The Complete Amateur's Guide to Moomin
By popular demand, I have compiled every video in my 'Amateur's Guide to Moomin' into one convenient video, with additional footnotes, corrections, and a newly added section discussing the changes that have occurred with the Moomin series since the publishing of the original videos. Join me as I explore the series' history and its author, Tove Jansson, to discover what we can learn from this peaceful family of trolls.
Special thanks to @marsmombestmom for helping with the Swedish Translation and corrections.

PJO Review Episode 8: The Prophecy Comes True
Things I Liked:
Percy and Ares Fight
I was so excited about this fight, and I liked how they showed Percy training with Luke (in more ways than one). Also, Poseidon coming into for the assist because yes Percy is going to win, but he is still 12. And for now and forever, it will be on sight! (Though no curse???)
Meeting Zeus
Lance Reddick was the perfect level of intimidating and standoffish. The entire time Percy was mouthing off I was so concerned for him!
Enter Poseidon
Toby Stephens is the world's best sad and nautical actor I swear. He looks just enough like Walker, and the hand grab behind the neck. Their looks - ACTING!!!!
Grover
I love your hat and searcher's license! Godspeed my good friend.
The Necklace
The way they looked at each other, the trust, the hope 😭
Things I Didn't Like
The Betrayal of Luke
Though not for the reason I thought. I do hate the exposition dump of "Luke is the traitor" more because it fits the pattern of exposition dumping. I think Percy did have the information to put that together, and I genuinely love the idea of Luke trying to recruit him! He probably would have. I was confused by Backbiter, but that is apparently book-accurate, and just never used again???
Annabeth Was There
Annabeth loves and trusts Luke, which is a big part of her (SPOILERS) holding up the sky, and then even trying to save him later. It seems odd to have her hear everything and then be willing to trust him come season 3, and believe in him season 5. I hope they show her struggling with this in the future!
Dream Timeline
I am honestly confused by the end of the show there. Apparently, summer is over but they're wearing jackets in August in NY and then it cuts to his mom and a dream, and then awake. So, I think perhaps it's supposed to be all real except the dream? Not great differentiation for me though.
Gabe Turned to Stone
Why do we keep taking away Sally's agency and choice to turn him to stone? It happened as an end-type scene in the movie too, but I really wish they stopped taking away her decision. She deserves to turn her abuser by choice, not by his own stupidity.
Pacing
I love the first half of the episode, but I feel like they somehow had too much time and not enough action at the end.
TLDR: 7/10 - I loved the beginning especially Percy's interaction with Poseidon. "Grandpa" Kronos made me laugh louder than anything. But, I still think the pacing was weird toward the end, and I wish Annabeth hadn't been there to confront Luke.
Here's to next season folks!!!

Something big is happening in Empires & Hermitcraft. Let's discuss! Specifically, Grian, Smallishbeans, LDshadowlady and Fwhip's episodes the week of October 9, 2022. I've clipped all the relevant scenes down below. I'm very interested in corrections and commentary!
[Note: They all ended their episodes at a portal with weird stuff happening, so if you're looking to check videos for rift lore, maybe skip to the ends.]
- October 9 - Grian finds a button in front of his Hermitcraft rift. It says "Begin?" Grumbot[1]  gives him a message that says "Push the button". He tries not to, but eventually gives in. (This is typical Grian behavior.)  (HC 9: Ep 23)
- October 11 - Lizzie finds a portal on Empires that bears some suspicious resemblance to Grian's rift. Hoping she might get crystals, she sends a fox named Gary through on a minecart to investigate, and bring back "lots of crystals, the shinier the better". They hit the portal, Gary goes through, the minecart doesn't. (Is Gary a modded villager? That's lizzie's thing?) (Empires s2, Ep 11)
- October 13
(1) Joel spies the portal from his bridge, having heard about it already. He says he'll send something through because Lizzie already did. He sends one of his Jimmy dolls - it's important to remember the doll is named "Smallishbeans's Head". There's no minecart, he just chucks it in.  (Empires s2, ep 19) (2) Fwhip hears an explosion and finds the portal, decides to not engage with any of it. Later, Lizzie comes to Fwhip for help rescuing Gary, and they send Fwhip's creature, "Sniff, Explorer of the Deep", through the portal on a minecart to get Gary. I have no idea what kind of creature Sniff is. Some modded goblin horse I get. Snort's older brother. idk. (Empires S2 : Building a GOBLIN LAVA FORGE, because he can't be bothered to use episode numbers I guess?)
Maybe it's not Grian's rift, maybe Hermitcraft and Empires aren't connected, but that would be WILD. If you don't know, Grian is IRL friends with Lizzie and Joel, so them collaborating makes a lot of sense. Sausage is having big flashbacks to Empires s1 and Afterlife SMP. Gem and FalseSymmetry are in both Empires & Hermitcraft, and False's plot is about having woken up in a strange place. Pearl is in Hermitcraft, and was in Empires s1, and there's deep lore about her that I'm not caught up on, but she already exists between series, she sent Oli (theorionsound) from Afterlife SMP to Empires season 2, from her base in the sky. She's been Watching everything! She's a Saint? A Goddess? (I am going to catch up, I only finished emp1 this month.) And I'm told her afterlife/empires sky base is her hermitcraft s8 base.
The Jimmy toy looks like Jimmy and has Joel's name. Their Double Life soulmates are in Hermitcraft. I saw a comic once that had Tango finding a Jimmy doll and it feeling familiar. Thus, I am now insane and will be at least until empires s2 is over, probably forever.
Here's some videos and some transcripts, but I've been at this two hours and I'm not transcribing them all, sorry!
(I will hopefully keep updating as things develop, but no promises. Probably with less transcription. I'll tag them all #mcyt crossover, because who knows how deep this will go.)
youtube

