SHADOW KNIGHT HEADCANONS

aka things from my rewrite

Appearance:

They have pointed ears. They’re not as large as an elf’s or half elf’s ears, really just the size of a human’s ear… But pointed.

They’re skin sparkles. (Edward who?) Idk why I added this I just like the idea of Laury lookin like he’s rocking body glitter 24/7 ig. It’s most noticeable in direct sunlight.

They’re eyes are reflective, like a cats, and often glow in the dark. They’re eyes also appear more… empty… than a regular person’s. Almost uncanny.

When in their full Shadow Knight form, their irises become red, and the whites of their eyes turn black. The skin around their eyes also becomes red and cracked, almost irritated looking.

They have fangs. Much like this v

They each have a scar pertaining to the way in which they died. (Assuming it wasn’t something like poison). It is usually a dark grey or black color, but not always.

When they are premature, their fingers and toes are blacken. This is called the corruption. Each SK has at least some, but the amount tells you how long they resisted gaining their immortality. The longer they go without gaining their immortality, the further up the corruption creeps, only stopping at the shoulders and hips.

They have Rune Scars and Tattoos. The tattoo is located on their palms and is the source of their SK abilities. It’s embedded with the curse of binding so it cannot be removed or carved out. The scars are on their face, three claw marks on each cheek. These are referred to as The Tears. These scars enhance their SK abilities.

While in their full SK form, their scar runes turn black and emanate pure darkness. Their fingernails also grow into claws that are extremely sharp and nearly unbreakable.

All SKs appear pale, no matter their skin tone. They have no red/pink/orange undertones bc their blood technically no longer flows.

They often appear very ridged or mannequin like. Standing either too perfectly or too hunched over. Again, uncanny.

Because of all these physical traits, Shadow Knights are very easy to spot, assuming you know what to look for. Many trying to hide or blend in, will hide their heads, faces, and hands.

THE… OTHER STUFF:

Their body temperature fluctuates quite a bit. Generally, theyre cold to the touch, because yk their dead. But when they feel strong emotions like anger or happiness their temp rises, possibly to the point where they feel feverish. The only emotions that actively make them colder are sadness and fear.

Their temp also rises when the Calling comes a knocking. Rising hotter and hotter the longer they try to ignore or fight it.

It’s impossible to sleep in the Nether, though the reason is unknown. Because of this, Shadow Knights don’t require sleep. They still can sleep, but it’s not a necessity. Premature Shadow Knights however, still become tired and can still feel the physical repercussions of having no sleep.

Similarly, SKs also no longer need to eat or drink. However again, prematures do. Since not much grows in the nether, they’re forced to eat Nether Wart. It’s essentially a very tough, charcoal tasting mushroom. It’s their only source of food OR water as water cannot be found anywhere else in the Nether.

While they’re in the Nether, their blood becomes cold to accommodate for the extreme heat. Because of this they need to be careful about regulating their emotions while in the nether so their blood doesn’t overheat.

Nether time is faster than Overworld time. A year in the Nether is only a few months in the Overworld, if that.

Premature SKs can be killed the same ways a human can be, due to their lack of immortality. A full SK however, is a bit more tricky. Their physical form can be killed, though it is more difficult due to a combination of things, but they respawn. If their body dies, is will *poof* disappear and reappear back in the Nether on an alter. The amount of time it takes to respawn depends on the severity of their injury. A full SK can only be permanently killed with an enchanted Netherite weapon (hehe minecraft reference). These are extremely rare and hard to come by. …Zenix has one…

When a PMSK (Premature Shadow Knight) is trained, they fight against real, full SKs. They could very well be killed during their training, call it natural selection. The PM is expected to kill the Full SKs they’re fighting against.

Soul sand houses the souls of innocent lives taken by Shadow Knights. Their souls not only add fuel to their power, but also gives strength to the Shadow Lord/Shad.

In Shad’s eyes, someone with magicks or brains is often more valuable than someone who is physically strong. Though physical strength is needed in order to be a SK, if they are not particularly clever and they have no magicks, they aren’t very useful. Often used as simple pawns or sacrifices.

The first ever Shadow Knight was some random guy named Randal. He didn’t fit any of the criteria, in fact he was just some farmer who ate a bad potato and suffered the consequences. Shad only resurrected him to experiment a bit.

