very serious guy. not much going on in the emotion department. very secret soft side that only comes out when the two of you are alone.
not that he’s mean to you in public, he’s just so 😐. like mf can you smile.
most definitely a gym rat, but not the corny kind. he goes to the gym, works out, and that’s that. once you start dating, you’re happy to tag along with if it means spending time with him.
you literally frown when you learn how he works out (no music, no pre-work out, he just raw dogs it. he’s insane)
surprisingly, he actually likes when you go to the gym with him. it’s a nice change of pace because you’re always shimmying to your music or talking his ear off.
he especially loves it when you praise him for pushing through a difficult rep. also won’t admit it out loud but he loves when you beg him to coordinate gym outfits.
big big foodie. comparing his stomach to an endless pit is an understatement. not picky either, so he’s always open to trying new things and making you try them as well.
he knows how to cook idc. eating out is expensive and he has to keep the gainz. he’s really chill about it tho. you didn’t even know he knew basic survival skills until you went over to his place for dinner for the first time.
like you knew his apartment only had a couch and a tv so your expectations weren’t that high (they weren’t high at all).
but when he had prepared a very simple but DELICIOUS dinner??? you were shocked to say the least.
he’s neutral about pda. doesn’t really care for it but really likes it if you’re the touchy type. let’s him know that you’re proud of being seen with him.
has one of those unnecessarily large trucks that you literally have to climb to get into. it’s embarrassing.
after it rains, he purposely parks in front of huge puddles so that he can watch you try to parkour into the vehicle. he thinks it’s hilarious. you think he’s a dick.
does the one hand holding the bottom of the steering wheel thing when he drives. RAGHHHHHHHHH
also subconsciously touches you while driving. you guys will be at a stop light and his hand will reach over, gently punching or tapping your knee/thigh until the light turns green. you don’t even think he realizes he does it.
stiff ass sleeper. does not move an INCH during the night. it’s sorta weird, but kinda sweet cause he cuddles through the whole night.
he’s a weird combination of a heavy and light sleeper. if you shift to get out of bed to pee, he immediately wakes up. but if you come home and he’s napping, nothing on the planet will wake him up.
likes temple kisses. receiving them mostly. don’t ask, it just feels right.

mild 👀 anger issues. patience is a must because he can get really worked up and you’ve gotta be the one to sorta calm him down.
always injured??? somehow, he always manages to make himself bleed.
you’re convinced he injures himself on purpose so he can watch you play nurse (he does sometimes)
he adores when you pout as you clean his cuts, lecturing him about about being more careful.
anyway, dating guts is cool. 10/10 recommend

Random Berserk HC's: Guts Edition
Because I should be writing bridge scenes but want to be lazy because I am tired. Some of these are supported by canon and are kinda just character observations, some are things my brain made up because it could. WARNING: dark content and a mini essay ahead.
Guts has impressive large motor control, able to finesse with a sword extremely well. However his fine motor control is pretty trash, comparatively. Don't ask him to crack eggs unless you want some extra calcium spontaneously added to your diet.
In spite of his strength, though, he can be pretty gentle. With things that are really small and delicate, he might have an accident, but if he's touching someone, or petting something, he can be very tender.
Speaking of - Guts is definitely a cat person. Dogs are too loud and too chaotic, plus he has some questionable experiences with them. But cats? Cats are cool. Cats can't betray you because that's just not the relationship you have with a cat in that kind of society. They also are more respectable from his standpoint, able and willing to defend themselves and taking no shit from anybody. Plus I bet you he's a sucker for soft and fluffy textures. They're a luxury he doesn't often get to afford.
Guts doesn't really have a favorite food in most circumstances - but if there's fish to be had, he will gorge himself on it, and nobody is getting in his way. Fish, especially freshwater fish, would likely have been something he ate very rarely prior to the world falling apart; rivers and streams were owned by nobility, and they also owned the fish in them, so trout, greyling and pike were objectively rich people food. Same goes for Venison, which was also rich man's game. Ocean going creatures were usually fair game, but things like Salmon, sharks, and crabs were reserved by those who could afford them. Though I highly doubt Guts would think twice about poaching, especially for fish, provided he was confident about not getting caught.
