Ok so if Raine went to Saint Epidurme as a kid

And while we don’t have confirmation, we can assume Adrian did as well (I mean look at him and tell me this guy was not private school kid)

Then that would mean these two

OK, I'ma say it.
I am kind of sick of how the fandom and even the show recast Boscha as the main mastermind behind Willow being bullied and even has seemingly had this extended to Boscha being the one running the mean girls gang. With fandom going even further with her friends needing to avoid her.
Hear me out.
Willow's bully in season 1 is Amity, its Amity who seeks her out before school to make her miserable, its Amity who tries to undermine her success, its Amity who ends up in a rivalry with Luz because of the Willow situation. Boscha was mostly just there and kind of a dick to Willow and others by proximity, she had no particular focus on her however.
Adding to that, Amity was clearly the queen bee in these scenarios, others didn't tell her what to do she told them and they listened. So much so that even when she turned on them they didn't try to get back at her but went against Luz instead.
I would also add, when Boscha did show an interest in targeting Willow it was specifically because she considered her a threat to her own position in the social hierarchy. It was not part of some longstanding thing.
Similarly, Boscha's own position in that regard is extremely lose given Amity is clearly the power player, but also cos Boscha could get ousted by King of all beings and need to do something wildly dangerous to regain her position.
But it seems like the longer the show went on, the more the bully gang was framed as her creation, under her control and that Willow's suffering was by her design more than anyone else's.
& the fandom seems to have taken that and made it so she's even an antagonist to her fellow bullies to the point where they want to escape her influence. Essentially woobifying them in favor of demonizing Boscha
Don't get me wrong, Boscha is a gigantic asshole and a bully.
She's just one of several however, rather than the only one at the school making everyone else bow down. She was Amity's second & her own position of nominal leadership was anything but stable, & Willow was not her target.
Also, I am aware that their planned seasons getting cut short may have led to this. IE, streamlining and simplifying Willow & Amity's issues and history to resolve it more easily but still, nettled.

So these two. I'm gonna talk about them, assuming they are Boscha's parents
Even my personal interpretation on Boscha's moms is messy lmao, I can't decide if I want them to be caring but a little too much (pushing too hard and overwhelming but do care for their daughter) or be like the Blights where one is like that (but deeply uncaring) and the other is sorta laid back.
We only know one of them was competitive with Odalia in school (I'm going with light pink three eyes given her general air of confidence), but due to whatever happening, things never really panned out, and so now she lives vicariously through Boscha. Mom 2 we know nothing about but she could parallel Willow, or Skara?? That's at least the popular interpretation
Tumblr media
There's so many ways I could write these two and I can never decide how 💀 but I do wanna know, if anyone else here writes stuff with them involved at all or just has headcanons in general, how yall interpret them
(also apparently one of them had a canon name?? If anyone knows abt that please tell me)

Probably unpopular opinion but I think that if it wasn't for Lumity development and excuse to make football star X random girl fics or whatever that trope is called Wing it Like Witches would probably be greatly disliked, its kinda generic and barely does anything for the overall story, not to include that Boscha is the single most wasted/annoying character in the entire show, she's just the boring bully character and that's it
Tumblr media
This bitch did irreparable damage to the shipping and fanfics in the fandom by creating the most toxic and horrendous ship they could ever imagine and im glad that Willow got a popular couple that isn't shit

Between Rings and Flowers
She’d marry Amity anywhere and anytime. At 3 am in an alley, rats running between their feet and a dumpster fire in the background included. Though, she would much prefer the backyard of the Owl House decorated with flowers from the Human Realm and with all her friends and family. --- Amity and Luz are getting married! Lots of shenanigans ensue and their big day promises to be memorable when Luz decides to make the slightest changes to their program.
Hey guys!
I decided to write some fluffy goodness so I can get back from all the angst I've written until now xD Okay, Noble Pursuit is pretty fluffy, still, but it's also to counter the mean canon rn wheeze I'm still working on Noble Pursuit and Built to Last, not to worry! And I'll be writing the aus I've been promising with the last chapter I uploaded, so be looking out for updates from my account! Have a great day or night, whenever you are and read you soon again! I'm thrilled over every single comment I receive! <3