A Shadow Knight’s armor isn’t actually armor. It’s more like a shell that pops out when their body recognizes it’s needed. Or at least when it thinks it does. These shells are generally identical, but they do each have some variations depending on the person and their alignment. Their weapons are an extension of this shell as well, and can be any hand held weapon. Weather is a sword, hammer, mace, or even daggers. Swords are just most people’s go-to. Along with this, they cannot drop their weapons as they are basically a part of them. The only way to rid of it is by… sucking?? it back into the shell. Think of venom. But less… slimy.

They’re impervious to fire/lava. At any stage, full or pm.

Do you have any Mirror GSA headcanons? 👀

i was going to draw some more stuff with the actual mir gsa but im going through some weird artblock rn so heres some text instead 😍

unlike my gameverse mirror counterparts where they have their own world and own histories, animeverse mirror counterparts are manifestations of the regular counterparts most aggressive worst traits or critical flaws. (ironically thats more in-line with the real game lore than my game lore but anyways) rather than being its own dimension, ultimately the purpose of the dimensional mirror in this universe is to create adversaries to help the regular versions of those characters realize their own flaws and thus become a better version of themselves. they arent meant to be defeated through regular combat, theyre a good bit stronger than the regular counterparts for one reason or another and just respawn through the mirror indefinitely if you can manage to shatter them anyways. theyre supposed to be like a puzzle. once the regular counterparts have some sort of epiphany about their flaws and themselves, the mirror counterparts have served their purpose and so shatter permanently

thats not to say the mirror counterparts arent their own people though... they dont have their own histories or world they came from (which causes some conflict with arthur later down the line) but the mir gsa are still very close with each other relationship-wise and have their own feelings on things going on. once they start shattering one by one, it becomes a sort of existential and moral crisis for people on both sides. is it worth it becoming a better person if that means one of you automatically dies? something something is it possible to escape one's own fate and purpose; the whole gang attempts to answer that question by attempting to get the remaining mirror counterparts somewhere where they can just live their life. but how i have it written right now is that all of them just shatter in the end and the regular counterparts come out of it with a great, but grim, appreciation for them, despite how much the mirrors initially antagonized them. and then they seal away the dimensional mirror so no one else, mirror or regular, needs to suffer the same fate

my friend keeps telling me thats really sad though, that the mirror counterparts just Dont get a happy ending and inherently cant. which... YEAH.... it works out as advancement of the regular counterparts characters just fine but its pretty unsatisfying to be like yeah they all die, its sad and the reg counterparts are traumatized but better people I Guess and then the mirror is sealed away like a game of fucking jumanji to be eventually dug up and have new people go through the same experience again. ill most likely rewrite some aspects of it because of that but thats how it is for now *jazz hands*

Having trouble with thinking of something to ask hrmm

What part of the rw lore do you find most interesting? Like..what are your thoughts on it? any twists you've thought up or any detail/s you just wanna rant abt?

The rainworld lore is painfully a lot and painfully little at the same time, like why are the pearls focused on garbage worms and what is noise milking oh my goddd

moon isnt lore on her own but her pearl readings are a massive source of it. so if i had to say my favorite thing would be iterators and the relationship they had with their colonies. the fact they can vary and the fact iterators have different opinions of their parents!! (one iterator talked abt havjng to sit through dark political times awkwardly like 🧍🤷 at some points. thats funny)

ahem I looove it a lot!! for example the way moon worded her existence is sad. the way she speaks about them is sad. like in short “ancients must not try very hard so we do that for them. at least i did” <- smth along the lines

she sounds bitter she dislikes them with a hidden passion even when she has 5 braincells left. Not to mention she calls them parasites with bad takes (sheesh). something people dont really ?? recognize enough or at all imo is that moon almost retired (ancients moving away from her city) and she was happy about it. Until it didnt work out and some stayed and she was pissed again.

now pebbles speaks with softness (as much as he has it in him) he liked them! he liked their art! their music! he liked witnessing their stupid arguments even when they were in his name (he found the citadel he shaded funny for being so angry)

he found a lot of things they did stupid but he also was impressed in other aspects! he liked them a lot to the point the last item that he keeps for comfort and keeps him together as a whole is a hymn of theirs. even when abandoned, he finds comfort in the company they used to bring him!!! how sad!!

I have no idea how they work. Youd believe at first that when you die. You get reborn. Pain!!! never escaping!!

But that cant be the case it has sooo many plotholes if thats the case.

1 artificers kids died! straight up GONE. theyre dead!! thats why shes so insane you cant tell me theyre just lost somewhere and also pups cant ascend (me when i reach spiritual enlightenment at 10). theyre straight up gone.