Guts can be quite shy, in the right circumstances. If he is expected to be naked around strangers (such as a public bath), or to talk to people who are way too interested in him, or be around anyone whose judgement of him matters, he can be painfully shy. Unfortunately, shy and bashful are not the same thing, and his response to that anxiety is the same as if the people around him were hostile - the effect of course being that they do become hostile or wary.
Contrary to the above, however, I feel that at his core, Guts is a Runner, not a fighter- at least when it comes to things he doesnt know how to handle, like emotional conflict. You see him do this mentally with Casca when she confronts him about Griffith - he doesn't physically run away, but the disassociation is kicking in and he reverts to child-like defenses/excuses to try and avoid being in trouble. In other circumstances, I could easily see him choosing to just wash his hands of a difficult situation and walk or run away from it rather than deal - I mean, he basically does this all the time after the eclipse, but even before then - he doesn't even try to reconcile with Griffith, because it was easier to just assume he was right than to confront the man about his feelings.
With that said: Guts well and truly is not a very sympathetic, or even empathetic, person. He is self interested to a degree Griffith only wishes he could be; if it's not in the best interest of himself and his own, then you'd better have a good reason to bug him with it. That isn't to say he can't be compassionate, or go out of his way to help people sometimes, but usually if he does its because he stands to gain something or quiet a discomfort which often has nothing to do with how the other person is feeling and everything to do with himself. He is that way even in the GA, though it becomes much more punctuated post eclipse.
However, he can be quite tender and loving when the person in question is someone he really cares about. He is the guy who would move heaven and earth for someone who meant the world to him, and canon rather proves that. However, being emotionally stunted and socially awkward does mean that even under better skies (AU) he would have difficulty expressing his feelings in appropriate ways.
Speaking of which, there are two possible reasons for that stuntedness - his upbringing is kind of undeniable, but personally I like the idea of him being a high functioning autistic person. He's odd, awkward, and hyper fixated enough. But that's just me. :)
Guts is quite smart, actually - he has a good head for logic and notices patterns in familiar mediums (fighting) quite easily. He doesn't really fit the mold of "ultra intuitive fighter" to me, which says something to his wit. That said, he definitely is more of a numbers guy than a words guy. Math would probably be pretty easy for him, and though his job as a merc miiiight possibly necessitate him knowing several languages, I doubt he could speak most of them fluently. Though I do like to imagine that he grasps the concept of translation better than most people - he isn't remotely attached to his native tongue or peoples, really, since he doesnt entirely possess the latter and the former might not even be a single language, given that he grew up with mercs from all over. For all I know, he may not speak any language completely fluently, just borrowing bits and pieces here and there from everywhere in a bid to be understood. Which, ironically, would make him popular for sorting out civilian conflict since he might recognise something they said.
On that note - Guts is a raider and more to the point of this one, a raiders captain; I won’t go into too much detail about that now, since I’ve got another post in the works explaining that, but to cap: Raiders were not usually good people. Raiding parties were effectively professional terrorists whose job was to use intimidation to pillage and loot, and that, unfortunately, tended to include “lustful spoils”. Now, Guts, having the history he does, probably isn’t too fond of the idea that his men were doing those kinds of things, and if he caught them at it a part of me feels like he might intervene, if the situation seemed intense enough. However, I do not actually believe he would order his men not to do that, and would largely look the other way so long as it wasn’t “in his face” so to speak. This is because he lives in a world where he’s been conditioned exactly like them, if not more so having been raised by mercs, and though he might never personally engage in such activities, the idea of “right of conquest” is still very much alive in his head. Guts lives in a very medieval inspired world, and it was just understood for much of the time and even before that when men came knocking on your door to steal your stuff, they might take a piece of action for themselves “by rights”. What’s more, post eclipse Guts is quite aversive to helping people being assaulted unless they’re, like, actively disturbing his sleep. So the idea of him getting pissed off and fight-or-flighty if he’s near enough to hear or witness the act in the GA? Yeah, I can definitely see that. But going out of his way to be a hero and intervene? There’d have to be some extenuating circumstances for that one. Personal investment in the person counts; for instance if it were Casca being attacked, or heaven forbid even one of his own men, I think he would go off the rails over that. But if it was just some stranger? Eh, probably not.