---
There were many easy things about marrying.
Especially if you had a fiancé who was very good at organizing and a family backing you up. Yes, for Luz, it had been very easy to prepare for this wedding. She had gone along with Amity to choose a location, decorations, the color scheme for their wedding, the bridesmaids and the other bridesmaids, and it had gone smoothly.
Amity had gone dress shopping with Willow, Boscha, and Emira while Luz had been out getting fitted suits with Gus, Hunter, and Edric. They had made sure the cake was ordered and that they’d practice dancing and that dinner would be ready and to have the schedule figured out and that everything around the evening would be running smoothly.
For Luz it had honestly just been a few months of shopping, cake tasting, having a lot of fun at dance lessons, and making sure Amity wouldn’t stress too much.
Before she had thought about any kind of commitment, she hadn’t cared what color the napkins were or where the location should be, or whether to offer bottled drinks or go all the way and hire a bartender.
She still hadn’t cared up until she had put that ring on Amity’s finger and thus, started the wedding planning. But Amity cared and with that, Luz had felt the strong urge to back her soon-to-be wife up in every aspect of wedding planning there was. Even if that sometimes meant giving an answer she didn’t care for just so Amity wouldn’t have to stress over deciding on her own.
Questions like, would they marry in the morning or afternoon?
Amity had stressed about listing the pros and cons of both options so much that Luz had just decided on having a ceremony in the afternoon so Amity could start planning around her choice. Even if it didn’t matter to her. She’d marry Amity anywhere and anytime. At 3 am in an alley, rats running between their feet and a dumpster fire in the background included.
Though, she would much prefer the backyard of the Owl House decorated with flowers from the Human Realm and with all her friends and family.
But the closer the wedding had come, and the more Luz had realized that this was actually happening, she had begun stressing. Not in the bad sense, of course. Luz would never stress about her wedding in a bad way!
Especially not when the feeling of nervousness settled in her stomach, or if her hands got clammy, or if she was looking at her fitted suit in the dresser that she had gotten together with Gus, Hunter, and Edric, knowing the next time she would be wearing this suit would be when she would be standing at the altar, waiting for Amity to be walked up the aisle. No, actually she didn’t know what her fiancé had planned for them or the ceremony. She thought she had said something about walking up the aisle together?
Oh god, Luz was gonna throw up.
She had forgotten what was going to happen.
No, she had not, she knew the plan. Why was it so warm in here?
She was just telling herself that she didn’t know anymore what the plan was when clearly, she knew Amity and her were gonna walk up the aisle to the altar together, where they would-… Where was her tie?!
Now frantically searching through the closet in her old room, Luz felt sweat beading on her forehead and her breath quickening. This was a disaster, she had misplaced the tie and-…
Wait, her suit didn’t have a tie.
Why was she so goddamn nervous all of a sudden?
Dropping on the bed to calm her nerves, Luz let out a big sigh and rubbed her face. She would be fine. There was going to be the ceremony, there was going to be a lot of joy today and she would not be panicking. This was not going to be ruined by this suddenly getting to her nerves.
Luz breathed for a while, thinking back to how much fun the preparations had been and how helpful everyone had been. Willow and her Mama had picked out and ordered flowers from the human realm, Edric and Emira had helped prepare the Owl House’s backyard together with Hooty and Eda, Gus had put together all the wedding gifts, and Boscha and her gang had made sure the buffet and the cake was ready by the time they needed it to be.
Even King had helped out, setting up the location with the twins, making sure every guest had their invitation, and helping calm Eda’s nerves.
Speaking of the devil, a commotion in front of her door made her look up and she quickly shook out her hands, standing up to open the door. All her siblings, Hunter, Vee, and King, were standing in front of the door, her brothers looking like they were just about to start a fight. Before she could comment on that, Vee stepped past them and smiled, leading her back inside.
“Hey, Luz! We just wanted to check up on you.”, she cheerily said and Luz was relieved to see both Hunter and King were following, closing the door.
“I’m good, thanks… Hey, I thought you wanted to go in your true form?”, she only now realized her sister was half transformed, looking similar to Luz herself just with blue eyes and her ears sticking out of the brown hair, sporting a few spots on the skin.
Vee chuckled and shrugged, patting her back as they sat down on the bed’s edge.
“Well, I figured I didn’t want to stand out too much. I’ve lived fifteen years in this form now, I’ve practically adopted it as my own now. And the human clothes are fancy, I wanted to wear them.”
Luz grinned as she recognized the dress Amity’s bridesmaids wore, just in another color than them.
“You could wear that in your basilisk form, too.”, she remarked but as long as Vee felt comfortable, she’d be happy with any form she chose. Her sister shrugged with a smile, then Hunter piped up.
“Hey, uhm-… Everyone arrived now. Do you wanna start yet, or…?”, he awkwardly stalled, patting his thighs, before blowing a raspberry.
“Are you impatient?”, Vee cheekily asked and Hunter pulled on the neckline of his suit.
“I just don’t get why Luz gets to wear an open collar and I have to wear a tie.”, he complained and Luz shrugged, pulling on her open collar to tease him.
“One, bride’s orders. Amity color coordinated you guys and I have a different outfit.”, she smugly replied to which Hunter merely rolled his eyes, “Second, she can’t resist my super sexy collar bones and wants these bad boys out for her to see.”
King rolled his eyes as Hunter made a gagging sound, then he softly shoved Luz’s shoulder.
“You just resisted wearing a tie.”, he laughed and Luz shrugged, grinning.
“You couldn’t make me wear a tie in a million years.”
Hunter merely huffed at that, then he crossed his arms.
“Anyway, get ready. We don’t have all day.”, he tactfully hurried and Luz gulped, nodding, before rubbing her palms together.
“Y-Yeah… I suppose…”, she mumbled, looking down.
Both Vee and King immediately picked up on that and King placed a claw on her shoulder, tilting his head.
“Hey, are you alright?”, he asked and Luz shrugged, “Getting cold feet?”
Immediately looking up, Luz shook her head. Almost indignantly, she got to her feet to level her youngest sibling with a look, even if he stood two heads taller than her.
“Not at all! I wanna marry Amity so bad! But-…”, sighing, she kicked at the floor, looking out to the window, “It’s such a big thing that we both worked towards… She did more than me, but still. It-… I don’t wanna mess up is all.”
Vee almost chuckled at that, shaking her head.