2. imagine u defeat the scav kind and he comes back an hour later.. nah. thjngs DIE

3 why did the ancients go crazy over killing themselves then idk!

4 suns was basically crying about how they dont know what theyll do if spearmaster dies. yeah no respawning then.

So then the cycle is being reborn into smth new. great. how does karma play in this. how do you raise it. time? do you have your old memories after u go into a new cycle?? i dont know!! no scug has ever been plagued with dreams of being smth else before. !!! how do you confirm its a thing!! idk!! how do you know you are in a samsara! i wish we got ancients talking about it. in pearls or smth.

i havent ascended with saint yet. (reached karma 10 and bonked the siblings) but i doubt they answer all of my questions

random kiki rw lore fact- did you know that the rot area - (riv gameplay) there is a room in it thats just called terror!!! it upsets me greatly. the place is so different because the rot literally eats his walls. it fucks me up sometimes even if it seems obvious

i am going to put my emduo backstory headcanon brushup i wrote down in discord earlier here. just because ive been writing Around it and in case i publish any of my WIPs this is more context. or simply bc maybe one of u mite enjoy.

under the cut be a wall of text, unformatted, with typos abound:

ironing out a third or fourth version of emduo meet... and i really simply cannot get away from the 'EXTEEMELY mysterious dangerous self-sufficient vagabond guy journeying through all the lands over decades because he Can and Wants To' trope i think youd have to kill me at this point to get me to stop having having c!phil skittering around the world causing and solving problems. infinite flat world of minecraft. will he reach the edge and fall off into the void /j

[5:02 PM]so phil comes to this town and gets a tavern room to sleep and hes in the room laying on the bed with his stupid bird feet swinging behind him writing in a journal labeled 'year 57' which is how long hes been out of isolation for bc he just wants to meet ppl and travel etc when he hears a commotion across the river at a castle and is like "👀👀👀" so he flies over and is like "wots up :)" turns out the local peasants revolted killed the king and are working together to repurpose the castle and redistribute wealth and phils like "im not from around here but i can help if you want??" and theyr elike "shore!" and tell him to find any prisoners and hes like "ok i dont even NEED a key or lockpick hehehehe" and the guy internally is like 'ok! terrifying but i wont question that!'

[5:06 PM]so he finds a basement or dungeon and lets out all the imprisoned ppl and tells them to head upstairs where the organized locals will give them anythign they need. they all hurriedly thank him and scamper out to restart their lives as free men but theres one dude who is just fuckign terrified. a dubiously-teenaged piglin shoat who cant walk great but refuses to let phil touch him. so phil sits nearby and minutes turn to maybe an hour or two or three before hes able to convince the dude hes jsut a Random Guy Trying To Help and that Everything Is Cool Now and You Probably Should Take Antibiotics For That Scrape.

[5:11 PM]eventually the patience pays off and after heading up to the organized peasants one thing leads to another and phil is saying he can help the kid get back on his feet. then yknow it plugs into the old hc structure i have a pretty good handle on. cottagecore living where techno heals up and phil teaches him to read write cook hunt etc. and they simply become friends and never drift apart and are happy. ofc until some assholes from phils past show up one day try to stab him and techno throws himself into the way and dies bc he was also born hardcore. and then kristin (death god!) is like "WAIT I MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIX THIS-" and curses techno with all that blood god (a subordinate/more evil death god? like one of kristins shifty employees but thats all she could do in a short notice) shit but it restores his 1 life infinitely and gives him spidey senses.

[5:13 PM]so then techno respawns somewhere else and phil scrambles to find him bc kristin is like "ummmmmmmmmmm i sort of had to curse the dude sorry, but hes Alive" and then its a couple life cycles of Hell as techno adjusts to his new sort of divine powers and then they are able to calm down again and just be two dudes scampering around the world causing trouble and uncovering Forbidden Knowlege again

[5:14 PM]throw in the AE at some point bc they think theyre Smart Enough after a few centuries to lead better than other mortal blokes (theyre Wrong and it solidifies the whole anarchist philosophy about power over others etc) and then eventually u throw in a baby wilbur and land at the dsmp. mmm bqckstorie

[5:17 PM]the cottagecore section at the start before they really get into the Killing is such a comforting thing to think abt tbh. techno owning and caring for his first cows... trading recipies with the locals and waving to the townsfolk in the market,,, phil showing him a sturdy stitch to work deer hide with... hours and hours of bogus enchanting to learn somethign workable... making arrow tips by the fire...

[5:18 PM]etc etc. calm...