something something fifteen Dazai somehow gets one of those cheap handycams and starts filming everything
his first video is of him walking down the port mafia hallway, eating a banana and inspecting the device (pressing random buttons, zooming in and out of his face, you know what teens do) and when he finishes eating the banana he smirks, places the peel carefully on the floor instead of throwing it out and waits.
ten seconds later Chuuya can be seen walking down the hallway and Dazai yells something along the line of chibi is so short you look like an ant from here and of course, as predicted, Chuuya runs at him cursing and yelling, steps on the peel and falls face first. Quite comically too, just as Dazai imagined.
cue the camera view going spiral as Dazai laughs and bolts, an angry Chuuya screaming bloody murder chasing after him and the video ends abruptly.

what are your thoughts on the siblings' relationships between each other?
i think i've already talked about some of this in other posts but idk how detailed i went with them, so sorry if some of this sounds a bit repetitive
beware. hc heavy, like usual ! "[hc]" in places that aren't canon-compliant whatsoever 🫡
i think out of all three trios - the powerpuff girls, the rowdyruff boys, and the powerpunk girls - the puffs have the best support system for each other. it doesn't necessarily make them the closest, i actually hc that a lot of their differences gradually make it harder to get along over the years until certain character arcs help overcome obstacles that had impeded on their relationships with each other. in this regard, i also think the puffs are the group to experience the most change overall.
blossom and bubbles probably started out a lot closer during childhood because buttercup was at the height of her tomboy era (an era that never really ends, ofc !!) and they didn't have a lot of overlap in the activities they enjoyed doing. it's not necessarily a negative thing, either; their love and support for each other was a lot less complicated during childhood, and even if buttercup split off more frequently to hang out with her dudebros, bubbles and blossom still had a place for her when she came back.
however, because of how i think each of them grow up individually, it's actually bubbles who kind of splinters off from the group in their teen/young-adult years.
this is mostly because of how blossom and buttercup find their sense of selves more 'easily'. blossom becomes a steady, unmoving pillar of ice; she's still loving and compassionate, but she's generally sharper and colder in demeanor even when she's being sincere. blossom is also somebody who tries to be pragmatic and keep her cool, which is why buttercup and her butted heads a lot as kids; as an adult, she becomes almost… inaccessible for more emotional needs.
buttercup doesn't need blossom for emotional support. she never really has. imo she learned in her tween years how to self-manage, or which friends to choose to confide in: friends who weren't blossom. for the two of them, it's an understanding - blossom will always be there for whatever issues her sisters may have, but sometimes just sharing ice cream is better than trying to get blossom to give you a pep talk.
likewise, buttercup has her own things she sucks at helping people with. fitting in, making friends, dealing with loneliness… are some pretty big ones. she's never had a problem with confidence or approaching people - at least, not in the same way bubbles has.
which leaves bubbles without the supports she really needs. bubbles, who has the emotional depth and vastness of the ocean, who has always just wanted harmony and to be liked. for people to get along. sure, there are instances where she can turn to her sisters for help or advice or support, or even the professor, but none of them really connect with her after a certain stage in her life.
somewhere during adolescence, blossom and buttercup land with both feet on the ground, but bubbles is left adrift. her sisters know who they are, or who they aspire to be. they don't reshape themselves to suit other people, and yet, people still come to them.
the thing with kind, loving kids like bubbles is that sometimes they don't have the thicker skin to withstand how mean other kids can get in middle school, high school, college, etc. this isn't to say bubbles can't stand up for herself or doesn't know when to put her foot down - out of all of her sisters, i think she's the most stubborn and passionate when it comes to things she cares about.
