2023 was a weird year where Instagram desperately wanted to become Tiktok, Tiktok still did Tiktok best and now also is the better platform for artists to post image albums on. Twitter died and Tumblr continued its resurgence. If not for Tumblr doing so well I'd feel pretty bad about the year social media-wise. Art-wise though I'm very happy since I managed to significantly upgrade many of my old favorite designs (to use for merch and finally my own site) but also was able to push forward on new illustrations and test out many new series ideas. My goal for 2024 is to keep the momentum going, since there are a few other longterm plans I want to do. Thanks for following!

Et voici mon Best Of Instagram, c'est à dire mes publications les plus aimées en 2022. Un peu tardivement vu certaines difficultés techniques... C'est une "tradition", je le fais tous les ans, sauf que cette année j'ai dû le faire "à la main", sous powerpoint 😤😰. En effet aucune application gratuite (#TopNine, #BestNine, #NineGridPhotos et tant d'autres) n'a fonctionné. J'ai essayé sur iPhone, sur Android et sur PC mais rien à faire, à chaque fois cela "plantait" avant la fin. Ou pire encore on me demandait mes données de CB, sur une application soit-disant gratuite !?! (⚠️ Alerte Arnaque⚠️).   Pourtant toutes les années précédentes je n'avais jamais rencontré le moindre problème, en 5 minutes chrono mon super tableau/mosaïque Best Of était prêt à poster ! Je ne comprends pas que ça ne fonctionne ni sur iPhone ni sur Android ni sur PC ❓ La seule "explication" qui me vient c'est qu'en 2022 j'ai commencé à publier des vidéos et réels, est-ce cela qui bloque la création d'un tableau sur ces applis ❓❓❓ . En tout cas j'espère que vous apprécierez ce petit récapitulatif de mes "meilleures" publications en 2022, vu le TEMPS que j'y ai passé, "à l'ancienne" / à la main sous Powerpoint (retour aux années 2000, LOL 😅) => Et vous, avez-vous rencontré des problèmes avec ce type d'applications gratuites ? I need to point out that of my top13 posts on Instagram from the year, 11 were from the 84 series. I'd say my tumblr top9 is a more accurate yearly summary. Instagram had several major algorithm changes this year, which hurt the reach of pretty much everything else I posted. Overall 2022 is a weird year to look back on. Life was bad so although I had a lot of great ideas to work on, most of them are stuck in brainstorming text files still. Honestly, considering the hellscape the year was, I feel like  2022 was a win since I only had to stop posting for 2 months and when I was able to make art I was able to significantly improve some of my past series.