youtube
Joel transcript, at 13:26 - Joel spies the portal. "and whilst we're here, look at that. that's lore right there. weird lore stuff's happening on the server guys. what is it? I don't know. But I saw that Lizzie put something in it, so we should go put something in it as well. So what better than this little toy man here? Well, the toy version of the toy man. Have fun little toy-- oh, it's missed. Let's try again." [toy name says "Smallishbeans's Head"] "Have fun little toy man! And just like that, he's gone. I hope he's okay, but if he's not okay, then that's fine as well to be honest.
Fwhip transcript
11:57 - Fwhip says Jimmy is toying with his heart. </3
12:00 - Fwhip hears an explosion. "What? Bridge? What is (x3) that? I'm sorry but this is brand new. How did this pop up here out of the wall? [confused goblin noises] You know what, if I've learned anything being underground in the goblin cavern it's don't dig where you're not supposed to be digging. I'm going to be leaving that as if I've never saw it [things about copper and cave safety] spooky things are happening".
15:30 - (too long to transcribe) Lizzie blows the emergency horn, says there's a situation with Gary, the greatest explorer who ever lived in Animalia. She's upset that Gary hasn't come back, Fwhip tells her that he heard an explosion earlier, Lizzie is more upset, wants a rescue mission. Fwhip says his empire's greatest explorer, "Sniff, Explorer of the Deep" has just returned home, [they laugh heartily]. Lizzie takes Fwhip and Sniff to the "crystal cave". Fwhip says maybe Gary did the explosion. Lizzie says Gary had a very specific mission (get crystals) and he'd never stray from the mission protocols. They tell Sniff to find and bring back Gary. Sniff spins around a lot, because he's excited for a job. They put him on a minecart, Lizzie makes a Harry Potter reference (which she and Joel do all the time), and the episode cuts right there, no outro.
Time stamped links to the original videos (give them a like!):
Joel https://youtu.be/rUmWjXaJGcw?t=805
Lizzie: https://youtu.be/bunhaERjxmE?t=533 Fwhip: https://youtu.be/jI3bYNJXuVs?t=717 (second part is at 15:30)
Grian: it's the whole episode https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Onsbmy3r70g
[1] Grumbot is... in HC s7 Grian and Mumbo he made a robot son to help Mumbo win the mayoral election, then they lied to him and sai that he won, and put him in a (nice) box. Now there's a grumbot here and maybe he's from an AU and he says creepy things like "My Grian was sorry too" and I've only watched bits of all this.

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End Episode 1 - Lots To Take In
Tumblr media
Bit of a crossroads here with Frieren for me. I'm a huge fan of Satiou's work, and I love Madhouse when they're at their best. But I'm rather critical of some of the aspects of Frieren and it's somewhat overblown popularity. That said, there wasn't any way I was going to miss out on this insane 2 hour special episode, and it's left me with a lot to talk about! Considering the insane length of 2 hours though, I'll try to keep it as short as possible.
Alright, first things first, it's just downright beautiful. The environment art is nothing short of incredible and is a huge upgrade over the manga. People talk about Frieren's art being "beautiful", and I can agree that the characters and some of the environments can be really pretty, but I never really thought of them in the way others did. But with the anime, I see it now. The incredible beauty on display, especially with the dedication to detail and beauty with interiors and buildings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next on the list is colors, or I guess direction (?) as Saitou really likes using the sky to apply negative space for monologuing with characters. A really interesting idea that works great, but one that I was surprised to see considering how little we see of Saitou's interest/penchant for faceless characters. Of course, you'll see faceless background characters but never any of the leads.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How about animation, then? It's interesting. It's not really anything that will make you marvel unless you're looking for it. The big moments are there from time to time, but by and far the focus is on providing detail for everything, even the smallest moments. A little seed rat running around, or the splash from a shot hitting a puddle. Character acting benefits from this detail a great deal, and is the most important piece in the sense of animation. Just look at this sequence. Incredibly simple, but also incredibly important as it gives viewers something to understand the characters by. It's not just the words of Himmel that are extravagant, it's his movements as well. Heiter isn't just an alcoholic, but the kind of guy that struggles to be serious. Then there's Eisen and Frieren, both of which are denoted by their distant and stiff interaction during the conversation. It's a piece that was sorely missing from the manga, the ability to connect with these characters in the present, as a viewer. To better understand their personality and get more time to feel out how they act.
Tumblr media
Time, that's a good segue. The pacing in this special is phenomenal. I will always, always talk about how newer mangaka tend to try and rush things to get their points across, attempting to speed along to deliver the punchline or reveal. Frieren is somewhat similar in that regard as the manga wastes no time going through the motions. Here though, we have 4 episodes worth of content, or a little over an hour and a half. That covers the first volume and 3 pages at most. To put it in perspective, most anime will adapt about 5 or 6 volumes of manga in a 12 episode season. At Frieren's current pace, it'll adapt 3 volumes in 12 episodes worth of content. And that's what it needs, the time and space the explore itself, to further flesh out, examine, and understand the world and its characters. A great example is Himmel's funeral. It removes the stone-faced Frieren crying scene and replaces it with something far more drawn out, something far deeper. It's not the fact that Himmel died that upsets Frieren, it's the fact that he's gone and she can't learn anything more about him. The fact that he is buried in the ground and will not be able to answer her questions or spend more time with her. It's a far stronger and more emotional depiction of the sequence than the manga.
However, not everything is as perfect as I wished for it to be. The past is the main focus of Frieren, though I suppose its intended goal is to highlight the importance of the present through the past, but the manga's approach denies that facet of the narrative. It's flashback central where it uses Frieren's previous journey to contextualize and explain everything.
And this is where one of the best changes actually happens. Heiter recants the story of finding a young Fern all alone and on her own, where he talks about how it was Himmel that inspired him to take her in. In the manga, it launches into a flashback where Heiter idealizes Himmel, but I'm so very glad that the staff behind the sequence understood the potential better. Instead of the flashback of Himmel, it focuses on Heiter's self-deprecation using Himmel as a comparison. How who he is is weaker than Himmel. And that because of that, he feels the need to try and be more like him now that he's gone. It's not "the immortal Himmel is the greatest person ever", it's "the man that was better than me in every way is gone now. I feel worse for it, so I want to follow in his footsteps.". Also, very cool little piece of direction that draws viewers towards the conclusion that Heiter himself detests his own drinking habits (and that Fern is most likely why he stopped drinking).
Tumblr media
Like I said earlier though, this is both the best change and an outlier. The further in the story continues, the more it normalizes towards the manga. The pacing is still great, but the flashbacks increase in frequency and duration past this point. Which is disappointing because of what the past is.
It's the past. It's immutable, impossible to change or experience once more. It's ever distant and fleeting, but equally so close and memorable. The amount of flashbacks ruins the delicacy of that past. It's no longer something lost, no longer something that cannot be seen again. And it feels like a waste. What's the point in the past being the past if it's featured so often in the present?
Perhaps the most frustrating example comes from episode 3 where Frieren and Fern are having a fancy dinner and musing over what to choose for dessert. Fern makes an assumption that Himmel had made in the past, so we launch into a flashback about Frieren not knowing people. The sentiment behind the story is valid and important, but the execution is painful.
The words overlap, the sentiment and importance does as well. Why then, would you not explore the potential of layering past over present to have Frieren address Fern as well as Himmel to show how she's growing from her past and current experiences?
To summarize in broad terms, the inclusion of the past isn't bold enough. It's plain, and that plainness is, well, plain to see. It drags things down and weighs on viewers and the flow of the story (not to be confused with pace).
And that's where I end my commentary. Madhouse and Saitou are doing some truly incredible visual work, and showing they have the potential and ability to take the manga and make everything better. However, at times they lack the boldness and confidence to tackle some tougher concepts. We've got a whole lot of time with this series though so I'm very excited to see what they attempt to do with it.

