Fav makeup products?
There are several that I like quite a bit. My favorite goth-minded brand is Black Moon Cosmetics - they have great liquid lipsticks especially. I also like Limecrime quite a bit (and yes, I know their founder is scuzzy, but she doesn't own the brand anymore).
I used to be really big into Melt Cosmetics back when they had more goth-type makeup, but they've gotten more conventional with time, which is a bummer. Thankfully I still have a bunch of their old eyeshadows and eyeliners that have since been discontinued.
Medusa's Makeup makes really good cosmetic glitter. The black liquid eyeliners I currently use come from Haus Labs and NYX. The white foundation I use for trad goth looks was made by Illamasqua. My normal pale beige foundation and powder comes from Tarte.
The mascara I use is Too Faced's Better than Sex Waterproof, and that shit really really does not come off. I'll still have remnants of it around my eyes after four days sometimes. I have never worn false eyelashes and I don't know if I ever will - it's just not for me.

The young baker is a very thick man. Not only is he tall but he is also very broad. No doubt due to all the years of lifting heavy items around his family's bakery and working out with his aunts and uncles. While he does possess a pair of muscular arms and thighs, he maintains a softness. More than likely from never missing a meal or a snack time. While he occasionally wishes he had a more toned body, he remembers the various compliments over the years (plus he's not giving up snacks) Many of his partners have complimented those thighs and enjoy feeling those large hands around them.

Chris has a decent sized afro that highlights his curls. While not as huge as his afro in HS, he decided to keep it since he found it looked cool on him.

Chris got his ears pierced on his 16th birthday and he loves those gold earrings (his 16th birthday celebration is a memory he holds dear). Surprisingly, Chris has a navel piercings that he got in college after he made some money selling some baked goods at his friends comedy show. His then partner suggested he treat himself to something memorable and he thought of how cool Lenny Kravitz looked with a navel piercing, so he made an appointment. Within a week he had the gold, moon shaped design that few are lucky to see.

You wanna know what the absolute worst thing is about gatekeeping in the goth subculture when it comes to goth millenials & older VS. gen z goths & younger?
Babybats look up to older goths.
Why? Because we're their proof that self-authenticity evolves over time. That it gets easier. They see us & feel validated.
I never expected to be someone that a babybat would look up to. But then one day I was in a waiting room with teased hair and black lipstick, and there was a younger person there (late middle school or early high school age maybe) waiting with their mom.
They were obviously very shy, and instead of engaging with me, they started talking excitedly (yet quietly) to their mom about M'era Luna festival and Black Moon Cosmetics. I'm not sure if they brought up any bands but they could have called Slipknot a goth band and I still would've been overjoyed to be in that room that day.
It goes both ways. It's inspiring for younger goths to see older goths in the wild, and it's an absolute gift to see kids and teenagers getting into alternative subcultures.
It doesn't matter if babybats don't recognize the band on your shirt or don't resonate with your very specific denomination of style, they're just happy to see adults who get it and who aren't going to give them the redundant leer that they probably get from most adults all day.
These kids already likely get the soul crushed out of them in their social lives by people who care way too much about picking someone apart over shallow bullshit like how someone looks or what music they like.
Why would you crush them even further? How dare you.

i feel terrible. i lost the lipstick my bestie got me for xmas sunday at the new year’s party i went too and i just ordered a replacement of it. she’ll never know because im not gonna tell her, eventho i know she’d understand because somehow i got way drunker than i should’ve been for the amount of alcohol i consumed. { two of the drinks i had tasted off and one of them my bf had as week and agreed it didn’t taste as good. the alcohol the bar used must’ve been different or something } but i still don’t want her to know simply because of how terrible i feel.
i wanted to wear it for my friends concert this upcoming friday jan 5 and it breaks my heart i can’t wear the gorgeous blood red color.

Project Pan: 23 in 2023
A goal of mine for 2023 is to continue being low-buy/shopping wisely for makeup, using up my makeup stash, destash what I will not use, toss what has gone bad. I did make a dent in my makeup/skincare stash during 2022 and want to keep the momentum going.
FOMO is real and beauty subscription boxes really added to my stash. I stopped my Ipsy subscriptions in December 2021 and thrilled I didn't recommit. Continuing to decrease purchasing and using what I have.
I also plan to keep track of my makeup spending and savings by using my stash. *fingers crossed* I keep that up in 2023.