“You won’t mess up, Luz. And even if you did! Everyone out there is there for you two. We love you and totally understand if you’ve got the nerves.”, she reassured and Luz found that it helped a little bit. Everyone out there knew she was prone to chaos. And nobody would really mind if she messed up a little bit. She supposed it’d make for a few funny memories in all this official stuff.
“But-… What if Amity minds? She planned it all out, what if she is upset if I mess up?”, Luz now worried, chewing her lip and looking around her siblings.
“Amity is marrying you.”, Hunter now said, giving a careless shrug, “She should know the best how dorky you are. Messing up is part of her life now and besides, she’s just as nervous as you are.”
He received a light tap from Vee at that but chose to ignore his sister being unhappy with how he worded it.
Luz, on the other hand, lit up.
“Actually, you’re right. Amity knows I’m dorky.”, she giggled to herself, “Thanks, guys. You’re really helping me out here.”
King pulled her into a big hug, pulling Vee and Hunter in as well, then the siblings parted and Luz looked up to see Gus standing in the doorway.
“Hey Luz!”, he greeted, “Wanna come down already?”
She smiled and nodded at that, following him down to the waiting crowd that had collected in Eda’s living room. Her Mama was here, as well as Boscha’s gang, even if Boscha herself was missing. As were the twins. They were probably with Amity right now, to calm her nerves as well. Eda and Lilith were just coming out of the kitchen, bickering about something, and she could even spot Amity’s parents in a corner, not really fitting in with the rest of the crowd but still nodding to her when Odalia spotted her.
It hadn’t been easy to reconcile Amity with her parents after the battle around the day of unity, but Luz had insisted she at least hear them out. Turned out that had been just the right thing to do, because Amity had discussed everything that had built up with them, and had managed to tolerate them for a few months, before somewhat mending their relationship.
She hadn’t forgotten them, especially Odalia, for her childhood, but it was a start to talk honestly as adults. In a quiet moment, Amity had confessed to Luz that she felt like her parents had only really begun understanding her when she had grown up to be an adult.
When she had decided to invite them to their wedding, it had come as a surprise for Luz, but not an unpleasant one. As much as they had done wrong before the battle, they had made up for a lot in the aftermath and had shown they were willing to work on themselves.
But for now, there was no time to dwell on her memories. Luz went around and greeted everyone, getting pats on her shoulder and heartfelt hugs from the people she was close to. Amity and she had decided not to make some sort of big reveal or to have their guests situated on their seats before the ceremony, but instead to start off with a relaxed greeting time, not to be too nervous. The more Luz talked to all her family and friends, the more relaxed she felt.
Now, the only ones missing were the other bride, her siblings, and Boscha.
And Willow, Luz noticed. She hadn’t seen her friend yet. Since Willow was Amity’s first bridesmaid, she was probably needed right now.
Finally, Boscha came back into the living room and after she let her eyes roam around for a second, she met Luz’s. With a nod, she motioned for her to follow and Luz did so, outside into the hallway to talk in relative peace.
“Okay, so, Amity’s really nervous, you know her.”, Boscha rolled her eyes and Luz chuckled, before nodding, “She wants to talk to you really quick.”
Luz shrugged and nodded, already on her way to open Lilith’s study, the room they had dedicated as Amity’s changing room for the evening before Boscha stopped her.
“Wow, hold on a second, lovebird. She doesn’t want you to see her.”, she said and Luz groaned.
“Seriously? I thought we agreed on no ridiculous- Amity?”, she called through the door, and on the other end, she heard scrambling before something smaller but definitely bulkier than she smashed against the door. A moment later, she heard Willow’s voice.
“Luz!”, she said and Luz faintly heard Amity whispering something to her, before she spoke up again, “Can you put on a blindfold? Amity wants you to-…”
Grumbling, Luz felt Boscha tapping her shoulder and indeed handing her a piece of cloth that Luz recognized as a tie before she turned back to the door.
“Aw, come on. I already saw the dress, Amity!”, she called but the door stayed shut so she gave in, “Fine! I’ll wear the-… Gimme.”
She took the tie from Boscha’s hands and just barely saw her smirking, still, before putting it on and tying a knot behind her head. She felt the door being opened and was welcomed into a room that usually smelled like books and comfortable cleanliness (something very unusual for the Owl House) but was now also accompanied by slight dust of perfume from everyone inside.
She was pushed in and Boscha followed her, closing the door behind her as she blindly felt around. Someone clasped her hands and she recognized them as Amity’s, immediately smiling. “Hey, what’s up?”, she tried to lighten the mood and her soon-to-be-wife stepped closer until she was leaning against her chest. With a big sigh, she slumped against Luz.
“… I just needed you near…”, she mumbled and she gave a chuckle, enveloping the smaller witch in a hug, pulling her in close.
“… Are you that nervous?”, she asked and Amity huffed, shaking her head.
“More like… Jittery. Not nervous. Today will go great, I’m just-… A lot of preparation leads up to this and I’m not sure what to think of this.”
Luz nodded in understanding, pressing a kiss to where she thought Amity’s hair was but feeling a veil under her lips.
“Yeah, I feel you… After months of planning for this one day, it feels… Overwhelming.”, she admitted and Amity nodded against her, her arms wrapping around her back and holding her close as well. Luz let her bask in the hug for a while before giggling.
“What’s with the tie, by the way? I already saw the dress and I thought we had agreed not to make it a big thing?”, she asked and felt Amity giggling as well now. She booked that as a win.
“Well, you never saw the dress on me.”, Amity argued now and Luz laughed at that, nodding.
“… ‘Suppose that’s right. Still. Do you want to make it a big reveal to everyone?”, she asked and Amity shook her head now, stepping out of the hug as she grabbed Luz’s hands again.
“No, only to you.”
Luz laughed, letting her fiancé play with her hands, before trying to get a peek under the tie, but someone clapped the back of her head. She supposed that was Emira.
“Alright then. You tell me when to take it off.”, she softly said and Amity gestured before she felt the same hand grabbing the knot on the back of her head being grabbed and pulling upwards, effectively uncovering her eyes. Luz blinked once or twice to shake off the blurriness, before looking down at her wife.
She stood taller than normal, her heels elevating her a little bit, and was looking every bit as gorgeous as Luz had dreamed her to be when she had seen the dress for the very first time.
The white dress was hugging Amity’s curves perfectly, the corset sitting on her waist highlighting her lean figure, while her skirt was falling a little more open, decorated with patterns of lace and flowers down to the hem. Atop her long lavender hair sat the veil that was falling past her shoulders down to the hem as well. Willow had even gone the extra mile and decorated the veil with a little flower crown and a few petals over her bare shoulders. Luz felt her jaw falling, before pulling her lips into a shy smile.