2.11 Fear Her
8.4 Listen, aka the first episode that Capaldi carries, despite Moffat being himself again
10.ii Twice Upon a Time (ugh we could’ve had a brilliant trilogy to see out Capaldi, but instead we get Moffat masturbating on live television for an hour. look, The Doctor could have had an actual character arc - they feel like they’re on borrowed time after their resurrection on Trenzalore, after the events on Gallifrey they feel like any sort of feelings of ‘duty’ as last of the time lords (as errant and fleeting as such feelings might’ve been) are resolved, and after failing their BIG MASSIVE SEASON 10 ARC with Missy and getting stabbed in the back, and BILL [redacted for spoilers], they’re happy to accept their death - and that’s where the season ends. yuletide 2017 could’ve ended this arc, they’re taught the love of the universe again, they see the goodness they bring to all life - Clara, i am a good man. and when they sit down to die, those words ‘maybe just one more go’ could’ve had the weight of the universe behind them, it could’ve been the greatest who line ever written, had that line actually had weight on its shoulders. Moffat is a hack. mystery-boxing is hacking, end of story. Capaldi, the finest actor ever in the role, was done dirty by scripts with no weight and planning. Grand Moff lives up his own arse - that power gives him the ability to write incredible episodes such as Heaven Sent and everything he ever touched under Davies - but it makes all series, arcs and continuity fall apart into a pile of shit. this episode is the finest example - a universe of potential, reduced to one hour of self-congratulatory masturbation)
6.9 Night Terrors
11.9 It Takes You Away (the one with the frog god)
7.10 Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS
9.12 Heaven Sent Part II: Whoops

8.3 Robot of Sherwood
9.5/6 Maisie Williams
6.13 The Wedding of River Song
5.3 Victory of the Daleks
8.11/12 Dark Water / Death in Heaven aka i’m sorry Gomez but not even you can carry this
3.6 The Lazarus Experiment
11.i Resolution (…of the Daleks)
10.2 Emoji Robots
8.2 Into the Dalek
10.5 Knock Knock. Who’s There? Yer mum
7.13 The Name of the Doctor aka the Biggest Waste of Richard E. Grant until Rise of Skywalker

10.8/9 The Pyramid at the End of the World / The Lie of the Land
Doctor Who: The Movie!
11.6 Demons of the Punjab

11.5 P’ting
9.3/4 Under the Lake / Before the Flood aka the Biggest Waste of Peter Serafinowicz since the Clone Wars didn’t bring him back. also a deaf person falling in love with their interpreter is the most toxic thing ever. and it’s 90 more minutes of season 9 tedium ugh
2.10 Love and Monsters. yeah this high up
8.7 The anti-abortion episode. and it’s not just for that fact alone nonono, The Doctor is such an unbelievable unforgivable cunt this time. at least Clara calls them out in that brilliant final-ish scene BUT they’re still unforgivable AND they get forgiven anyway next week?? literally they take the way Clara’s character arc was going and throw it all in the bin
8.10 In The Forest of the Shite
11.7 Kerblam!
10.9 Empress of Mars aka i’m starting to think Mark Gatiss might be a bad writer actually
9.i Last Christmas aka remember how they reset Clara’s character arc after Mummy for literally no reason???? THEY FUCKING DID IT AGAIN!! she’s literally put in limbo for an ENTIRE SEASON, after they gave her TWO good offramps and apparently chickened the fuck out from using them?? and expected me to care when she (spoiler)? also the episode’s like really boring. bonus points for the absolutely perfect casting of Nick Frost tho, very nominative determinism
10.i is my hatred of Doctor Mysterio unwarranted? probably. but i still hate it
12.8 The Haunting of Villa Diodati, the most overrated episode fuck you. no it is not ‘the only good episode of season 12’ - it’s just as bad as the rest. The Doctor is unnecessarily unlikeable. the villain boy is nonsense, uninteresting and unlikeable. and worst of all - i don’t want to have violent sex with any of the people in this villa
12.4 Nikola Tesla’s Tower of Terror
11.8 The Witchfinders