it's just to say that the heroic reputation definitely got to her, when it didn't get to her sisters. so bubbles drifts away from them because she doesn't really know who she is, what she wants to be; she keeps changing and acting different. one week she's the soft-spoken neighbor, the next day she's a bright and energetic cheerleader, maybe next month she'll be an aspiring artist. she's trying to be whatever shape fits the mold of expectation and - at the time-frame i indulge a lot of my content in - it's not working out for her.
eventually the puffs will regain the closeness they had as kids. i just think they're the most prone to fluctuation; two sisters aren't prepared to be emotionally vulnerable, and one of them is too much so, and they all need to work on themselves before they can really work on relationships with other people. and that's a constant growth, which imo ultimately benefits them in the long run. but for now they're a little complicated.
that's not to say the ruffs aren't complicated, because they definitely are as well.
it's more to do with how they grew up than anything by nature. in my hc brick was kind of prized as the son with the most potential, and that snowballed into a lot of deluded lines of thinking that inevitably led to him being a problem-starter with an ego-feeding martyr complex.
not to put all the blame on brick for the dysfunction of he and his brothers, but he's certainly responsible for most of it. boomer's not exactly any help, though; it's him and brick who butt heads most often as children, and as they get older, things continue to worsen.
this is mostly because of brick's refusal to acknowledge when he's at fault, as well as his unwillingness to change in general. boomer's patience has always been relatively thin (perhaps a surprise to some [hc]) so it would only be a matter of time before brick makes him snap. that's an event that results in boomer rarely being home the same time brick is unless to sleep, driving the wedge between them even deeper.
where's butch in all of this ? well, he's the rope-toy that his brothers keep tugging back and forth between them. he's on brick's side, obv - no, he's on boomer's side ! so on and so on.
in reality, butch is just trying to keep things… civil, at the very least. ik a lot of fandom tends to hc butch as more hot-headed and argumentative, but i like the idea of him being somebody who seems like he's just going with the flow, while in reality having a lot more to do with the current state of social situations than people realize: as such, i think he tries to mediate for his brothers when he can.
secretly, butch is on boomer's 'side' most of the time. not that it's really his fault. brick isn't exactly the easiest to get along with and while butch rarely retaliates, that's not to say brick hasn't hurt him or his feelings before. as i said in this post - there is a lot that brick has to apologize for.
problems with brick aside, there's also the factor that i don't think he and boomer would've ever achieved absolute closeness anyways solely because of their personalities. brick is kind of a helicopter-friend, and i think that kind of approach (especially the more pressuring form that brick takes on sometimes) would really get on boomer's nerves. boomer's incredibly independent and seeks out company when he feels like it.
whereas, butch has always embodied more of a mellow presence suitable for most company. he's a shoulder to lean on, always has an ear to listen to somebody's troubles - it's how he can keep his relationship intact with both his brothers without a huge falling out. he tends to keep a lot of his personal troubles to himself (i enjoy him being the real martyr parallel to brick's martyr complex lmao).
this doesn't rule out butch's ability to be angry, though. there's certainly a lot of witheld resentment and hurt he's held on to - maybe just because he doesn't know how to let it go - and one of these days he'll inevitably lose his composure. in my hc it'll result in him lashing out irreversibly and essentially kicking brick's ass back into gear, but that will be a while off.
for now, they love each other at a complicated distance.
saying the punks love each other at all is a questionable statement. brute split off from her sisters as soon as she relieved them of oppressor plutonium's hold and very rarely looks back. it's a wonder she remembers to send her sisters money and pay their rent [hc], to the point that brat suspects it's an automated payment that brute actually forgot about or isn't concerned enough about to follow up on.
brat and berserk are lumped together, sure, but they're hardly close. brat feels like she was burdened with responsibility when it comes to berserk. they're worlds apart from each other in terms of maturity and independence; brat loves berserk more than brute, but it's almost,, a friendship as opposed to the unconditional love that siblings are supposed to have for each other.
there's no support system to speak of for the punks. brat is an isolationist at heart and doesn't have the patience or social battery to keep up with berserk, who in turn has no solid role model to look up to and resorts to extremes to gain attention. they are diametrically opposed.
