i needed to talk and my irl friend doesn't read my texts if i talk too much

i'm not understanding the bedrotting thing (on tiktok) and like the response to it. like maybe my definition is off bc i can't find the og video bc tok's search feature is dog shit

but like. whyy are we making "a trend??? i've had to spend [long time] in bed from [mental illness] and had to [thing that is looked down upon in society]" response videos

i'm really not seeing the connection here. like. it's laying in bed for a long time i'm assuming???? like okay ?? that's an everyone thing. it's not like misusing mental health terms or taking up resources for ppl who need it. everyone has their own bed. bedrotting isn't a mental health term. ppl lay in bed for a long time for all types of reasons. 🧍🧍🧍🧍🧍🧍

like can you imagine if someone was like "new trend alert !! wall leaning. where instead of standing, you lean on every wall as much as possible" and then everyone was like "a wall leaning trend?? i have to lean on walls so i don't pass out and you're calling it a trend??" like. what??? ppl lean on walls. now people are leaning on more walls.

like. ppl made their own term. used their own resources. they're not infiltrating other mentally ill ppls online spaces. they're literally just resting. i really don't get the response.

like i'm not tryna be like "PPL ON TIKTOK SO ANNOYING SO DUMB U G H" bc i think there is enough of that already. like i get annoyed but i'm not with this topic. i just have been seeing wackass shit on my fyp and i need to talk about it at least a little and i don't want to add negativity to tiktok rn. or ever
