Happy Monday! I am honoring Toledo Parks this week and I have some oldies for you! Pictured below is City Park in Toledo, Ohio. In 1871 the City of Toledo purchased a private park from Peter Lenk at the south edge of town. Additional adjoining property was purchased from Horace Walbridge in 1873. The combined seven acres was at the northeast corner of the intersection of Nebraska Ave. and Elizabeth St. The site was made into the first of many public recreation areas and named City Park. City Park was renamed to Rev. H. V. Savage Park around 1997 in honor of Reverend Harvey Savage, Sr. who founded Lo-Salem Missionary Baptist Church and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Kitchen for the poor. Toledo's first park was small, but due to its location in the midst of a densely populated neighborhood, it was immediately popular. City Park even featured a tennis court and the first public swimming pool! *Note that there were Private Parks that existed in Toledo before 1871. One of these was Lenk's Park which was located on the City Park site. So this is Seth. 

I'm not sure how he looked in 2018, the oldest tray I had of him was from early 2019, but he already existed in my game before that. In late 2020, I decided he, and his wife, need a complete makeover. Because when I created him, I didn't have any piece of CC in my game. Pretty sure I didn't even bother to mess with the CAS sliders. He and his wife were the Love Photo Challenge couple.

This is my oldest sim Ariadne (well, her first name used to be Aluna, but we don’t talk about that). She’s been around since forever, but not necessarily on this blog. I used to post her all the time on my old one, but that was a different time. My style has changed a lot (for the better tbh).

Hi, my name is Mal💖 and I’ve been in the sims community for years (2014?), but I haven’t been active until this year!! I (and a couple of my homies @pleaseputnamehere and @smallsimmer) have compared the past versions of my sims to their current ones and my sim style has changed a lot. I was wondering how many other people’s sim styles has changed over the years, so I (thanks for the suggestion @falkii ily ♥) decided to make a challenge!!

The challenge is pretty simple:

You’ll need two (or more if you have multiple versions of the same sim) pictures of your sim.

Make sure to put the year that the picture was taken

Then put them side by side (or in a collage if you want)

And POST!!

This challenge is not only for the Sims 3, but all the sims games that you might play and/or post on your tumblr. Remember this is a challenge to see how much you’ve grown/changed over the years, so be kind to yourself and others. Don’t judge yourself too harshly for how your sims looked because you thought they looked good at one point and that’s all that matters.

Also make sure to tag your post with #blasttothepast and #bttpch , so I and everyone can see your growth as well 😊. Do make sure to tag other people (friends, mutuals ,or people that you follow), so we can see their evolution as well 💓