“… Wow…”, she breathed and Amity giggled, pulling herself closer to Luz’s hands, “You look gorgeous… I-… I don’t even know what to say…”
Amity laughed at that, pulling their hands together so she could free one, placing it on the side of Luz’s neck.
“You clean up quite nice yourself.”, she teased and Luz huffed indignantly as Amity played with the collar of her dress shirt.
“Excuse me, I expect no less than gorgeous about my outfit as well.”, she teased back and Amity laughed.
“Fine, you look gorgeous, too.”, she smirked, “Quite handsome.”
Luz gave a satisfied grin, but before they could lean in to share a kiss, Boscha pulled them apart and gagged.
“You two are insufferable. Also, the people want to greet you, too, Amity. And the ceremony should start soon. Chop chop, people, others still have plans for tonight!”, she called and Luz laughed at her friends' antics, shaking her head as Boscha pushed her out of the room.
“What kinda plans do you have for tonight other than the wedding?”, she questioned, to which Boscha gave her a quizzical, almost questioning look.
“Hello? There is a big bowl of apple juice with my name on it that won’t drink itself. Also, your mom brought some of that human stuff, anocohl, or something. So, get a move on! I’m impatient!”, she exclaimed and Luz knew Boscha was excited for them as well. She just didn’t want to show it and had to ridicule the situation to feel more comfortable. Honestly, she could feel with her.
Luz was shoved right into the crowd who were all turning their attention to her, expecting to see the other bride, but Luz merely lifted her hands.
“Sorry, guys! Amity will be out in a second!”, she smirked and some of their guests gave a small laugh before she leaned to her Mama and whispered.
“You brought alcohol?”, she asked and her mother nodded, so she chuckled, “Make sure to save me some. Also, don’t give anything to the pink-haired witch that just shoved me in here.”
Her mother assured her she would be keeping an eye on Boscha, just when a shout came down the hallway.
“I heard that, human!”
Luz gave a snort and was about to respond to that when a gasp went through the room and Amity appeared in the doorway. Once again, she felt her jaw falling but managed to step toward her fiancé and hold out her arm so she could present her to the wedding guests.
“I thought you didn’t want to make a big entrance out of this?”, Amity whispered to her when Luz put her hand over Amity’s that she had looped around her elbow, and Luz chuckled.
“It kind of just happened.”, she replied and Amity shot her an amused glance.
“Let’s hope it’s the last of your changes to our original plan.”, she commented, which involuntarily turned a switch in the young human she definitely knew Eda had raised her to have. Just the spark of mischievousness.
She was sure their guests wouldn’t mind some good-natured laughter tonight.
“It’ll definitely be the last.”, she replied and didn’t mean a word.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Thinking of how the Titan showed Luz the first glyph, Light, because she was kind to his son and listened to him, made him feel like his interests mattered when so many others overlooked the little guy and didn’t care about people like him. He didn’t force Luz to painstakingly find it on her own, as Philip did; The Titan freely gave this to her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then the second glyph, Ice, comes when Luz takes the moment to listen to the Titan; To say that she’ll learn on his terms, she’ll respect his body and work with him. Luz paid attention to the unheard son, and now the parent, speaking with and not for him as Philip did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She gets the Plant glyph afterwards by continuing to follow that principle and give his son fun and company...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the final glyph, Fire? Wing it like Witches is a major epiphany for Luz’s development, where it really hits her that she can’t drag her friends around in her attempts to play out certain beloved tropes and story beats she grew up on; In particular, this episode was about her desire to be the underdog hero, dragging Willow into relatively high-stakes consequences for a Grudgby match she did not ask for.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sound familiar? I wonder if the Titan was low key afraid of Luz following in Philip’s steps, recognized that similar hero complex... Even if Luz was nowhere near as evil as Belos, well. Philip started off from somewhere, he didn’t begin as a genocidal dictator with countless sins to his name, he built his way up. Maybe the Titan is just being paranoid, Luz is so young after all! But in the end, he hid one final glyph from Philip because of his need for control, and it was admittedly Luz who jeopardized this precaution by giving Philip the Light spell.
Yet in Wing it like Witches, Luz really matures when she steps up and takes responsibility for her recklessness, for subsuming Willow’s problem and low key making it about herself, and what she decides for the group. Luz takes the full consequences of the stakes she set up so neither Willow nor Gus have to, and it’s this mature gesture of self-awareness that prompts them to reciprocate and forgive Luz.
So I wonder if THAT moment was what solidified to the Titan that yes, I really can trust this child. This human, the first after centuries of another who has been desecrating my corpse, bastardizing my name; She truly didn’t know any better, and meant well, teaching Philip the Titan’s last glyph. The first few glyphs were like little gifts, but giving Luz the last one meant she had full access to all of the Titan’s magic, so long as she experimented with glyph combos. And the Titan felt safe to entrust her with something he barred from Philip, because why?
Because Luz got over that fatal flaw of Philip’s; The desire to be the hero at any cost. That proved she wouldn’t follow in his footsteps, she diverged at a crucial point, and it meant she’d never become another Belos. They both worked and studied for the glyphs, but what mattered was the compassion that Luz had, and it was her kindness that began her discovery of glyphs. The Titan could trust his final glyph to her, Fire... But as he’d find out, it wasn’t even his final gift to Luz, either.
There really is this recurring arc of hesitancy from the Titan; Someone who was used, betrayed, and taken advantage of. And knew how easy it was for the same to happen to his son. So to see the little ways in which he opens up, recognizes Luz’s kindness and maturity and responds to each step in her growth... It’s like someone learning to trust again, realizing they’ve really found a friend after all. It’s no wonder Luz is treated like an old friend by the Titan, because she is one, and it makes his final gift and farewell to her all the more impactful.
On a lighter note! I’m just imagining the Titan figuring out how to show Luz the Fire glyph, after deciding he’ll do just that. I keep thinking of him watching Luz in the Grudgby game, cheering her on and giving Luz support by illuminating his last glyph in Boscha’s fire; “Here kid, take this!” It’s such a relatively casual and silly moment too, because the Titan isn’t obsessed with the theatrics and drama of godhood.