[5:19 PM]figured itd be a good foundation for a sweet guy trapped in a bigass piglin body whose destined to become a war criminal and mass murderer. makes it all add up ig

[5:20 PM]and then phils survivalist nature can be pinned on a couple of centuries of depending on only Himself and a little bit of creepy divine influence every couple of years. (points to death points to ender points to the empress)

[5:21 PM](mashes them up like potato in bowl) ingredience

[5:24 PM]also if u think abt it they Argue a Lot which just makes everythign funnier bc you know theyve been pinging back and forth the same braincell Forever and can have a whole assed conversation in "you suck >:(" "NAUR..."

anyway since im cringe and free heres a run down on what ive got so far for the spn au

the waynes are obviously the winchester stand ins :tm:, theyre obvi not high society billionaire rich in this. thomas and martha get murked by a demon or something and bruce gets raised by close family friend alfred

bruce picks up and adopts all his kids after they each deal with their own supernatural events that probably kill their parents and he trains them how to be efficient hunters

the wilsons are also a family of hunters, i guess kind of Rivals to the waynes. slade thinks hes hot shit. he's got all his kids like rose, joseph, Maybe respawn if i give a shit enough about him- he adopts orion too after they get involved with some shit that i havent decided yet. and, lucky them, because it still fits the au they get to keep their seeing dead people powers

i think maybe jason and orion meet by accident in their teens- maybe jason's on a hunt with bruce and orion, having been sent on a solo hunt by slade for the same mark, bumps into them and is like oh shit. probably reluctantly team up and jason and orion bicker the whole time. bruce is just happy that jason seems to be getting along with someone his own age (debatable)

maybe orion can get some Eldritch God heritage. i thought about it for their main canon but thought hmmm no. But it could fit here. hmmmm

GOD. GOD. YOUR THIRD LIFE ANIMATIC HAS ME IN SHAMBLES!! The editing of the music and the voice clips flow so well together. And I love how you show how happy everyone else is. How it all gets so much darker and more sinister when scar hits red. THAT SHORT OF GRIAN LOOKING HORRIFIED AS THE HEART SHATTERS ON THE GROUND,,, “there’s a room where the light won’t find you, holding hands as the walls come tumbling down” and Grian’s respawn room. GOD GOD GOD KABSKSBWK IM IN SHAMBLES OVER IT

I love the shot of Grian and scar covered in blood— and their expressions are just so good and show so much about their feelings about the whole affair— as it focuses on the friendship pass IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWED BY THE “YOU CAN KILL ME” CLIP???? YOU KILLED ME

The image of the darkness slowly overtaking Grian was so just… it was beautiful, and it was horrifying. I loved how it started with his eyes when Scar first died— then it covers his hands and face after he’s red. When he realizes just how much blood is on his hands. And how you tweened the eyes!! The tweening in their entire video is so phenomenal and the “I don’t feel good” clip with Grian covered in blood and crawling to the edge was just JAGSKEHKWEH GOD GOD GOD ITS SO GOOD!!!

The warping of his figure as he begins to fall is so good and I love the ending so much and just KABSKWBKWHW GOD I hope you know now how much I adore it

i am so so so so so glad you and so many other r enjoying that video to the degree that you do and finding so much meaning in the few things that i did not plan for LOL i did not even notice a tonal shift when scar turned red. so many of the events i drew are out of chronological order that it didnt even register, hell one of the opening shots shows grian at the top of the cliff

see the darkness overtaking him thing (throughout the whole animatic i mean) was a topsy turvy road in my brain. because like, i draw grians eyes fully black normally. i just think it's neat, it matches his mc skin. so stuff with his eyes being black is negligible unless we're looking at his scleras which do get a bit darker when the blood is spreading. the black irises do expand a bit too. (the shot where he sees scars 2nd death, the black eyes made him look not 'stricken with panic and grief' enough so i left them out)

but the blood coating him? from the fight and then his bound wings finally breaking free now that hes safe and alone, only to be twisted and wretched forms of what they couldve been with care ? well yeah that was on purpose. i sketched that sequence during a 2 hour kikuo bender. i was thinking a lot about that 3l comic with the line 'all that blood was never beautiful, it was just red' too. warping his figure was fun i wanted to make it look like he was wobbling on the balls of his feet and staggering but WOW he looks inhuman goopy in the final product

(also the shot with scar and the friend pass, the other guy is bdubs not grian, that why grians sword swings down above them and bdubs isn't looking in the direction it comes from. this is also why the friend pass in the intro is crumpled and with a bloody handprint.)

