti capitalist books that focus on nature and the damage the capitalistic worldview has made to our world and our minds?

I urge you to engage in meaningful contemporary reading with this short book that invites us to view nature and humanity in a "new" way. This book is more an invitation to think on how we think about nature than actually practical ideas to postpone the end of the world, but it is very good to inspire self reflection.

Synopsis stolen from Amazon:

Indigenous peoples have faced the end of the world before. Now, humankind is on a collective march towards the abyss. Global pandemics, extreme weather, and massive wildfires define this era many now call the Anthropocene.

From Brazil comes Ailton Krenak, renowned Indigenous activist and leader, who demonstrates that our current environmental crisis is rooted in society's flawed concept of "humanity" -- that human beings are superior to other forms of nature and are justified in exploiting it as we please.

To stop environmental disaster, Krenak argues that we must reject the homogenizing effect of this perspective and embrace a new form of "dreaming" that allows us to regain our place within nature. In Ideas to Postpone the End of the World, he shows us the way.

Without memory we are nothing. Without remembering history we allow these fascists to rise, again and again.

We HAVE to remember.

For our brother and sisters, for our friends that continue fighting for the working class.

Fascism is the emergency button of capitalists.

When working class people peacefully protest for their rights of living and breathing in a fair society we get beaten, shot at by police, killed and framed as criminals.

Today, January 8th 2023, terrorists aiming to take over Brasil's capitol and strike a coup against a democratically elected leftist government were able to cruise past police. Officers didn't shoot at them. They just laughed, took pictures, and allowed them to invade and destroy the public buildings.

No amnesty for these terrorists.

We cannot forget. We will not forget.