Titanium Ninja actually kind of fucks, though
So I rewatched the last episode of season 3. A pretty mid season, right? Well that final episode fucks in all the ways that made my brain vibrate as a 12 year old. So let’s fucking go I need everyone to appreciate this episode.
First up, ninjas trapped in space. Alright. There’s already no solution to this that isn’t bullshit, so just make it cool. Well, I like that they had to use their abilities and knowledge to make the ship instead of tornado of creation-ing it. Really shows how much they’re capable of when they work together!
“How we holding up?” “Bubblegum and a wish!” As they fucking send it. What a legendary line. It burned itself into my brain for years to come and is a part of my standard lexicon.
“Hasn’t Ninjago suffered enough already?” She asks, on season 3 out of what is now 17.
Overlord’s face is kinda silly but the mech honestly kinda slaps.
“My heart has reached critical mass, it appears my unlimited energy is in fact limited!” “Critical mass? You mean it’s gonna blow up?” “Don’t worry about me!” AHJGHSJKG See kids, this is what we call foreshadowing.
Okay but seriously, now that they’re in the atmosphere, they use their elemental powers to shield themselves as they come in from from orbit like goddamn meteors. Is it bullshit? Yes. Do I care? Absolutely the fuck not.
Skales saying they can’t help the people of Ninjago then doing it anyway? Love him for that. Because he presumably sees the ninjas and is like “ugh these fuckers again. Well if they did it once-”
The city recognizing the ninja as they plummet towards the earth as multicolored meteors? There had better be folk songs about this. I’m surprised there isn’t a church. Saviors from the stars here to kill Satan.
Man, people still getting a haircut as the Overlord attacks. Frickin iconic. No wonder people handled season 9 so well.
Pixal on her lil bike.
Also the ninja being caught by their vehicles. Does it make sense? Not really. But the animation for it is cool so once again, I am fully on board.
“A few parachutes would have been nice!” “Friends and family make a good substitute!” Fuck, I love Kai so much.
City fortress. Cloaked in blacks and reds in a dusky sky. What a sick image.
The fact that they were prepared to throw hands with the Overlord even before Borg came to them with a solution. These lil heroes I love them so much.
Lloyd biking through a hole in a window while Cole just WHAM. I love them both so much.
“Go back, and our probability of making it to the temple exponentially diminishes!” “This isn’t about numbers, Zane! It’s about family!” AAAGH the fact that that line came from Kai! Also, foreshadowing!
Cole whooping even as he’s running from certain doom, what an icon.
Lol the ancient seal of the temple being helped by a convenient barrier.
“Let me get this straight, you want us to get close to a guy with armor that, with one touch, will make us toast, and you want us to give him a pill?” “Precisely!” Oh Borg, never change. Unironically my favorite side character, I love this genius idiot so much. He’s just like “well if anyone can do it, it’s you lunatics” and it still feels like pot calling kettle black.
Zane offering his armor to Pixal!!! I love him! Even though he’s so big on probability, he’s so willing to give up his own safety for others!
“I shall see you again.” AAGH
Magic armor toysets!!
The ninja ninja-ing over rooftops will never not make my brain whir.
Okay the golden spiderweb thing goes kinda hard as a villain aesthetic, though. Great way to make the normally heroic golden colors look all evil!
That shot of the ninja, these tiny lil dudes, against this giant evil robot kicks so much ass though.
“Then attack the people.” Holy SHIT Pythor! What a dick move! And the fact that its his former second-in-command that comes to offer the people refuge is so good!
“That was ALL YOU’VE GOT!?” It sure was, but these ninjas are the masters of asspulls so watch yourself.
Okay now we’re getting to the scene. The scene. One of the best scenes in the show, and I am prepared to die on this hill. Actually, I’m prepared to kill on this hill. Because this scene is just fantastic, and has stuck with me vividly for years, even after I fell off the show back around season seven. If you had come up to 16-year-old Raven and told her to quote this scene, she probably could have done so.
“Support me friends, for one last time.” Never does Zane ever think of this as anything less than a group effort. Even here, he’s asking for their support! And they do what little they can!
Then this GOAT just fuckin grabs the armor and demands “Let! My! Friends! Go!” His voice cracking, as the music swells! The way he’s writhing makes him look like he’s in genuine agony but pushing through it anyway!
“Go where, doomed ninja?”
Then they show his fucking heartbeat! It’s robotic, but also very much so a human pulse! Because Zane is as alive as anyone! Then his faceplate falls off!
And you can see the Overlord’s expression change here as he starts running calculations, getting worried!
“The golden weapons are too powerful for you to behold! Your survival chance is ZERO!” “This isn’t about numbers. It’s about family!” What can I even say about this exchange? First of all, the Overlord is appealing to Zane’s survival, rather than his chance of SUCCESS. In all likelihood, he KNOWS that Zane is a threat right now, because that robot is channeling the power of his own armor. But Zane is not swayed by his own chance of survival.
Killing the moment a bit, looks like Zane is programmed in some wacky ass C++. Wonder if Dr. Julien could help me with my Arduino homework. Never was good with stepper motors. Anyway back to drama.
Then the ninja desperately wondering why Zane isn’t letting go, but Wu realizes. “He’s protecting us!”
“I! Am! A Nindroid! And Ninja! Never quit! Go ninja, Go!” There’s so much here. It’s like when he found his true potential on an infinitely larger scale. The Overlord will not hurt his friends, because he knows who he is: A nindroid that never quits, built to protect those who cannot protect themselves.
Also, “Go ninja, go!” Amazing how the addition of one extra “go” completely changes the mood. It sounds desperate, like he’s telling himself to go, to take the plunge, to give everything up, and he DOES that.
Then he just. Fuckin. Goes. What I imagine is happening here is that he is directly powering himself with the golden armor, channeling the Overlord’s golden power THROUGH his heart to boost his own elemental power. Completely frying himself in the process, but able to literally produce the power to kill Satan.
“No Zane! No!” It being Jay, the one often considered the meek one, to be the first to run after Zane. As Wu has to force them all away, because he can’t lose all his ninja.
Then. The music change. The MUSIC CHANGE. This song. Let me tell you something. I just recently got back into Ninjago. And I was getting caught up on what I missed. Well, I was listening to a music compilation, and suddenly, this song started playing. I Ratatouilled so hard, y’all. I had a flashback to Zane having flashbacks, because this music is absolutely stunning.
His heartbeat plays over the music. The sounds of the fight fade away. As he recounts his time with his brothers. His time meeting his father again, even if it was for only a few short months.
“There’s something special about you Zane.” Cut to Pixal. Then cut to him smiling.
“I know who I am!”
“You were built to protect those who cannot protect themselves.” That’s it. That is the microcosm of Zane’s character. He protects people. He protects his family. And Zane can die happily if it means he has fulfilled that directive.
As he flatlines. Holy hell. I cannot stress enough the impact this had on me as a child.
One final (for now) NOOOOO from the Overlord, then it’s all quiet. The tower light goes out. The manhole freezes over. The robots break. It’s eerily soft compared to what was just happening. Like a single, soft exhale of breath.
Kai looks at a damaged “New Ninjago City” sign. This is symbolism.
And Cole finds a piece of Zane’s body! Is this the only surviving piece? It must be, and that’s devastating! Granted, a kids show probably can’t show what is essentially a corpse, but they don’t even have anything to bury!
Him comforting Nya as she starts to sob. Jay just looking away softly. And Borg. “I used to think technology would be the answer to all of our problems.”
Then it cuts to the memorial.
“Then I saw technology invent new problems. Devastating problems. And then, a Nindroid named Zane saved us all. He was the perfect balance between us and technology.” And nothing encapsulates that better than the heartbeat from a few seconds ago. The heartbeat of a human contained in a machine.
“Technology can improve our lives, but so can people.” The fact that they don’t fully demonize technology, which would be hypocritical seeing as Zane is technology. Instead, it’s all about balance!
“Our city will find its way again, but this time, with Zane as our compass.” Couple things here. First off. That this takes place in a park rather than an urban sprawl. Second, that the photo of Zane is of his season 1 outfit is nice! And that they’re going to look to Zane as an example of what technology should be.
And Zane gets a statue! I love this a lot. I love that it shows up in later seasons. Later on, Zane says he doesn’t need a statue. But it’s not even just about Zane, it’s for the people to remember Zane and his sacrifice by. To remember the mistakes that he fixed so that they don’t repeat them. The Titanium Ninja, a strong metal to act as a foundation for their future. It’s not complex symbolism, but it’s still extremely effective! No wonder I lost my mind at age 12.
Then his falcon sits on his shoulder, with the leitmotif playing! Agh! Just stab me in the heart already, show!
“So, what happens after this?” “I don’t know.” “And I don’t care. Today’s about Zane.” I have a lot of thoughts about this. First up, Jay completely not acknowledging the love triangle right now. He doesn’t care about that, because today IS about Zane. It’s so humanizing. And next up, we know what happens after this. In their grief, the ninja fracture. It’s tragic, but they’re all so devastated by their grief that they don’t know how to carry on together. This is a recurring thing in the show. When Nya becomes the sea, the team splits up. When Lloyd thought his friends died in Sons of Garmadon, he nearly gave up everything. For better or worse, these ninja need each other, they are a very tight-knit family. I wonder if the new series can touch on how they deal with being separated from each other on longer terms. Either way, this family loves each other so much, and I love that,
Kai being the one to give a eulogy. Literally I could type out that entire speech and point to line after line just being like Look! Look at this line! It’s amazingly eloquent, especially coming from Kai. Out of all the ninja, he’s always been the most family-oriented. He’s powered by brotherhood, and Zane continues to power him. We see this in season 4, when he visits Zane’s statue, that he still thinks about Zane every single day, still looking to him for guidance. He has so much love and respect for his family, but also can’t cope with yet another loss in his life.
Wu blinking rapidly as he ducks his head!! Dude is holding back tears big time.
.Dareth sobbing! He loves those funky ninjas too!
“Ninja never quit, and ninja will never be forgotten! Wherever you are Zane, you’ll always be one of us.” As it STARTS TO SNOW! AGH! This is so good!
All of Zane’s flashbacks before it’s revealed that he lived on in the Digiverse! At least before Ronin stole him, lol. Well either way, Pixal moving from grief to hope as she realizes he’s alive! Holy shit! I’d like to draw attention to her speech from crystallized. “Long ago, in a different battle, you gave up half your power source to save my life. Ever since that moment, I felt things I’ve never felt before. I felt love. For you.” Pairing these two moments together just... It hits so hard.
Then the fucking MUSIC. The FUCKING MUSIC! It is triumphant and glorious and a CELEBRATION.
“Are we compatible now?” Holy hell, what an ending.
No wonder this did irreparable damage to my brain chemistry. No wonder I was never normal again. This absolutely DESTROYED me as a kid, and I think it still holds up as one of the most emotionally impactful series of scenes in the show. The beginning is really awesome, the fights are fun, the characterization is stellar, and the death scene is damn near flawless. Is the episode nonsensical and a bit meandering at times? Well, yes, it is. The entire season is all over the place. But this episode still works SO well. I’d say it’s probably top five, easy.
It was something I never considered possible, as a kid. This is coming off season 2, which was pretty Lloyd-centric. I never thought we’d get such an amazing tribute to my, at the time, favorite character. I never thought he’d get such a moment in the spotlight to be as amazing as he was. Granted, he’s since had PLENTY of deaths to call his own, but this one remains the most impactful to me. This was the first death to REALLY be a death and to REALLY hit home. The only deaths that I’d say even come close are Nya’s death in Skybound (since she didn’t really die in Seabound) and Morro’s death for how brutal it is. Nya becoming the sea was also really good, though, with a beautiful funeral. But this one just...
The Titanium Ninja was a revolution for me as a kid. I had adored this show since the pilot. I had kept up religiously since the pilot. But this was the moment that the show went to a whole different level. And honestly, I think it holds up. Ninjago has a list of issues a mile long. But I just want to celebrate for a moment this episode, and everything it does so, so well.
Anyway, that’s my rant about an episode that I really love. I may do this again with episodes like Son of Lily. Because I love this stupid little show so much, guys. I grew up with it, and its always been a big part of my life. Episode 7, Tick Tock, was like, the biggest plot twist of the universe to me as a kid. It was what made Zane my favorite character, and got me so invested in him in the first place. To see Ninjago use that to make a genuinely fantastic character arc, then to use that as the foundation for the fourth season, was absolutely brilliant, and my life is genuinely better for having gotten to enjoy such a show as a kid and now as an adult. This show isn’t some life-changing revolution, but it makes me so happy, and I hope this rant helps illuminate a little bit of why.

