Every time someone asks if I have tattoos, my first instinct is still to say "no."

I have SEVEN tattoos. Most are on my forearms so I am literally looking at them as I type this. Got the first twelve years ago.

But my brain still hasn't made the adjustment.

I just think it's funny that...

the loudest part of this fandom has been begging for queer!Buck for years. but, the second they actually give the fandom what they want, and Buck has a canon boyfriend, a date he is taking to his sister's wedding, someone he can't stop thinking about, that's... wrong?

you got the rep you were begging for. we have the actor and the rest of the cast openly saying a character is bisexual. we are getting exactly what we asked for.

but now it's not good enough because it's not exactly who you want him to be with?

the definition of bisexuality is not I love every single woman in the world and that one guy. there are a million essays on this very site that go into exactly how biphobic that mindset actually is. it perpetuates the finer details of the patriarchy that everyone hates until it serves their purpose.

you're allowed to not ship something, but to say it's not canon or block a wiki page from being edited to state their relationship is actually extremely biphobic. you got what you want and now you're attacking it. I think that says a lot more about you than it says about the writers who are denying you something they never promised in the first place.

So this is amazing, and I, like other commenters, was reminded of the Back on 74 music video which I'm kind of obsessed with. The Back on 74 choreography is looser and less structured, and it has one feature the CDK video does not - it's all shot in a single take.

One of my life truisms is just this:

You can't blame someone for failing to live up to expectations that they don't know exist.

"No one remembered my birthday-" Well, but did YOU tell anyone it was coming up and you wanted to celebrate it with them?

"I wish someone would see through it when I tell people I'm fine-" Well, but have YOU considered not lying when people ask you how you're doing?

"I am so resentful of my friend because they keep doing this thing that really bothers me-" Well, but have YOU directly communicated that the thing is bothering you?

"I am burning out because my friend keeps expecting me to help them with serious struggles-" Well, but have YOU tried to establish the boundaries you need to feel okay?

"No one ever asks me about this thing I really care about-" Well, but have YOU brought it up yourself?

"I miss my friend but they haven't texted me-" Well, but have YOU been reaching out to them?

Sometimes people are mean, uncaring assholes, in which case you get to be mad. But sometimes you just need to communicate better. Try communication before you assume someone doesn't care!

And it's adorable that there are like a dozen fics right now about Buck trying to guess Tommy's coffee order which he never seems to want to tell him.

It's such a fun little moment when Buck doesn't know Tommy's coffee order, but he tried to guess. And instead of Tommy lying and saying that's how he likes it, Tommy makes a little joke out of it by saying, "Mmm so not like that" before continuing to drink the coffee.

It's a fun moment in general, but it gets even better when you remember the episode is called 'You Don't Know Me'. Because Buck and Tommy don't really know each other, not yet. But that coffee date? That was the start of them really getting to know each other.

The coffee order being wrong said "you don't know me, at least not yet."

don't know how to word it exactly but what sways me more toward tommy as buck's love interest than any other LI before is how different the initial infatuations look in comparison

abby, ali, taylor and natalia all were interested in buck but in the 'walks into dangerous situations for a living and is hot' way (and also 'young and prioritizes me' for abby, to top it off, and 'died' for natalia)

but tommy is a firefighter, pilot, etc. and used to the whole 'walks into danger' bit and knows its bullshit so all he sees in buck is an adorable dork with a heart of gold, even more adorable enthusiasm, and some awkwardness thrown into the mix - and this is how buck actually is most of the time, even when he walks into danger without hesitation

and tommy still says, 'yeah, I like this one'.