ahhhh the grian respawn room...the first time in the video i hint at grian going his own way and where that road ends for them...im messed up in the head about being alone in the world, compelled to kill the person who you stayed by, who you killed, who killed YOU and now theyre. gone. and you dont know what to do without them. and it hurts (literally and metaphorically)

Based on the quick glimpse I took around the 1010 district I'd say older models WERE VERY weaponised but over time they were taken out to become more cosmetic/streamline, but obivously they still have hidden weapons/lasers/....BOMBS because I feel those are main parts of their style?? like they still have the navy soldier vibe I wouldn't be surprised if they set something off during concerts for effects obvs...and another reason maybe is that Neon J is a paranoid old coot so he'd like to keep his gun sons at the ready please and thanks

Omg you r right..they never defend unless told to in the battle DOINK i bet theyre programmed to not feel pain/their memories transfer over to the next robot instantly so its like a minecraft instant respawn cheat mode situation, I could also say that they are programmed (as kpop lads) to not break their flirtatious/happy persona because attacking fans is a big no-no in the Big Book of Celebrity Fails (Vinyl City GOLD Edition) and negative emotions/screams destroy them anyway so they are LITERALLY PROGRAMMED TO NOT FEEL NEGATIVE do you think that was the same during the war? cause if they were programmed to feel pain/negativity/COWARDICE i bet the robots wouldn't have fought so...willingly hahaha at least thats what i think

I'd say they do practically everything togethurrr BUT they WILL go solo for the lolz. Have you ever seen those kpop boy vlogs where they go through haunted houses and stuff? I'd say it's a lot like that hahaha that'd be so funny. But yea I feel J-Dawg does give them at least SOME sentience so they could keep their audience even if it's not the whole group you know like streamers sometimes they play with friends but they're just as entertaining on their own.

ALSO HAHA about the dinner date ;) Even if they don't eat with the amount of advancements in technology at such an alarming rate/J-Dawg is a literal cyborg I would say there's SOME ways a robot could uh...'eat' even if it's just to feel included with humans/purely for the experience even if it doesn't do anything...I would say on a dinner date they'd make up for the lack of stomach with their mouth hahaha i can see them just talking and talking while you eat your human spaghetti or something. good boyfriend material if you like listening to people ramble lmao depends on your tastes

techno is king of a weird kingdom. He’s known as the blood god, so good at pvp even the Dream SMP kingdom can’t touch him.

His kingdom is just so weird though.

He’s had at least three wars that had no violence at all- literally just about which kingdom could get more potatoes farmed

His subjects all bully him, hes fine with it, and they’re actually all adore him anyways.

All of his citizens are strangely sarcastic (him even more so)

He’s allies with pogtopia, hates manburg

Its actually a really good match and in the end the winner gets to be Head Knight or sum, techno wins tho

Wilbur traps tommy ? in a room w just a bed, wilbur goes to explode l’manburg but techno exposes him (jschlatt is good in this one), n wilbur is caught

Tommy dies from starvation in the game just as wilbur is caught and they all panic They have no clue where tommy is but wilbur (who is bad but not that bad that he’d let tommy die over n over from starving) shows them where he is and his bed spawnpoint

But tommy isnt there and they panic because

It shows when somebody dies

Doesnt show when they permadeath

Does show when they Leave the Game

So they all panic but actually tommy’s just in the respawn menu, tired of everything and disassociating. He snaps out of it because of techno :)

smth i submitted to the current mercy megathread on blizzards forums

hi. im a D.Va main w/ 100 hours on her in total, but i also have a good 50-smth hours on Mercy. since the valkyrie rework was released back in september, ive been thinking of ways to make mercy players like myself happy while at the same time not making her op and a must pick.

before i list the proposed changes, let me just say that i kinda get why blizzard is so reluctant to revert. the people who theyre listening to arent just dps mains, but high-profile dps mains in the pro gaming industry. this is only speculation on my part, but i feel like they think (or have confirmed) that if they dont do certain things these players want regarding overwatch, they might pull out of the owl (Overwatch League, for those of you who arent informed.) however, this is a gross miscalculation of the highest degree regarding their playerbase. we arent just pawns to be moved about on a chessboard, buying their merch and going to their events as they never listen to us and only ever listen to those they think better than us. if every single person in plat and lower uninstalled, the player base would be at least a sixth of what it is right now. probably lower tbh.

the second reason why i think they havent pulled back the changes is, again, money. but this time im thinking of the artists and such. blizzard pays them a lot of money to design these things, and i feel like they want their investment to pay off so much that they arent looking at the bigger picture.

anyway, enough rambling from me. lets talk about the changes i think should take place.