My goblin monkey brain gets bored and/or distracted too easily watching dramas, like I've been in situations where I say I soooo love a drama after watching two or five episodes of it and then gets too busy to continue and/or my monkey brain can't be bothered to pick up anymore
So it's considered a big success for me when i can cling and am still interested in a drama for 10 episodes continuously and not only looking for its spoilers on tumblr lol
List of dramas I've either dropped out of drained brain juice and/or not enough time and/or just can't be bothered, in no particular order (some not listed here are the ones i forgot that i watched and then dropped lol)
1. Joseon Attorney (im sorry Woo Do Hwan i loved you in The King and Mad Dog 🥺)
2. Tell Me That You Love Me (plsss i loved the first two episodes sm and then i couldn't be bothered to continue it idek don't ask)
3. Call It Love (i uhh...i love the lethargic vibe but my brain couldn't brain the gloom)
4. Dr. Romantic 3 (okay i didn't drop this completely. It took me a while to watch it again. I did it for Kim Min Jae yh)
5. Vincenzo (idk why)
6. A Shop for Killers (look i watched this until ep6 and then my brain juice decided to say goodbye to me)
7. Moving (look i loved this one. But i very nearly dropped it for good after that one hiatus and then my sister got me to finish it with her) (just a little disappointed Kang Hoon was still alone in the end)
8. Tomorrow (im sorry Rowoon my brain juice couldn't be bothered idk i think it's got to do with the momentum. I kept looking up Joong Gil and Goo Ryeon spoilers tho lol)
9. Poong, The Joseon Psychiatrist (i didn't finish season 2. Or maybe i didn't even pay attention to season 2 i can't remember what happens in that season lmao. I just wanted the two mains to be happy)
10. Today's Webtoon (sorry Sejeong-ah i love you in BP and Busted)
11. Lovers of the Red Sky (the momentum. Yh I'm pretty sure it's because of that. I love both of the leads in other dramas)
12. Daily Dose of Sunshine. (Too sad. Hits too close to home)
This list goes back to 2021. Doesn't mean i watched all the rest of the dramas that i didn't list lol