so luz went from the girl at school failing her classes with no friends, completely misunderstood by her teachers, other kids, her mom even, to the girl with friends for life (and an awesome girlfriend) who has half the people on the boiling isles show up for her quinceañera because turns out she's a hero and she's found the place she belongs and is understood and completely loved for who she is
willow went from miserable, bullied girl who didn't believe she could do anything right and tried to make herself so small to a natural team leader and complete girlboss (with a cute boyfriend) who just...oozes confidence in everything that she is, there is no way you can look at her and believe people once dared to call her half-a-witch and if anyone did now she could take them to the cleaners except she couldn't care less and the rest of the hexsquad would do it for her anyway
gus went from the kid who didn't think he could do anything right to a confident teacher who gets to show students his passion for the human realm (and he can pop in and out all the time which is the dream!) and being a prodigy is really a gift now, not something that sets him apart and makes him a target but instead an awesome teacher who can empathize with students having a hard time and is just plain cool on top of all that as he teaches them not to eat paperclips
amity went from one dimensional mean girl actually desperately trying to earn her parents' approval to wild, adventure seeking author who made up for who she was, cut ties with her emotionally abusive mother and terrible friends, has a close relationship with her dad now plus the best friends ever (byeeee boscha), and also has an awesome girlfriend as she travels all over the isles doing exactly what she wants with no one controlling her
and wow okay hunter went from the golden guard who obeyed belos' every order out of the insane desire to be needed and special without realizing if he messed up belos was literally growing his replacement because he was always just a copy of someone belos both hated but couldn't let go of haha that's dark to being just hunter who has guardians he doesn't have to flinch away from and tons of friends and he gets to carve palismen just how he wanted and his girlfriend could definitely bench press him and he'll always remember the first friend who ever found him (chose him!!) and saved his life in so many ways THE HEXSQUAD IS SO GOOD I JUST!!!!!!!

