It's nothign bad I am just very slimey #usually I am not a cough person I am not sure where this is coming from #most of the time I just get a stuffy nose #has my nose gotten stronger #but there are good news too I have already found a VERY good chestnut to put into my pocket this autumn!! its very small! (❁´▽`❁)#it's been a very warm autumn in Germany so far so it has not really felt like fall yet #but yesterday it was all rainy and stormy and I had two new books and it was the best day possible to have a slimey cough (:#and now I feel SO much autumn I am close to buying a set of window colors #I do not know what I would to with the window colors I just have this strong urge in me to buy a window color set #the last time I did a window color was at the birtday of a class mate I think she turned 9 and I made a deer #but for some reason we did this craft 5 minutes before we all had to leave so we had to carry our window color deer home wet #unfortunatly for the deer and me I fell down the stairs of her house and smeared the deer all over me and i screamed the entire drive home #which wasn't very long but it probably felt very long for the mother who had a screaming child covered in window color deer inside her car

Here are my Top9 posts from 2023.

2023 was a weird year where Instagram desperately wanted to become Tiktok, Tiktok still did Tiktok best and now also is the better platform for artists to post image albums on. Twitter died and Tumblr continued its resurgence. If not for Tumblr doing so well I'd feel pretty bad about the year social media-wise. Art-wise though I'm very happy since I managed to significantly upgrade many of my old favorite designs (to use for merch and finally my own site) but also was able to push forward on new illustrations and test out many new series ideas. My goal for 2024 is to keep the momentum going, since there are a few other longterm plans I want to do. Thanks for following!

IIRC, one of the standard academic takes on Dracula is that Mina is rewarded for being a dutiful wife (she learns shorthand, she travels to Budapest) and Lucy suffers for not being that (she has three suitors and wishes she could marry them all, etc).

Today's entry, and the commentary around it, makes me realise how little that holds up, so far at least. Lucy is so painfully dutiful - to her future husband, to her mother, to her friends, to her doctor - and all it's done is made her more vulnerable.

If she eloped with Arthur right now, she might be safe.

If she risked being honest with her mother, she might be safe.

If she put anyone to even slightly more trouble (Arthur, Jack, the servants) and had them stay up with her, she might be safe.

But she behaves like the ideal of a Victorian woman, always deferring to other people and putting their needs first. And that's why she's in so much danger tonight.

She's awful but Madge Buckley looked phenomenal in that MOB dress.

When Chimney wanted to go home he went to the Lees' house I AM NOT OKAY

I'm gonna guess it's been a few weeks since the end of 7x05 based on Buck and Tommy's comfort level with each other. They've been on other dates in the meantime.

A lot of predicted Chimney might fall victim to some kind of crime but nobody that I heard predicted this and I LOVE IT it was so...appropriate? somehow?

Having Buck come out with that goofy rom com trick was somehow perfect? Eddie's smug little smirk (ha ha ha I knew already!) Hen saying "it's about time" and just ALL OF IT yes thank you

I'm somehow really happy we got some firefighting calls during the flashbacks? I've missed them, the season's been a little light on them.