unlike for the puffs and ruffs, there's zero resolution for the punks among themselves. they reach out to other people, make friends that way, but are never - and were never - particularly close to each other as sisters.
sort of like an opposite to the puffs, how they seem to have a constant draw to each other in the end. the punks are flipped magnets constantly repelling away from each other.
the taste in friends they have is a lot different, too. berserk seeks out people who remind her of brat (ie; her friendship with boomer, her crush on blossom - both two people are aloof and hard to get close to, and whose attention is hard-earned but worth it once you get it).
brat in general is a bit of a social chameleon, but ultimately goes for soft-natured, kind-hearted people - people who are very different from than her sisters (ie; billy and kristen, two normies who are entirely unrelated to the turbulence of brat's day-to-day life.)
and then there's brute, who seeks out no one. (with rare exceptions.)
TL;DR: from 'best relations' to 'worst', it goes puffs, ruffs, and punks. each of them complicated in their own way, and the concept of unconditional love getting more unfamiliar in the same order.
for my own sake there's also a trend across the groups where 1 person is distinctly apart from the rest in some way: bubbles mentally, brick emotionally, and brute physically.
i just have a thing for patterns. there are even more but it'd end up being confusing to talk about - and it's kind of irrelevant, i just felt like pointing out the one mentioned above.

So a tiny hc i have is that everyone in cú's family (mother side) blush in a way that is just... doesn't matter that they're the most unhinged and bloodthirsty warriors from the most brutal family of Ulster (and from Irish mythology tbh), doesn't matter that getting on their wrong side essentially guarantees you a horrific and painful death... it's nearly impossible to not think 'cute...' when they blush. It's much easier to get Cú (and Naoise) to blush than the other cousins (like Cormac or Conall) but when they do blush, it's quite the spectacle as well tbh.

headcanon i'll absolutely write more about later and probably draw it out: aether's wings are broken. after the fight with the unknown god, he quite literally fell from the sky in teyvat and, when he woke up, his wings were seriously injured. he doesn't know what happened to them exactly, if it was the falling or something that the unknown god did to them, but no matter how much he tries, it's like he can't heal them back to their original state. long gone are the days when he could expand his six long wings to fly whenever he wanted, not a care in the universe... now, all that's left of his wings are shattered pieces, resembling stained glasses glued to his back, fragmented to their roots and completely useless. they resemble burnt roots.
he misses them so, so dearly. flying was his favourite activity. it's the main reason why he avoids gliding at any cost—it tastes too bitter. just a fancy way of falling, is how he sees it.
he avoids touches on his back because of this. any contact around the area can be very painful. and if he ever allows your muse to see them... never comment on it. it's his way of silently trusting them.

Do you have any thoughts on ppg x ppnkg outside of the Color Coded ones?
yes and no. there are one or two i can see the appeal of for other people in the fandom, but for myself i don't really care about it. i'm a picky multishipper ig
i can see blossrat in a romantic sense, sometimes. i've talked about it a little [here], though it's based more on generalizations of them rather than my specific hcs for them.
mostly when i envision blossom and brat together, it's more like friendship. academic rivals to friendly competition.
it's a little difficult to see them interested in each other. the few times i've seen the ship brought up, it's almost like blossom and brat have to be declawed in order to get along with each other - which imo is pretty boring when i think both of them are very strong feminine leaders who know what they want.
for me [hc] brat is way too manipulative to be somebody blossom would really want to get involved with. they'd be uncooperative given how comfortable they are taking the lead + doing things their own way, which leads more into that comedic push-and-pull style of competition i mentioned. they're a good duo when they put their differences aside to work together, but it's very rare that they need to.
blossrat is more like a guilty pleasure for when i feel bad that brat can't find a girlfriend that suits her tastes - but even then i don't think blossom fits the bill.