Amity is one of the people who understands Luz the most. (Part 1)
1. Convention:
Amity seems to understand how passionate and persistent Luz is with learning magic although she's a human. Because she's right, Luz works so hard to find more glyphs, creating glyph combos and trains many times.
Tumblr media
2. Wing It like Witches:
Amity helps Luz make amends with Willow and Gus by explaining Luz's side and the reason why she made mistakes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Amity even gives the hair clip to Willow to indicate Luz's remorse of what she did.
Tumblr media
Even though Luz says that she'll face Boscha alone, Amity knows that Luz still needs her friends to help her, which is also true.
Tumblr media
3. Escaping Expulsion:
Just from the Abomination's cat ears, Amity immediately realizes Luz has gotten involved with her parents.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Eclipse Lake:
After clearing up misunderstanding, Amity comes to the realization about how Luz loves her unconditionally and Luz would never break up with her even if she makes mistakes. Luz cares about her well-being more than her achievements.

“I already let you go... many times.”
It’s just... here’s the thing. I love how this shot is framed. Everyone expects Boscha to go after them in a fight here, to claim her top spot again, but her character is completely flipped on its head (in a gorgeously in-character way) and that’s not at all what happens.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But of course this is how it actually is. Boscha was literally the perfect person Amity’s parents could’ve picked to be her friend, because she has latched onto Amity as the only person who’s ‘worthy’ enough to lead with her. She sees all of Amity’s skills and says here, I can show you where to use them, because that’s always how they’ve interacted with each other.
Boscha gets her own self-worth from control, and this is her own twisted way of promising Amity praise, too. It’s beautifully done and lowkey bonechilling and I love it.
Tumblr media
“I can’t be who you want me to be, Boscha.”
And not only is Amity’s refusal a callback to earlier in the episode (Ghost only awakening to her when she said she wanted to be her own person), this is Amity’s Entire Character Arc! She’s doing things for herself now, not because of what people want from her. And that’s growth, baby.

