The older I get the more I realize that Clive was screwed over in so many ways. He was lied to, manipulated, I’m pretty sure legitimately gaslit and overall kept in the dark about the entire zombie situation be he still trusted Liv enough to do what she asked with almost no question. The way he genuinely cared for Liv and Major and Ravi is kinda heartbreaking. He just wanted to protect the people he cared about no matter the cost <3

Would Blaine DuBeers from iZombie survive?

In his favour: intelligent, charismatic, is very good at playing nice when he has an angle/conning someone, does not care about baby killings, technically immortal from anything less than an injury penetrating his skull.

Not in his favour: is a snarky, quippy asshole when he doesn't realise he needs to play nice, and even when he does he's still an asshole. Even if offered the crucifix would have refused. Very skilled at pissing people off to the point they want to figure out how to kill him and if sufficiently annoyed I have confidence in Dracula's head bashing ability.

Neutral: does need a fairly regular supply of brains to remain sane, but also Dracula has a nearby graveyard and no one ever said zombies need the brains to have blood. Its recycling!

So yes, Dracula's head bashing abilities certainly seem like they would take him out without much difficulty. The question is if Dracula decides to kill him or not.

So ... con man. Conning Dracula is a pretty dangerous game. I am imagining him trying to sell Dracula swampland in Arkansas... so okay if the Carfax sale is a scam, there's not really any way for Dracula to find out until he gets there. How smarmy exactly is this guy? And can he keep stringing Dracula along until he leaves? Jonathan is there to get his work done quickly and efficiently and then leave - what might trying to do the opposite achieve? It's going to depend on whether DuBeers identifies Dracula as a real threat I think.

Now I am given to understand that zombies in this universe are Real Gross if they don't take care of themselves. So Dracula might be naturally disdainful of other (inferior) undead. On the other hand Dracula is also Real Gross so the disdain may be mutual. I do have to offer one correction - Dracula does not have a graveyard at hand. The Significant Graveyard in the novel is up at Whitby Abbey. But Dracula does like. Kill people. They could conceivably work something out where he gets to eat the baby brains after the Girlies are done. It would solve the potential problem of vampire babies running all over the place. But the Girlies only get fed once a month. Is that going to be enough for a zombie to maintain his sanity and bodily integrity? If not, he's going to have a real problem.

I think a zombie, however well groomed, is not something a vampire is going to consider worth eating. Dracula is not going to promise him to the Girlies. Convincing Dracula to keep him alive for two months going to be an uphill battle. And I am not seeing an obvious exit strategy for him.

I think Blaine DuBeers probably can not survive Castle Dracula. He's just too difficult to keep fed, and arguably too insufferable to not beat to death.