Ideas pt 21 (this happens in season 8. they break up in season 5)
Ok! So I'm laying in bed trying to fall asleep BUT THEN! I IMAGINE THIS REALLY CUTE DEXTER X RAVEN SCENE/episode THAT THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW!
Ok! So you know how I said that if EAH got a reboot I think Raven and Dexter would break up 4 or 3 seasons before the show is over? WELL, I JUST THOUGHT OF THE GETTING BACK TOGETHER SCENE! SO IMAGINE...
Sparrow and his band are having a concert and everyone's there. The whole school is jumping and cheering having fun. Now Raven and Dexter have been become friends again after 2 seasons of just breaking up. But then something happened in present time and things are awkward again. (They both know that the other is there) Anyway at the concert their both on opposite sides of the crowd having a good time and the band finished its second to last song. Sparrow speaks into the mic that the next one they'll play will be the last one of the night! Everyone groans and is sad, Sparrow says something again they all start to cheer again then he says, "This one goes out to all the lovers in the house! *he winks and a bunch of girls up front start to squeal and fangirl etc AND YOU KNOW WHAT SONG HE'S PLAYING?! BAD ROMANCE! THE HALESTORM VERSION! (I was also thinking of the song. I hadn't even heard of Halestorm or their version until a while ago. Not even in the song originally by Lady Gaga but I just knew that Halestorm was better lol) After hearing the title everyone starts to scream and cheer and Raven's jumping and clapping along until she hears him say the title of the song. Then she stops. Mid jump. Mid clap. Then she starts to think about Dexter Then for a couple (*the audience can still hear Sparrow singing in the background*) of minutes we watch as she has flashbacks of her and DEXTER! All of their moments from the first time they met up to when they broke up in season 5 or 6. After finishing her flashbacks she's blinking a lot looking dazed and when Maddie looks over to her (because she said something that Raven didn't respond to) and asks if she's ok. She stutters and says she's fine but she actually now has the urge to go find Dexter! (Dexter is going through the same thing and is with his brother) So now the camera pans out to above the crowd switching between Raven and Dexter's point of view of them saying 'excuse me', 'pardon me' trying to find the other! *The whole time the narrators are talking and are on the edge of their seats like us lol* And as they get closer and closer to each other Sparrow is getting closer and closer to the first high note of the song. When they finally found each other they are just standing a few inches away right in the middle of the crowd and are trying to catch their breath. After their breathing settles they both awkwardly say hi at the same time and then Dexter just grabs Raven and dips her as he kisses her! The second their lips touch Sparrows screams out the high note, the clock strikes 12, and fireworks are shot through the sky in the background as we get a close-up of them kissing! Purple magic flames even start to come out of Raven's hands as they kiss firing a big firely purple heart above them, matching the fireworks! The end!
So yeah! I would have this to be a 2 parter episode one in Raven's POV and then one in Dexter's! Let me know what you guys think!

well, when it comes to andor, dark, and the swarm, i like literally everything lol
like, i think i'd actually count all three as some of my favorite shows because they're just so good, no matter from what point you look at it. writing??? amazing. plot??? amazing. characters??? amazing. cinematography??? amazing. acting??? amazing.
i mean, i'm in no way an actual expert, this is more personal interest and experience than anything else but by god, i just think these shows are fucking incredible and they left a lasting impact on me in multiple ways.
also omg since you mentioned it, i can't believe i forgot to list doctor who???? wonderful show, i love it so so much. do you have, like, a favorite era or doctor???
but please do go on about interconnectedness (just not to the point of crying please), i love to hear your thoughts!! :D
they sound like really interesting shows :D if I ever find the time to check them out, I'll let you know :3
omg doctor who it's such a good show. growing up, my favorite doctor was always the 11th doctor (amy was one of my favorite companions, too, and ofc I loved river and she was mostly around when the 11th doctor was around). as I've gotten older I kinda have less favorites if that makes sense lol. really like 12 and really like 10. um, unpopular opinion, but I really like 13 as well. like, I don't know, she has characteristics reminiscent of past doctors but is also very much her own doctor, y'know? I also adore yaz as a companion. in terms of the episodes themselves and the plotlines there, probably 10-11 era, but in terms of doctors my favorites are 11 and 13, I'd say. really really good show though and honestly there's so many interesting parts of it and good episodes from all the seasons.
what about you? do you have a favorite era or doctor??
as for interconnectedness.. I know people always talk about how humans are social creatures, but I feel like it expands beyond that, y'know? everything is connected. long ago stars exploded and those explosions created the elements that we're made of. something incredibly improbable happened to create the moon (because the earth-moon dynamic is very very weird and unlike any other planet-satellite dynamic in the solar system), and because of the moon life was able to form and evolve the way it did on the earth. 2000 years ago people looked up at the sky and created constellations and the zodiac system, and we still use that today despite the position of the sun relative to the constellations has shifted since then.
on a smaller scale—people have always just been people. and they were just living their lives, and yet somehow it all has lead to here and now. and, still, we're just people living our lives. and now we have the capability of being able to connect with people literally across the globe, and isn't that beautiful? that distance isn't as big of a barrier anymore?
and there's someone growing up in the house I grew up on. there's history there—my parents built that house when I was a baby, and my grandma painted my bedroom walls, and I experienced so much there. and now that house is watching another kid grow up and maybe the walls have been re-painted, but the original paint is still there, just hidden. and there are scratch marks on the wall from my now deceased childhood dog because he was just a puppy and not well trained yet when we got him.
and the child growing up there doesn't know any of that, and yet, in some way, we are connected because of it.
and I still think about the best friend I had in kindergarten and my best friend in elementary school and the friends I had in middle school. actually, speaking of doctor who, I had a middle school teacher who was doing a collage project in the ceiling of her classroom. basically it was a bunch of clouds and pictures of the sky. but, there was a little trio of sixth graders (me and two other girls) who loved doctor who. so, our teacher added a bunch of pictures of the TARDIS on the ceiling so that we could try to count them all (we never could). that ceiling is still there, even if I don't talk to those other two girls anymore.
it's just—everything is so connected. you're only a couple people away from any given person. it's crazy to me. and, another thing that's baffling. I wonder how many times I've been in the same room with the same stranger. because I don't remember all the strangers I see, but maybe I've sat in a train with the same stranger I sat on a bus with 5 years prior. maybe I passed a friend on the street years before we ever met. just, stuff like that is wild to me.
I don't want this to get too long, so I'm just going to make one more point: isn't it beautiful how, in the age of globalization, despite all the shortcomings, we've also found new ways to love?
Bare with me, but I'm going to very very briefly talk about parasocialism. Because, for example, Dream is always saying he loves his fans. Wilbur, in his last stream, said he loves his fans. and something they've both brought up is the fact that it's not like the love you feel for a friend or family member, but it's love nonetheless. and isn't that kind of beautiful? that it's possible to have love for people across the globe who you don't know? and it's not the same love as the love you have towards someone you know, but it's love all the same. and the same applies to social media. I love my mutuals. other people are always posting about how they love their mutuals. sometimes that evolves into an actual genuine friendship, and sometimes it doesn't. whatever it is, it's still love and care, and I just think it's really beautiful how deeply we can care about people we've never met and may never meet.
Okay, signing off here. I just love humanity and space and sometimes I'm just really full of love.