Hey guys, quick reminder, when Amity (a girl who was emotional abused by her parents) broke off her friendship with Willow, they were like 8. Then in Understanding Willow, Amity did take responsibility for her actions and say she'd do better. Then in the next episode, we literally see Amity shutting down Boscha for bullying Willow.

no one has explored the idea of darius and camila co-parenting hunter enough. like where the hell are the fics about darius calling camila asking if hunter left his derby uniform at her house or camila personally going to drop off hunter at his dad's house and sharing a cup of tea with him while she asks about hunter's grades at hexside and darius asks about hunter's sleeping habits and if she had any human alternatives to sleeping nettles that might help him sleep without the dream-enhancing side effect.
what about camila inviting darius to stay for dinner when he comes to drop off hunter at his mom's house and darius asking for the recipe and then asking the kids what ingredients he could substitute and which ones have to stay the same. or camila specifically adding three more lines to her phone plan-- one for vee, one for hunter, and one for darius so that they can keep in contact more easily. or hunter getting in trouble at school for picking a fight with boscha but when principal bump calls, darius is extremely busy with work so he calls camila and asks her to handle it.
maybe darius gets in an argument with hunter and he cant tell where he went wrong and calls camila and she listens and gives him her advice as someone whose been a parent for fourteen years vs. his own eight months. or camila opens up to darius about her own struggles with losing her husband and he opens up with his own grief over losing his mentor. or they talk on the phone for hours and gossip with each other. maybe darius comes over to hang out with camila and binge watch a new show with her while the kids are at school

"Evil because evil" is the worst trope for an antagonist. It has the right to exist only if the character appears literally in one episode and then disappears (as it was with Bria). But the regular appearance of such an antagonist is simply inexcusable.
TOH had a chance to show a toxic mother who "knows better what her children need," but still loves them. We would have a real dilemma for Amity: "my mother loves me, but her actions are terrible, should I forgive her or not?" But instead we have a stupid evil woman in whom there isn't a drop of humanity, so that her husband would seem like a good poor boy against her background.
We could also see different ways of becoming a bully: because of the family situation, as it was with Amity, and, for example, because of the fear of being bullied themselves for Boscha. Or maybe she had a hyperprotective family and she wants to feel power and freedom at least somewhere herself? Or is she on the contrary seeking the attention of parents? But instead we have a boring cliched school villain that we have seen hundreds of thousands of times. Sad for a show that positioned itself as "breaking stereotypes and cliches".
And I'm not saying that both Odalia and Boscha would have to be completely forgiven in this case. No. They just would have bad better writing. Bye