Mercys ult needs to be reverted to group rez. while it is definitely the most boring, its also the most valuable to any team fight. however, she needs los (line of sight) on the souls shes trying to rez. for example, if shes trying to rez 5 players but two are in front of her and 3 are behind, shell only rez those two. this is good for open spaces. the rez animation is 1 second, and at the end of the animation the players are resurrected. during this time, she can be slept, stunned (Doomfist/Rein/McCree), hacked, or headshotted. she can take no other damage.

next, her e ability should be 8, mayyyybe ten seconds of fast flight, nothing more. this will help her fly quickly to team fights if theres no one in front of her. this will also help her get away from flanker dps (i.e., Genji and Tracer.)

i also propose changes to Reaper. his right click should be eating souls again. he has to stand still for 2 seconds, but he can cancel it at any time. if he successfully manages to eat a soul, Mercy cannot rez that person at that time. this does NOT mean that she cannot rez the person for the rest of the game, or even until one team gets a checkpoint. it only means that that person cannot be rezed with the rest in that specific rezing opportunity. but back to Reaper. if at any point, he has to cancel his right click, the soul is partially eaten. he can go back and finish it at any time so long as the person hasnt respawned yet. if he has to leave a partially eaten soul and mercy rezes it, the person will have less health depending on how close reaper was to fully consuming the soul. this also gives reaper ult charge and health.

i dont play Ana/Lucio/Zen, but i think they also need tweaks to their kits.

Ana does more healing than Mercy, but she needs to aim and has very low mobility. the slightly higher healing is negated by her high skill cap and no real way of getting away from flankers. Lucio can boop Genji/Tracer to death, and even though Zen has low mobility hes basically a dps masquerading as a healer so he can take most low-health targets on. she needs higher healing. the damage buff was good to protect her from flankers (a bit), but we really dont need another dps who heals only in name.

Lucio has great mobility and is really good for stalling the point, but his heals are minimal and his amp it up is on a 10-second cooldown. Ana has very low mobility, but she can heal faster, do more damage, and do more healing. her kit is also way more fun than Most-Time-On-Point-Man. even her skins are better. Zen is also low mobility, but his orb of discord more than makes up for that. Lucio also needs higher healing.

and finally, Zen. while a good Zen can 1v1 most dps, hes incredibly squishy and his healing orb is basically a joke. he has low mobility, incredibly low healing, and while he has high damage especially with discord (can oneshot Mercy if he charges all orbs at her) the good things about this hero are far and few between. he needs slightly higher mobility and higher healing. Lucios old healing rate (i.e., the current healing rate for Lucio) should probably work.

now if youve read all of this, first of all im so sorry. second of all, if you paid particular attention to the last few suggested hero changes, you should probably be aware that at this moment, none of them can solo heal. now this wouldnt usually be that bad, except for the fact that Mercy is currently the only one who can. shes also the only one who can bring someone back from the dead. think about that for a second. imagine youre a tank. its the last point on Dorado. your team is attacking and its ten seconds to overtime but the cart is five metres from the finish line. youre dead. suddenly, you see Mercy. shes the only one whos alive. she charges towards your corpses and with a mighty “HEROES NEVER DIE” she rezes you all and you win the fight and the game.

what i just talked about has been a point of contention in these forums for weeks now. thats right, weeks. now you might think “yeah that is op! its no wonder she was changed!” but think about this now. youre Reaper. youre defending on Dorado. the team is advancing towards the end. your Zarya gravs the cart and you Death Blossom, killing five people. how is that less op?

“Reaper does damage killing people so he needs more skill–” Mercy heals the people you as Reaper are trying to kill, because thats her job. you kill people as Reaper, because thats your job. you are not a healer and Mercy is (usually) not a DPS. stop comparing what you do to something completely different.

“Mercy just has to press Q–” so does Reaper. Reapers ult is literally just praying and pressing Q. thats it. if your Zarya gravs you dont even have to fucking pray. you just press that keyboard button and sit back.

“well your example was the only unskilled DPS ult in the game, youre clearly cherrypicking–” Tracer. Doomfist. Pharah. Fucking “Whats Up Fucks, Its High Noon McBitches” Cowboy Himself. Hanzo. Junkrat. even Torbjorn just has to press Q! TORBJORN

hopefully ive enlightened you all on why my proposed changes need to be in the game to revert one or two of the many DPS ults ive listed here.