speaking of doctor who aus, here's my entire planned out 'season' of benchtrio doctor who episodes:
1. Pilot Lost: Intro to the Clingy Duo, Vespiform parasitic wasp cousins
3. Ice to Meet You: Someone teach this child to drive. Antarctica in 1911, both traveling parties racing have met up for a dinner on a ship. There is a nice man named Phil. There is a not so nice Ice Warrior trying to wipe out the humans before they reach its base.
4. Great Balls of Fire: Tommy somehow manages to get them back to Earth in the right time period, but Tubbo’s wacko English teacher has decided that he’s bored and has announced a school-wide game of dodgeball. If you get hit, you have to write a paper. Only the dodgeballs are a bit more explosive than anticipated…
5. Theseus’ Ship: Tubbo’s book report lands the boys in Ancient Crete where Tommy, confused with Athenian hero Theseus, must go and slay the mighty beast that lays deep within Minos’ maze. But it’s no minotaur that awaits him, but an alien warrior wielding the same ax Tommy sees in his nightmares.
6. Keeping Up With Colony 15: The boys land on a colony on the planet End, far away in another galaxy. There they meet a tall alien boy named Ranboo, who urges them to hide from the cameras watching their every move.
7. Danse Macabre: Tubbo wants to show Ranboo the outside world, so he and Tommy bring him to Earth. Only it’s an Earth full of witchcraft and magic and entirely too much dancing. Thank you, Carrionites!
8. Star Wars: So Camelot is fucking real, even if the sword in the stone is a fucking lightsaber. The sword’s owner, an alien robot, has sworn to wipe out life on the planet if whoever has the sword does not best it in a duel. Unfortunately, Tommy drew the sword and is now King of Fucking England.
9. An Absolute Fuckin’ UNIT: Tommy gets a phone call in the TARDIS from a Mister J. Schlatt, current head of UNIT, and is brought back to Earth to investigate rumors of an evil alien fugitive simply known as ‘Soot’. He also gets the talk when Schlatt sees his fucking son come out of the time machine, what the hell, kid, at least warn a man before you go and put yourself in mortal danger. UNIT did call in another person, though, a masked alien bounty hunter by the name of Dream…
10. Ghost and the Machines: The lads find themselves stranded on a space station five thousand years in the future with only a mysterious hacker known as Ghost to guide them to the last escape pod to the planet below. Meanwhile there’s killer alien sheep on the loose. Watch where they spit, anything blue is acid!
11. Science Project: Time for a field trip! Tubbo and the lads head to the local science museum where they run into a somewhat familiar face. Meanwhile, the Autons are attacking, and Ranboo learns the value of a good proper education.
12.Big Man River: While attempting to go to Washington D.C. for Tubbo’s world history project, the lads end up on a riverboat in the mid 1850s coasting down what is said to be a haunted river. Passengers are going missing, and they say the river is hungry… (guest starring mark twain as himself and the river as the river)
14. Wonder Eight: While visiting the galaxy’s best arcade in the year 2787, an evil computer virus glitch thing takes over the arcade, becoming obsessed with Tubbo after he becomes the first to beat the Lemon Demon, the universe’s most difficult video game. Tommy and Ranboo must work together for literally the first time to save him. Meanwhile Tubbo legitimately sees nothing wrong because he can’t fucking read.
17. The True Meaning of Christmas: It’s Christmas, so Tubbo goes home for the holidays and brings his friends with him. They get separated while shopping, though, as a bunch of metal men come raining from the sky. Tommy and Tubbo end up paired with some poor random human, and Ranboo finds himself in a group with a father and son who are far too calm for the situation.
18. Mozart Wasn’t This Horny: Tubbo’s back in school, and the new music teacher keeps stealing his lunches when he isn’t looking. That’s the least of his concerns, though, when the school is surrounded by a force field and a bunch of freaky space rhinos come in with guns demanding the surrender of an alien fugitive.
19. Memory Book: Ranboo pov. While Tubbo is dealing with Wilbur at the school, Ranboo is having a picnic with Tommy in a nearby park waiting for that night’s meteor shower. Unfortunately, while writing in his memory book, a strangely-muscular squirrel takes it and runs off with it into the city. Ranboo and Tommy follow, and a surprisingly-emotional hunt follows.
20. Martian Manhunt: Tommy takes the other two to Mars to go to the solar system’s first off-planet amusement park. Unfortunately, an alien menace has turned the rain to acid. Luckily for them, their old friend Dream the Time Agent is here to save the day.
21. The Wrong Queen: Tommy wants to meet the queen. They end up meeting the wrong one, though, trapped in a castle in Scotland and thought to be a rebellion as the English and their executioner, a knight known simply as the Angel of Death approaches…
22. The Big Bang Theory: Tubbo’s history report is on the American Manhattan Project, so he and the lads are off to 1940s America where they must combat an alien agent from commandeering the nukes to destroy the Earth in search of a rogue friend of his, someone chillingly referred to as ‘Dream’.
23. Come Together: Stressed out, the boys decide to take a day to themselves and go to watch a Beatles concert- the one from the Ed Sullivan Show, to be exact. Once there, however, the boys discover that the Beatles have been replaced with exact alien replicas bent on using the power of music to brainwash Earth into giving the aliens (The Preens) control. Tommy being a full-blooded alien and thus the only one immune to the mind control, he leaves the other two in the TARDIS and teams up with some random dude named “Will” to save the day, only halfway questioning why ”Will” is also immune…
24. Family Reunion: Tubbo is called back to Earth by his father. Almost immediately, the three of them are separated, Tubbo dragged away by his father and Tommy immediately handcuffed by Dream and knocked unconscious. Ranboo, alone on Earth and with his memory book in tatters at his feet, just sits on a bench until he sees someone almost familiar. Almost. When Tubbo manages to meet back up with him, it’s them versus the time lords who supposedly sold Tommy out, a race to the TARDIS, to Phil’s- Tommy’s TARDIS, to save him
25. Exile Revoked: Tommy is Not doing well, but he’s being much more of a bitch to Dream than he was during his previous capture. His constant attempts to escape have nearly gotten him killed. But he does manage to break out of the cell and is now handcuffed and running through the ship to escape. And there’s the TARDIS, there’s the boys! Now to destroy Dream once and for all, and to discover who exactly these other time lords are and why they feel so familiar…