even as a more dysfunctional relationship i don't think there's much it would bring to the table that'd be very entertaining. hate-fucking isn't a dynamic that really catches my attention unless there's some deeper elements to it, but as i've said before, i think blossrat is the type of relationship where that dynamic would fizzle out quite quickly. from passionate hate to eventual disinterest as they grow and move on from that petty competitive phase.
the only other mixed ship i kind of see potential in is bersercup. that one is totally more of a cope for the fact that they can't get who they really want, or as a ploy to catch said interests' attention. and something that would definitely be suggested by berserk that buttercup got more or less cajoled into playing along with (in the friendship trio of berserk, boomer, and buttercup.)
there's no real romance for them imo ? no real sense of attraction, either. like berserk and buttercup only come together under the circumstance of using each other; the relationship is some kind of deal or transaction with an expectation that it will be short-lived.
they have enough similarities to be friendly-ish, but those same similarities might be what drive them apart from each other too. both berserk and buttercup are short-tempered, argumentative, stubborn, and reluctant to apologize when they're in the wrong.
the things they differ on are probably what they fight over to begin with. while both being self-serving types, buttercup knows when to put aside her own wants for the sake of other people. she's compassionate and empathetic even if she seems all aloof. there are plenty of arms she's willing to twist to have things her way - to an extent.
berserk doesn't have that same worldview. she's selfish and takes what she wants without care for consequences or how she often gains at the expense of others' losses.
while i think buttercup is a little more morally gray than she'd want to admit, there's only so far those boundaries can be pushed. imo [hc] she'd be able to overlook the blatant theft and policy violations berserk regularly commits, but it'd be a bigger deal for her to try and leap the hurdle that is berserk's emotional stuntedness.
therefore bersercup is more like,, some kind of lost bet or deal, using each other for something else, or really hate-fucking. they're catty enough that 'fuck or fight' could be a big part of their interactions.
otherwise, not a lot of mixed ppg x ppnkg ships interest me. i don't really have a lot of thoughts on them. there's two i'm totally against, which is brute with bubbles or blossom (sorry, it just wouldn't work !) but the rest just kind of exist beyond my radar.
it's more because i don't really see them being plausible. blosserk, brutercup, and bratubbles' main appeal is the fact that they're counterparts and that they're kind of written to be in those pairs; i feel like there'd be a fascination or point of intrigue specifically for the ppnkg coming across girls like them, who mirror them, etc. and how the ppg kind of defy everything that the ppnkg were taught by opp plutonium ?
even with that, i don't ship all three pairings. i don't think brat and bubbles - in my characterization, at least - would get along very well. none of my blues get along 😭😭and for blosserk and brutercup, they follow the pattern of the ppnkg fixating on the ppg and trying to explore the feelings that come with it. (for berserk, blossom is her first obsession + first lesson; for brute, buttercup is somebody whose scales she wants to tip.)
due to how the ppnks have a much more disparaging relationship as siblings, they don't really give each ppg's siblings much thought. for example, berserk is totally tunnel-visioned on blossom and even forgets that blossom has sisters, even though it obviously makes sense for her to. brute remembers, but doesn't really care; they're useless to her and don't serve the same purpose to brute as buttercup does.
if i were to involve bratubbles in this too, then i'd say brat would probably be neutral at best towards buttercup and blossom if she had an interest in bubbles. it's mostly more to do with the fact that brat won't make enemies so long as she thinks people will have a use in future. that being said, i think she can also be manipulative and crafty and would acknowledge blossom and buttercup for as long as they play a part in any plans she had.
there's just not a lot of ground for me to walk on in regard to mixed ppg x ppnkg i guess ? or maybe it's just that there's very little ground covered and thus my view on things is somewhat limited.

i've seen a variety of different takes on the mixed ships, but none of it has ever really hit right ? i think i'm just really picky when it comes to ships, like i have more ships with normies than i do ppg x ppnkg + atp i'm not sure how much of it has been influenced by the circles i'm in or just my increasingly specific style of shipping lmao
if anybody has any ideas of how mixed ppg x ppnkg ships would actually work out i'd love to know. i'm open to ,,, most of them i think i just kind of lack understanding of how they'd fit together.