Big Sky's shooting schedule changed from 7/11/22 - 4/3/23 to 7/7/22 - 12/16/22. Can they shoot a whole season in that amount of time? And why do you think they shortened it?
Ugh, I can't attach anything. @yvrshoots said the second set of dates, I can't find a source for the first set, just a screenshot.
It's possible that BS's season has been shorten to 13 episodes and waiting to see if stunt casting with Reba gives them good ratings so they can extend the season to 20 episodes.

one song every day - vol IV
What’s up? Another month has come to an end, and once again I forgot to upload some days and I'm now delayed. Getting up to date and not apologizing for it is my favorite activity atm. The playlist on Spotycrap is of course, at the bottom.
vol IV spans from November 10th to December 11th, 2022
1. a favorite song you discovered from a TV show: Big White Elephant by In-Flight Safety - They have great music. Thanks The Office US for this amazing song. It appears on Episode 12, Season 8, at around 18:56, when Robert California looks at everybody and realizes that the party he's bought the house for is right in front of him, maybe just not as crazy. All the music on this episode is pretty good, actually.
2. a song that motivates you: CTRL by Technoboy, Tuneboy and DJ Isaac - Whether it's the main drop, or the reverse bass one, this song has everything to motivate me and just go wild. I really like hardstyle like this
3. a song to listen to while working: The Look by Metronomy - What a great band, thanks internet for showing me a masterpiece
4. a song perfect when it's raining: Her Life by Two Feet - Some would consider the song sexy, but what I hear are the pizzicati on the violin, much like raindrops
5. a song that makes you dance: Nadie Sabe Bailar by Entrelineas - Ironic that the song is called 'Nobody knows how to dance" and the music video is exactly the opposite, people dancing, not so well but dancing still. Also ironic that it makes you move
6. a song from your childhood: Run Away With Me by Carly Rae Jepsen - Remember that vine? Yesh.
7. a song while working out: Taste the Night by Going Deeper ft. Ryan Konline on vocals - Whenever you see me skating at La Sabana, this one is on my playlist
8. a song that soothes you: The Space In Between by Jan Blomqvist - There is something to this tune that I can't describe other than like a fresh, cold sip of water in a hot sunny day.
9. a song without words: Sirius by The Alan Parsons Project - Playing this song without 'Eye in the Sky' right after, should be a punishable offense
10. a song that puts you to tears: Gravity by Sara Bareilles - This right here is really personal, but people who know me in depth know that's really hard for me to cry, even if I'm sad, and a lot of times I just wanna cry and it just doesn't happen, and it sucks arse big time. I'm not even ashamed of crying, I just can't. Gravity makes really no difference, but it's the closest I can get.
11. a song you will play on your wedding: As The World Caves In by Matt Maltese - Thanks clem turner, because thanks to his covers I was introduced to Matt Maltese and his amazing music
12. a hit song from the year you were born: Otherside by Red Hot Chili Peppers - One of the first rock bands that I listened to by myself, instead of my mum showing me the music. For more info on that, take a look at this post
13. a classic song you like: Mars from The Planets composed by Gustav Holst - I don't know what they were referring to with 'classical' but my understanding was classical music so, yes. One of my favorite pieces of music
14. a song while commuting: Toro by Liily - Liily is amazing. Other rock band that I really really love. I may actually cover them on #curatedbyhatto: the music some day
15. a popular song from a different country: No Voy en Tren by Charly García - Argentinian rock is without a doubt one of the most important parts of latinamerican music. On a funny note, I heard this song for the first time when it was covered by another musician when I was watching Yo soy Betty, la fea
16. a song for a creative boost: As the World Caves in (Wuki remix) which at the same time is a cover from Sarah Cothran - Well, this song is so good that it appears twice on this list. What can I say?
17. a song that makes you confident: Sax Things by Sunday Noise and Lena Glish - A masterpiece that I discovered thanks to blanc. If you're into tech house, you should him out.
18. a song that's on repeat: Did I Make You Up? by half•alive - half•alive was my most listened to artist this year on spotify. No surprise they were, but surprising it wasn't twenty øne piløts, tbh. They're still two of my three fav bands alongside Pierce the Veil
19. a song by a local artist: Marte by Sábado Santo - Seeing them live was a one of a kind experience. Check them out
20. a song you sing in the car: MANTRA by Bring Me The Horizon - I don't have a car but I remember singing this song with a friend when we were in his car
21. a song that puts you to sleep: truce by twenty øne piløts - Soothing. Perfect. Soft. Tyler and Josh. That was a rhyme, nice
22. a song that reminds you of your friends: Flamingo by Kero Kero Bonito - My friends are a bunch of golden retriever (like me) or chihuahua energy folks, and I think this song sums up the constant, neverending chaos we represent, and the fun that we have
23. a song for a road trip: My Own by Chris Lorenzo - Imagine the car starts going through an empty highway when the beat drops. You get it now?
24. the #1 song on the day you were born: Bent by Matchbox Twenty - The guy's voice reminds me of another vocalist but I can't wuite put my finger on it
25. a song that makes you sentimental: Lullabies by Yuna - I discovered the Adventure Club remix first, then the original version, and with that I was into the world of triphop and I could never come out. I didn't want to, anyway
26. a song you love singing along to: The Great Escape by Boys Like Girls - Tell me, with a straight face, that you can resist singing this every time you listen to it. You can't, I know, I can't either, I have to sing it. Oh, I also discovered this song by accident when looking for blink-182, about 12 years ago
27. a song by your favorite boy band: Big Time Rush by Big Time Rush - Not that creative of me to chose this one but I really loved the TV show and their music
28. a favorite song you learned from a movie: Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield - It appears on "The Ugly Truth" when Abby and Colin go to the river, on a car. Great album by Natasha, as well
29. a song by your favorite solo artist: Take A Chance by Oliver Heldens - It was hard to chose one and in the future I would probably change it, but for now, this one will do
30. a song from your first concert: take 2 sugars by The Loser's Service - Another great Costarican band
you can find the playlist here and if you wanna take the challenge too, here's the pic:
